“As many of you may already know, Sting is undergoing treatment for the injuries he sustained in last night’s match with Seth Rollins. Doctors will continue to evaluate his condition, but he is a man of remarkable health and resiliency, especially at his age and with all he’s endured throughout his stellar career. Therefore, we are optimistic he will have a speedy recovery and return to full health soon. Sting has kept his body in excellent shape, due largely to the guidance he’s received from his personal trainer Jeff Cavaliere (ATHLEAN-X), and we trust this will prove beneficial to the recovery process. As a side note, we later learned the greatest damage to his body took place before the match was over, but being the true professional he is and among the hardest workers to ever step foot in the ring, he insisted to see the match through to the end.

Last night, during the Sting vs. Seth Rollins main event, Rollins gave Sting the Buckle Bomb and Sting appeared to not take the bump as straight as he should. THe match was stopped briefly but Sting got his wind back and they soon went to the finish, with Rollins getting the pin by countering the Scorpion Deathlock into a cradle.
According to TMZ, Sting underwent a CAT scan at the hospital Sunday and thankfully there were no fractures. Sting was released Monday afternoon and is on his way home. He’s able to walk but is in significant pain. TMZ’s headline reads, “Full Recovery Uncertain.”
Sting was injured during last night’s WWE Championship match against Seth Rollins at Night of Champions.
Towards the end of the match, Rollins delivered a powerbomb that sent Sting into the turnbuckles back-first. It was a high-impact bump that appeared to knock the wind out of the 56 year old legend. As the match continued, Sting was barely able to stay on his feet, which resulted in the referee stopping the match and a WWE trainer entering the ring to check on him.
Dave Meltzer has confirmed that Sting suffered a ‘significant’ neck injury that could be career-ended.
The match was restarted and went on for several more minutes, but the call was made to end the match early and Seth Rollins won with a small package.
Off camera, Sting was helped to the backstage area and received additional medical attention.
After coming up short in his WWE United States Championship match against John Cena, Seth Rollins managed to retain his WWE World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Sting in the main event of Sunday night’s WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view in Houston, Texas.
Following the match, Sheamus rushed to the ring and nearly cashed in his “Money In The Bank” briefcase, blasting Rollins with a “Brogue Kick,” only for a returning Kane — who came back with long hair and his traditional mask — to chokeslam him and stop him from doing so.
To make things even, however, Kane also choke slammed Rollins, and finished him off with a Tombstone Piledriver to end the pay-per-view.
John Cena defeated Seth Rollins in the co-main event of WWE Night Of Champions on Sunday night at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas to capture the WWE United States Championship for the fifth time.
Cena won the title by defeating Rollins via pin fall after hitting him with his “Attitude Adjustment” finisher. You can check out a photo of Cena celebrating with the U.S. title after the match below.
Immediately after the match, as Rollins was set to defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Sting in the very next bout, Rollins tried to run away to the backstage area, however Cena cut him off in the aisle and hit him with a second Attitude Adjustment, which you can view below.
During the WWE Night Of Champions 2015 Kickoff Show on the WWE Network, “Mr. Money In The Bank” Sheamus revealed a noteworthy item regarding tonight’s pay-per-view.
According to Sheamus, WWE World Heavyweight Champion and WWE United States Champion Seth Rollins will be defending both of his titles in back-to-back matches tonight.
Sheamus claims that Rollins will first defend his WWE U.S. title against John Cena and he will immediately follow that up by defending his WWE World title against Sting.

WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair recently appeared on WrestleZone Daily and stated once again that he’d love the chance to get back in the ring and he’s ready to go at a moment’s notice. Flair said:
“If I wanted to wrestle I can wrestle. If they wanted me to get slammed off the top rope by Sting next week, I can do it. I’m ready to go.“
The Nature Boy also talked about his longtime rival Sting finally making it to the big time in WWE. Flair called Sting the nicest guy in the world and talks about Sting joining the WWE Hall of Fame when his current run is up.
“I love Sting, he’s a great guy. He’s a wonderful person and a big part of my life. I’m not surprised he’s in the WWE. I encouraged him to go years ago. He deserves it for all his hard work. Let me tell you something, there is not a nicer person in the world than Sting. Steve Borden is the nicest kid in the world. Whatever he is getting he deserves. You know, everybody, kinda like me, you don’t want to make the move, you’re in a good place, making money… but there is nothing like working for the WWE. He wants to have a couple more matches and be in the Hall of Fame, which he deserves. He’s a great kid, a great father and just a wonderful person.”
Sting recently spoke with The Houston Chronicle to promote his WWE World Heavyweight Championship match against Seth Rollins at this Sunday’s WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view.
During the interview, Sting spoke about finally joining WWE after avoiding the promotion for so many years.
“Quite honestly, I never thought it would happen, that I’d be in the WWE, but here I am,” said Sting. “Whether I was right or wrong, I made a decision to stay with another group that came to the table with everything I was asking for.”
Sting continued, “I stayed apart from WWE, and I was fine. This year, I figured it was time.”
– Although WWE had been indicating that John Cena vs. Seth Rollins would headline this Sunday’s WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view, they are now talking like Cena vs. Rollins will take place prior to Sting vs. Rollins.
– Michael Cole recently noted that he has lost 65 pounds in 11 months.
– The next edition of “Superstar Ink” with Corey Graves will feature Kofi Kingston. You can check out a preview below.
Sting, who’s doing his late media for this Sunday’s Night of Champions pay-per-view event, granted an interview to Rolling Stone’s Kenny Herzog that went up today. Among other topics, he talks about the promo he cut on Seth Rollins a week or two back where it seemed to some fans like he was randomly putting over Triple H at Seth Rollins’ expense. “I don’t pay attention a lot of times to what’s out there, so this is the first time I’m hearing any news of that. I don’t think there’s anyone who’s going to carry all that to Night of Champions and think about that, because the bottom line is, my focus is Seth Rollins. Triple H is Triple H, and he’s worth the put-over.”
When it comes to Sting’s promos right now, he said that “I’m working collaboratively, but there’s no one looking over my shoulder making sure this or that is being said. I am definitely allowed to ad-lib and be Sting.” Later, when asked about how he’s shown different sides of his character on his promos as of late (like tha “Joker Sting” from TNA), he answered by saying that “This is one of the things I always try to tell the younger guys when they ask for advice. I try to tell them to step outside of their comfort zones, try something different.”
Noting that some fans are always asking him to go back to the blonde spiked hair, different fans ask for the stoic, non-verbal “Crow” Sting, others ask for “Joker Sting,” and so on, he told Herzog that “You can’t please everybody all the time, that’s for sure, and I can’t say that I have blown it or failed over the years by trying different things and trying to evolve and show different sides of my character. Hopefully, it’s working.”
In the full interview, Sting discusses other topics like wrestling at 56 years old, whether he’ll ever engage fans on social media, and more.
WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross recently updated his official blog with his latest thoughts and opinions on a number of subjects. Below are some of the highlights.
On the finish to RAW: “The finish of the show was perfect to build to Sunday’s NOC as Sting beating Rollins as tried an true, old school booking. Still curious as to why WWE did not heavily promote Sting’s first ever match on RAW in advance especially going up against the Monday Night Football double header. Nice booking.”
On the finish to the Nikki Bella vs. Charlotte title match: “Had no issue with villain Nikki cheating to retain her title and creating another opportunity to have another title bout in Houston Sunday against a motivated Charlotte. I only hope that Charlotte will never be earmarked to be a umpteen time champion which is one of the more overrated stats in pro wrestling. WWE is blessed with some amazing female talent and if they are not booked liked females have traditionally been more often than not in the biz in the past, they have something special to work with that will be new and fresh.”
“Nonetheless, Charlotte is amazingly athletic and a special talent and she reminds me of a female Kurt Angle.”
On Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman: “Love that @HeymanHustle and Brock Lesnar are not on every RAW as it keeps them special ala Andre the Giant back in the day when he was the most valued attraction in the game. Same goes for Taker which is another reason that I feel that the Deadman isn’t retirement ready.”
On Cesaro: “Damn, I’m a major fan of Cesaro and for the life of me still fee that he is massively underutilized. His in ring work/persona is SO strong that he’s a main eventer waiting to explode. I’d still love to see him some day have a match with Lesnar just for my own old school enjoyment. esaro is money…so please cash the check.”

After Monday’s WWE RAW from Memphis went off the air, John Cena grabbed a microphone and took a moment to acknowledge Kiara Grindrod, the 7 year old girl in the crowd who learned last week that she is now cancer free. Cena and Sting greeted her and her family at ringside as the crowd chanted, “This is awesome.”
– WWE is running a new poll on their official website asking fans who the scariest member of The Wyatt Family is. The options include Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, Luke Harper and the mysterious Sister Abigail. While Strowman came in first with 47 percent of the vote, the unknown Sister Abigail isn’t far behind with 30 percent of the vote. Oddly enough, Wyatt, the leader of the group only has 17 percent. You can vote on the poll at WWE.com.
– WWE Superstar R-Truth has released his new single, “Pump It Up,” which is available on iTunes. Truth posted the following tweet on Thursday to promote the song.
WWE sent out an email blast to lapsed WWE Network subscribers featuring a video of Sting, who encourages them to re-join the Network and watch him make history at Night of Champions.
Sting says that former subscribers should give the Network another shot so they can “make history together” when he captures the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from Seth Rollins:
“I’m not here to shake hands. I’m not here to make friends. I’m here to win the one thing that has evaded me my entire career.
At Night of Champions, I will defeat Seth Rollins and become the new WWE World Hvt. champion. So, come back and let’s make history together!”
As seen on RAW last night on RAW, Sting’s psychological warfare against WWE Champion Seth Rollins continued with the destruction of Rollins’ coveted bronze statue. The two will settle their differences in the ring on Sunday, September 20th at Night of Champions.
Rollins posted the following image on Instagram on Tuesday, venting about how much work went into creating the monument.
WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross updated his official website blog on Monday with his thoughts and comments on a number of topics. Below are some of the highlights.
On comparing the Jimmy Snuka/Hulk Hogan incidents: “Amazing that some people want me to compare Hulk’s untimely remarks to the 3rd degree murder charges filed against Jimmy Snuka. How do I do that? What sense does that question even make? What am I missing? How can they possibly be in the same ball park.”
On tonight’s RAW: “RAW tonight will feature Sasha Banks vs. Paige tonight from what I read. Give them time to tell a compelling story and it will do wonders for the women’s division. Why book the women any differently than the men are utilized? WWE needs to focus on fewer women and they will get over and then in turn they can help others get over. Right now the division has little marketable identity and is too cluttered but the good news is that there is talent in abundance available to work with.”
On Undertaker and Sting retirement rumors: “From what I can determine, Wrestlemania Texas will NOT be the Undertaker’s final match but the jury is still out on whether it will be Sting’s last one. No, I don’t see them having a match vs each other there either. Plus, I don’t see how WWE gets all the way to April for the Taker vs. Lesnar ‘rubber match’ if that’s in the cards.”
On Lana’s injury: “Apparently Lana will be out of commission as it relates to physicality for approximately four months with a wrist injury. Perhaps this will give her time to get her back in those business suits and not what she’s been wearing lately. We wish her a speedy recovery.”

Originally, the man expected to fulfill the role as the third “mystery” member of the team of Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose to take on The Wyatt Family trio consisting of Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Braun Strowman, was “The Icon” Sting.
Instead, as noted in our original report, the leading candidate at this point as the mystery member of the Reigns-Ambrose team is none other than former Wyatt Family member Erick Rowan.
It should be noted that until further notice, this should be taken strictly as speculation at this point.

– For the second week in a row, it appears that WWE is bringing Sting in for RAW after he wasn’t originally scheduled for the show. Creative plans reportedly changed on Thursday and Sting, who was not originally scheduled, will in fact appear on Monday’s RAW in Baltimore, Maryland.
– WWE Tough Enough finalist Amanda was in attendance at the WWE television tapings this week in Florida. Amanda reportedly flew to Orlando after the SmackDown tapings this week, possibly to train at the WWE Performance Center. Amanda is from New York and returned to Orlando as soon as she was eliminated from Tough Enough. According to PWInsider.com, WWE already has interest in Amanda, which was expected.
– Regarding Rey Mysterio and Alberto El Patron, their mentality right now is that they are not looking to come back to WWE, and would only entertain the idea if they were to have a reduced schedule as they are doing very well right now working where and when they want.
– At this point, the guest for Steve Austin’s “Stone Cold Podcast” on the WWE Network in the month of October is scheduled to be “The Icon” Sting.
– The October 3rd WWE special from Madison Square Garden will be the 25th anniversary of Chris Jericho’s professional wrestling debut, which was on October 3, 1990 against Lance Storm in Ponoka, Alberta, Canada.
Currently, Sting is not expected to appear on next Monday night’s edition of WWE RAW in Baltimore, Maryland. Plans could always change of course, but as of right now “The Icon” is not scheduled for the show.
While “The Stinger” won’t be at RAW next week, “The Big Red Machine” just might.
According to PWInsider.com, Kane is scheduled to be in attendance at RAW next Monday night. Whether or not he returns on television in the current storylines remains to be seen, but he is scheduled to be at RAW and is also set to return on the road with WWE next week.
WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross recently updated his official blog with his thoughts and comments on a number of topics. Below are some of the highlights.
On Sting vs. Seth Rollins at Night Of Champions: “The Sting-Rollins NOC Title bout is intriguing to me on a variety of fronts. It’s great to see old friend Sting get to headline a major WWE event even thought as I write this he has yet to win a WWE bout if you’re keeping score at home. Perhaps tonight will change that piece of business unless WWE is ‘saving’ Sting’s next in ring appearance for NOC. Rollins is evolving into a top hand without question and it will be interesting to see how he and Sting compliment each other’s strengths on September 20 in Houston. I like the booking. I think the match will out perform some skeptics predictions and that it should be a significant night for young, Rollins. Or does Sting score the upset and Sheamus cashes in the MITB Contract to become the Champ? I assume any thing is possible but I see Rollins retaining.”
On Hulk Hogan: “I missed the Hulk Hogan on ABC appearance Monday morning and it will be interesting to see the fallout or lack thereof will be on this matter as the week progresses. I’ve never considered Hogan a racist but obviously his choice of words is unacceptable in any environment. Hopefully, his public will forgive him and he can get on with the business of being “The Hulkster” and earning a living of which everyone has the right to do. Forgiveness isn’t a foreign term and can still be done in today’s cynical world if the individual seeking forgiveness is sincere and I have every reason to believe that Hogan is sincere as his rant was embarassing and humiliating with the ability to completely wreck one’s career.”
On Bram’s arrest: “Sad to hear that TNA’s now suspended Bram has been arrested on two, felony counts of domestic battery in Florida. It might be challenging for the Brit to keep his credentials to stay in the USA under these circumstances considering that he has an existing arrest record that prompted him to get released by WWE. The entire matter is unfortunate as Bram aka Thomas Latimer is a solid talent? who I thought had a significant upside when I first saw him in WWE developmental. I’d be shocked if TNA retained his services if these charges are validated. Plus, one has to feel empathy for the alleged victim.”

At Monday’s edition of WWE RAW in Tampa, Florida, another title match was made official for the WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view in Houston, Texas in September.
During the main event segment, it was announced that every title must be on the line at the WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view, so while Seth Rollins has a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match against Sting, he will also be defending his WWE United States Championship.
Challenging Rollins for the U.S. title at Night Of Champions will be the former champion, John Cena.

It looks like we may finally get to see the Seth Rollins statue that was never officially unveiled in the ring at last Monday’s post-SummerSlam edition of WWE RAW.
WWE is teasing that on Monday’s edition of RAW in Tampa, Florida, the Rollins statue may finally be revealed.
As noted, WWE has also announced that Sting, who attacked Rollins last week, setting up the Night Of Champions title match between the two, will be kicking off Monday’s show.
WWE posted the following teaser regarding Sting and Rollins, as well as the potential unveiling of the Rollins statue on RAW:
After beating both Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, absorbing some serious punishment from The Beast Incarnate at WWE Battleground and defeating John Cena for the United States Title at SummerSlam, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins has grown pretty fearless as of late, which is probably why he seems unfazed by Sting’s sudden re-emergence in WWE — a return that led to a one-on-one World Title clash between The Architect and The Vigilante at Night of Champions.
Rollins oozed bravado on SmackDown, where he wrote Sting off as an “artifact” and vowed to finish what The Cerebral Assassin started at The Show of Shows by crushing his “old bones to dust.” Is The Architect underestimating the WCW icon?
Plus, there’s still the matter of Rollins’ missing statue, which was to be unveiled last Monday night before Sting’s ambush. Will “The Future of WWE” reclaim his bronze likeness this week?
WWE continues to make announcements regarding Monday’s edition of RAW, as we can now officially report another match for Monday’s show in Tampa, Florida.
Earlier this weekend, WWE announced that Sting will be opening Monday’s RAW to address what happened with Seth Rollins last week, as well as their upcoming WWE Night Of Champions title match.
WWE also announced a first-ever “Divas Beat The Clock Challenge,” where Paige, Charlotte and Becky Lynch will compete to see who wins a WWE Divas title shot against Nikki Bella at Night Of Champions.
On Sunday, WWE announced that in addition to the opening segment with Sting and the “Divas Beat The Clock Challenge,” Dolph Ziggler will go one-on-one with “The Bulgarian Brute” Rusev.

WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross recently updated his official Q&A section, answering questions from fans a wide variety of topics. Below are some of the highlights.
On WWE possibly cross-promoting a big event with New Japan Pro Wrestling: “I’d never count WWE out of any negotiations as it relates to building their brand or associating with other groups as a source for securing new talents. In the big picture, would NJPW rather have a great deal with WWE or a great deal with ROH?”
On how WWE kept the identity of the Kane character under wraps during the Attitude Era: “I actually have never thought of that nor do I know if WWE was truly successful in keeping Kane’s identity a secret. You know the old saying…..telephone, telegraph, tell a wrestler.”
On how much WWE management would talk about the internet wrestling community: “Not much unless it was news that was meant to be kept off the grid. All in all, a non issue for the most part. Don’t know how it is today. ”
On Greg Valentine saying women have no place in wrestling: “Greg was a great in ring performer just like his Dad Johnny Valentine. Solid as a rock. I did not read his opinions on women in wrestling and he has a right to his take whether it’s a popular take or not.”
On Sting vs. Undertaker rumors: “I think that we can forget about Sting vs. Taker. All storylines in the biz can be simpler and more logical and it would make me happier. Plus, paying more attention to continuity would be smart on their part as well.”
On how to get over as an outstanding wrestling announcer: “Product knowledge, sense of timing and humor, ability to communicate in sound bytes are all good starting points with the bottom line being that the goal is to get talents over and not yourself.”
