– Hideo Itami is believed to be returning to action for NXT in the next few weeks. He’s been out of action for 13 months after his first shoulder surgery didn’t go as planned. With the WWE brand split returning and a lot of NXT talent getting called up to fill out the RAW and SmackDown rosters, it will be interesting to see where Itami winds up.

Featured above is Michael Cole’s latest weekly sit-down interview, which this week features real-life engaged couple Rusev and Lana.
During the interview Cole brings up Lana not “going all the way” with Dolph Ziggler, which Lana says is true, noting she has always been a “good girl.” She mentioned that her father, a Russian minister, raised her to “save herself for marriage,” which she claims is exactly what she’s doing.
Cole also asks about Rusev “going all the way” with Summer Rae, noting he has a source that claims Rusev wasn’t being honest, as he did “go all the way” with Summer on more than one occasion.
The two talk about their real-life engagement, which is now being used in the current WWE storylines. Lana mentions that she tried not to show it when they were fighting, but she always loved Rusev. Rusev said he loves Lana with all his heart and that he might have done some things wrong in the past, but they’ve talked it over and are moving on.
Finally, Rusev and Lana mention that they will be having two weddings. One will be in September in Bulgaria, and the second one will be a three-day wedding in Russia. Rusev says their American friends are invited, but their ceremony will not be televised and won’t be on the WWE Network.
The heated Twitter exchange between Paige and Lana has been a point of discussion within WWE this week. Lana accused Paige of bullying her while the two were in NXT together, while Paige denied the claim and said Lana is just hungry for fame. Summer Rae and former NXT creative assistant Rob Naylor both came to Paige’s defense.
According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE officials aren’t happy with Lana, and she apparently has even more backstage heat due to the Twitter war with Paige. WWE has reportedly been upset with Lana ever since she went public with her engagement to Rusev, as they felt it ruined their television storyline with Rusev and Summer Rae. After Lana posted about her engagement to Rusev, the WWE.com team was instructed to turn the real-life situation into an angle, feeling that was the way to go about covering things up and convincing fans that it was just part of a storyline.
Prior these incidents, Lana was one of Vince McMahon’s favorite young talents. Whether or not that is still the case after all of the drama remains to be seen.

As noted and announced officially by WWE despite the fact that it was on a taped show, NXT star Tyler Breeze made his official main roster debut at the SmackDown television tapings on Tuesday night in Austin, Texas.
Breeze had been paired with Summer Rae on a couple of live events in the past and according to one source, he was put with Summer coming out of the gate on the main roster to test out how the two fit together as a pair in the main roster storylines.
According to F4WOnline.com, WWE is already working on marketing “selfie sticks” as merchandise for Breeze, which has led to speculation that Breeze’s push will be taken more seriously than some may have expected. He has already started out strong, as he attacked Dolph Ziggler during a Miz TV segment on his debut appearance.
Below is some of the promotion WWE has given Breeze’s debut on various social media accounts.

It’s worth noting that despite the rumors, F4WOnline.com is reporting that Ciampa has not officially signed a WWE contract as of Sunday.

According to a new F4WOnline.com report, WWE already has creative plans for Breeze, including a new ring entrance and a gimmick where Breeze sells “selfie sticks.”
With Breeze set for his new role and Summer Rae expected to get a new role now that she is no longer with Rusev, there are rumors that Breeze and Summer will be put together as a duo. Summer actually served as Breeze’s manager at a WWE live event in Raleigh, North Carolina back in May. Below is a photo of the two.
– Summer Rae reportedly took a shot at Lana on Twitter after the angle she did with Rusev on Monday night’s edition oRAW in Chicago, Illinois. Renee Young has been the victim of online bullying in recent months, specifically on Instagram. Trolls have turned the comments section on her photos into a wasteland, calling her names and often accusing her of cheating on Dean Ambrose any time she posts a photo of a guy who isn’t Dean. After it happened again this week (photo below), WWE Divas Summer Rae and Eden stepped in to the defense of their friend. Here’s what they wrote:
Summer Rae: “TO EVERYONE IN THESE COMMENTS: I feel so so very sorry for most of you. The fact that you actually take your OWN precious time out of your day to make these lame comments is so weird. Like REALLY odd. Kinda creepy even that the infatuation with someone’s personal life of a person you don’t know could be THAT strong. If you are unsure of what to do with your spare time I would suggest hobbies or volunteering for a local homeless shelter or opening your mind & reading a book. I know it may take a long time for some of you guys but hey, we all have to start somewhere. Think how much better the world would be if all of these internet stalkers trolling around actually got up & put the time it takes to put people down on the internet…to good use! Now that would be a great world to live in! I won’t hold my breathe for that day but hey, a gal can dream.”
Eden: “What was the saying? What if you fell in love with someone and then found out they trolled celebrities on the Internet? My guess…it’s already happened and that’s why trollin’ is all they got!,” Rhodes said.
This is the photo in question .. the guy is supposedly a friend of Dean Ambrose:
WWE’s ongoing storyline involving Rusev, Summer Rae, Lana and Dolph Ziggler will most likely conclude with Rusev and Lana being reunited, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
The feeling behind the scenes is that both Rusev and Lana are worse off now than when they were together, which is hard to deny. Rusev remains a dominant physical force and has been pretty funny on Twitter when taunting Lana, but this angle has not done his character any favors. Lana was red hot earlier this year and really on the cusp of becoming a breakout performer before WWE stripped her of the evil Russian spokesperson gimmick that got her over.
No word on whether Ziggler and Summer Rae will wind up on television, but hopefully Rusev and Lana can rekindle the heat they had just a few months ago.
There has been some speculation following Sunday night’s WWE live event in Fairfax, Virginia regarding the possibility that Lana suffered an injury.
While Lana did work the WWE live events on Friday and Saturday, getting involved with Summer Rae during the Dolph Ziggler vs. Rusev matches, she did not work Sunday’s WWE live event. Instead, Ziggler worked the show by himself.
Additionally, Lana tweeted the following on Sunday evening alluding to the fact that she is banged up:
She spoke to WWE.com about the opportunity, noting that “‘Iron Man’ loved my message about having a healthy lifestyle … I got the shoot on my own, which I am very proud of.”
Aside from talking to the magazine about her physical fitness routine and life on the road with WWE, she also promoted a cause very near and dear to her, a charity her family started up entitled The Dean Thomas Moinet Foundation. The foundation is “for medically fragile children in North Carolina,” and aims to provide free residency for families during hospital stays.
The latest issue of Iron Man Magazine with Summer Rae is now available at newsstands everywhere.
On Monday’s edition of WWE RAW in Tampa, Florida, a big segment was announced for this week’s edition of WWE SmackDown, which will be taped on Tuesday night in Miami, Florida.
On a special edition of Miz TV with The Miz, both Dolph Ziggler and Lana will be the guests to sort out the business stemming from RAW.
During Monday’s RAW, a mystery angle happened involving Dolph Ziggler and Summer Rae, with Ziggler claiming innocence and Summer claiming Dolph made a move on her.

With WWE SummerSlam in the rear view, we’re already looking ahead to WWE Night of Champions, which takes place on Sunday, September 20th.
On the latest installment of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed two matches that are already being planned for the show. After retaining the Intercontinental championship last night at SummerSlam, Ryback looks to be putting his gold on the line against The Miz. Also, there is talk of having a mixed tag match featuring Dolph Ziggler and Lana vs. Rusev and Summer Rae.
Following his win at SummerSlam, Seth Rollins now holds the WWE World Heavyweight championship and the Untied States Championship. We’ll see the matter addressed tonight on RAW, but we’ll see how long Seth holds on to both titles. Other titles that will be up for grabs include Nikki Bella’s Divas Championship and The New Day’s tag team titles.
Dolph Ziggler returned Monday night on RAW and will be squaring off against Rusev this Sunday at SummerSlam. He had been out of action for several weeks with a ‘throat injury’ (filming WWE Studios’ “6:42”) and resumed his romance with Lana and feud with the Bulgarian Brute.
Lana was ringside on commentary for Rusev’s match against Mark Henry. As the announcers talked about her recent issues with Rusev and Summer Rae, she said she’s not worried and teased she had something up her sleeve. Rusev defeated Henry in a hard fought match with the Accolade.
After Rusev and Summer Rae celebrated, Lana got into the ring, took her shoes off and began screaming at the heels. Lana pointed at Summer Rae and told her to get in the ring. She did just that. She took her shoes off, charged at Lana and got slapped in the face. Summer Rae went down hard. Lana then pointed at Rusev, who went face to face with his former manager. Just as Rusev was closing in on her, Lana looked to the entrance area with a smile.
Dolph Ziggler’s music hit and the show off sprinted to ringside. Ziggler took out Rusev with a flurry of offense and was about to deliver a superkick, before Rusev put Summer Rae in the way in cowardly fashion. Lana delivered a kick to Summer Rae’s head and Dolph Ziggler knocked Rusev out of the ring with a superkick.
The heels retreated while Ziggler and Lana celebrated in the ring. The two made out while Rusev flipped out at ringside.
Backstage, JoJo caught up with Ziggler and Lana. Ziggler said what he’s feeling right now is why this is the best job in the world. Ziggler challenged Rusev to a match at SummerSlam and declared that he’s back. Later in the show, they confirmed the match is official.
