RT like a sumbitch and hash tag redneck island.” Austin then proceeded to post nearly 50 tweets himself with the hash tag, “#RedneckIsland,” many of which were complaints about commercials and comments about how much beer he was drinking while watching the show.

– It was been widely speculated that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s loss to nemesis John Cena at WrestleMania 29 may have been the final time he competed inside a wrestling ring. While Johnson has no problem with it possibly being his last match, he is not ruling out a return to the squared circle.

“I’d like to leave it open. But if I’d never wrestle again, I’d be very content with that,” Johnson said to TheProvince.com while on set filming the season finale of TNT’s The Hero. “Winning or losing never really mattered to me. The whole idea was to put on a great match. Got injured in that match. Still was able to walk out on my own, which I was more happy about. I don’t know. We’ll see.”

WWE/TNA Stars Work Together On Comic Book, Jericho Predicts Bryan Title Win

-Former WWE Diva Beth Phoenix, current TNA Impact Wrestling star Mr. Anderson, as well as WWE Hall Of Famer and current weekly RAW color-commentator Jerry “The King” Lawler are all involved in a Kickstarter campaign to fund a new comic book project titled, “Headlocked: The Last Territory.”

The official Kickstarter page for the project lists the following synopsis:

What is Headlocked?

In one sentence, it’s a wrestling cable drama in a comic book!

Headlocked is a coming-of-age story chronicling a college theater major’s quest to become a professional wrestler. It begins from the moment he unexpectedly falls in love with wrestling and follows his journey through the insanity of the wrestling business as he chases his dream of making it to the bright lights and the big stage of the WFW.

On a deeper level, Headlocked is an examination of wrestling as an art form. Our main character, Mike Hartmann, is a college theater major that drops out of school to try and break into the wrestling business. So the reader will learn more about the craft of wrestling through the eyes of a performance artist.

To further our theme of wrestling as art, we use wrestlers to contribute to the book artistically. Our interior artist, Michel Mulipola, is a wrestler from New Zealand. And our cover artist, you might have heard of him….

WWE Hall of Famer, Jerry “The King” Lawler!

If you read further, you’ll see we have a metric ton of awesome guest contributors from the world of comics and wrestling lined up to help make this even better!

Check out the official Kickstarter page for more information on the comic book and to donate to the project.

Jim Ross Blog: John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan, CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar, If WWE Would Work With TNA

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has upated his blog, which you can read in its entirety at JRsBarBQ.com Here are some highlights of what he said about:

If He Watches TNA: Yes…I watch TNA periodically as I have many friends who work there and, no, I don’t have any ‘solutions’ to their alleged woes that I care to share. I do hope TNA all the success in the world.

If WWE Would Ever Work With TNA: No…there will NEVER be a WWE/TNA partnership unless WWE owned TNA and that’s highly unlikely to ever occur. Please don’t start that rumor but some brain surgeons will. WWE has zero to gain in said ‘partnership.’

John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan at SummerSlam: Thinking that @JohnCena vs. @WWEDanielBryan at Summer Slam could resemble a Cena vs. @ShawnMichaels or @Real KurtAngle match vs. anything that we’ve seen from the WWE Champion in recent years. Bryan’s pace and skill set will sternly challenge Cena on a night where we could readily see the @WWE Title changing hands in Los Angeles. Bryan’s speed would seem to be problematic for Cena….or anyone.

CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam: Thinking that the pending @CMPunk vs. @BrockLesnar match at Summer Slam will be really good. Very Physical. Straight forward. Both men have healthy egos which is an essential part of being a major star in any endeavor especially in sports and entertainment. ‘Controlled’ egos are often hidden within the term ‘self confidence.’ Nonetheless, it will be intriguing to see Punk’s strategy to counter Lesnar’s obvious size and strength advantage plus Brock’s athletic skill set. One can’t win on heart alone or compel PPV buyers to invest simply on the”I won’t quit” sort of attitude. That obviously helps but fans need to know that the underdog (Punk) has a ‘plan’ and a legit chance to ‘overcome.’ All that aside, both Lesnar and Punk will want to steal the show at Summer Slam in a big time way and @HeymanHustle will foster that mindset. There are many, unique elements at play in this main event level bout.

Rumored Finish For Cena vs. Bryan At SummerSlam, Orton Cashing In Soon?

WWE’s creative team has been working on the finish for the main event of SummerSlam, featuring John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship.

More Rumored Matches For WWE SummerSlam 2013

One scenario that’s being discussed is for Daniel Bryan to defeat John Cena for the title – only for Randy Orton to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase and defeat Bryan on the spot. This would give Daniel Bryan his big “feel good” win – allow Randy Orton to finally turn heel in dramatic fashion – and set up Daniel Bryan to chase a heel Randy Orton for the WWE Championship.

It’s being speculated that WWE.com’s announcement that Orton suffered a spinal injury at Tuesday’s SmackDown tapings was done to get Orton off TV for several weeks – and make it even more of a surprise when he returns & cashes in.

Steve Austin’s Rumored WrestleMania XXX Opponent, Undertaker’s Status

– The Undertaker had been rumored for a possible match at this year’s SummerSlam, but those plans are now off. The Undertaker is currently recovering from recent shoulder surgery and at this point, it’s doubtful whether he’ll be healthy in time for WrestleMania XXX next April.

– Speaking of WrestleMania XXX, speculation continues that WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin will return for one more match at the event.  In the event that WWE and Steve Austin can reach a deal for him to appear – the current plan is for Steve Austin to wrestle his former tag team championship partner (and heated adversary): Triple H.

A Steve Austin vs. Triple H feud would be an extension of the storied Austin vs. McMahon Family feud and would involve Triple H turning heel.

  • COMMENT BELOW and tell is if you like the idea of Steve Austin vs Triple H at WrestleMania XXX, or if you’d rather see Austin wrestle CM Punk (or someone else).
