Wrestling veteran ‘Superstar’ Billy Graham is dealing with multiple health issues and he has been diagnosed with an infection in his ear and skull.
The former WWE star’s official Facebook page recently provided a health update on behalf of Valerie Coleman, the wife of the wrestling legend.
The statement asked people to keep Billy Graham in their prayers. The Facebook post revealed that an infection in his ear has now spread to the bones as well as area of skull:
“Lots of issues… MRI showed he has a very bad infection in his ears that has spread to the bones in his ears as well as an area of his skull…infectious disease doctor was just in trying to decide what antibiotics they’re going to start him on.”
Apart from the issues caused by the infection, Graham is dealing with low sodium. Per the update, it’s proving very difficult to treat.
Billy Graham is a former WWE and NWA star. He made his debut in the 1970 and the 79-year-old wrestled for various promotions till 1987.
During his long career, Graham won multiple titles including the WWWF Heavyweight Championship. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004 but he later had a falling out with the McMahon family.

The WWE Hall of Famer announced on his Facebook page that he has some infections in his toes and his Mayo Clinic surgery will amputate a few of them.
Graham mentioned that he will not be active on social media as he’ll be recovering and healing in between surgeries. He wrote the following:
“Health Issues. Hi fans, nice shot here while working in Japan for you, enjoy. I have some infections in a few toes and my Mayo Clinic surgeon must do some partial amputations. This is going to take some time to recover from so I will be offline for a while.
If you good folks out there have any photos or thoughts you would like to put up in the meantime my FB is open for business. I just won’t be responding for the next 2 or 3 weeks, I have to heal up in between surgeries and it takes full concentration. Catch up with you all a little further down the line. Superstar Billy Graham.”
Graham has been battling health issues as late as this past September he checked into the Mayo Clinic for heart issues. Graham turned 79 years old on June 7th.
Wrestling veteran and WWE Hall Of Famer “Superstar” Billy Graham has returned home after being hospitalized at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona due to some heart problems earlier this week.
The news of his hospitalization was revealed by the former WWE star himself. He noted on his Facebook page this past Sunday that he was headed to the hospital and was expected to be admitted.
The page was updated on Monday with a message from Graham’s wife Valerie. She noted that Billy had been hooked up to IV lasix to help get fluid out of his lungs.
The former WWWF champion then provided the latest update on his condition via another post earlier this Wednesday. In the post made on Facebook, he said that he appreciates all the wishes he has received.
Billy Graham revealed that he has returned to his home. He noted that he is still very weak and Graham said that he can ‘barely lift a spoon of soup to his mouth’.
Though the 78-year-old promised that he will overcome this hurdle. The retired wrestling star also claimed that doctors have confirmed that his past steroid use is not responsible for his current problems.
Billy Graham had multiple runs with WWE and NWA in the 70s and 80s. He had a 17-year long career during which, he won over a dozen titles in various promotions. You can check out his latest Facebook post below:
“Superstar” Billy Graham has reacted to Vickie Guerrero’s recent revelation that WWE Superstars are no longer allowed to appear on her podcast. The decision was reportedly made after Vickie appeared on an episode of All Elite Wrestling’s YouTube show, Dark. She joined Excalibur in a guest commentator role. She was also present during Chris Jericho’s recent Rock’ N’ Wrestling Rager cruise.
Taking to his Facebook account, Graham lambasted the decision, labelling Vince McMahon a “scumbag bastard.”

“[…] This man has to be the single most evil human being walking the face of the earth. To deny a woman’s right to make a living when her husband gave his life for this unworthy pile of dung,” Graham wrote. “He won’t let her have any of his talent to simply sit and talk on a Podcast, while this coming Thursday, Febuary 27 he will be putting on a show in Saudi Arabia with his partner the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohamed bin Salam who will be paying 50 million dollars for this one night show and oh yes, personally ordered the murder and dismemberment of American journalist Jamal Khashoggi.”
Graham vented his frustration at Vince’s refusal to allow Vickie to “make some nickles and dimes” with her podcast. He stressed the point, highlighting how Vince is about to make “50 million dollars soaked in Khashoggi’s blood.”
Billy Graham accompanied his post with a picture of himself next to the late-Eddie Guerrero.
Vickie had previously shared her shock at WWE’s decision: “I was just like, ‘Wow. They’re gonna be like that.” So you just quietly move on and you see how they are and you just have to take care of your own business.”

As noted, WWE Hall Of Famer “Superstar” Billy Graham has not been a fan of Kofi Kingston’s WWE Title run. Upon Kingston being announced as part of the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania, Graham expressed his concern with the booking.
Shortly after Bryan’s title win in New Jersey, Graham suggested that Kingston actually take steroids to improve his look. This advice wasn’t received well by the professional wrestling community, sparking outrage from the likes of WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T. Now, Graham has doubled down on his comments in a recent Facebook post.
Graham said that he advised Kingston to use steroids, but he never said anything about abusing them the way he did. He continued by saying that the likes of 16-time World Champion John Cena and Batista were likely using steroids throughout their careers as well. Check out Graham’s full post below:

So, let me address a few concerns some fans have about my advice to have Kofi bulk up a bit by using some steroids. A fan brought up Chris Masters; well add Bobby Lashley to that list of guys with muscular bodies that didn’t draw. Why ??? Zero F-ing charisma for both of those names that’s why. With the Big E declaring, ” There will be no comedy tonight ” and Kofi thanking everyone and mentioning his lovely wife and children standing ringside.

The WWE Universe was completely behind Kofi Kingston all the way through his WWE Championship win at WrestleMania this past weekend (Sun. April 7, 2019). Kingston toppled Daniel Bryan to win his first major World Championship in WWE after 11 years with the company. Now, we get to see how Kingston’s first reign as WWE Champion plays out on tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live.
While many fans were behind Kingston during his Road To WrestleMania, he did have a few haters. One of them being WWE Hall Of Famer “Superstar” Billy Graham. Graham voiced his displeasure with Kingston being booked in the main event of WrestleMania a little over a week ago. The Hall Of Famer takes issue with the booking due to Kingston’s size.
However, now that the title victory is official and in the books, Graham took to his official Facebook page to offer his thoughts. Graham actually adviced Kingston to take steroids to add 50 pounds of muscle to his frame. He also suggested that Vince McMahon would be happy with such a move.

“Notice the word ” Heavyweight ” in his Title…so my man, I urge you to start doing some steroids and add about 50 pounds of solid muscle to your championship body. Vince wont care, honestly. Actually he would be quite pleased with the muscular transformation, as I predict that you young man will have the longest run as WWE champ in modern-day history.
“Then in just a short time while you are red hot and the fans are celebrating your win, your 2 former partners in crime, E and Woods get jealous and turn on you. In my day there would be some blood in that double cross on you but God forbid….not now. You then have Daniel Bryan for rematches and your two former partners as opponents.
“The final suggestion, is to get all of my promo material together that you can find in the WWE’s vast library and study my promos. You must be an entertainer as well as a wrestler my man and best of luck with your run !!! S.B.G.”
What do you make of Graham telling Kingston to take steroids?
After Braun Strowman ripped the door off of Vince McMahon’s limo during Raw, The Chairman stripped “The Monster Among Men” of his Universal Championship Match against Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble and made an impromptu Fatal 4-Way Match for later in the night to determine his new challenger. Balor then beat John Cena, Drew McIntyre, and Baron Corbin to earn the Universal Championship Match against Lesnar at the Royal Rumble.
Superstar Billy Graham, a WWE Hall of Famer and one-time WWE Champion, took to Facebook on Tuesday night to criticize WWE for switching Strowman with Balor as Lesnar’s opponent at the Royal Rumble. Graham feels that WWE fans won’t buy Balor as a worthy opponent for Lesnar, pointing out that Balor is considerably smaller.
Graham wrote, “Well fans, just my professional opinion once more, and certainly nothing personal about any of the talent. But as you folks who watched RAW last night ( I didn’t ) know that ” The Monster Among Men ” Braun Strowman has been pulled from the main event against Lesnar. Despite Strowman’s superhuman strength and his ability to over turn paramedic trucks, 18 wheeler 10,000 pound cab trucks, and then overturn Vince’s limo, he can’t quite seem to beat a mere mortal in Brock Lesnar. So, now he has been replaced with less than 2 weeks before this mega PPV by Finn Balor.
“Does anyone in their right mind really believe Finn will have a chance in Hell of beating Lesnar ? I would want my money back immediately. Word is Finn Balor will spend 3 hours getting his spray paint demon gimmick on, to help him beat Lesnar, who it looks like to me out weighs Finn by a good 100 pounds.”
Graham also responded to Dave Meltzer stating on Wrestling Observer Radio that Vince McMahon planned Balor vs. Lesnar all along. With WWE continuing to promote Lesnar vs. Strowman to sell tickets, Graham feels that WWE is double-crossing fans “by putting in a man who will not sell one ticket to see this match.”
Graham continued, “Ah, but the following news by Meltzer is very telling. Meltzer is reporting that this was the plan all along to sell tickets. Knowing that fans would not buy Finn Balor against Lesnar. So that is where the WWE is with their talent. They have to work a gimmick that is a new one for me by advertising a wrestler the fans think had a chance to beat Lesnar to sell tickets, then pull the rug right out from underneath the fans, double crossing them by putting in a man who will not sell one ticket to see this match. Also waiting as long as they could.”
Graham closed his post by writing, “Damn, the WWE sucks when it comes to talent. I bet that Cody Rhodes and his crew will out draw WWE head to head every time. Truly, a colossal scam by the WWE, man do they ever suck. S.B.G.”
While Ronda Rousey’s WWE in-ring debut was fairly well received by the professional wrestling community, it looks like one WWE Hall Of Famer isn’t a fan of The Rowdy One venturing off into the professional wrestling world.
Superstar Billy Graham took to his official Facebook page and went on an absolute rant regarding Rousey’s WWE career, referring to her as Ronda “Lousy” several times. For starters, Graham takes exception to Rousey playing off of Roddy Piper’s gimmick.
He also did not like the rumors flying around before her WrestleMania 34 match suggesting she could win by making Triple H tap out. Here’s Graham’s full rant:

“First off to the fan who wrote.. ‘ I find Ronda’s use of Piper’s gimmick nauseating ‘ You my brother are dead on my man !!! This shows you how shallow she is and by the way, I am a fan of females being in the main event.
“That is why I put up this photo of Amanda Nunes kicking her ass in 48 seconds. She looked pitiful, a TKO in 48 seconds on Dec. 30th, 2016 by Nunes, a real fighter and Rousey just a jobber. Speaking of jobbers, I read today a quote by Meltzer that shook me to the core, it goes as follows, ‘ There was a rumor going around by WWE officials prior to mania 34 that Rousey was going to make HHH tap out to her armbar finisher ( instead of Stephanie McMahon ) and it appears the company went in the latter direction specifically due to storyline continuity reasons; as Rousey attacked Stephanie’s arm the next night on Raw whereas HHH is not a regular on-screen character and has disappeared for now. ‘
“WHAT ??? Miss Lousy was going to make H tap out ??? This would have been received as well as a cement truck full of pig sh*t being dumped on the mania 34 fans. God folks, what is the WWE thinking ??? RR is not a god of some kind but a mere female x UFC failure that got her flat ass kicked twice on the way out. Now this is nauseating.

– While Shane McMahon is particularly liked by many of his fans for his risk-taking abilities and all the crazy spots he pulls off in his matches, it appears not everybody is pleased with this.
WWE Hall Of Famer “Superstar” Billy Graham recently made a post from his Facebook acount about McMahon. In the post as seen below, he ripped off Shane for jumping from the cell during his match against Kevin Owens for a ‘cheap pop’:

Disgusting and I have no sympathy for this spoiled brat and maybe he wont try to defy gravity ever again for a worthless, meaningless, and dumb as Hell cheap pop.”

WWE Legend Superstar Billy Graham took to Facebook this week and ripped WWE for the segment with Bayley, The Club and Golden Truth on Monday’s RAW, which saw Karl Anderson rip the head off a Dusty Rhodes stuffed bear. Cody Rhodes also was not happy with the segment as he tweeted his thoughts right after it aired.
Graham called the producer of the segment a “total piece of shit” and said whoever it is should be fired. Graham wrote:
COMEDY AND DEATH
Last Monday night, December 26th, I took a break from painting and watched a little TV. RAW came up so I stopped to see what was happening. The backstage segment with Goldust, R-Truth, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson and Bayley had just started. Bayley, with all of the working emotion she could pull up was giving Goldust a Dusty Rhodes-themed stuffed animal. Telling Goldust how much she LOVED Dusty. The American Dream’s son Goldust, tried to get a few sniffles going while clutching the stuffed doll. Gallows and Anderson burst into the scene and one of them grabs the doll. I honestly don’t know who is Anderson and who is Gallows, that is how impressed I am with them, nothing personal, I am just not impressed enough with them to know who is who. One of them then proceeds to rip the head off the Dusty Rhodes stuffed doll and they both start laughing and walk off the set. Very funny to be making a joke off a dead WWE icon, The American Dream, who had more charisma than the entire WWE roster put together.
Cody Rhodes tweeted that “He was not gonna say something mean or blow a whistle” about this segment. He wont, but I will. It made me totally nauseated and was the ultimate in disrespect to the man, not only to one of the greatest performers ever in the business of pro wrestling. I also think that the writer who came up with this disrespectful segment is a total piece of shit and should be fired for getting away with having the WWE air this disgusting segment. How low will the WWE continue to go is the question? I personally don’t want to see.
Superstar Billy Graham was scheduled to appear during the WrestleMania 32 weekend festivities in Arlington, TX, but has been forced to pull out of his commitments. In a post on his official Facebook page, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed he’s been forced to cancel due to a medical issue he described as being a “life or death” matter.
Graham published the email he sent to Triple H informing him the news, and said he received an open invitation to next year’s WrestleMania 33 in Orlando. Here’s his email to HHH in it’s entirety:
Triple H, I will keep this email as brief and direct as I can. I have a potential life and death problem. One week ago I was in the gym training. I was doing some simple free squats on a bench and I broke in half a bone graft that is some 10 years old. The bone started migrating upward and is trying to exit my thigh next to my left hip joint, extremely painful as you can imagine. I immediately drove myself to the wold famous Mayo Clinic Hospital here in Phoenix where I had my liver transplant on October 18th, 2002.
I saw the top Orthopedic surgeon at the Mayo, Dr. Mark Spangehl who is a hip replacement specialist. He x-rayed my left hip and saw that the broken bone had moved upward about 4 inches from its original placement. He also saw on the x-ray that the cup that holds the head of the femur has begun to rotate and I am at risk of a dislocation. I have attached a photo of an x-ray of a total left hip replacement similar to mine for your reference, only my hip replacement is much more complicated than the one attached. This is the hip replacement surgery that Vince had video taped back in 1986 and put it on the WWF programing.
The reason this is a potential life or death surgery that I must have is because I am a diabetic. I have high blood sugar and am taking medication to control it but my numbers are still way to high . Dr. Spangehl told me with the high numbers of my diabetes I am at risk of infection. He said if I get an infection after this upcoming surgery he will have to go in and cut the infection out. If I am still infected he will have to go back in and cut more infected muscle out. The 3rd time he said to save my life he would have to amputate my left leg at the hip.
I am on crutches and the doctor will not let me travel. So I am obviously going to miss this years Wrestlemania. I am very sorry about this of course, especially because of the fan axxess event and all of my fans who will not get the chance to meet me now. If there is anything I can do like sign autographs here and then send them back to the WWE office for the axxess fans who have bought tickets I would be more than happy to do that. I just feel horrible about this but there is nothing I can do. With great respect, Superstar.

WWE Hall of Famer “Superstar” Billy Graham has been posting a lot about current WWE as of late on his Facebook page. One topic that came up was who should face The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32. He and most of his followers who commented were in agreement that Kevin Owens was the best choice of who is available right now. Howevr, one fan made a bit of a miscue, which seemingly angered Graham to the point that he posted a screed defending Owens:

Hey fans, I got an interesting response to my post about me liking to see KO against Taker at mania 32. Daniel Thoma wrote and I will paraphrase here “I am surprised Superstar that you like Owens, as the guy has no build and not sure what people see in him.” Well Daniel, you need to do your homework on me before you make statements that you know what I like and don’t like. Actually you know nothing about me at all do you? I have wrestled a ton of guys in my career that have no build. Please check out the shot below of Dusty and I working in MSG. Did Dusty have a build? Far from it and actually he was quite obese at times. I have wrestled Chief Jay Strongbow for my WWWF belt, did he have a “build”? I have also worked with Wahoo McDaniel in the AWA and did record setting business. Did Wahoo have a build? He had never set foot in a gym. I am not the only one that likes KO. I remember talking in a phone conversation with Triple H about KO just after I signed my Legends Contract back in October of 2015 and he told me and I quote “Oh yes Superstar, we love Kevin Owens and have big plans for him. We think he will be the future heel for our company.” So don’t be surprised about me liking KO because you sir know nothing about me, nothing at all.
WWE Hall Of Famer “Superstar” Billy Graham recently posted a lengthy blog on his official Facebook page to address the recent push of Roman Reigns to WWE World Heavyweight Champion and the guy carrying the company on top.
Ahead of tonight’s RAW main event for the WWE Title between Reigns and Sheamus, with Vince McMahon serving as the special guest referee, “Superstar” Billy Graham explains how that could be the perfect set up for his own fantasy booking idea heading into WrestleMania 32 in April.
Graham also explains why WWE should turn Reigns heel and give him a mouthpiece to cut promos for him from now on. The WWE Hall Of Famer posted the following Facebook on Sunday.

Actually, script writers are not a bad thing to have for 99% of the WWE roster, the Rock being the exception. Even the the Rock is handed a script for his movies and told, “hey, here is your script, now get it memorized and lets make this movie.” I mean, do you think Arnold came up with that famous line “I’ll be back” ? No, plus Arnold is a horrible actor to this very day. Jesse Ventura was far better than Arnold when he was in his movies especially with that great line “I ain’t got time to bleed”. Jesse didn’t come up with that line, a script writer did. These writers of today would have spelled death to me because I, along with Dusty, were able to come up with our own lines and we could think for ourselves. The success of reading a script is all in the ability to deliver that line. Cena proves that. After all wrestlers are like Broadway actors, who are handed a script. As a Dylan lyric goes, “You’re just an actor in a plot and that’s all that you got.” It’s all in the delivery folks.
With no interest by the WWE to have me or anyone else help Roman Reigns with his verbal skills, I suggest after his matches with Triple H they turn him heel and find a mouthpiece for him. What I would like to see happen is after their first match, go for a return match in a cage with Shawn Michaels as the special ref at mania 32 in Dallas. They need some more star power for this coming mania other than the Rock cutting another promo. With Vince as the ref for tomorrow nights RAW in the Reigns vs Sheamus match, ratings will go up, then back down the next week without Vince on TV. This RAW match tomorrow night with Vince is a perfect spot to get Triple H involved. Anyone out there have a better idea?

On if WWE is trying to hurt ROH by putting NXT special on same day as ROH’s special: “No, I don’t. It’s also the same time as my show at the Gramercy Theatre. It’s just business.”
On if they are trying to hurt JR’s one-man show, which is also the same day as the NXT Brooklyn special: “It’s just business and NXT having a prime time show on Saturday Aug 22 was expected. We can always go earlier in the day if the promoter feels we need to do so. That will be addressed this week.”
On if WWE should hire Superstar Billy Graham for Dusty Rhodes’ old job in NXT: “I always pull for Billy but I don’t know the status of his health which would be an issue. Billy was one of the great talkers of all time without question.”
On if it’s more important to improve in the ring or on the mic: “Hardest skills to master are on the mic.”
On advice he would give anyone trying to get into broadcasting: “Get practical experience in any form of broadcasting and production that you can. Go to college and graduate with the proper broadcasting degree and continue to gain experience in any field that’s available and build a good reel of your work. Then get experience in fields other than wrestling before you attempt to enter that world.”
On his rumored issues with Big Show: “He’s mistaken as it relates to me never thinking much of him because I did. As a matter of fact I thought, and still do, a great deal of Show. We were concerned about his weight and how he was going to withstand the WWE schedule and wanted to protect his health and our investment. Vince McMahon and I decided to sent him to OVW was the right thing to do. Ironically, show and I have never had a conversation on this matter in all the years that I’ve known him but perhaps it makes for good content on a podcast. The “he wasn’t one of my guys” line is also inaccurate.”

WWE Hall Of Famer “Superstar” Billy Graham has been hospitalized again. Graham’s wife Valerie wrote the following on Facebook about his condition:
“This is a message from Superstar’s wife Valerie. Billy has been admitted to the Mayo Clinic from complications from his previous medical conditions. Not much specific information is known at this time, but this post will be updated soon. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.”
– Mexican wrestling legend Konnan noted on Twitter recently that the El Rey Network is looking to see if they can have Alberto Del Rio (aka El Patron) appear at the AAA Lucha Underground taping in Los Angeles in September and October.

WWE Hall Of Famer “Superstar” Billy Graham recently took some vicious shots at fellow Hall Of Famer Abdullah The Butcher in a recent post on Facebook.
Graham wrote the following, noting that doctors recently informed him that he only had two years left to live due to complications from Hepatitis C.
“The fucking worthless sub-human piece of shit Abdullah. He never bladed me but as you know gave Hannibal Hep C which almost killed him and is going to kill me. The liver docs have recently told me I have about 2 years left then my liver fails and I take my final bump. So fuck Abdullah and I hope he dies a miserable death.”
WWE Hall Of Famer Superstar Billy Graham posted the follownig message on his official Facebook page. In the message, he predicts that CM Punk will make his WWE return at SummerSlam this year.
“Hi fans, I thought you might enjoy seeing this shot from 1977 with the pink cap on and the belt over my shoulder. The question I have for all of you good fans out there is this, when do you think we will see the return of C M Punk and why ? I say he will once again be in a WWE ring at this coming SummerSlam 2014. Why ? Because its a perfect PPV event and tons of time has past since he left and he doesn’t want us to forget about him does he ? The man does bring a lot of talent to the table. Superstar”

– WWE.com posted the following storyline-driven injury update for Kofi Kingston:
“Today, WWE.com caught up with Dr. Chris Amann about the condition of Kofi Kingston after the Superstar underwent elbow surgery.”
“Kofi underwent left elbow arthroscopy last week with Dr. Dugas in Birmingham, Alabama,” said Amann. At that time, he was found to have two large bone chips about the size of a marble in his elbow joint. Those were removed. He’s in a sling. He’s starting physical therapy and doing very well.”
WWE Hall of Famer “Superstar” Billy Graham announced via Facebook today that he has been released from the hospital and is heading home:
“I want to thank all of mine Facebook fans for their thoughts and prayers for my recovery. I am working my way back to Phoenix where I will immediately report to the Mayo Clinic Hospital for follow up with my liver transplant team. By God’s grace I shall continue to overcome. As always thank you my Facebook fans…no looking back! Superstar”
– Superstar Billy Graham’s agent Scott O Epstein has released the following statement regarding his health:
“In case you are not aware of the post Wrestlecon/Mania trip Billy went on a well deserved “vacation” with his lovely wife of forever Valerie in her new car, as Billy had never seen the Grand Tetons and this was part of his bucket list with a painting of them at a later date. They traveled approximately 1000 miles from home, are on the Utah/Wyoming border and Billy gets sick in multiple ways…..first possible blockage in colon, ER admitted him as the liver plays tricky stuff with your body. Upon having a bout of Reflux syndrome, it went back down not the esophogas but into the lungs causing pneumonia. This is particularly dangerous because acid reflux going into lungs way different than water ..it has much bacteria ……..next discovery is that Billy is bleeding internally and they have to find out from where. He is not feeling very well nor doing very well and Valerie is naturally very stressed. I may go there to help her if the air fares come down from outrageous prices.
This is not a very good scenario and far more crucial than the bout her had recently before WM and the ones he gets every so often due to the compromised immune system. Asking all fans, friends, colleagues to seriously pray. I know he is strong as an ox but this time I am actually frightened.

Billy Graham’s Recent Comments About Him:
I think I feel sorry for him. I think he’s done so much drugs throughout his career that his brains been burned out because he speaks of things he knows nothing about. For example in my own situation, he knows very well that when I spoke about WWE and was very critical about them, that he had heard me say if they changed everything that I would change my mind. He heard me from years ago saying yes I would. He’s been critical of the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in Amsterdam, New York and he wanted out of that because he got mad at somebody, I don’t know who. He recently was appalled at CM Punk because he said something about me wrestling in the Garden once a month. The things that Billy Graham says, I really have no idea why he says them. He talks about things without really knowing all the facts. I just think there’s something wrong with the man.
His thoughts on John Cena:
He looks very well, looks like he works out very hard. He moves well in the ring and I have only seen him maybe twice all together. I have not seen enough of him, but from what I’ve seen you can tell he absolutely is one of the top ones in the organization but sometimes I would like to see these guys wrestle a 30-40 minute match. i can get a better idea of how good they are, when they have to put in that kind of time, tells me wheat kind of condition they have and how their skills would be out there for that amount of time. I haven’t seen any long matches like that yet. One of the times I saw him in a cage match and there was a referee and they were doing wrestling holds. In my day, you would have a cage match as maybe the third match with a guy and there would be no referee, and just everything goes and the fans used to find that extremely exciting. Now it’s so changed, thes guys are doing regular armlocks and headlocks. It’s so different now, I just can’t compare it to the era I was involved in.
What he thinks of CM Punk as a performer:
I think his interviews for a villain…I think he’s very, very good. That’s why it surprised me that Billy Graham would say anything when he used to be a villain who would say things to put down his opponents, even myself. I think he does a very good job when he gets on the microphone, how he talks, how he says it. I took no offence at CM Punk, I know he was doing it to be a villain, that’s what he does. But I think he does a very good job when he gets on that microphone as a villain, what he says, how he talks, how he says it. As a villain I think he does a tremendous job and as a wrestler, I’ve seen him a few times and I think he’s pretty darn good. He’s not too bad at all. The only thing is I think if he was in my era, he would be a little bit too small, we had bigger built guys back then.
