Damien Darling Talks Issues With Tammy Sytch, Sexual/Physical Abuse Claims & More

Independent pro wrestling star Damien Darling recently spoke to the folks at #Asked about his past relationship with WWE Hall Of Famer Tammy “Sunny” Sytch. Darling addressed claims by Sytch of physical and sexual abuse, along with many other controversial topics. Below are highlights from the interview:

On her unhappiness and the front she put on for the public: “Just because you go on Facebook, or you go on Twitter and you pretend like you’re so successful and happy, and you’re a Hall of Famer or whatever, that’s not reality. No disrespect to a WWE Hall of Fame ring, but a WWE Hall of Fame ring and a dollar will get you a bag of Doritos at a deli.

“She went to three different rehabs in our relationship. The first time she went to rehab for 30 days … She came out of that rehab and had so much medication, which was over-prescribed for her. Before you know it, you’re filming a show or you’re filming a shoot interview and you’re f**king three pills deep, and you’re not yourself.”

On why their relationship didn’t work out: “I think maybe Tammy thought that she’d have some boyfriend that she could move in with, that would come home from work, and she’d be f**cking passed out drunk. That would wash her, and clean her up, and because she was who she was, would just manage to pull through. That’s not me … One day I came home and she was passed out, and there was an empty bottle of vodka on the floor. The first thing I did was pick up the phone and call WWE, and get one of the representatives that handle their rehab facility on the phone.

“They would have sent a cab right over, would have picked her up and took her right to rehab. WWE rehab is amazing. They will absolutely send a cab to your house, pick you up and find you the best rehab facility in the country.”

On being accused of sexual abusing Sytch: “It was reported in the newspaper by her attorney, who made statements that she had broken ribs. When I first read that on a Monday morning – like the entire world did – the first thing I did was I went to the police department … They pulled me aside and said ‘listen, she was arrested on Friday, she was fine. She was here in custody on Saturday; she was fine. She saw her lawyer on Sunday, and a half hour later, they filled a criminal complaint against you for assault, and for sexual assault … they had her x-rayed, and she had no injuries, and absolutely no signs of any sort of sexual assault. So I was never, ever charged or investigated for anything. Her accusations of me breaking her ribs are just what they are.”

On some of the alleged lies she has told the media: “When she was released from prison – a normal person would maybe call your mom, or your family or your friends – the first thing Tammy did when she was released from prison was call TMZ. She called TMZ and said that she was writing an autobiography and that she was cured of cancer … She accused me of giving her an STD, that was HPV, that turned into cervical cancer. HPV is an STD that could turn into cervical cancer. Only it takes seven to eight years for HVP to actually turn into cervical cancer. So that means that, eight years ago, when I was a freshman in high school – I was not the guy that was banging Tammy Sytch.”

On the final straw in their relationship: “She was arrested six times It really wasn’t until the last, final time that she was arrested in my apartment … I came home, the same thing happened again, only this time it was so f**king violent, and so dangerous … When you have a drunk woman attacking you with bottles, and knives and hammers and whatever else, there’s not a whole lot that you can do. The last time we were together, it was very very dangerous. There was a moment – I’ll be honest, I fell on my ass and broke down and cried. There was a moment where I just had a vision in my mind of newspaper articles of one of us being dead, because it was getting that bad. Like Chris Benoit and Nancy; something crazy. It was dangerous, and I had never been in a relationship like that before.”

Tammy Sytch Goes On Tirade Against Ex-Boyfriend On Twitter, Comments On Jail Time

Tammy Sytch recently posted a series of tweets updating fans on the drama surrounding her personal life as of late.

In response to a fan mocking Sytch for her legal situation and the drama stemming from her relationship to independent pro wrestler Damien Darling, Sytch wrote, “[I’m] not ashamed to have gone to jail. when you beat the ass of the fiancee who cheats, you earn the ass kicking. I did my time…not ashamed in the least bit. It was a great learning experience and I am grateful for going through it. I learned about life, and had the time to pen my book, will be huge!”

Sytch continued to respond to fans. This time, Sytch talked about her case, where she was arrested multiple times for violating an order of protection against Darling. Sytch wrote, “The judge was on my side. thats why I wasn’t convicted or sentenced. I was there awaiting trial..and when the judge saw it my way, I was released. No parole, no probation, because she knew I wasn’t wrong. Maybe you should learn your facts before you talk about them. Court continuances and attorney changes are the only reasons I was there for 4 months. This was the same judge that [Darling] begged to have the protective order lifted in front of just 20 short days before my arrest that put me in jail. She knew he was full of sh** with the call on the PFA. Go to law school, do some research, then talk to me…until then…buh bye.”

After the fan kept at it, pointing out how many times Sytch had been arrested in recent months, Sytch replied by saying, “Read the book dear. I know you will. enjoy..ill sign you a copy :) and yes it was 6 times, love it. Read the book. Get the facts. Who calls the cops over an argument 20 days after proposing marriage? Not normal, stable people. Only the kind that I dealt with can you say “bi-polar”? an adult who cant have an adult argument is a straight up pu**y, when they have to get the cops involved,. Its fine tho, it really is. Karma is a mother f**king bitch. buh bye now.”

At this point, Darling was brought into the mix. Darling wrote, “Mental illness isn’t anyone’s fault, treatment however should be sort for, that is your responsibility. Get well.”

Darling then directed a comment towards Sytch herself, disagreeing with her side of the story. Darling wrote, “Her account of what happened is sooo inaccurate and out there, I’m actually worried about her….not worried worried, but like damn girl pull it together.”

It wasn’t over yet. Sytch responded to Darling’s comment, making accusations about supposed drug use and remarks about Darling’s current girlfriend. Darling responded to that by saying, “Enough! Not every relationship has to end in wars like your relationships Tammy.”

Next up was Sytch posting alleged text messages that supposedly proved Darling was still trying to be a part of Sytch’s life. This led to Sytch and Darling’s current girlfriend arguing back and forth. Sytch concluded by saying to Darling’s current girlfriend, “I’m done. I dont fight with words. Show up at one of my shows, then we’ll discuss it.”

Darling posted one final comment as well, in response to fans who were knocking Sytch on the social media platform. Darling concluded by saying, “You’re not going to get any hateful comments from me, I really wish Tammy well. Shes not right.”

Tammy Sytch Explains Why She Never Liked Sable

WWE Hall of Famer Sunny recently spoke to Hater Nation and explained why she and former WWE Diva Sable (Rena Lesnar) never got along:

“Basically with her, a lot of people think I had a professional jealously, or that’s what the heat was about, but that completely was not the case. She had her character and her role. I had my character and my role. They were completely different. I was like the all American girl next door that you wanted to bring home to mom and marry. She was like that racy, risqué kind of a girl that you wanted to bring to a hotel room for an hour and leave her on the curb.

“We had completely different personalities, completely different characters. There was no professional jealousy at all. What it came down to is in all honesty, she’s really not a good person and that’s why I didn’t like her. She didn’t have any fans in the locker room and stuff because of her husband at the time, poor Marc. She said something in the girl’s locker room once that struck a really, really bad chord with me and Terri Runnels and from that day on, nobody had respect for her.

“Basically it was this. She used to bring her eight year old daughter Mariah on the road. I knew that Marc Mero wasn’t Mariah’s dad. So I asked her one day in the locker room in front of Terri Runnels, where’s her real dad? She said oh, you know. He died when she was an infant. He was in a car accident. I said oh my God, I’m so sorry to hear that. This was her reply and this is why I lost all respect for her. She says no, it was the best thing that ever happened to me, because if he never would have died, I never would have met Marc.

“So she said that about her husband and her baby’s father. That the best that ever happened to her was him dying so she would be able to meet Marc. And right then and there I lost all respect for the woman. I mean, that’s just the most selfish, cruel, horrible, inhumane thing to say. You should never be happy that someone that’s that important in your life died. It was just horrible.

“Terri and I looked at each other like did she just say what we think she just said? And from that day on, that’s where she kind of buried herself with her personality and in the locker room with everyone because words got spread around and nobody had respect for her.

Tammy Sytch Says She’s Not Doing Prostitution, Watch The Wyatt Family Entrance Video, More

– WWE Hall of Famer Tammy “Sunny” Sytch generated another stir this past week by announcing she will be posing with fans in a bed for photo-ops at a wrestling convention in October. She stated on Facebook, “Your choice: for $50 you get to have your photo taken laying next to me in bed, and for $75 you can have your photo taken ‘spooning’ or with me lying my head on your chest! Was I your TEENAGE CRUSH?? Now is your chance to make that dream a REALITY!!!”

News of her idea garnered a lot of negative feedback from online commentators, with some comparing it to prostitution. She responded to the naysayers in a subsequent post on Facebook.

Was I your TEENAGE CRUSH?? Now is your chance to make that dream a REALITY!!!”

News of her idea garnered a lot of negative feedback from online commentators, with some comparing it to prostitution. She responded to the naysayers in a subsequent post on Facebook.

“I just love how some people are comparing the Photo Op at LOTR to prostitution… Im NOT HAVING SEX WITH YOU, YOU IDIOTS!!” she wrote. “We are simply smiling for a photo. When every TNA Knockout and former Diva offers the same Photo Op at conventions over the next year, will you say the same thing? NO. But because I am the Original, once again, I get scrutinized. Just face it…its brilliant. Just like I was the first one to do a Bikini Photo Op in Charlotte a couple years ago….then EVERYONE jumped into their bikinis. If you dont like it, dont buy it. Its that simple…but GET OVER IT!”

She continued, “Seriously, what would be the difference if it was on a couch? at a dinner table? Poolside? You know when you go to an amusement park, and you can get your picture taken dressed up in Wild West wear, youre not really zoomed back to the year 1785!! ITS THE ILLUSION OF A PHOTO!!!!

“I got into this business when every girl out there thought it was “corny” or “gay”…now there are thousands of girls BEGGING for a chance to do what I have done…. Same thing goes with my photo op ideas…. everyone will bash it, but then 30 other girls will do it on a convention after me…. sheesh. Get original! oh wait, thats what I do.”

In a follow-up post today, Sytch dubbed herself “the Queen of Controversy,” and added, “I wonder what I can conjour up next.”

Tammy Sytch Weighs In On Today’s Diva Competition, WWE Counts Down The Top Catfights In History

– Tammy “Sunny” Sytch, who was recently released from a Connecticut prison after serving a four-month sentence for repeatedly violating terms of a restraining order filed by her former boyfriend, touted her trailblazing ways in a Facebook post this week.

With so many females vying for roles as “Divas” in WWE these days, the self-proclaimed “Original Diva” says she’s pleased to have redefined the role of women in the sports-entertainment organization.

“I find it fascinating that so many women now strive to be a WWE diva,” Sytch wrote. “Im so happy I helped make that occupation a glamourous one, back in the prehistoric days of not-so-glamourous lady wrestlers.”

In the past, the WWE Hall of Famer has labeled the women who came before her as “one dimensional.” She once told WWE.com, “Then I came along and anything they threw at me I could do. I could get in the ring and have a match, I managed at ringside, I co-hosted TV shows, I did broadcasting, I did the modeling. I was the first one.”

She added, “My definition of a Diva is that all-around, well-rounded performer.”

– The official YouTube account of WWE has released a video counting down the top catfights in WWE history. This countdown includes such brawls as Stacy Keibler and Torrie Wilson duking it out at the 2003 Backlash, Beth Phoenix laying Melina to waste on Raw in 2008, “Sensational” Sherri and Luna Vachon going at in an early Raw episode, and Stephanie McMahon and Sable engaging in a food fight.

– Former WWE wrestler Big Bully Busick turns 59-years-old on Saturday.

Tammy “Sunny” Sytch Speaks Out Following Release From Prison & Cancer Scare

As reported this week, Tammy Sytch, famously known as Sunny, was released from a Connecticut prison after serving a four-month sentence for repeatedly violating terms of a restraining order filed by her former boyfriend. While in jail, it was determined that Sytch had developed cervical cancer.

Sytch contracted HPV before entering prison and discovered during her sentence that it had developed into cervical cancer. However, she is now cancer-free after undergoing a hysterectomy at a hospital a few weeks ago.

Addressing the traumatic events via Facebook, she stated, “I’m free. Free from prison. Free from cancer. Free from my nightmare. I thank God for the lessons he has taught me and the blessings bestowed upon me. I have only good things ahead in my life.”

Sytch, who plans to make a fresh start in New Mexico, says she also used her time in prison to write an autobiography.

“OK , time to go type up my book…. there are 480 handwritten pages to work on! talk to you all through out the night!” she wrote on the social networking website, while adding that it will be “one hell of a read.”

Sunny Apologizes To WWE, Update On El Generico’s NXT Gimmick

– Following WWE’s recent statement that they will no longer be paying to send Tammy “Sunny” Sytch to rehab, the former Diva wrote the company an apology letter. She took responsibility for the negative comments she made about WWE during a recent interview, but said that her comments were made out of anger and frustration and when she was not taking her prescribed medication. She said instead of accepting her own shortcomings, she projected her anger onto WWE.

She also admitted that the real reason WWE switched her to a different treatment facility was because the first facility recommended the move. The second facility was very different and as comfortable, which made her very angry.

– As previously reported, El Generico made his WWE NXT debut at a recent live event and appeared in his signature lucha libre mask, cape and ring gear. While many fans were relieved to see that it appeared WWE had not altered his beloved gimmick, it’s unlikely that he’ll get to use the El Generico name in WWE. WWE likes to own the names of their characters and typically does not allow wrestlers to bring their established names to the company unless they’re willing to sign over those rights.

Tammy Sytch Called “An Uncontrollable, Violent Demon” By Former Boyfriend Following Latest Arrests

Former WWE performer Tamara Sytch, famously known as Sunny, is due to appear in court on Oct. 30 after being arrested for the fifth time in one month Tuesday and her second time in less than 24-hours, for allegedly violating a protective order stemming from an original September arrest. WFSB Channel 3 in Connecticut aired a news story on the matter Wednesday night, with comments from the victim.

The WWE Hall of Famer was arrested Monday night after police were called to her former Branford, Conn. home where she was found intoxicated. Law enforcement said her being inside the home violates protective orders issued by the court for previous domestic violence arrests.

After being released from jail on $25,000 bond Tuesday following her fourth arrest, a bail bondsman dropped Sytch off down the street from her ex-boyfriend’s home at approximately 4:00 p.m. A neighbor of the apartment complex noticed Sytch on the property again and she was subsequently arrested by police.

WFSB Channel 3 asked the bail bondsman for comment on the matter, but would not respond.

One neighbor who did not want to be identified discussed the matter to the news station. “She’s a really nice person,” the neighbor said. “She needs help and obviously she needs more help now because she loves the wrong guy.”

The victim, Damien Selvaggio, known on the independent wrestling circuit as Damien Darling, told WFSB Channel 3 that the only person who can help Sytch is herself.

“When Tamara is sober she is an amazing person, but when she drinks, she is an uncontrollable, violent Demon,” he said in a statement.

Additional Details On Tammy Sytch’s Latest Arrest For Violating Protective Orders

As reported Wednesday, former WWE performer Tamara Sytch (a/k/a Sunny) is being held on $100,000 cash bond after being arrested in Branford, Connecticut on Tuesday. It was her second arrest in two days and her fifth in the last month. Courtesy of NBC Miami and New Haven Register, more details have emerged regarding the wrestling starlet’s latest arrest.

Following her fourth arrest Monday, a protective order was set against Sytch that prevents her from assaulting, threatening, abusing, harassing, following, interfering with or stalking her ex-boyfriend. She was also ordered to stay away from his home, not contact him and not come within 100 yards of him.

After being released from jail on $25,000 bond Tuesday following her fourth arrest, a bail bondsman dropped Sytch off down the street from her ex-boyfriend’s home at approximately 4:00 p.m. According to police, she went to the home—violating the protective order—climbed the balcony and entered through an unlocked door.

At the police department, Sytch told law enforcement that she was at the home to gather her belongings—clothes and a cell phone. She knew her ex-boyfriend would not be home then, so she believed she was not in violation of the restraining order requiring her to stay 100 yards away from him by going to the unoccupied residence. She was caught after a neighbor spotted her at the residence.

As Sytch was being arraigned Wednesday, Public Defender certified intern Edward Murphy spoke on her behalf. He said she went back to the home because didn’t have a cell phone and didn’t know how to get to Branford police for an escort.

WWE spokesman Kevin Hennessy issued a statement saying they will continue to offer Sytch rehabilitation assistance. “Unfortunately, Ms. Sytch continues to make poor personal choices. WWE will continue to provide assistance should she want to take advantage of it,” the statement read.

Details on her arrests are available here and here.

Former ECW Star Pleads For Tammy Sytch To Receive Help; Details On Her Fourth Arrest

ECW alumnus Axl Rotten is pleading for Tammy Sytch (a/k/a Sunny) to receive help after she was arrested again Tuesday in Branford, Connecticut, on charges of third degree burglary and three counts of violating a protective order.

“Will someone PLEASE step in and help this woman,” Rotten wrote on Facebook. “I love her so much, I consider her a great friend. PLEASE Tammy get help. REAL HELP. Walk away from wrestling and get your life in order. Please do it for you!”
