Former Impact Wrestling Knockouts champion Taylor Wilde will finally be making her return to the company soon according to reports from Fightful Select.
According to the report, this comeback has been planned for well over a year and the female star was originally slated to return ahead of the pandemic last year.
However, coronavirus halted these plans and Wilde could not make a comeback due to the travel restrictions that were put in place to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Taylor Wilde is a former WWE star who was signed by the company in 2006 but she couldn’t get past the development territories. She was released by the company without a main roster appearance in 2007.
She joined the promotion then known as TNA in 2008. She went on to win the Knockouts Championship by defeating Awesome Kong during the July 10 episode of Impact Wrestling in her debut year.
Wilde went on to have a long run with the company. She also became the inaugural Knockouts Tag Team Champion with Sarita in 2009. She later had another run with the tile while teaming up with Hamada.
The former champion was said to be backstage for the latest Impact tapings though it’s unknown if she filmed any material and the exact date for her return is not known yet.
A former WWE backstage producer was recently arrested in Vanderburgh County, Indiana. According to a report from PW Insider, Sarah Stock was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with aggravated battery, public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and resisting law enforcement.
She was booked and released early Sunday morning by the Vandenburgh Sheriff’s Department.
Stock had been with WWE since 2015 but was furloughed this spring and later released due to the ongoing global pandemic. She wrestled as Sarita in TNA Wrestling from 2009 to 2013. She has also competed for companies such as Shimmer as well as CMLL in Mexico. Stock had previously wrestled under the names Dark Angel and Canadian Dark Angel as well.
While in TNA, Stock won the promotion’s women’s tag-team championships twice. She won the inaugural titles in 2009 with Taylor Wilde. They would hold the belts for 106 days before dropping them to Awesome Kong and Hamada.
Stock would team with Zelina Vega in 2011 and again win the belts. This time her team defeated Angelina Love and Winter to gain the championships. They would hold the titles for 129 days until dropping them to Brooke Tessmacher and Tara. Her 2 reigns and 227 combined days spent with 1/2 of the women’s tag belts ranks her 5th all-time in the promotion.

Former TNA Knockouts champion Taylor Wilde has announced her retirement from pro wrestling Her final match will take place against Alissa Flash on 2/5 for Pro Wrestling Revolution in San Francisco, CA.
In an interview with the UK Sun, Wilde revealed that she has not met her own personal goals in the wrestling business and feels it is time to move on.
“I had a couple of months left on my contract, but I made a decision pretty much when I first started working for a major wrestling company (WWE) that wrestling is a wonderful job, it’s a lot of fun and you get to travel the world. In my early twenties it was very lucrative, but I told myself that when I was 25, if it was an industry I could see myself doing for the rest of my life I’d keep going, but otherwise it was time to hang up my boots.”
Wilde explained that she does not want to be stuck in the wrestling business forever without finishing her education and having other options to fall back on. She also talked about how there is a lot of pressure on female performers to look a certain way and their “shelf lives” are not as long as their male co-workers.
“As a female wrestler you are marketed to be cute, sexy, have a banging body and be full of life. You’re not so cute when you are 30, 35, 40. And that’s not a shot at older women. But as far as television goes, and what your body can take, our biological clocks are ticking. For most of us women we are marketed on our appearance, and that has a much shorter shelf life than any man in this industry.”
“I have to think about the rest of my life, the state of my body and my bank account.”
Wilde is currently studying psychology and said she’d consider wrestling again if “the right financial offer” came along, but not until after she finishes school.
