Appearances By Shane McMahon Or The Authority Teased For RAW

WWE is teasing possible appearances on RAW by Shane McMahon or The Authority. Shane and Triple H have been added to the European tour, but they were never publicly announced for Monday’s show. Shane is booked for SmackDown and Triple H is booked for several live events.

Here’s what WWE.com has to say about Shane possibly being on RAW:

For two weeks, Shane McMahon has assumed control of Raw, and for two weeks, the show has been astounding, bringing us new Superstars, unexpected returns and even a No. 1 Contenders’ Tag Team Tournament sponsored, naturally, by Booty-O’s.

We haven’t seen The Authority on Monday night’s hottest show since WrestleMania, and Triple H and Stephanie McMahon surely have some strong opinions about Shane-O-Mac’s job performance. Will we see WWE’s Prodigal Son reign once more, or might The Authority put a stop to Shane’s tenure as Raw showrunner?

Triple H hasn’t appeared on WWE TV since WrestleMania 32 on April 3rd.

Update On The Authority’s Future On WWE TV

After WrestleMania 32, Triple H lost his WWE World Heavyweight championship to Roman Reigns in the main event. Thus, depleting the Authority of their resources.

To make matters worse for HHH and Stephanie McMahon, Vince McMahon gave the power to Shane McMahon last night on WWE Raw. Could this spell trouble for the WWE’s hierarchical power? Despite being advertised for WWE Raw appearances after WrestleMania, the Authority’s time on TV is ending.

Reddit user FalconArrow indicates that the Authority’s WWE television presence will end soon.

From what I know they are going bye bye for a while very soon.

Triple H or Stephanie didn’t appear on Raw last night, as they were presumably selling the “injuries” that Reigns gave them in the WrestleMania main event.

With Shane now in charge, at least for the foreseeable future, WWE programming should change slightly. Expect a confrontation between Shane and the Authority in the coming weeks, especially if FalconArrow is correct.

SEScoops Mailbag: Reigns Turning Heel, Has The Authority Run Its Course?

Welcome back to the SEScoops Mailbag. After the questions below, we’ve answered everything sent in so far. If you’ve got a question you want answered here, send an email to SEScoops@gmail.com with “Mailbag” as the subject line. Let’s roll:

Buzzard follower asks … Since survivor series is sort of like deadly games part 2 (1998 ss) what do you think about roman like the rock will turn heel and join the authority the way rock did with the corporation? also what do you think if the finalist are ambrose and roman when/if the heel turn goes down

Brad Davis: Reigns turning heel, joining The Authority and winning the WWE title like The Rock did at Deadly Game is the best possible booking scenario for Survivor Series. Rollins is out for the better part of a year and now The Authority is without a main event guy in their camp. It makes sense to have a heel champion as we close out the year and round the corner into WrestleMania season.

Reigns winning the title as babyface would be anti-climatic and he’s just simply not over enough where a babyface title win could propel him to that “new face of the company” status. They’ve been trying for well over a year to get him over as the new top babyface. The  only chance Reigns has to be “the next John Cena” is to turn him heel and let him come into his own in that role before an eventual babyface turn years down the road.

And yes, Reigns’ big turn should come in the finals against Dean Ambrose. Reigns’ turn wouldn’t have as big of an impact as it would if Dean was the guy he was screwing over. The two have them been buddying around on WWE TV for the past few months and can feud for the next several months until after the Royal Rumble when Reigns’ WrestleMania challenger is lined up.

UltraManTits Black asks … Im of the belief that Asuka has a much better chance of one day being the Divas champ than Hideo does of being WWE champ because the Divas are less focused on promos than the men are and the language barrier will keep Hideo from being in a main event. Do you think its better for a foreign born wrestler to hook up with a manager to do their talking for them, or to just go the Lucha Dragons’ route and stay silent?

A Realist: I am of the belief that knowing the character and the motivation of a character goes a long way in getting talent over. Otherwise, why should I cheer for this guy or girl? Now, not everyone needs to speak, but they certainly need something else to get the audience to stand behind. If you’re not establishing a certain appeal to the voiceless character, such as say, Goldberg’s streak, then they need something else to back them up–and that’s the ‘why are you here?’. Wrestling is not all about wrestling, after all.

Let’s just put it this way: despite his losses, there’s a reason Bray Wyatt is still a main attraction. Why Dean Ambrose is so over. The reason for 2011, the summer of Punk. The current reason why New Day is the hottest act in WWE. They can talk.

And then there’s a reason why people like the Lucha Dragons, and Cesaro are spinning their tires.

So the long-short–yes, I believe mouthpieces are more than beneficial to talents that are unable to speak for themselves.

Mr. Honesty asks … I see this tournament as the perfect opportunity to build some stars. Not necessarily on the main event card, but it might create guys that’ll prove to be upper midcard material. That being said, who do you see as someone that might emerge as a top midcard guy? Any surprising superstars come to mind?

David Bixenspan:  So far, it doesn’t look like anyone is being moved up that much more. Cesaro feels like the guy who could benefit most even on losing, but you know how that goes with him. Ambrose probably could gain some forward momentum with a turn, since WWE badly needs a new top heel more than anything else. Which is to say hopefully he’ll go back to where he would have been if he turned on The Shield instead of Seth Rollins. It looked like he would turn heel en route to being an even bigger babyface down the line, but of course that didn’t happen.

That said, as the bracket sits, it looks like Reigns vs. Ambrose is the natural finals, with one or the other turning. And I’m not sure they have the wherewithal to book the other matches to be beneficial to anyone else.

Sunil asks … 1. Did cm punk really poop in the ring and did the ref really grab it? 2. Why doesn’t wwe use custom sets anymore?

A Realist: 1) Well, he for sure pooped himself–according to him. It was during a Smackdown episode match against Dean Ambrose. He claims that he was on so many antibiotics that he let ‘er rip in his trunks.

As for the ref picking it up, that is widely speculated on, as many believe it was a piece of Ambrose’s Shield gear that he actually moved. I personally have a hard time believing he grabbed it barehanded, considering they have latex gloves in their pockets at all times now, due to accidental bleeding from the wrestlers.

2) I assume by ‘custom sets’, you mean the Pay Per View specific arena sets. If so, two reasons:

One: Money, plain and simple. Those sets weren’t cheap.

Two: They use a giant set for Wrestlemania every year. If every PPV has a custom set, that detracts from the importance of the ‘grandest stage’ that is Wrestlemania.

Undertaker316 asks… Do you think the Authority story line has run its course?

Brad Davis: Assuming that you are asking if The Authority angle is ‘tired and stale,’ the storyline has certainly run its course. As much as Triple H and Stephanie have established their characters on WWE TV as major heels, it’s still the “Evil Authority Figure” angle that worked for a few years during the Monday Night Wars era and has been carbon-copied to death over the past decade by WWE and TNA. WWE needs a complete overhaul and the alarmingly low RAW viewership week after week backs this up. In the event that WWE would shake up the presentation of their product from top the bottom, I don’t see where there is a place for overbearing heel authority figures that soak up all the TV time, place themselves as the focal point of the WWE Universe, belittle and literally slap around the wrestlers.

If you are asking “will WWE be concluding the Authority storyline soon?” – then the answer is obviously not. Triple H and Stephanie will be fixtures on WWE television for years to come. If you want to continue following along week after week, you’ve got two choices – you can sell out or you can buy in.

– Adam Rose responded to a fan on Twitter today who wrote that NXT Superstar Tyler Breeze will become a “jobber” when he moves to WWE’s main roster, and that he will get “the Adam Rose treatment.” Rose replied to the fan, “Not at all, Tyler is gonna be a mega star! Mark my words.” As noted, Breeze is rumored to be joining the main roster imminently.

– WWE shot an angle during the RAW pre-show that saw co-hosts Corey Graves and David Otunga campaign for the job of “Director of Operations.” Prior to RAW, WWE announced that Corporate Kane was suspended this week and that if he loses to Seth Rollins at WWE Hell In A Cell this Sunday, he will be relieved of his job in The Authority permanently. The announcements led to Graves and Otunga campaigning for the spot throughout the pre-show, with both guys referencing it multiple times and airing campaign-style video packages. The fun continued on social media, as you can see via the following tweets.

The Authority Suspends Corporate Kane, Six-Man Tag Match Set For RAW

– WWE announced that “Corporate Kane” has been suspended by The Authority. WWE posted the following just before this week’s edition of RAW:

The Authority suspended Corporate Kane for tonight’s Raw earlier today after a series of closed-door meetings, WWE.com has learned. It is not yet clear, however, whether Corporate Kane’s suspension is directly related to his actions last week.

– Also announced just before RAW goes live tonight is a six-man tag-team match thatg will feature John Cena & The Dudley Boyz vs. The New Day.

What Happened After RAW, WWE Poll About Lesnar-Rollins & The Authority

– After Monday’s WWE RAW went off the air, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Randy Orton and Ryback took on Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt, Sheamus and Big Show in an 8-man tag match.

Wyatt and Reigns fought to the back, turning the match into a six-man. Fans chanted “please retire” at Big Show and he responded on the mic by saying fans can buy out his contract if they want him to retire.

The babyfaces dominated the match and Orton hit Sheamus with an RKO for the win.

– WWE COO Triple H announced on Monday that NXT will be invading the Louder Than Life music festival in Louisville, KY in October.

Talent advertised include Finn Balor, NXT Women’s Champion Sasha Banks, NXT Tag Team Champions Blake and Murphy, Enzo Amore, Big Cass, Becky Lynch, Bayley, Baron Corbin, Tyler Breeze and The Vaudevillians.

– WWE.com is running a poll asking fans if they think The Authority is setting Seth Rollins up to lose the WWE World Heavyweight Title by pitting him against Brock Lesnar at Battleground. With almost 10,000 votes, 80% voted “yes” because Rollins has a bad attitude and needs to be taught a lesson.

Video: Randy Orton Talks To Michael Cole About Attacking Seth Rollins At RAW

“The Viper” Randy Orton is the guest on this week’s sit-down interview at WWE.com with Michael Cole, however this week, the full interview will air on Thursday’s edition of WWE SmackDown.

During the portion of the interview that was released online, Orton spoke about “messing with” The Authority and Seth Rollins on Monday’s RAW.

Orton said it has been difficult being around The Authority over the past few weeks, but that it felt good to get that weight off of his shoulders this past Monday night. He said he enjoyed every second of beating down Rollins at RAW.

Check out the Michael Cole sit-down interview with Randy Orton at the top of this page.

Should Raw Be Cut Back To Two Hours?

As we all know, Raw is tonight. By show of hands, how many people are planning to bail before the end of the program? If this question were posed to last week’s viewing audience, over 250,000 hands would be in the air right now. That number represents the number of viewers who tuned in for the first hour but were long gone by hour three, and that’s not even counting the 600,000 viewers from the previous week who called in sick and didn’t show up at all.

Since Raw 1000, the program has been a three-hour fixture on Monday night, even though the company has done little with the additional hour in most cases. In all, the numbers show that it’s time to turn back the clock to Raw 999 and cut back to two hours.

Emma vs. Summer Rae in a Dance-Off? NO!

Emma vs. Summer Rae in a dance-off? No thanks!

There are a number of reasons this makes sense. Most importantly, this roster is as thin as a two-dollar blanket right now. Take last week’s show, for instance. The company bookended the show with the nearly identical matches – neither of which was particularly memorable. By the end of the first hour, the crowd had already seen every participant in the main event compete in a match (aside from J&J, but they interfered in the Rollins/Ryback match). And please don’t get me started on how many times we’ve seen the Usos battle Miz and Mizdow over the past few months.

It would be a massive understatement to say that the shows have lacked direction in recent months too. I went back and watched a few episodes of Raw from 2012, right before Raw was permanently extended to three hours. Mind you, this was during the dreadful John Cena/Kane “embrace the hate” program, and even those shows featured more direction than the current product.

If the past is any indication, expect to see The Authority opening tonight's episode of Raw.

If the past is any indication, expect to see The Authority opening tonight’s episode of Raw.

By putting less stress on the writers and limiting exposure, they were able to establish a conflict (Kane attempting to terrorize Zack Ryder/John Cena), provide a climax near the middle of the show (Cena kissing Eve while Ryder hilariously looked on), and finally a resolution in the form of a catastrophe (Kane launching Ryder off of the stage).

They were able to build around this central storyline by sprinkling in five matches and a few entertaining segments that highlighted other members of the roster, ultimately creating a neat two hours of wrestling (or sports entertainment, whichever term you prefer). In recent weeks, the program has been an absolute mess, with the typical structure usually as follows:

The Authority starts the program by cutting the same boring 20-minute promo they cut every week and setting up a main event involving Kane and/or Big Show. Next is a match that they say will start after the break, usually trying to invoke some sense of suspense as to which superstars will be involved, but the roster is so thin that we know it will be Seth Rollins or an over-the-hill Authority goon competing against either Dolph Ziggler, Daniel Bryan, Ryback or Roman Reigns – usually ending in a non-finish. We next get a sagging middle with “comedy” matches and backstage segments that rarely go anywhere. Paul Heyman is sent out somewhere near the middle to try to save the crowd. A few more filler matches typically come next, and finally a tag match to end the show, which also usually ends in a non-finish. Eat. Sleep. Lose A Quarter Million Viewers. Repeat.

Even with the help of Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar, Raw lost over a quarter of a million viewers by the end of last week's program.

Even with the help of Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar, Raw lost over a quarter of a million viewers by the end of last week’s program.

The overexposure is killing everyone involved in the process, including talent, announcers, and even the fans, hence the reason they aren’t sticking around for the full three hours. I get that the company is trying to appease shareholders, and increased ad revenue is one of the easiest ways to do so, but in the end, they are doing long-term damage in exchange for short-term ad revenue.

This is also not to say that a wrestling promotion can’t put on an entertaining three-hour program. It is simply stating that this wrestling promotion has proven they are incapable of doing so. There are a lot of problems with the current product, from hotshotting anything that is remotely popular to underutilizing some of the company’s best talent to even dragging out storylines fans are disinterested in. However, the biggest problem with Raw, and perhaps the company as a whole, can be summed up in one word: overexposure.

VIDEO: New Age Outlaws Talk About The Ascension, Cena On “Fired” WWE Stars

Below are this week’s “RAW Fallout” videos. The first video shows The Authority, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, storming out of the arena after Sting showed up and helped John Cena win the main event, which allowed Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan to get their jobs back.

In the second video, the New Age Outlaws talk about The Ascension, who they will meet in the ring at this Sunday’s WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

And finally, here’s the third RAW Fallout video, which features Cena gloating about his friends getting their jobs back.

Pros And Cons: WWE Raw (1/19)

Last night’s Raw was held in Dallas, TX and was the final episode before the Royal Rumble. There were plenty of surprises, and after weeks of terrible programming, perhaps the biggest shocker was that the company put on an episode of Raw that wasn’t half bad. Without further ado, here are this week’s pros and cons.

Pros

There were a few highlights to choose from, but for me, the final segment easily takes the top spot. The action during the contest was commendable, but the real excitement occurred after the match. Sting’s appearance was completely unexpected, especially an in age where nearly everything is spoiled online beforehand. The Stinger looked great (much better than he did at Survivor Series, imo) and held the pose long enough to make everyone wonder if it was a picture to distract the Authority, or whether he was really in attendance.

Fans quickly found out the answer, making a match between Triple H and Sting at WrestleMania all but official. Sting’s appearance, followed by Lesnar’s destruction of everything in sight, was an amazing way to end the show and sell Sunday’s Rumble. Speaking of Lesnar, the crowd is dying to cheer this guy. He could have a monster face run if he decides to stick around after ‘Mania.

A close second goes to the nWo reunion. The Ascension is completely laughable and unconvincing as intimating heels (Hall was straight-up laughing at them throughout the segment). I predict they will be dancing on the WWE comedy circuit within a year. With that said, it was awesome to see JBL finally take out his anger on these fools. It was hard not to mark out at the Clothesline From Hell, and it was pleasant to see actual planning and some sort of payoff for once.

The legends panel was decent, even if it’s the same three guys that are there every time a group of legends rolls into town. However, it was nice to see three Rumble winners talk about their victories, with Shawn Michaels saying, “There would be no Mr. WrestleMania without the Royal Rumble.” It was also humorous to watch Big Show bring up talking points from about two decades prior and refer to anyone as “three washed-up has-beens.”

In terms of wrestling action, the best match of the night, in my opinion, was Dean Ambrose and Bad News Barrett. These two had good chemistry and pulled off a number of impressive spots. In particular, Ambrose’s reversal of Wasteland into Dirty Deeds was an awesome way to end the match. I wouldn’t mind seeing these guys work a program for the IC Title at WrestleMania.

Finally, Sandow posing as X-Pac backstage was absolutely hilarious. This guy deserves bigger and better things. Hopefully the company comes to the same realization before it’s too late.

Legitimate Contenders In This Year’s Royal Rumble

The most exciting sixty-plus minutes of wrestling action is only a few weeks away, where bodies will assuredly be flying over the top rope, Kofi Kingston will likely avoid defeat in dramatic fashion at least once, and one superstar will walk away with a spot in the main event at WrestleMania.

However, although thirty men ostensibly have a chance to headline the biggest event of the year, even the most delusional fan realizes there are only a handful of competitors who are legitimate contenders to walk away victorious. Here are those men.

Odds-On Favorite: Roman Reigns

roman-reigns-vs-brock-lesnar-ses-1

After his record-breaking performance last year, the Powerhouse is easily the favorite to win it all in 2015. Even though there are still questions regarding Reigns’ ability to headline a major pay-per-view such as WrestleMania, it appears the company is ready to pull the trigger on what they apparently believe to be their next big thing.

Assuming the company goes this route, they need to be careful, because the crowd could easily turn on Reigns in a situation similar to last year’s Rumble. If fans think the Pittsburgh crowd was harsh toward Batista last year, try putting Reigns over Bryan in the city whose fans at one point pelted Santa Claus with snowballs. Trust me, it won’t be pretty.

WWE Superstars Who Were “Fired” On Monday React On This Week’s RAW Fallout

As noted, Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan were all “fired” by The Authority on Monday’s edition of WWE RAW. In this week’s RAW Fallout video, which you can watch below, the three “former” WWE Superstars react to their “firing,” all of whom look depressed in the ring shortly after the announcement was made.

Also on this week’s RAW Fallout, Bad News Barrett talks to Renee Young about winning back the WWE Intercontinental Championship. You can check that one out below.

Three Top WWE Superstars “Fired” On First RAW Of 2015

On Monday’s WWE RAW, the first edition of the show of 2015, a “John Cena Appreciation” night, with a sarcastic tone, was promoted throughout the evening by The Authority — Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

As the show went on, it became clear that anyone who was part of Team Cena at the Survivor Series pay-per-view, where The Authority ended up getting fired, was going to be punished and beaten down.

Finally, when the “John Cena Appreciation” main event segment came, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon revealed that Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan, the other members of Team Cena, were all fired.

Seth Rollins Added To Cena vs. Lesnar Royal Rumble Title Match

During this week’s edition of WWE RAW in Corpus Christi, Texas, the first episode of the show in 2015, The Authority made their return and immediately made an impact.

During the beginning of this week’s RAW, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon announce that at the WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view, there will be a change to the main event. The new main event will now be a triple-threat match, with Brock Lesnar defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against John Cena and Seth Rollins.

WWE Royal Rumble 2015 takes place on January 25th at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Spoiler Photo: Big Celebration Planned For Tonight’s RAW?

It looks as though there will be a celebration on tonight’s edition of WWE RAW, the first episode of the show of 2015 and the first official show with the return of The Authority — Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

In the following photo from Twitter, you can see balloons hanging above the ring at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas, the site of tonight’s show.

Backstage News On Sting’s Royal Rumble Status And The Authority’s Return

For those wondering, Sting is not expected to be a surprise entrant in the 2015 WWE Royal Rumble match. As things stand now, the plan is still for Sting to work a match against Triple H at WrestleMania 31. If those plans end up changing, we should hear about it in the near future.

As far as Triple H and The Authority are concerned, apparently the plan was set for some time to bring them back, and the decision to bring them back sooner than originally expected was said to not be a reactionary move to recent declining ratings.

  • The Return Of The Authority: Best For Business?

Where I’m from, local residents occasionally use the phrase “lazy man’s load.” If you’re unfamiliar with the term, it involves straining oneself by carrying multiple bags of groceries from the car in order to save a trip. Based on last night’s episode of Raw, I’m starting to wonder if WWE creative lives in my neighborhood.

As most know by now, the Authority is back in power in the WWE. We all knew they would be back in some shape or form, but most (myself included) did not expect them to be back so soon. So, was bringing the Authority back best for business?

The company appears to be laying the groundwork for a Triple H/Sting match at WrestleMania.

The company appears to be laying the groundwork for a Triple H/Sting match at WrestleMania.

It is hard to deny that Raw has been directionless over the past few weeks. One week we had Daniel Bryan making matches, next fans were subjected to a stupid podium that decided to show up for a week or two, and finally we had Hogan dressed as Santa Claus calling the shots. In short, the shows were all over the place, and for the most part, just plain bad.

That isn’t a knock on the superstars, as they did everything they could to make the shows entertaining. Instead, it’s a knock on creative because they are unable to adapt from their comfort zone. For the past year, nearly every major storyline has focused on the Authority, and it seemed that creative was lost without their tried-and-true conflict creative device.

With that said, I suppose it is necessary to bring the Authority back into power to set up a potential match between Sting and Triple H at WrestleMania. It definitely appears that Sting’s first match in the WWE will be against the Game, so it makes more sense to have Sting deal the final blow to the Authority than to have Triple H request a match to exact revenge even though he’s no longer in power.

    Ranking Every 2014 Pay-Per-View (Part 1/2)

2014 is coming to a close. Aside from two episodes of Raw that most likely be forgettable, fans have seen everything the WWE has to offer this year. Here is a look back at all 16 pay-per-views (including NXT), with each event ranked and summarized.

    16. Battleground

    20140703_Article_Battleground

This event took place during July, and boy was it a hot mess. The opening contest between the Usos and Wyatt Family was money, but it was downhill from there, as fans were subjected to one dud contest after another.

The biggest mistakes involved advertising a Rollins/Ambrose match that didn’t take place, and using the same predictable ending sequence during the main event. Overall, this was completely forgettable and easily the worst pay-per-view of the year.

Worst Match: Chris Jericho vs. Bray Wyatt

Best Match: The Usos vs. The Wyatt Family

    15. TLC

    tlc-2014

The final pay-per-view of the year was certainly not the best the company has to offer. Overall, this event suffered from a thin roster and overcomplicated booking. Like many pay-per-view events, it started off strong before derailing.

Ziggler and Harper stole the show during the opening contest. However, lame gimmicks (Stairs/Chairs Matches) and cheesy endings (Wyatt/Ambrose, Cena/Rollins) really held this event back and prevented it from being a success.

    Worst Match: Ryback vs. Kane

Best Match: Dolph Ziggler vs. Luke Harper

2014 Fourth Quarter Matches of the Year

2014 is quickly coming to an end. With only two weeks left in the year, fans have seen basically everything the WWE has to offer in 2014, for better or worse. In particular, the fourth quarter of 2014 was filled with exciting action, unexpected debuts, and a noticeable lack of WWE World Heavyweight Championship matches.

With all four quarters essentially “in the books” at this point, we want you to familiarize yourself with our picks from all four quarters. Next week, we are going to create a poll where you can vote on your pick for 2014 Match Of The Year.

With that said, here are the top five matches of the fourth quarter of 2014, complete with highlights where possible.

    5 Predictions Following Survivor Series

Last night’s Survivor Series was full of surprises. From title changes to a devastating Scorpion Death Drop, the event pretty much had it all. However, it left many questions regarding the future of the storyline, especially now that the Authority is no longer in power. Here are five paths I believe the company will take in the coming weeks.

    5. Ryback Fades to the Midcard

    ryback-ses-2

Let me start by saying that last night’s main event was impeccably booked. From Cena exiting early to Ziggler selling to hell out of his beating to Sting’s entertaining debut, they did pretty much everything right.

However, their one mistake was having Ryback eliminated minutes into the contest. He was the biggest story in the weeks leading up to the event, but played essentially no role in the actual match. Unfortunately for Ryback, it looks like he was simply being used as a crutch while the company waits for others to return. After Reigns, Lesnar, and Barrett return to television, the Big Guy will once again be an afterthought.

WWE Survivor Series 2014 Preview and Predictions

Survivor Series is mere hours away at this point. This baby is totally free, so anyone paying for this pay-per-view is doing it all wrong. In total, there are five matches on the main card, including a traditional Survivor Series tag team main event. Without further ado, here are my predictions for tonight’s Survivor Series pay-per-view.

Fandango (with Rosa Mendes) vs. TBA

    20141117_EP_LIGHT_SS_kickoff_home-logos

Although Fandango’s opponent has yet to be announced, I’d put my money on Adam Rose serving as the punching bag. The match will likely be used to further tension between Adam Rose and the Bunny, while also allowing Fandango to pick up a victory in his return to action.

    Winner: Fandango by pinfall

Alicia Fox, Emma, Naomi, and Natalya vs. Paige, Cameron, Layla, and Summer Rae (Divas Elimination Match)

Screen shot 2014-11-23 at 11.50.07 AM

This will be similar to last year’s Divas elimination match in that it will be total waste of ten minutes (and if we’re really lucky, we might get to see it again on Raw tomorrow!). This could go in many directions, but my guess is that Paige’s team wins after last eliminating Natalya.

Winners: Paige, Cameron, Layla, and Summer Rae by pinfall

HHH Promises To Fire Team Cena Members (Video), Team Authority On SmackDown Fallout

    – As noted recently, another stipulation was added to the main event of this Sunday’s WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view that would see all members of Team Cena, outside of John Cena himself, getting fired if Team Authority wins at the pay-per-view. Below is the segment from SmackDown where this was announced.

    – Speaking of SmackDown, below is this week’s “SmackDown Fallout” video, which features “Team Authority” leaving with the upper-hand.
