The Bella Twins have another project in the works, as they will host a new social experiment dating show for Amazon Studios.
It was announced on Thursday that Nikki & Brie Bella would be co-hosting “Twin Love,” which is slated to air in the US and UK through Amazon Prime, although a premiere date was not given. The show will focus on the love lives of identical twins and will have ten sets of twins.
The Synopsis
The synopsis for the project reads as “Twin Love is a social dating experiment that explores the love lives of identical twins. Ten sets of twins will be split up and placed into two houses of “identical” casts, where they’ll begin a unique and compelling search for love. With double the fun and drama, the series will discover if their inherent similarities extend to their romantic desires. When separated from their twin brothers and sisters—some for the first time ever—will they pursue the same identical partners? Or will their choices be dramatically different??
The series will be produced by Amazon Studios and ITV America’s ITV Entertainment, while Simon Thomas, Bernie Schaeffer, Kenny Rosen, and Jessica Nahmias will serve as executive producers.
The Bella Twins continue to find success outside of the WWE banner as they have their own podcast, brand of wine, and more.
Nikki co-hosted “Barmageddon” on USA Network, a series already renewed for a second season. The twins have also starred on “Total Divas,” “Total Bellas,” and other reality shows.
WWE Hall of Famer Madusa has shared her experience of appearing at Raw is XXX and if she believes WWE could’ve done more with her.
The company celebrated its historic 30th anniversary of Monday Night Raw on Jan. 23. While some fans enjoyed the show, others criticized the lack of female legends. Raw is XXX had male legends like Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker, and others make appearances and have segments on the show. However, Madusa was the only female legend to appear at Raw is XXX, and the company had her in the background playing poker.
In an interview with Just ALYX, Madusa talked about how the appearance came together. She has a new book, “Woman Who Would Be King: The Madusa Story,” with a release date to be announced. Amazon has it listed for pre-order for $29.95.
“It was an honor to be called. They did call me a month or two before that and asked me to go. Then like three weeks before, they said, ‘Oh, schedule change.’ And I’m used to that because they always did that. They change it a month ahead, three weeks, two nights before, and the night of the show. They always change the card,” said Madusa.
She admitted that she didn’t take it personally. “…Then they called me two nights before and said, ‘Blaze, can you still come?’ I’m like, what? Oh my gosh, let me see. So you don’t know going in, and you kind of negotiate beforehand on what are we doing. They told me they were gonna have me play poker. And I’m like, I don’t know how to play poker. They were like, ‘Blayze, it’s scripted.’ And I’m like, Oh, that’s right,” said Madusa.
Madusa on If She Agrees With The Bella Twins
After Raw is XXX ended, The Bella Twins spoke openly about how WWE failed to represent a woman on the show. Neither in video tribute packages nor on-screen segments, they believed it didn’t want to showcase women on the show compared to the men. Madusa spoke about The Bellas Twins’ claims as the only female legend on the show.
“My thought when I did see a little bit of that was like, what is all of this? And then I started thinking, well, I was the only woman legend there. That was an honor. I thought maybe they’d be praising that, at least. You know, having one of their older peers there. But I didn’t see any of that. If they were so upset, why wouldn’t they say? Why did Blayze not have anything better for her than just a poker game? So it goes both ways. I guess to have one there is great. But then again, it could have been more than a poker game. I’m just saying,” said Madusa.
WWE hasn’t responded to The Bella Twins’ claims about the lack of female representation on Raw is XXX. The lack of more female Hall of Famer on the show could’ve been a misunderstanding. Hopefully the next major anniversary show, WWE could have an equal tribute for everyone.
WWE Hall of Famer’s The Bella Twins were excluded from the Raw XXX celebration and it appears that the female stars are not happy about it.
The duo were originally advertised for the special episode of the show. They were later removed from the lineup however and ended up not making an appearance.
Mike Johnson of PWinsider noted that both Nikki and Brie Bella flew to Northeast over the weekend but they attended a performance of Wicked on Broadway in New York instead of making an appearance on the episode:
“It appears that the two sides may have had a disagreement on how their planned appearance was going to go, so The Bellas ended up not going to RAW in Philly.”
The Bella Twins Call Out WWE
After the Raw episode, the duo questioned the limited inclusion of the women’s revolution in the various packages and graphics during the show.
Nikki Bella claimed that the reason behind it is because the company does not want to show footage of Sasha Banks. Brie Bella chipped in saying that ‘there is a bunch of us they don’t wanna show.’
Nikki further slammed the company saying that ‘when you do what they don’t wanted you, they don’t show you’:
The Bella Twins started their WWE career as a tag team. The duo used their identical looks to deceive their opponents and pick up wins early in their run.
Turns out their opponents aren’t the only ones who have trouble telling the Twins apart. Their own kids can’t differentiate between the two.
The sisters talked about this on the latest episode of The Bellas podcast. Nikki mentioned how Brie’s kids get confused between her and her sister:
“Brie’s kids get so confused with her and I. Buddy goes, ‘Mama.’ And I go, ‘No, it’s Dodo’… He wouldn’t like, let it go.”
Brie Bella then shared a similar experience with her son. She told a story of how Buddy thought her to be Nikki after waking up from a nap:
“He wouldn’t stop, yesterday he wakes up from a nap. I walk in there and he literally does this big back bump and he goes, ‘No, Dodo. No.’ And I’m like, ‘No, it’s Mama.’
“I had to like squat down and like look through the crib handlebars. And I was like ‘Bud-Bud, it’s Mama,’ And then finally he stopped crying and he goes, ‘Mama?’ And I’m like, ‘Don’t I have a, a certain scent?’ “
Brie Bella and Bryan Danielson have two children. Their son Buddy Dessert is 23 months old and daughter Birdie Joe is 5. Nikki Bella has a 23-month-old son with Artem Chigvintsev who they have named Matteo Artemovich.
WWE recently confirmed a number of big entrances for the upcoming Women’s Royal Rumble match and among them were none other than The Bella Twins.
The twins had been talking about a potential return for a while. On the latest episode of their The Bellas Podcast, the sisters opened up about WWE finally confirming their comeback for the upcoming battle royal.
The sisters first discussed how their return was announced in advance instead of being kept a secret. Brie mentioned that it makes sense business-wise and then suggested that there could still be some surprise appearances:
“My guess is, there will still be surprises, but I have no idea. Is it a comeback? The greatest thing about WWE and big pay-per-views like the Royal Rumble is you can come back for one great night and have fun.”
Nikki Bella had been very open about her health issues prior to this announcement. During the episode, she revealed that she was cleared over the holidays:
“I officially got cleared. I think everyone remembers from Total Bellas, when we had the first women’s Royal Rumble, there were a lot of rules on me. Those are the same.
When we were in Phoenix, I went in and saw my surgeon. They scanned me, I did MRI, scans on my brain, my neck, everything you can think of, they did.”
Apart from the Bella Twins, WWE has confirmed entries such as Summer Rae, Kelly Kelly, Lita, Michelle McCool, and the Impact Knockouts champion Mickie James for the upcoming event.
The Bella Twins have been with WWE for the most part since they signed with the company in 2007, except for a brief period. The sisters left WWE back in April 2012 for a while before returning to the organization almost a year later in March 2013.
During their recent appearance on Wrestling with Freddie, the former champions talked about the dark days of women’s wrestling and more. They also explained the reasoning for their sudden departure from the promotion back in the day.
Nikki Bella explained that The Bella Twins had signed a 5-year contract with WWE when they first got into the company. Their contracts were coming up and they weren’t happy with how women were being treated in the promotion:
“Our five years were coming up. I remember at that point; Brie and I just did not like how women were treated in WWE. Two-minute matches but were allowed ten minutes on live events. While we were working hard on live events, we were never allowed a showcase on TV and our stories didn’t have depth and we just weren’t treated right.”
The former Diva’s champion continued by saying that they tried to remind the officials about their contracts but they couldn’t get a response. The duo ultimately decided to stop reminding the company. The officials finally reached out to them when their contract had already expired and the female stars decided not to renew them:
“They were like ‘we’ll give you these stories,’ and I was like, you couldn’t even have a conversation with me. I remember we’d just had this conversation and I said ‘we’re leaving.’ They still probably thought Brie and I were going to sign after the show or that week, they kept calling. Literally, when we left RAW in Chicago, after the championship match, we left and that was it.”
Nikki Bella defeated Beth Phoenix to win the Diva’s championship during the April 23, 2012 episode of Raw. Her contract expired the day after the championship win. Nikki dropped the title to Layla the following Sunday at Extreme Rules after The Bella Twins informed the officials of their decision. They had a rematch for the title on the Raw after the PPV and the twins left the company after that show
The Bella Twins have both captured the WWE Divas Championship during their career in the company. Brie Bella captured the championship once in her career and Nikki Bella has two reigns to her name. While WWE didn’t do make any custom changes to the title for the champion holding it, the Bella Twins have decided to look back on their days as champions and have made a custom title for themselves.
In a video uploaded on their YouTube channel The Bella Twins, the twins unbox their custom Divas Championship belts which are red in color instead of the signature pink. Brie’s title had “Brie Mode” printed on it while Nikki had “Fearless 02” printed on the left side of the belt.
“Honestly, if we embark for one more run, I think I would have to replace the Raw Women’s Championship, the SmackDown Women’s Championship or the Women’s Tag Team Championships with this,” Nikki said. “Ooh, how much would people hate us?” questioned Brie. The twins added that the belts are available to purchase from WWE’s online store.
Brie Bella won the Divas title from Eve Torres in April 2011. Two months later in June, she would drop the title to Kelly Kelly on an episode of Raw. She would only hold the title for one reign of 70 days.
Nikki Bella would then win the title in April 2012 by defeating Beth Phoenix in a lumberjill match on Raw. This would be the first time Nikki would win the title. The title reign didn’t amount to much, however, as she would lose the belt at Extreme Rules six days later to Layla, who had just made a return at the time.
Nikki would hold the title again at Survivor Series 2014 from AJ Lee and this time she would hold the title for 301 days, becoming the longest-reigning Divas Champion of all time.
Nikki Bella’s fiancé Artem Chigvintsev had said during an interview with US Magazine that The Bella Twins are having talks about coming back and he wouldn’t be surprised if they returned.
Since the WrestleMania season is approaching, a lot of people wondered if this could mean that we will see the Bellas returning to WWE TV anytime soon, with a Royal Rumble return being the most talked-about scenario.
However, in a new video on their YouTube channel, the Bella Twins talked about these rumors and Brie first explained the hardships she had to face the last time she made a return after giving birth to Birdie:
“A couple of mistakes I did with Birdie on a couple of my comebacks is Birdie was so little — you’re sleep deprived, you’re trying to train, you’re trying to be a mom, so it can be really hard,
I’d like to wait until the boys are like two years old, or something like that. I see us making a comeback in a couple of years, or maybe it’s next year, I don’t know, but it’s not next month!”
Brie continued by saying that they do want to make a return to in ring competition but they aren’t sure about the timeline of their comeback.
Nikki Bella then explained that they aren’t ‘in talks’ right now and what Artem meant was that the sisters have discussed it among themselves. She confirmed that they haven’t spoken to WWE about a return to the ring.
This clarification confirms that the Bella Twins aren’t planning to return to the ring anytime soon and if they do make a comeback it will be somewhere down the line.
The Bella Twins recently appeared on Busted Open Radio to promote their new book Incomparable and during their appearance; they revealed how it’s like to deal with Vince McMahon in real life.
Brie was the first to speak. She said that the Boss is “definitely intimidating.” Agreeing to her comments, Nikki said that you do get scared when you go to meet Vince in his office.
Though Brie continued by saying that Mr McMahon does appreciate when you come up with ideas and she then claimed that their conversation with him were always gentle:
“Every time we sat down with Vince it was always a gentle conversation. I mean, he definitely yelled at us a couple of times in ‘Gorilla [Position]’ and that was scary,
But to actually sit down and we always walked out of there either understanding our story or the bigger picture or just changing something in a way that we all were kind of like, ‘Oh, you’re right. Maybe it should go this way.'”
Nikki then jumped in to say that Vince McMahon is straight up with talent and you would know exactly which direction your character will be going to after talking to him:
“When you would talk to him, it’s kind of like, you couldn’t be disappointed on what was going to happen or what direction you’re going in, because you knew it,”
The Bellas also talked about how many talents do not build a relationship with Vince McMahon and always look at him as the ‘scary Vince’. You can check out the duo’s comments in the clip below:
WWE has added the return of Bella Twins, Nikki Bella and Brie Bella for a talk show segment to an already stacked line up for this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
The company has announced that the twin sisters will be
taking part in the “A Moment of Bliss” segment hosted by former
Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross.
The Bellas are not the only big name announced for a return
on Friday Night and former Universal Champion Bill Goldberg is also expected to
appear live on the show.
The company has also announced a few matches for the episode with the most interesting one being a #1 contenders match between Carmella and Naomi.
The winner of this bout will then go on to challenge the
current SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley for her title at the upcoming Super
Showdown event.
Though this isn’t the only announced bout and they have also confirmed that the Usos will be teaming up with The New Day to take on John Morrison, The Miz, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode in an 8 men tag team match.
There is no word yet on why the Bella Twins are returning to SmackDown but they are expected to be inducted into Hall Of Fame this year and it’s possible that the company confirms this news during the upcoming segment.
In the past, WWE Superstars have been given a platform to say goodbye to fans when retiring—especially if they are tragically forced into it. Paige, Edge, and Daniel Bryan were all afforded an in-ring opportunity to say farewell. Nikki Bella, however, has not been given that opportunity.
On an episode of the twins’ podcast, The Bellas Podcast, Nikki spoke openly about why she believes she hasn’t been invited by WWE to make a formal retirement speech.
Smart Marks
“I feel like they haven’t had me come in and do a retirement speech because—guys, it’s crazy. Brie and I have become hated by the ‘Smart Marks’,” Nikki explained.
“I always looked at it like, well, we did a really good job as heels for so long. But it was like the more successful we would get with the reality shows, and the men that we were dating and married to, and all that, we became more and more hated. For people to go against us in the ring and on the mic, it’s very easy to create promos with Brie and I, or about us. And I look at Paige, and Bryan, and Edge, and the list goes on of people who got to have that [retirement speech] moment.”
“I Gave Thirteen Years Of My Life”
Becoming emotional, Nikki added:
“It’s going to make me cry because, you know, I love wrestling. I gave thirteen years of my life. I beat my body up. I mean, it was my world. It’s so sad sometimes when I see the lack of respect or, like, not the appreciation. You know how badly I wish I could go out there and wrestle again, and do it for the fans, and do it for us? I mean, I’ve risked my life. And you know what? I’m a human being; sometimes we like to be acknowledged or appreciated,” she stated.
“[…] the fact that I gave so much and I will never get to stand in that ring and have the ‘thank you, Nikki’ chant, or even give my last, final words—I found out the Thursday before WrestleMania and I’m done. That’s it…I pray one day, Brie, we will be appreciated by that crowd.”
Brie then talked about the possibility of her coming back. She teased that she would love to tag with her husband, Daniel Bryan. The potential rivals in this proposed feud? Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.
Sasha Banks hasn’t been seen in WWE since she and Bayley lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 35. The women who would walk away victorious that night were Peyton Royce and Billie Kay, The IIconics.
This win surprised the WWE Universe, as many believed that Banks and Bayley were primed for a long run with the championships.
It appears the reason for the change was to set up a feud between The IIconics and The Bella Twins.
The news was revealed on a recent episode of The Bella Twins podcast.
“Bella Twins Were Coming Back In A Big Way”
During the show, Nikki divulged more information about her neck issues. She also spoke about the plans that had been put in place for a Bella return, post-WrestleMania.
“Brie and I, we were gonna come back and fight for the tag titles after WrestleMania and we were gonna go against The IIconics for a few months,” Nikki said.
She explained that “Deep down inside, I kept having this weird feeling that I needed to get an x-ray on my neck because, for a while, I wasn’t feeling okay. Brie knows that in December after Evolution, I just kept telling her that I feel off and my head doesn’t feel right…”
Brie added that they had gear ready, and the two of them were fully prepared for their return to in-ring action—despite only having retired weeks prior.
“We were ready,” Nikki said. “Bella Twins were coming back in a big way.”
They were meant to start the feud on the SmackDown Live after WrestleMania. Nikki Bella’s MRI results would scupper those plans after doctors informed her her neck was fully herniated. She was also told they had discovered a benign cyst on her brain. They warned her that one bad landing could lead to paralysis.
The IIconics haven’t had a notable feud since winning the championships. Though they have been competing against Asuka and Kairi Sane at Live Events, the duo have yet to defend them on a pay-per-view.
It hasn’t even been a month since both Nikki Bella and Brie
Bella, the Bella Twins announced their retirement from in-ring competition, but
the sisters are already talking about a possible return.
In what seems like a good strategy to market their new podcast, the Bellas talked about a number of things during the first episode of the Bellas Podcast while also discussing a comeback.
The topic was brought up when a fan asked them about the Women’s Tag Titles and replying to it, Brie said that they did say they were stepping away but it was before the tag titles were introduced.
She went on to claim that the fact that there is a tag title
for the female competitors is extremely tempting for them because they’re the
longest reigning, most authentic tag team in the company.
This led to Nikki recalling their debut and early days in the company as a tag team. She then said that she has had an amazing career in WWE and she would love to win the Women’s Tag titles with Brie.
The two concluded the topic with Nikki saying that she would
love to take on the current champions Sasha Banks and Bayley while Brie
reminded everyone to never say never.
As we noted before, Nikki Bella is open to a return as long as the timing is right and while this appears to be just a tease, it wouldn’t be a big surprise if we see the Bella Twins making a return somewhere down the line.
We recently reported on “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey allegedly joining the cast of ‘Total Divas.’ Now, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet, it appears that Nikki and Brie Bella won’t be returning for the next season of ‘Total Divas’ as well.
Stepping away from the show that helped to popularize them to a wider audience, the Bella Twins are actively choosing to instead focus on their spin-off series, ‘Total Bellas.’
The Total Divas cast, as it stands now, includes Carmella, Natalya, Nia Jax, Naomi, and the recently announced Sonya Deville.
From that lineup, it can be assumed that Paige won’t be returning when cameras start rolling for the new season. She is currently promoting her new biopic, ‘Fighting With My Family.’
Sonya Steps In
Sonya Deville stepped in to replace Lana. It was revealed that Lana and Rusev would be removed from the show for being “strongly disliked by the demographic.”
When asked about joining the cast, she responded:
“I have been through things and I am the person I am for a lot of reasons and I love sharing those stories for the fans because it’s relatable. And on that topic, I’ll be on Season 9 of Total Divas, which is something I am super excited about.”
For what it’s worth, Pro Wrestling Sheet stated that Nikki Bella will continue on as an Executive Producer.
The Bella Twins just suggested a match that will certainly get a reaction from professional wrestling fans. Nikki and Brie walked the red carpet for the “People’s Choice Awards,” and did an interview with E!’s Giuliana Rancic. The twins were asked about several professional wrestling topics, including working WWE Evolution with Ronda Rousey, their next match, and more.
In regards to their next match, The Bella Twins were asked who they’d like to share the ring with. They offered a very interesting response. Nikki threw out the suggestion of facing mega-celebrity sisters, The Kardashians:
“I honestly think what would be really good is the Kardashians! Sisters versus sisters!” Nikki said.
Brie Bella followed up and agreed with her sister, saying “I think that would be a good match.” The Kardashians have several reality TV shows on E! Network and are arguably the most famous celebrities on the planet. The Bella Twins are featured on a few of E!’s reality shows as well. Those being “Total Divas” and “Total Bellas.”
There’s definitely a bit of a working relationship between the two sides should they want to open up discussions for something like a WWE match. It remains to be seen if anything becomes of The Bellas comments. Check out The Bellas’ interview with E!, in which they challenge The Kardashians to a match, below:
Do you think this is something WWE would actually pursue?
WWE’s announcement of Evolution took a lot of people by surprise. Even The Bella Twins. WWE will host its first-ever all-female pay-per-view (PPV) tomorrow (Sat., October 27, 2018) from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. The show will be headlined by two of WWE’s biggest female stars.
RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey will defend her title against Nikki Bella. Nikki’s sister, Brie, will likely be in her corner. Recently, The Bella Twins took part in a Q&A panel at the Ace Comic Con in Chicago. During the session, they were asked about their reaction to the announcement of the PPV.
Never Saw It Coming
Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, and Triple H made the announcement inside the ring, with all the WWE Superstars on the entrance ramp of RAW. Brie initially assumed the announcement was going to be in regards to Women’s Tag Team Titles:
“I actually thought they were probably bringing in tag team titles for the women, just because of how everyone was out in the ring and they were speaking,” Brie said. “And I wasn’t expecting an all women’s pay-per-view.
“Look, I have goosebumps just saying it out loud. I was sitting on the couch watching and I was like, ‘wait, what?’ It really made me teary eyed. I was like, ‘wow, this is a really historic moment for WWE.’”
As for Nikki, she was definitely taken aback by the announcement. She believed women would main event a WrestleMania before getting their own PPV:
“I was with Brie and I remember we were both floored,” Nikki said. “I mean, I was in shock. And I had no idea it was coming either. I thought we might see first women main eventing WrestleMania and then an all women’s pay-per-view, but I love the fact that that [has] come before that. It’s amazing.”
What do you make of The Bella Twins’ reaction to the news of Evolution?
Nikki and Brie Bella attacked Ronda Rousey on Monday night in Chicago. The twins and the Raw Women’s Champion had just defeated the Riott Squad for the second time in a row when the attack occurred.
During the attack, the Raw commentary team speculated as to why the Bellas would attack Rousey. After the show, however, WWE cameras caught up with the pair to ask them why they did what they did.
When asked why they would attack someone who had been standing beside them in recent weeks, Brie offered up the following response:
“Been by our side? You mean taking up our space,” Brie said. “Standing in front of us, taking our shine, is that what you mean?”
“Brie and I are here for evolution but we’re here to remind everyone, even Ronda Rousey, that this is a ‘Bellalution’,” added Nikki.
Nikki and Brie Bella’s “Bellalution”
Both Nikki and Brie are former Divas Champions. Nikki held the title twice and Brie on just one occasion. Nikki’s 301-day title reign with the belt is the longest in the now-retired championship’s history. AJ Lee still holds the record for most combined days spent with the title at 406, split between 3 reigns. Unless the title is brought back, AJ will be the all-time record-holder in that category.
Ronda Rousey posted this on Instagram in regards to the attack:
WWE has announced that The Bella Twins will be appearing at the SummerSlam Meet & Greets on Friday, August 17 at the Barclays Center. They will join WWE Champion AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan and RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss for the 3:30 pm signing.
Bella Twins in 2018
The Bella Twins have not been seen on WWE television since the Royal Rumble back in January.
Brie Bella has been enjoying motherhood as of late. She and Daniel Bryan are busy raising their daughter Birdie. Number two might not be far behind, as Brie told People Magazine that she will probably be pregnant again soon.
Nikki has been in the news lately due to her on and off engagement with John Cena. That turmoil has been documented on the latest season of the Total Bellas reality series on the E! Network. The has officially called it quits and have moved on, according to the latest reports
Fans of the Bella Twins will have their chance to meet them during SummerSlam weekend. It also seems likely that they will be part of WWE Evolution in some capacity.
The Bella Twins’ brother, JJ, and his wife, Loren, recently joined the Total Bellas Aftershow to offer their thoughts on Nikki Bella and John Cena’s relationship, as well as whether or not they think Daniel Bryan would ever fight in the UFC. JJ first commented on the rumors going around that Cena and Nikki’s breakup was staged:
“Honestly, my sister asked us not to say anything. Even though we do put our lives out there in the public, my sister is a very private person. And she loves John and what they are going through they want it between them.
“Even with how public John is, John is super private. The one thing I can tell you for a fact is that it wasn’t for the ratings or for the show at all. It actually threw the show for a loop.”
JJ then offered his thoughts on if he thinks Cena is ready to be a father:
“I definitely think he is ready for kids. When I met Loren .. things changed. I’m not the same person I was before Loren. We change as a person, especially for the person you love. There was one thing for him. John loves Vivienne and he loves Birdie.
“He has a blast with them and even my cousin’s kids he has blast with. I think it (being around kids) definitely changed for him. Once you have a kid, it’s a totally different love you will ever experience. And I think his eyes got open to that and he wants that.”
“I could beat him on the ground for sure. If WWE would let me fight in UFC, maybe.”
JJ said he doesn’t believe Bryan would ever fight in the UFC, as it just isn’t “in his blood”:
“Daniel wouldn’t fight in UFC, it’s not in his blood. He is a technical guy. Bryan is not the ground and pound, want to beat someone up guy… that mentality that you probably need to have for UFC.
“He is a technical guy and probably one of the best wrestlers of all time technically, and that’s what he really enjoys. He never will get into it. I know that for a fact. He loves UFC by the way. He loves watching it.”
WWE registered for “Taboo Tuesday” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on July 24th. The last Taboo Tuesday event was held 12 years ago and then it was changed into Cyber Sunday, which came to an end in 2008. Time will tell if the old PPV concept shows up on new editions of SmackDown going forward. Cyber Sunday was a PPV which allowed fans to vote on match stipulations, opponents and more.
Total Divas respond to Paige
Paige commented on the upcoming season of “Total Divas” recently and stated that she missed everyone in the cast.
As noted earlier, Mike Kanellis responded to fan that said that he was a joke in GFW and is still a joke in WWE. Kanellis responded to the fan “Except I get paid now” and followed it up with several emojis. The fan has since deleted the tweet, but Matt Hardy chimed in with a shot of his own shot at GFW.
It is truly DELIGHTFUL to get your check every week, on time, without having to chase it down for months.
On Tuesday, to celebrate WWE’s official Bella Twins YouTube channel quickly reaching the 100,000 subscriber milestone, a glowing Brie Bella (well, Brianna Danielson, since we’re talking about the real person) posted a the above new video. Wearing a kimono, she thanks her fans before stripping to a bikini and revealing her newly minted baby bump, which had “THANK YOU” written on it for good measure.
Brianna and husband Bryan “Daniel Bryan” Danielson are expecting their baby some time in the spring. They announced the pregnancy on October 6th, so if you go with the logic that they waited three months (as many couples do), the baby is likely due around WrestleMania 33.
– Since coming up short in the WWE Women’s Championship Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania 32, Sasha Banks’ on-screen role has been considerably deemphasized. In the weeks since the night after the event, where she beat Summer Rae in a singles match, she has only competed one other time on television (an eight-women tag team match on the April 18 Raw). It was her last appearance on television.
In the meantime, Banks continues to work a full-time schedule with WWE and has been competing at non-televised events. While she could pop up on television at any time, she is purposely being kept out of a program for “long-term storyline reasons.” This is according to Wrestling Observer Newsletter editor Dave Meltzer, who revealed her status Monday on Twitter.
After being asked, “whats up with @SashaBanksWWE? Injury? Any current plans for her or just dying on the vine for no reason?,” Meltzer responded, “Working a full schedule, just being kept off a TV program for long-term storyline reasons.”

– The Bella Twins and John Cena represented WWE today at the NBC Upfront presentation at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The traditional event is where NBC Universal stars and executives pitch their television portfolio to advertisers.
Here is a photo of the WWE Superstars together at the event.
Total Divas is back this Tuesday (January 19th) at 9:00 p.m. ET on E! Entertainment Television, which means that WWE has started to push out all sorts of promotional material for the show’s season premiere. For example, Paige revealing that she has a concussion was part of an interview promoting the premiere, E! is running more Total Divas content on their website again, and even In Touch Weekly’s website got in on the act by featuring a Rosa Mendes baby bump photo. Of course, it also means that WWE has released preview clips for the episode on their YouTube channel.
In the first clip, Brie Bella/Brianna Danielson (remember, Total Divas is weird about names) and husband Daniel Bryan/Bryan Danielson talk to someone about some business proposal of her’s. Somehow, Bryan’s gardening and jelly/jam-making hobby play into this. In the brief clip, he does talk about how there’s now the possibility that he may be done wrestling.
Then there’s the resolution to last season’s cliffhanger, as Dolph Ziggler/Nick Nemeth says he could give Nikki Bella/Nicole Garcia-Colace babies and marriage if they got back together. Then he tries to kiss her in front of her and John Cena’s bus. This does not go well.
Later, she finally tells Cena. It looks like it may not go well, but they cut it off before “it gets good.” I guess we’ll have to tune in to find out what happens next, unfortunately.
