WWE released the trailer for the new WWE Studios film “Queens of the Ring,” which features cameo appearances from CM Punk, The Miz and Eve Torres. It’s worth mentioning that while Punk’s name is still included on the DVD cover, WWE did not list his name in the description of the video they posted on their official YouTube channel.
WWE posted the following description with the video trailer, which you can view above.
“In a desperate attempt to reconnect with her estranged son who is a passionate WWE fan, Rose grabs his attention by joining a rigorous training program to learn to wrestle like a legitimate WWE Diva. She convinces her bored fellow cashiers at the local supermarket to join her challenging new adventure and together they become the “Queens of the Ring”. Featuring cameos by The Miz and Eve Torres.”
– On this week’s WWE SmackDown (which has already aired in the UK), WWE will announce John Cena vs. Ryback has been scheduled for Monday’s RAW from Liverpool, England. With Ryback’s renewed push, it will be very interesting to see how he’s booked against WWE’s top babyface. Ryback is rumored to be a member of Team Cena at Survivor Series, so this match could be a way to set that up.
On Monday’s WWE Hell In A Cell “go-home” edition of RAW, two announcements were made regarding the pay-per-view “Kickoff Show.”
Hosting the “expert panel” at Sunday’s Hell In A Cell “Kickoff Show” will be WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T, along with his usual partner Alex Riley and special guest, Paul Heyman.
Additionally, a “Mizdow TV” segment was confirmed, with Damien Mizdow (aka Damien Sandow) and special guest, The Miz.

Every Hollywood star needs a stunt double at some point (unless your name is The Rock, apparently). But what happens when the stunt double becomes more popular than the main attraction? This is could be the case with the WWE’s Hollywood A-lister, The Miz, and his stunt double, Damien Mizdow.
It seemed like the WWE had big plans last year for Damien Sandow. He had just recently won the Money in the Bank briefcase, was featured prominently on most of the company’s programs, and ultimately represented the future of the company.
Sandow has shined since adopting his new Damien “Mizdow” gimmick.
However, in a move that was nothing more than a cheap attempt to increase ratings, Sandow was forced to unsuccessfully cash in his briefcase last fall against John Cena. Since that night, Sandow has been relegated to comedic duty, where he was squashed nearly every night while putting up with awful gimmicks.
However, despite the awfulness of the gimmicks, Sandow made the most of it and was actually entertaining, much like he has done in his current role with The Miz.
In fact, it’s easy to see that Sandow is now more over than The Miz, evidenced this week on Raw, where the crowd was chanting, “We want Sandow” during The Miz’s contest. As most fans have already figured out, Damien Sandow is too entertaining to be stuck as a midcarder’s sidekick, and he is without a doubt deserving of a push.
The fans have really been eating up Sandow’s shtick of imitating the action going on in the ring, often leading to the former Intellectual Savior of the Masses lying on the floor, seemingly applying a headlock to a ghost.
It was announced on Monday’s edition of WWE RAW that on this coming Friday’s edition of WWE SmackDown, one of the main events will be a six-man tag-team match.
The Usos will team up with Sheamus to take on the trio of Goldust, Stardust and The Miz.

The following are highlights of the latest blog by WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross:
On Randy Orton: “Hard to believe it’s been 12 years since we introduced Randy Orton on WWE TV and the son of a HOFer hasn’t disappointed on his way to his own HOF career. @RandyOrton is one of WWE’s most valuable commodities especially with the company rebuilding it’s main event talent roster to a large degree. Randy was one of the most interesting talents to manage that I was ever around and he always kept me on my toes but at the end of the day I am immensely proud of the talent that he has evolved to be.”
On the WWE Intercontinental Championship change on RAW: “Good move putting the IC Title on Dolph Ziggler again as I was perplexed as to why he lost it the night before at Night of Champions. I’m beginning to wonder if the holders of the IC & US Titles are blessed or cursed.”
On Paul Heyman’s absence from RAW: “Curious as to why no Paul Heyman and few mentions of WWE World Champion Brock Lesnar on RAW. I missed a @HeymanHustle verbal presentation.”

Ronda Rousey vs. TRANSSEXUAL?!, Wanderlei Silva BANNED FOR LIFE From MMA + MORE!
In a rematch from the WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view, The Miz defended his WWE Intercontinental Championship against Dolph Ziggler.
In what turned out to be a great match, Ziggler, despite a distraction attempt from Damien Sandow (aka Damien “Mizdow”) overcame the odds and scored the pin on Miz, holding the tights for leverage to once again become the WWE Intercontinental Champion.
WWE RAW emanates from the FedExForum in Memphis, Tennessee with the fallout from Sunday night’s WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view.
WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar, who successfully retained his title in his rematch against John Cena on Sunday, is not advertised to be a part of the show. Also expected to be absent tonight are Chris Jericho and Roman Reigns.
Superstars that are advertised for tonight’s show include Dean Ambrose, The Wyatt Family, Randy Orton, John Cena, Seth Rollins, Triple H, Kane, Cesaro, Sheamus, Big E and The Usos.
In the case of Reigns, as noted above, he is not expected to appear, however he is included in the advertisements for the show. It’s worth noting that this is likely a case of advertisements that were released prior to his emergency surgery this weekend.
WWE is focusing on the following points in their “RAW Five-Point Preview” for tonight’s show.
– Who is next for Brock Lesnar?
– Will Dolph Ziggler look for retribution on The Miz tonight?
– What will Goldust and Stardust do next?
– Will Paige and Nikki Bella prey upon AJ Lee now that she’s the Divas Champion?
– Will Dean Ambrose strike at Seth Rollins once again?
The following are highlights of a new CBS Cleveland interview with Dolph Ziggler:
Will Dolph Ziggler be billed from Cleveland now that The Miz is billed from Hollywood: “That is in the works. I don’t know that it’s going to happen but I have pushed for it before and now it kind of makes sense and there’s a chance for it. As of now it’s Hollywood, Florida so we’ll see”
His thoughts on the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar not being on Raw every week: “Eight years ago, it would have made me really mad with Rock coming back and guys who come back just for WrestleMania. It’s a two part story. It makes me so mad that we can’t do a show without those guys. But here’s the business side: we need those guys to get eyes on a show that normally wouldn’t get them so you can see these up and coming guys so one day down the line in twenty years when I’m doing something else and they say “Hey we need you to get on this card so we can highlight these twenty other guys who are up and coming”. It’s a circle of life and a circle of business. If they weren’t making money, they wouldn’t keep doing it.”
Who is next for Lesnar? “The way he beat up Cena is something I’ve never seen before in our business so it makes you want to see who the hell is going to beat this guy. Who can?”
His thoughts on Sting coming to WWE: “Just watching that commercial for 2K15 the first time it debuted, we were all like “Oh, is this the thing?!”. We were backstage and we crowded around the monitor to see a one second thing where they showed his mask and everyone flipped out because it’s that big of a deal. There are so few special things left that haven’t happened in this business so having Sting coming back no matter what he does, or if he comes back, just to have him show up one night would just blow the roof off for us backstage and for the fans of course.”
Does he believe CM Punk when he says he will “never ever” be back in a wrestling ring? “I’ve always been told to never say never in this business or “this guy will never work here” but yet here they are. So you never know. So far of all the nevers I’ve ever heard none of them have ever stuck but you never know.”

As things stand right now, the only matches officially set for the September 21st WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view in Nashville, Tennessee are Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Sheamus vs. Cesaro for the WWE United States Championship and Dolph Ziggler vs. The Miz for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
According to reports, two additional matches that are all but confirmed are The Usos vs. Goldust and Stardust for the WWE Tag-Team Championships and Mark Henry vs. Rusev.
The plan right now for the WWE Divas Championship match on the card appears to be a four-way with Paige defending against AJ Lee, Nikki Bella and Brie Bella, as all four were linked together on all of WWE’s television shows this week.
Another match likely for the show, although it may not be a pay-per-view match, is Bo Dallas vs. Jack Swagger.
The key Superstars left without matches that are expected on the show are Chris Jericho (in his final match of his current run with WWE), Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan, Randy Orton, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns.
It appears WWE is going with a Reigns vs. Rollins match, so they may go with Jericho vs. Orton since the Jericho vs. Wyatt and Reigns vs. Orton matches are set for next week’s RAW to combat the season premiere of Monday Night Football. However, they could either way, with one final Jericho vs. Wyatt “blow-off” match, as well as another Reigns vs. Orton bout.
As noted in the past, the WWE Studios film “Lockdown,” which Dean Ambrose is off filming, is set to wrap up on the Saturday before Night Of Champions, so he could end up on the show if WWE chooses to go that route.
– It was announced on this week’s edition of WWE RAW that on this week’s WWE Main Event show, which airs live on the WWE Network on Tuesday night, The Miz will host a MizTV segment with special guest, WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler.
– Also announced on this week’s RAW is a match for this week’s edition of WWE SmackDown, which will be taped on Tuesday night. In a non-title match, WWE Divas Champion Paige will go one-on-one with Brie Bella.
– The person who played The Miz’s makeup artist during his tag-team match on Monday’s RAW was independent female wrestler Sarah “Crazy Mary Dobson” Bridges.
– During the Total Divas Twitter Q&A, which we reported about on Sunday, Brie Bella noted that she would like to feud with NXT Divas Champion Charlotte in the future.
– The Miz and Eva Marie are scheduled to appear at the Adventureland Store in Voorhees, New Jersey on September 27th from noon until 2pm. It is said that availability is limited and advanced purchase at AdventurelandStore.com is suggested.
– The WWE Network will be airing several “Attitude Era RAW” flashback episodes this week. Each episode is said to have a run-time of 90 minutes.
– Today is the 43rd birthday of former WWE Superstar Jimmy Snuka Jr. It also would have been the 61st birthday of former Public Enemy member Rocco Rock and the 53rd birthday of former WWE Superstar Bam Bam Bigelow.
There are reports coming out of Sunday night’s WWE live event in Fresno, California that claim The Miz may have suffered an injury of some sort during his match with Dolph Ziggler.
According to one fan in attendance, after taking a stiff super-kick and a Zig-Zag from Ziggler to end the match, Miz reportedly left in a daze and had to be helped to the back by ringside trainers.
– Part two of Steve Austin’s interview with Mick Foley on his “Steve Austin Show” podcast is now available. You can download the show right now at PodcastOne.com.
– Rob Van Dam noted on Twitter recently that he has some interest in writing an autobiography at some point in the future.
– The North American Wrestling Rankings blog, which has been keeping TV statistics dating back to November of 2006, noted that when The Miz lost to Roman Reigns on this week’s SmackDown, it was his 100th televised loss as a singles competitor. WWE SummerSlam opened up on Sunday night with two title changes, as Dolph Ziggler defeated The Miz to become the new WWE Intercontinental Champion in the pay-per-view opener, while Paige defeated AJ Lee in the second PPV match of the evening to become the new WWE Divas Champion.
Later on in the show, in the third of three title matches, the title change count went 3-0, as Brock Lesnar defeated John Cena in the main event of the evening to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion
The following are highlights from the latest Jim Ross blog, which features the WWE Hall Of Famer giving his predictions for tonight’s WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view.
On John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar: “If you’ve listened to my Ross Report Podcast on podcastone.com and iTunes you know that I’ve been saying for months that I thought Lesnar would win the WWE Title at Sumer Slam even before Cena regained the championship. I will stay with my prediction as I feel that WWE is grooming Roman Reigns for the to spot and that Reigns beating Lesnar next year at WM31 would be a big money match if properly built. Yes, one can build it ‘properly’ even if Lesnar isn’t a ‘full time’ talent. It’s called smart booking. It was done for decades with the traveling, NWA Champion.”
On The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler: “Timing is every thing in the wrestling biz and Ziggler has had too many false starts to endure many more w/o being looked upon by many frustrated fans negatively. I’d put Ziggler over and take a positive step in restoring the shine to the IC Title and what it has meant in years past in WWE…the in ring, work horse champ.”
On AJ Lee vs. Paige: “As I have said many times, AJ is WWE’s top in ring Diva while Paige has the ability to put herself firmly in that conversation. Although neither lady may find themselves ever on ‘Totally Divas,’ and they both may not care, I feel that AJ will retain her title Sunday.”
On Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton: ” ‘The Roman Empire’ begins its build in earnest with a quality win over a proven, top talent at a major PPV. WWE is doing a nice job building Reigns who is a work in progress but, as I’ve said, he has until April 2015 to be truly ready for ‘the spot.’ Funny how some fans of today’s generation are already having issues with Reigns which, based on their own reasoning, is embarrassing in my opinion.”
On Rusev vs. Jack Swagger: “It is hard to logically fathom seeing the Russian Flag prevail over the American flag in a match where capturing the flag determines the winner. I’m going with my fellow Oklahoman Jack Swagger who will always be the 2nd toughest wrestling from Perry, Oklahoma (Next to Dan Hodge) Sunday in LA in this traditional, nationalistic story line. A loss in this type of match won’t hurt Rusev in the least as he is still a work in progress too. The more personality Swagger demonstrates the better chance he has to contribute in a more significant way in WWE.”
On Stephanie McMahon vs. Brie Bella: “I like this storyline, although I wasn’t crazy about the physical therapist component added last week implicating Brie’s husband Daniel Bryan having an affair with the physical therapist, and think that WWE can easily get more mileage out of this pairing. By hook or crook, I’d get Steph over and continue the rivalry in a very personal way which may include Nikki Bella. Steph has been a star in this presentation thus far. For a mother of three who has multiple full time jobs Mrs. HHH looks great and will represent well in the ring.”
On Bray Wyatt vs. Chris Jericho: “Wyatt needs to win here and if he doesn’t I’d suggest counseling for all involved in the decision making process. There’s no reason that these two couldn’t have the match of the night or damn close to it.”
On Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose: “I’d like to see Rollins win a close one here and am curious to see how the Lumberjack Stipulation creatively plays into the match. I’d start the show with this match and feel that these two will tear down the Staples Center if provided the time so that they don’t have to rush the process.”
