– The WWE Studios holiday movie “Christmas Bounty” starring The Miz will debut on ABC Family on Tuesday, 11/26 at 7 PM.
The synopsis from IMDB.com reads:
“A former bounty hunter turns into an elementary schoolteacher. Determined to have a normal life and keep her bounty hunter past a secret, she reluctantly returns home for Christmas to help save the family business by catching the one bounty that got away. But when her fiancé follows her home for the holiday, she struggles to hide her wild family business and a bounty hunter ex-boyfriend [The Miz] she thought she’d left behind.”
Originally, the plan was to promote a singles match between Bray Wyatt and The Miz for the WWE Hell In A Cell pay-per-view on October 27th. Due to Wyatt’s recent calf injury, those plans might be pushed back to the November Survivor Series pay-per-view.
The talk backstage in the company is that if Wyatt is not medically cleared for an in-ring return in time for a match at the Hell In A Cell show, WWE will work around the injury by having Wyatt stalk and torment Miz as a way to extend the build to the match until Wyatt can physically compete.
– On this week’s edition of The JBL & Cole Show, Goldust has a “creepy interaction” with Hornswoggle. Plus, John “Bradshaw” Layfield, Michael Cole and Renee Young tour Niagara Falls while discussing some of WWE’s “greatest falls,” and Wade Barrett sends a message to fans.
– The Miz will appear in the ABC Family original action-comedy movie Christmas Bounty, premiering on Tuesday, November 26 at 7:00 p.m., as part of its annual “Countdown to 25 Days of Christmas.” The cable network issued a press release Friday offering details on the flick.
It states, “Former bounty hunter turned Elementary school teacher Tory Bell (Raisa) was ready for a new life when she left the family business behind and moved to Manhattan. But when an old enemy is released from jail and vows retribution on Tory and her loved ones, she returns to New Jersey to take care of him once and for all. When Tory’s upper-class fiancé, James, follows her home for Christmas, she tries to keep her bounty hunting ways a secret, but the plan backfires when James unwittingly becomes involved in the Bells’ mission. Further complicating matters, Tory must work closely with her ex-boyfriend, Mike (Mizanin) to bring down their target and keep James out of certain danger. But as Tory becomes further entrenched in her old life, she finds herself torn between whom she once was and her plans for the future. – The official WWE website has issued a poll asking fans which Shield member they would most like to see Big Show KO Punch. With over 6,000 votes cast thus far, Roman Reigns is the most hated member of the nefarious group as he is currently leading the poll at 52%. He is trailed by Dean Ambrose (35%) and Seth Rollins (13%).
– WWE.com reports that both CM Punk and The Miz were injured at Monday’s RAW from Chicago.
The story notes that Miz suffered some bruising around the jawbone after getting hit by Big Show’s knockout punch.
WWE Dr. Chris Amann also said that CM Punk suffered “multiple bruises and scrapes” on his back after Ryback slammed him through a table. The storyline-driven article says Punk was advised to get additional treatment and X-rays, but he refused.

The official WWE website recently ran an article playing up The Miz’s injuries sustained from the attack by Randy Orton on Monday’s edition of WWE RAW.
“Based on the placement of the chair and the force by Randy Orton, Miz has a preliminary diagnosis of an upper thoracic injury,” WWE physician Dr. Chris Amann told WWE.com.
“He has a bruised breastbone and bruised collarbone, he has difficulty moving his neck and arm and signs of a pinched nerve. We’re doing further tests on him right now and we should have more information after those tests are completed.”
The article did not state when The Miz would return to television after recovering from his “injury,” however they did claim they will update fans when more information becomes available.

The next film release from WWE Studios will be the “Christmas Bounty” film, which stars WWE Superstar and the host of Sunday’s SummerSlam pay-per-view, The Miz.

Burbank, CA (April 11, 2013) – WWE Studios (NYSE:WWE) and ABC Family began production this week on “Christmas Bounty,” a television movie that will world premiere during the network’s popular annual 25 Days of Christmas programming event. Network star Francia Raisa (“The Secret Life of the American Teenager”) joins the cast as Tory, opposite WWE Superstar Mike “The Miz” Mizanin. Will Greenburg (“Modern Family,” “The Office”) and Chelan Simmons (“The L.A. Complex”) will also star.
“Christmas Bounty” is an action-filled comedy about Tory (Raisa), a former bounty hunter turned elementary school teacher. Determined to have a normal life with her new fiancé, James (Greenburg), Tory would love to keep her bounty hunter past a secret. She reluctantly returns home for Christmas when a past bounty comes back for revenge. But when James follows her home for the holiday, she struggles to hide her wild family business and Mike (Mizanin), the bounty hunter ex-boyfriend she thought she’d left behind. Simmons plays Liz, Tory’s best friend who can’t quite understand why Tory would want to keep her past a secret. -Brooke Orndorff, the granddaughter of WWE Hall Of Famer “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff was arrested in Fayetteville, North Carolina on Tuesday and charged with robbery and battery. The arrest was the result of an incident that happened on August 3rd. Brooke’s father, Paul Orndorff III, was also arrested and charged with being party to robbery, party to battery and two counts of financial identity fraud. -WWE has posted a “web exclusive” SummerSlam preview on their official YouTube channel. The video description reads: “The Miz takes a stroll backstage and gets ready to host “The Biggest Party of the Summer” with other WWE Superstars such as Dolph Ziggler, Zack Ryder, and The Prime Time Players.”
According to reports, the reason WWE selected The Miz as the official host for this year’s SummerSlam is because he is seen as the top social media representative by the company. WWE is looking to make a big social media push for this year’s summer classic, thus, Miz was tapped as the host of the show.
Miz will be using Google Glass during the SummerSlam pay-per-view.. Google Glass is a computer linked up to a pair of glasses that transmits photos and videos through social media platforms.
WWE V.P. Perkins Miller spoke to the folks at the Mashable.com website, saying, “We can use social media as the glue that connects all of these things for our fans who can’t be in Los Angeles as well as the fans who are there. It creates a unified experience we weren’t able to have before.”
In addition to those duties, Miz will also be representing WWE for the Playstation launch of a live-event streaming App. SummerSlam can be ordered via the Playstation Network, providing another outlet for fans to watch the pay-per-view.
