Angry Miz Girl Reacts To The Miz Winning WWE Championship

Almost 10 years ago The Miz won the WWE Championship for the first time by cashing in his Money In The Bank briefcase. Mike Mizanin appeared on the November 22nd episode of Monday Night RAW; then cashed-in on then Champion Randy Orton to win the title for the very first time.

One of the organic moments from the cash-in was the reaction from a young fan in the crowd. That young fan was dubbed ‘Angry Miz Girl’ and became a meme for some time. The young fan even won a Slammy for fan reaction of the year.

The Miz on Angry Miz Girl

Mike Mizanin cashed-in once again last night at the Elimination Chamber PPV and became the WWE Champion, once again.

Sportskeeda spoke to Angry Miz Girl after the Elimination Chamber PPV to get her reaction on the situation. “I personally think he’s [The Miz] one of the best on the roster” Caley/Angry Miz Girl stated. “I know it’s a big change from my opinion 10 years ago; but I love him when he’s a heel champion. I think he’s got the personality for it down to a T.”

Caley also noted “I loved meeting The Miz and he was always super kind to me and he worked super hard, so I definitely think he deserves it.”

Check out the reaction from the new WWE Champion below:

The Miz Makes History By Becoming First 2-Time Grand Slam Champion

The Miz shocked wrestling fans on Sunday’s WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract on Drew McIntyre and walking out of the show as the new WWE Champion.

The Miz didn’t do it on his own, however, as he had some extra help from The Hurt Business’ Bobby Lashley. After Drew McIntyre successfully defended his title in the Elimination Chamber match, Lashley came out to the ring and battered McIntyre and left him beaten down, for The Miz to swoop in and cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase.

By becoming WWE Champion for the second time, The Miz has actually created history and set a special record. By winning the title at Sunday, The Miz has become the first 2-time WWE Grand Slam Champion.

The distinction of Grand Slam Champion is given to a wrestler who is able to win a primary championship — either the WWE Championship or the Universal title, two secondary championship wins which includes the Intercontinental Championship and the United States Championship, and either brand’s Tag Team Championship.

So far, The Miz is the only competitor who has been able to achieve the feat of winning all the titles twice in a cycle — making him the first 2-time WWE Grand Slam Champion.

Speaking on his title win after the event, The Miz said, “Understand that I told you so, whenever someone says I wasn’t thinking on their level, I am a master strategist, I think further than anybody else in all of WWE.

I didn’t just take respect, I demanded it through all the WWE Universe, and I couldn’t care less if everybody’s on the internet going, ‘No, Miz doesn’t deserve it, oh Miz shouldn’t be WWE Champion!'”

The Miz won the WWE Championship back in 2010, and that time too he won the title by cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase against Randy Orton.

Bobby Lashley’s Attack On Drew McIntyre Was Part Of “Business”

Bobby Lashley revealed the reasoning behind his actions on Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event where he viciously attacked Drew McIntyre after his match.

Drew McIntyre emerged the winner at Sunday’s WWE Elimination Chamber show, surviving in the hellish structure and coming out of it as the triumphant winner. The celebrations of victory were suddenly put on hold, however, as Bobby Lashley came out and hit McIntyre with a spear. Lashley issued a proper beatdown on McIntyre as suddenly The Miz’s came out to the ring with along with his Money in the Bank briefcase.

By this time, Lashley was already done attacking McIntyre, and was out of the ring. As The Miz approached towards the ringside, the two exchanged looks before the former WWE Champion made his way inside the ring.

The Miz then promptly hit a Skull Crushing Finale to end McIntyre’s reign and become a two-time WWE Champion.

Soon after, Bobby Lashley sent out a message via Twitter explaining his actions. He succinctly wrote, “Business… #WWE Chamber.”

Prior to The Miz cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase and winning the WWE Championship, he was seen backstage talking to the MVP in a backstage segment earlier during the show. While they were talking about wasn’t audible, it’s being speculated that The Miz struck a deal with The Hurt Business to weaken Drew McIntyre so he could cash in his briefcase.

This could mean that The Miz would let Bobby Lashley take a shot at his title as part of the deal. It would be interesting to see how the story goes on from here – whether the angle will be played out at the upcoming Fastlane event or it would go to till WrestleMania.

The Miz Reacts To WWE Championship Win at Elimination Chamber

The Miz made history during tonight’s Elimination Chamber event by cashing in his Money In The Bank contract and becoming the new WWE Champion.

WWE’s cameras caught up with the new champion after the event went off air. Sarah Schreiber tried to interview the A-Lister but he dismissed her quickly and then addressed the WWE fans.

The Miz first claimed that he is a master strategist who thinks further than anybody else in all of WWE and he doesn’t care what the people on the internet think:

“Understand that I told you so, whenever someone says I wasn’t thinking on their level, I am a master strategist, I think further than anybody else in all of WWE.

I didn’t just take respect, I demanded it through all the WWE Universe, and I could care less if everybody’s on the internet going, ‘No, Miz doesn’t deserve it, oh Miz shouldn’t be WWE Champion!’”

The Miz then mentioned the Angry Miz Girl and said that he prays that there are millions of Angry Miz Girls who are sobbing and wishing that Drew McIntyre was still their WWE champion.

The WWE Champion ended his promo saying that we will see him at WrestleMania or at Raw, wherever he wants because he is the champion and he does whatever he wants:

The Miz Wins WWE Championship At Elimination Chamber

Drew McIntyre walked in the Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida as WWE Champion, but it was The Miz who shocked the fans.

McIntyre made his latest title defense against Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, AJ Styles, Kofi Kingston, and Sheamus in the Elimination Chamber Match at the gimmick-themed pay-per-view event.

The entrant’s list was: Hardy, Orton, McIntyre, Kingston, Styles, and Sheamus.

The eliminations were: Kingston rolling up Orton, Sheamus connected with the Brogue Kick to Kingston, McIntyre hit a Claymore Kick to Hardy, Styles took Sheamus with the Phenomenal Forearm, and McIntyre won with the Claymore Kick to Styles.

Kingston wasn’t originally in the match, but rather The Miz had that spot. However, after an angle on last week’s episode of Raw, The Miz removed himself from the contest after being headbutted by McIntyre. Later in the show, Kingston beat Miz in a singles match to earn his way into the contest.

McIntyre and Sheamus have been feuding as of late after Sheamus turned heel by attacking his real-life good friend.

After the Elimination Chamber Match, Lashley speared McIntyre before beating him down. This led to The Miz coming out to the ring and cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase. As the match started, Miz hit a DDT to McIntyre. Miz followed up with the Skull Crushing Finale for the win. He’s the NEW WWE Champion. This is the second time that he’s done this as he first did a decade ago.

The Miz Removes Himself From Elimination Chamber Match, Replacement Revealed

The current Mr Money In The Bank The Miz has removed himself from the upcoming Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship this Sunday.

The A Lister was originally announced as a contestant for the match last week. However, he met with Adam Pearce in a backstage segment on this week’s Raw and said that he wanted to give up his spot ‘for a younger talent.’

The Miz then suggested the name of John Morrison for the spot but Kofi Kingston also wanted an opportunity for the same and Pearce ended up booking a match between the two to determine who gets the chance.

The New Day member ended up winning this bout after hitting a Trouble In Paradise and earned the spot for himself at the PPV event this Sunday. After the latest changes, here is the updated Elimination Chamber match card:

Updated Elimination Chamber Match Card:

  • Elimination Chamber Match for WWE Championship: Kofi Kingston vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton vs. Sheamus vs. AJ Styles vs. Drew McIntyre (c)

The Miz: ‘I Don’t Get The Respect I Feel I Deserve’

Despite all of his accomplishments and championship accolades in WWE, The Miz still feels disrespected by wrestling fans. Miz opened up about his feelings during a recent interview with Barstool Sports’ KFC Radio, where he revealed he doesn’t “get the respect” he feels he deserves.

“Even in WWE, sometimes I feel I don’t get the respect I feel like I want, maybe that I feel I deserve,” Miz said. “I’ve won every title there is to win, but yet sometimes I feel like — you know, you’ll read Twitter here and there and you’ll see all the negative comments. ‘You don’t deserve to be there, we hate you, you’re the worst.'”

The Miz then revealed that, although he sees the negative comments aimed at him, he uses them to drive him. He argued how the kind of person taking the time to embrace such negativity is probably “[…] some nerd in his basement just typing away. So, I use it as fuel.”

With Tucker’s unexpected assistance, The Miz defeated Otis at WWE’s Hell in a Cell event in October. His victory granted him the Money in the Bank contract, ensuring The Miz a future WWE Championship opportunity against a champion of his choice.

The Miz Reflects On Losing Main Event Momentum Following WrestleMania XXVII

The Miz has opened up about losing his main event push back in 2011 following WrestleMania XXVII. He addressed the lost momentum during an interview with Busted Open Radio

Miz confessed he felt his momentum shift following his victory over John Cena at WrestleMania XXVII. He pointed to how “creative changed in the background.”

He believes this change-up within the creative team stymied his main event run.

“Whenever you hear about heads leaving, and then another head coming in to kind of, you know — obviously Vince runs the entire thing,” Miz stated. “But there are different, I guess you can say creative people, that are different writers that when you have a head leave, and then another head comes in, he’ll have his guys.

He admitted that when he eventually lost the WWE Championship to Cena, there was a “role shift” in the writing process.

At that point, he claimed could see what was going to happen. According to Miz, he foresaw that he was going to be utilized to develop new talent:

“I was just utilized for the past, I don’t know, year to make me, to get me to where I am. Now it’s time to make other people. And I didn’t have the wherewithal to make sure that I was being made as well. And I didn’t have the experience, and I think it took me a little while.”

The Miz On Having To Rebuilt

The Miz also addressed how being drafted to RAW further damaged his momentum. He explained how when a Superstar is drafted, it “changes your career, like it changes everything.”

Miz then recalled being on SmackDown, “primed up and ready for the WWE Championship.”

At the time, he was in the Intercontinental Championship scene. He believes the Intercontinental Championship was “more talked about than any other title in WWE.” This built his confidence, leading him to believe he was heading directly to the WWE Championship.

“And then I got drafted to Raw, and once I got drafted to Raw I felt like I went from here, and I had to build myself back up,” Miz said. “[…] I was able to do that, and I did it once again. And once I felt like I was ready and primed up for the WWE Championship again, I got drafted again. And it just — it keeps going back and forth, and you have to build yourself up.”

The Miz acknowledged how not every Superstar faces that challenge. He explained how some are forever positioned in a main event slot and can be easily drafted without losing status and momentum. He admitted that this didn’t apply to him. Instead, he had to be re-developed and actively build himself up again with each subsequent brand change.

The Miz on His Father’s Viral Success: “His 15 Minutes of Fame Is My 15 Minutes of Hell”

WWE Superstar The Miz recently appeared on SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio show. The ‘Awesome’ SmackDown Superstar would answer a number of topics from his time with WWE as well as his new role as the host of Cannonball.

With The Miz now hosting USA Network’s Cannonball show it gave him the opportunity to land the cover of TV Guide. Miz discussed how special it was to land that spot on the iconic infozine. “It only took me 20 years to get back on it!” The Miz began on Busted Open.

The Miz on TV Guide

“The last time I was on the cover of TV Guide? It was for The Real World Back To New York. That was back in like 2000. So, to be able to grace the cover once again of TV Guide? I grew up waiting for the Sunday paper to get my TV Guide to circle the shows that I want to watch for the week.”

“We didn’t have the luxuries that the kids have these days” The Miz continued. “We had to wait for the paper to come in so you get your TV Guide to circle all the shows. Like we didn’t have recording. Like our version of recording was getting a VCR, putting a tape in the VCR and pressing record.”

The Miz would then talk about his 15 year stint with the WWE. “I’m very fortunate for all the things that I’ve been able to do. From being a WWE Superstar on SmackDown? I mean I’m six foot nothing, 200 like 200 pounds of just nothing. And yet here I am today, 15 years in the business. I’ve held every major title WWE has, [as well as having my own] reality show Miz and Mrs.”

WrestleMania Moment

Mike Mizanin would then discuss the appearances of his father on WWE television. The biggest moment for ‘Mr Miz’ came at WrestleMania when he entered the ring and stood up to Shane McMahon. “It really warms my heart when my dad, even though it gets really annoying, tells me how famous he is. How at WrestleMania in MetLife Stadium when he got inside the ring with Shane McMahon and put his dukes up. He became a meme! He went viral and became like the biggest story of WrestleMania.”

“You know his 15 minutes of fame is my 15 minutes of hell” Miz continued. “Because now? He was able to take two seconds inside a ring, and make it something. I’ve been there for 15 years and I haven’t went viral like he has!?”

WWE Superstars Reportedly Not Aware Who The SmackDown Hacker Is

WWE Superstar Mandy Rose recently appeared on the Gorilla Position podcast. The SmackDown Superstar would discuss a number of topics from her recent career with the company. These would include the red-hot storyline involving her and Otis, Becky Lynch now leaving the company and what it is like pitching directly to Vince McMahon.

One of the points raised was the SmackDown Hacker, a character that has been a recurring part of the blue brand over the past few months.

Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville

The first major plot point that the Hacker revealed was that Sonya Deville had betrayed Mandy Rose, thus leading to their eventual feud and the continuation of the Mandy/Otis storyline. With the Hacker being such an important part of said storyline many believed that it would be someone linked to the aforementioned Superstars…but it isn’t that clear.

The SmackDown Hacker appears to be targeting a number of Superstars on the Friday Night show. Interestingly, Mandy Rose and at least one other SmackDown Superstar have no idea who the person is behind the Hacker gimmick.

“My prediction? To be honest, I have no idea” Mandy Rose revealed on Gorilla Position, confirming that she has no clue who the mystery Hacker is. “But the voice sounds very…actually it’s funny.”

Maryse?

Mandy Rose would then talk about who she feels the actual cadence and tone of the Hacker sounds like. “The Miz was walking by the other day and he thinks the voice sounds like Maryse. I was like ‘wow I didn’t think of that!’ Like ‘oh my god is it Maryse!? I know you’re like joking but, um, it kind of does!’ I’m kind of happy I’m not gonna lie, because it exposed Sonia and Dolph [Ziggler]. But no I have no idea. I do not know who the hacker is.”

We’ve seen this sort of storyline play out in WWE in the few decades, and there’s always a chance that the company themselves are not sure who to use in that Hacker position right now. There has been speculation that CM Punk is behind the gimmick, but he continues to deny any involvement with WWE beyond his role on WWE Backstage.

The Miz Compares ‘Miz & Mrs’ To Seinfeld, Curb & The Office

WWE Superstars The Miz and Maryse appeared on this week’s episode of WWE’s The Bump. The former SmackDown Tag Team Champion Miz appeared on the WWE Network show to discuss a number of topics from his recent career, including the success of USA Network’s ‘Miz & Mrs.’

The Miz would be asked on the show how his fan reception has changed; now that the WWE Universe gets to see a different side to him thanks to the reality show format.

“Hundred percent” Miz revealed, discussing how fan reception has changed. “I think Miz and Mrs more than anything else? I think obviously being in WWE for 15 years when people thought that I was going to be out in three months, I think says a lot about my dedication, my heart and my work ethic in WWE.”

The Miz would elaborate further, talking about his past in the reality TV space. Specifically, MTV’s The Real World, which helped get Mike Mizanin get noticed by WWE.

“I think Miz and Mrs, seeing our family together? Me as a father, Maryse as a mom? It’s one of those shows that…I wasn’t sure at first if I would like doing it. I mean, I loved doing The Real World, but that was when I was in my 20s. Now I’m a grown man, and I have a family.”

Miz & Mrs

Miz would then go into the format of the show, and how it caters to a wider audience. “Once we set out to do the show, we didn’t hold anything back. And it’s a show that you can watch with your entire family and literally just sit back, escape your reality, whatever is going on in your life, and just enter ours and laugh.”

In terms of holding nothing back, Miz would then claim that he looks at the show in the same vein as some sitcom greats. “Because that’s what it is, it’s an absolute comedy, it’s a sitcom. We kind of look at it as Curb Your Enthusiasm meets The Office, meets Seinfeld, meets The Real World. It combined all those together and that’s kind of what you get.”

Freddie Prinze Jr Talks ‘Promo Class Showdown’ With The Miz In WWE

Former WWE writer and actor Freddie Prinze Jr recently revealed that he had a ‘run in’ with The Miz during his time in WWE. Although apparently fairly light-hearted, Miz did not appear to be too pleased that Prinze Jr was brought in by WWE to give ‘acting lessons’ to the talent back at the start of last decade. Prinze Jr would discuss the situation and the context during this week’s episode of The New Day: Feel The Power podcast.

Acting Class

“It like 60% and it was mainly like the younger roster that were hyped” Prinze Jr began, discussing the ‘acting classes’ he was instructed by Vince McMahon to give backstage. “40% were like, ‘no chance.’ And I mean it was just they were not having it. The first promo class we did I remember Miz, who was doing his own thing and doing well with Morrison. They had the Dirt Sheet and I think..I don’t know if they had the [tag team] titles yet? But they were kind of doing their thing.”

Improv Technique

Prinze Jr would then go into the ‘improv’ technique to led to the ‘run in’. “We were going to do an exercise called repetition, where you’re locked into whatever I say. It’s like an improv technique. So I’d say to Big E for example ‘that’s the biggest Hawkeye shirt I’ve ever seen!’ And then Big E’s locked into that verbiage, so he goes ‘this is the biggest Hawkeye shirt you’ve ever seen!?’ It goes back and forth. When it’s two guys? That always gets almost physical. And then if it’s a guy and a girl that always gets like sexy right?”

The former WWE writer then got into how the incident with The Miz unfolded. “And so I said ‘who wants to try it?’ And nobody wanted to try it. But The Miz is like ‘I got it.’ And I’m like ‘alright, this guy’s got guts, he’s coming up. He doesn’t know what he’s in for but he’s stepping up.’ I said ‘I’ll start’ and he goes ‘no, no, I’ll start.'”

Freddie Prinze Jr vs The Miz

“And he goes, here’s the actual sentence, he goes: ‘what the hell are you gonna teach me about acting?’ And everybody, like all the energy in the room was gone. Just like you could feel it, and so I looked at him and just kind of cocked my eyes. I said ‘what the hell am I going to teach you about acting?’ Eventually he changed the verbiage which means you lose right? He tapped out. I remember saying this I said ‘look man I know I’m not Robert Downey Jr. But Robert Downey Jr don’t give a damn about you, I do.”

The Miz of course has gone on to have acting stints throughout his career, notably with The Marine series. It is interesting though that he would go right up against someone who Vince McMahon fired specifically to help talent.

The Miz Talks About Wrestling In Front Of Zero Fans

SmackDown Superstar The Miz has opened up about his experiences wrestling in front of zero fans. WWE’s resident “A-Lister” broached the subject during a recent interview on Logan Paul’s podcast.

The Miz shared how talent has to find a different way to “get the adrenaline and utilize it.” He compared the recent empty arena matches to the muted, respectful crowd reactions in Japan. Miz explained how Superstars know how the Japanese audience were intently watching everything that happened in the ring. He added how they were always invested in the action, despite the lack of noise or interaction. He talked about how he takes the same approach with zero fan shows, visualizing the fans at home.

“I’m just picturing the people at home being invested in everything that we’re doing,” Miz said. “So every little maneuver counts. So it’s actually making me a better performer in the ring for sure.”

He acknowledged how everyone in WWE is pushing even harder in the ring during this time. The Miz believes this hard work will continue, even when the WWE Universe is finally able to attend live shows in the future.

Miz argued how everything that WWE does is different, and that’s what makes them an out the box wrestling promotion. He explained how they utilize everything, before reflecting on the lessons learned from the process and how they can best use it in the future.

Title Match At WrestleMania 36 Reportedly Changed, Another Star Pulled

In the past 24 hours, news of several changes made to the WrestleMania 36 card has surfaced online.

The coronavirus epidemic has forced the company to change things up with their biggest event of the year despite their efforts to do the show they initially wanted this week.

On Friday, it was reported that The Miz had been pulled from the show due to illness which impacted what WWE had planned for Miz and John Morrison at WrestleMania 36 in their latest title defense of the SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

Miz and Morrison were supposed to defend the titles against the winners of New Day vs. The Usos on Friday Night SmackDown. Dave Meltzer is reporting that Morrison will face one of the Usos in a ladder match instead at WrestleMania 36.

Also, despite it being reported elsewhere, Asuka and Cesaro both worked WrestleMania with no health issues. For those who are wondering, Edge vs. Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing match was successfully taped this week.

Finally, PWInsider reported that Buddy Murphy was indeed sick and didn’t come to any TV tapings this week including WrestleMania 36. It was noted by Meltzer that no one sick was allowed around even if they had a cough or a stuffy nose at the tapings.

The changes started earlier this week when news broke earlier this week that Rey Mysterio and Dana Brooke were off the plans for the show due to self quarantining.

Then, it was reported that Roman Reigns had decided to not work his scheduled match against WWE Universal Champion Bill Goldberg despite being in the building when the show was taped.

John Morrison & The Miz Retain SmackDown Tag Team Titles At Elimination Chamber

John Morrison and The Miz will stay on top of the SmackDown Tag Team division despite a difficult match against a ton of challenges.

They made their latest defense at Sunday’s (March 8, 2020) WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the Wells Fargo Center on the WWE Network.

They did so when they battled The New Day, The Usos, Robert Roode & Dolph Ziggler, Heavy Machinery, and Lucha House Party inside of the Elimination Chamber structure.

This comes after Morrison and The Miz beat The New Day (Big E and Kofi Kingston) to win the titles at the WWE Super ShowDown pay-per-view event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at the King Fahd International Stadium earlier this month.

WWE presents the WrestleMania 36 pay-per-view event on Sunday, April 5, 2020 in Tampa, Florida at the Raymond James Stadium that will air on the WWE Network.

As of this writing, there’s no word yet on who will challenge Morrison and Miz for the straps at this show.

What are your thoughts on John Morrison and The Miz retaining the Smackdown Tag Team Titles? Was this the right call by WWE officials? Sound off in the comment section.

The Miz Says He’ll “Quit” If He Doesn’t Main Event WrestleMania 37

WWE Superstar The Miz has said he will quit WWE if he isn’t in the main event at next year’s WrestleMania. WrestleMania 37 was recently announced to be taking place at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on March 28th, 2021. Inglewood is in the Los Angeles metro area. As WWE intends to lean into the Hollywood theme for the show, The Miz is unsurprisingly interested in having a starring role.

Miz Wants The Main Event

Miz, known in WWE as “The A-Lister” shared his intentions via his Instagram account, where he wrote:

“Wrestlemania is going Hollywood next year. If I don’t Main Event…I quit. #Wrestlemania37 #MiztleMania #AwesomeFanArt by @stunner.designs

Miz uploaded a picture of himself looking over his sunglasses with the WrestleMania 37 “Hollywood” graphic along the bottom of the image as he stands in front of a version of the iconic Hollywood sign.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B8cchqip4JQ/?utm_source=ig_embed

It didn’t take long for another WWE Superstar to see Miz’s post and add their two cents. In this case, it was “The Showoff” Dolph Ziggler, who replied “Yes!!!! Finally!!! (The quitting)” For what it’s worth, The Miz and Ziggler have known each other for a long time and frequently joke and respond to each other’s social media messages.

Despite the location reveal of WrestleMania 37, WWE has yet to host this April’s WrestleMania 36. The show takes place on April 5th from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

John Morrison Says He Had His Best Night In 8 Years On SmackDown

In the opening segment of the January 10 edition of SmackDown, John Morrison made his appearance on his former tag team partner The Miz’s MizTV segment. He insulted the audience for booing The Miz, establishing himself as a heel.

The two found themselves in a confrontation with SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day. John Morrison helped The Miz win his match against Kofi Kingston in a rematch from last week’s episode. Morrison took out Big E at ringside which was enough to help Miz win.

A singles match between Morrison and Big E was later announced, which will take place on next week’s SmackDown in Greensboro.

After the match, in a backstage interview, Kayla Braxton talked to Miz and Morrison and mentioned how Morrison’s return was advantageous to him.

“I mean, honestly like – I just cannot believe he’s back,” Miz said of Morrison’s return.

They then joked around and compared their abs after which Kayla asked Morrison how he felt to be out there in front of the WWE Universe after eight years. Morrison said that it was his best night in those eight years.

“Eight years… I mean this has gotta be the best night in eight years that they have ever had. No just kidding. Honestly, that I have ever had. I am joking around a lot but really it touches your heart to be out there under the light. To be out there with The Miz, with Mike. To be out there with everybody. It’s cliche to say it feels like home but it feels like home,” Morrison said describing his return to the company.

“You know it’s funny like, coming back from like, God it was what? 2007, 2008, 2009?” Miz reminisced about his past with John Morrison. “Those years were some of the best years of our lives, like we grew up in this business together, elevating one another to get better, to be better, and now we’re back again. So all I can say to everyone out there in WWE is: be jealous!”

The Miz On What Motivates Him, Who He Thinks Is Top Talent

WWE Superstar The Miz was a guest on this week’s episode of FS1’s WWE Backstage. He joined hosts Renee Young, Christian, Paige and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T. During the interview, Miz spoke about his continuous drive to be at the top of WWE. He also mentioned who he believes could be a top talent for the company.

The Miz On Wanting To Be “The Face” Of WWE

The Miz noted how he was not heavily featured in a string of recent SmackDown commercials. He explained how things like this fire him up to want to do better and work even harder: “I know I’m not the most talented guy,” Miz said. “I know I’m not, but I guarantee I will work harder than the most talented guy and my talents will shine through my hard work.”

He then reflected on what motivates him as a WWE Superstar. Miz admitted his ambition remains to be the “face” of WWE and compete for WWE’s “major” championships.

“What motivates me? What doesn’t motivate me? I think as a WWE Superstar, you’re always wanting to be the best. Whenever I see any type of NFL promotion of WWE SmackDown and I’m not the face, and I see Roman there…Granted, I love Roman Reigns, I think he does a tremendous job, but I want to be the face of WWE. Whether it’s SmackDown, whether it’s RAW, I want to be that guy.”

He continued, “I want to hold the major championships: the WWE Championship, the Universal Championship. There’s just something that thrives in me, and I think there’s a certain mentality that people have—that you need to have—in order to do that.”

Top Tier Talent And Entertaining Segments

When the conversation turned to who could become a solid main event player, Miz was succinct with his response, naming the recently returned Elias as his one to watch. He also shared that he enjoys watching fellow SmackDown Superstars Otis and Mandy Rose, claiming that his segments are his favorite thing on WWE TV at this point in time.

Miz also cut a promo during his time on WWE Backstage where he apparently took a jab at CM Punk. It didn’t take long for Punk to respond.

CM Punk Blasts The Miz Over WWE Backstage Remarks

It looks like CM Punk wasn’t very happy with some remarks from the Miz made during the latest episode of WWE Backstage. The self proclaimed ‘Best In The World; blasted the A-Lister over his comments on the show in his latest ‘pipe bomb’ attack.

The Miz was the special guest on the WWE series this week and he cut a promo on his appearance while talking to the camera as the filming for the show was wrapping up.

However interestingly, towards the end of the promo, the former World Champion apparently took a shot at CM Punk after asking Renee Young if there was any better episode of WWE Backstage:

“Oh yeah, we are now done with WWE Backstage, they are taking the microphones off me. It was great, it was amazing. I feel like this was the best WWE Backstage episode ever. Oh, sorry. I didn’t ‘change the culture,’ my bad. my bad.”

The WWE on Fox twitter account later posted a clip of this promo on Twitter. CM Punk responded to it with a tweet of his own and in the response which has since been deleted, he told the WWE star to “go suck a blood money covered d**k in Saudi Arabia”:

CM Punk blasted The Miz

Though this tweet wasn’t online for very long and it seems that the WWE on Fox account has taken down their post featuring the video of the promo as well.

For those who don’t know, CM Punk made a surprise appearance on WWE Backstage during the closing moments of the November 12th episode last year.

He cut a short promo during the appearance saying “It’s as simple as this, just when they think they’ve got the answers, I change the culture.”

There have been no response from any other guests of WWE Backstage on the matter and it would be interesting to know what Fox officials think about Punk’s comments.

As expected, Bray Wyatt was victorious at the final PPV event of the year, TLC

Wyatt beat The Miz at Sunday’s WWE TLC pay-per-view event. In this match, Wyatt portrayed his normal character that is usually shown in the Firefly Funhouse segments instead of his alter ego, The Fiend.

After the match, The Fiend appeared on the screen and Wyatt agreed to bring out the giant mallet. Daniel Bryan, dressed in a hoodie, hit his finisher to Wyatt with a new look as he cut his hair. Bryan was going to hit Wyatt with the mallet but the lights went out and Wyatt was gone.

Wyatt was expected to have a rematch with Bryan at this show after Wyatt beat Brayn in a championship match at the WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view event last month.

However, WWE wrote Bryan off of television when Wyatt attacked Bryan. This led to The Miz stepping up to the task of being the next in line to challenge Wyatt for the title as well as get revenge on Wyatt for Bryan.

Miz was originally slated to work with Wyatt at Survivor Series but plans changed with Bryan in that spot instead.

Two weeks ago on SmackDown, Wyatt attacked Miz in a backstage segment and wasn’t dressed up as The Fiend.

Paige And The Miz Sign New Multi-Year Contract With WWE

Former World Champion Randy Orton recently confirmed that he has re-signed with WWE and now 2 more stars have been confirmed to have signed a contract extension with the company.

The company announced on the latest episode of WWE Backstage that the former WWE Champion The Miz and former Divas Champion Paige have both agreed to new multi-year deals with the promotion:

The Miz reacted to this news on Twitter after the show went off air saying that WWE has been his home for the last 15 years and it will continue to be so for years to come:

While neither the announcement nor the superstars themselves have revealed the length of their new contract, Randy Orton did mention that he will be staying with WWE for the next 5 years atleast.

Since the company is also looking to sign wrestlers to longer contracts, it’s not hard to assume that both these stars’ contract is similar to Orton’s new deal in length.

Though this wasn’t the only big news coming out of the WWE Backstage special and probably the biggest surprise of this week came during the closing moments of the show when CM Punk made a surprise appearance at the episode.

The Miz On If He Is Re-evaluating His Career

The Miz was already a busy star but with his new reality show Miz and Mrs and the added responsibility of two daughters, the former World Champion now really has his hands full.

During a recent interview with Metro.co.uk, the former Champion talked about a number of things and revealed if he is planning to slow down anytime soon.

The Miz was asked if he is re-evaluating his career now that he has to take care of his daughters as well but the A-Lister responded negatively, saying that he loves working:

“No, I’m working as hard as I possibly can to make sure my two daughters – as well as my wife and myself – get to lead the life that we love to lead. And I love working, I really do. It makes me happy, it makes my wife happy, and as long as my family’s happy, that’s all that matters.”

The Miz also discussed how being a father has changed his life, saying that he misses his daughters all the time when he is on the road and not with them.

The former IC Champion then revealed that his elder daughter Monroe likes watching WWE because she loves the colors and there are a lot of things for her eyes to see.

Apart from this, The Miz also talked about learning nursery rhymes, how he loves to hold his daughters and more. You can check out his full interview at this link.

Shinsuke Nakamura Retains Intercontinental Title At WWE Clash Of Champions

Shinsuke Nakamura will push forward as he wasn’t dethroned by The Miz, who isn’t back on top of the secondary title division as WWE Intercontinental Champion.

As seen at Sunday’s (September 15, 2019) WWE Clash of Champions pay-per-view event in Charlotte, North Carolina at the Spectrum Center on the WWE Network, Nakamura beat The Miz to retain the title thanks to outside interference by Sami Zayn.

Nakamura’s time as champion hasn’t lasted long as he won the secondary title on the Smackdown roster when he pinned Finn Balor for the shocking win on the WWE Extreme Rules pre-show back in July.

While WWE could continue this feud, it’s not likely considering the company didn’t do much with Nakakuma as champion on television.

WWE Clash Of Champions Results (9/15)

There was speculation that the company could put the title back on The Miz due to to the current record holder no longer being under contract with the company. But that wasn’t the case.

Chris Jericho had the most reigns with nine but is now tied with Miz. Jericho split with the WWE as he signed with AEW (All Elite Wrestling). WWE typically likes for talent that they are in good standing with to be a record holder.

Thus, this was the reason as to why fans had speculated that WWE could put the title put on The Miz.

The Miz Promises To Make A “Moment” This Sunday At Clash Of Champions

The Miz has promised his Clash of Champions opponent, Shinsuke Nakamura, that he will create a memorable “moment” this Sunday after he defeats him and becomes a nine-time Intercontinental Champion.

Miz spoke backstage with WWE.com after being blindsided by Shinsuke Nakamura. The attack followed his victory over Andrade this past Tuesday on SmackDown.

“You know, WWE being here at Madison Square Garden, it’s all about moments. Creating moments that people will remember for a lifetime. That’s what we do as WWE Superstars, and that’s what you do as a champion,” he said.

He continued, “How many moments do you remember from Shinsuke Nakamura’s reign as Intercontinental Champion? How many? How many times has he been on TV representing the Intercontinental Championship? How many matches do you remember with Shinsuke Nakamura with the Intercontinental Championship? This is the stuff I got rid of when I was Intercontinental Champion, the type of stuff that I am sick of with the Intercontinental Championship.”

“So this Sunday, I’m gonna create a moment, gonna create a match that Shinsuke Nakamura will remember in WWE for a lifetime when I become the nine-time Intercontinental Champion,” Miz promised. “And it’ll be right in his face, eye-to-eye, not behind his back, and it will be awesome. “

The Miz gets his chance at Nakamura this Sunday at WWE’s Clash of Champions pay-per-view.

Rhea Ripley Names Her WWE Role Model, Talks About Dealing With Criticisms

Former WWE NXT UK Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley has named the Superstar she considers her WWE role model: The Miz.

In an interview with Revolver, Ripley confessed her adoration of The A-Lister, highlighting his snarky attitude as an inspiration.

“I love The Miz! I absolutely love him,” Ripley admitted. “He’s so snarky, and that’s who I want to be. I want to have cool comebacks and get people to listen to me and be invested in me. Even CM Punk — when he spoke, everyone listened.”

This attitude helps fuel her when it comes to facing criticism, especially if it’s about her physique. When it comes to how she deals with this kind of negativity, Ripley named Beth Phoenix as a key inspiration:

“My whole life I’ve had people telling me that I look like a man, I’m not feminine, I’m too masculine, all that stuff,” said Ripley. “Well, you know what? I could not give a shit. Just like I was inspired by [former WWE champion] Beth Phoenix, who also looks very masculine, I want to inspire other potential female athletes to go as hard as they want and feel comfortable in their own skin — that’s why I go out there day after day and do my thing.”

Rhea Ripley recently appeared on NXT, confronting Shayna Baszler, teasing a potential matchup between herself and the NXT Women’s Champion.
