The Miz Names His Dream Opponent

The Miz has revealed who his ultimate dream opponent would be in an interview with The 11th Hour.

WWE’s resident A-Lister has faced several WWE Legends and Hall of Famers throughout his long career. There’s one name, however, that has consistently topped the list: The Ultimate Warrior.

“[…] my dream was always to wrestle Ultimate Warrior, and it just sucks that he passed away… But, man, when I was a kid growing up, I would put streamers on my arms, paint my face and run around like the Ultimate Warrior. So that would be my one dream,” Miz said.

Despite this, Miz admitted that he’s been incredibly lucky to wrestle notable names such as Shawn Michaels, The Rock, and Bret Hart.

“I’ve been able to wrestle a lot of my heroes. I’ve gotten to act and wrestle with Shawn Michaels. I’ve gotten to wrestle Marty Jannetty. I’ve gotten to wrestle The Rock. I’ve wrestled Bret “The Hitman” Hart. I mean, how many people can say that– in this generation– they have had a match and actually lost the United States Championship in Toronto, of all places, to Bret “The Hitman” Hart? So, I mean, it’s pretty incredible.”

The Miz is scheduled to face Shinsuke Nakamura for the Intercontinental Championship at WWE’s Clash of Champions on September 15th.

The Miz Credits John Cena With Teaching Him How To Become A “Main Event Caliber Superstar”

The Miz has credited John Cena for teaching him how to become a main event Superstar.

He gave Cena props during an interview with Hot 94.1 while doing promotional work for WWE.

When asked which Superstar, past of currently active, he had learned the most from, The Miz responded:

“John Cena. Being in the ring with John Cena taught me how to become a main event caliber superstar.”

The two have feuded numerous times over the years. However, The Miz’s most notable victory over Cena saw him successfully retain the WWE Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 27 back in 2011. His win actually came with a major assist from Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who had delivered a Rock Bottom to Cena that Miz capitalized on.

Clash Of Champions

Just last night, The Miz challenged Shinsuke Nakamura to a match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. His challenge brought out Nakamura’s ‘mouthpiece,’ Sami Zayn who insulted Miz, calling him “The King of Soft Style.”

The SmackDown segment ended after Nakamura blind-sided Miz from behind, leading to a beatdown at the hands of the current Intercontinental Champion, ending with an assisted Kinshasa as Zayn held Miz in place.

At this point in time, the challenge has not yet been accepted. If it is, the two will likely compete at WWE’s Clash of Champions event.

The Miz & Maryse Purchase $6.4 Million Californian Mansion

The Miz and Maryse have forked out $6.4 million purchasing a mansion situated in Thousand Oaks, California.

According to a report by Variety.com, the mansion was “sold before processing” earlier this week to the WWE couple.

Described as a “neoclassical English Manor-style house,” the mansion provides 10,400 square feet of living space. It also comes with six bedrooms and nine bathrooms. The previous owners purchased the property just over a year ago in April for precisely $6 million.

Alongside the grandiose space, the gated property includes garage parking for up to eight luxury vehicles, scenic mountain and golf fairway views, and a grand entranceway. That’s before mentioning the nine-seat movie theatre, wood-paneled billiards room, and formal dining room.

The Mizanins paid $2.35 million for their former mansion in Austin, Texas. They sold this property last month for approximately $2.64 million. The couple has also previously owned a home in L.A.’s Laurel Canyon; this “mini-estate” sold for just over $3 million.

The Miz has been enjoying portraying a babyface in recent months. He was involved in a segment this past Tuesday night that helped introduce the new heel alliance between Shinsuke Nakamura and Sami Zayn. There is no further indication at the time of writing as to whom Miz may end up feuding against out of the two.

Both Miz and Maryse also currently star in USA Network’s reality show, Miz & Mrs.

The Miz Talks About SmackDown’s 20th Anniversary Show, Playing A Good Guy

With SmackDown’s FOX debut set for early October, WWE is hyping the event as much as possible.

The company has already released a list of notable names scheduled to appear, and are said to eagerly want Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to feature

In a recent interview with Good Day L.A., The Miz discussed SmackDown’s 20th Anniversary show, which will be the blue brand’s debut show on FOX.

“You have superstars from past, from present, you have RAW and SmackDown, everyone is going to be there,” Miz explained. “We are basically putting on a show that people are going to want to go to. And it’s one of those things where we try to create memories that will last a lifetime, and I think this is one of those shows that people will be talking about for a very long time. Expect the unexpected.”

When asked about portraying a bad guy on WWE programming, Miz opened up about what it’s been like for him to be portraying a good guy.

“I was a bad guy, and then my show Miz & Mrs. came out […] and now I’m a good guy. People cheer me,” he said. “Like, I’m used to people telling me I suck and that I’m a terrible human being, and I enjoy it, it was a compliment for me. Now, I don’t get that anymore. I get applauded and told how awesome I am, so I don’t mind it. I’m kind of enjoying it as of right now, and if people want to cheer me, let it be.”

SmackDown will debut on FOX on October 4th from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

The Miz Talks Being Replaced By Goldberg In SummerSlam Match

The Miz is making the media rounds and did so when he appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday night to promote Miz and Mrs. and SummerSlam.

During the interview, his scheduled but nixed match at the next pay-per-view event under the WWE banner was brought up. While WWE had originally announced Miz would be facing Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam, plans were altered.

This came after Dave Meltzer reported the match was a “red herring” and changes were made. Now, it will be Goldberg vs. Ziggler.

Miz brought up the contract signing on Monday’s episode of RAW and how he tricked Ziggler, who had been talking a lot of smack to Goldberg.

“I thought I’d give the kid a chance. I figured I’ll have so many opportunities at SummerSlam and Goldberg, this might be his last.”

Miz noted that he’ll be at SummerSlam where he promised that he will make an impact. He doesn’t care if its a match, promo or just a small thing. He added, “I guarantee I will be the talk of SummerSlam.”

As of this writing, Miz does not have a match at SummerSlam. It’s possible that Miz is featured somehow in this contest due to the storyline ongoing.

The Miz Says He Can Relate To How Fans Are Treating Baron Corbin

The Miz recently spoke with The Wrap about a wide range of topics and during the interview, he brought up Baron Corbin.

This was when he was asked about his own current positioning as a babyface on WWE RAW. Before this turn, he played a heel.

“It took 13 years for people to realize my talent, I think. If you really think about it– a lot of people say Baron Corbin is that heel that you just can’t stand, you don’t want to watch, blah, blah, blah,” Miz said. “I was that guy for a long time. It took a long, long time.”

Seth Rollins Calls Baron Corbin A “Huge Contributor” To WWE

WWE has pushed Corbin as a top heel on the Raw roster over the last year that resulted in backlash from fans as some people don’t see him in the same light as WWE officials.

Miz also talked about his own babyface turn where he noted that WWE didn’t change him from being a heel but rather the fans did. He thinks fans seeing him on ‘Miz & Mrs’ made them realize that he’s not the character that he portrays on WWE television.

He continued, “And yeah, I do a great job as a bad guy, as a villain, but I’m enjoying this new challenge of being a good guy. And guess what? It takes time to develop, even though I am a seasoned vet, even though I’ve been there for so many years. This is a whole different dynamic that I have to get used to, that I have to find.”

WWE Allegedly Has Big Plans For The Miz

It appears as though The Miz is primed for a renewed push.

This past week on Monday Night RAW, The Miz would host an episode of his talk show, Miz TV. His guest? “The Showoff” Dolph Ziggler.

It didn’t take long for the two to go from exchanging words to clashing blows. This would occur after Ziggler involved Miz’s wife, Maryse, in the conversation. Ziggler would manage to roll out of the ring and escape to end the segment.

Storied Rivalry

Although the two have feuded in the past, The Miz is allegedly going to receive another significant push off the back of their latest chapter.

According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, Miz was supposed to be one of RAW’s top guys when first drafted from SmackDown Live.

Despite this, Miz has been used to get other Superstars over. This has caused his star power to wane, and he is no longer considered to be at that top-tier level.

WWE’s plan of action will see them adjust Miz’s attitude. Whereas before he wasn’t serious enough, The Miz will supposedly be entering into this feud with a different mindset to elevate him back to top Superstar status.

This, apparently, is step one of WWE’s new plans for The Miz.

Maryse & The Miz Reveal Their Baby’s Gender

Maryse & The Miz are expecting another child and took to the power of social media to reveal the gender.

Maryse gave birth to their first child, a daughter named Monroe Sky Mizanin, in March 2018. On Saturday, the married couple held a party in order to find out whether their second child would be a boy or girl.

The happy couple is expecting another girl. The Miz took to his official Instagram account where he wrote the following:

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bx6JvViBMbi/?utm_source=ig_embed

In the summer of last year, she officially became an American citizen. For those who may not know, the former WWE Divas Champion was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

The Miz is coming off a feud with Shane McMahon that started at WrestleMania and finished up after their Steel Cage Match at the WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view event in Hartford, CT at the XL Center.

WWE presents the Super ShowDown pay-per-view event on Friday, June 7th, 2019 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium that will air on the WWE Network at 2PM ET/11 AM PT. WWE has yet to announce who Miz will be facing at this show.

Steel Cage Match Set For WWE Money In The Bank

A new match has been announced for the upcoming WWE Money In The Bank PPV.

On Monday’s episode of RAW that saw Shane McMahon attack The Miz, the continuation of this feud progressed. Later in the show, Miz challenged the son of Vince McMahon to a Steel Cage Match at this upcoming show, which McMahon accepted via the power of Twitter. McMahon beat Miz in a wild match at WrestleMania 35.

WWE presents the Money In The Bank pay-per-view event on Sunday, May 19, 2019 in Hartford, CT at the XL Center that will air on the WWE Network. WWE will be announcing more matches for this show in the coming weeks. Here is the updated card:

Big Show & The Miz Respond To John Oliver’s WWE Segment

Big Show and The Miz have given their reactions to the segment done by John Oliver on Last Week Tonight on HBO that got a ton of attention from fans and those in the wrestling business. In this segment, Oliver gave a critique of WWE and how they treat their talent.

First up is The Miz, who recently spoke with Sports Illustrated, to promote his match with Shane McMahon at this Sunday’s WrestleMania 35 pay-per-view.

“Who doesn’t take shots at WWE, especially when WrestleMania is around? All the news is about that,” said The Miz. “The way I look at what he said, and I don’t know all of it verbatim… I’ve been there for 13+ years. I met my wife in WWE, and we now have a child together, and trust me, I live a pretty incredible life. It’s not every day where you get to go out in front of 80,000 people and either have them boo or cheer you, but be interactive. We get to create moments that last a lifetime. And the way I’m treated, I’ve got to perform in movies with WWE Studios, I have my own reality show ‘Miz & Mrs.’ on the USA Network, which you can see every Tuesday. I’ve been so fortunate of everything that WWE has given to me.”

Miz continued by bringing up how there are people going to be disgruntled and upset as they’re people who think that they are owed something. He added that he feels like he got everything he wanted from WWE, and more.

Switching gears, The Big Show spoke with TMZ Sports while at the airport to travel for WrestleMania 35 weekend where he gave his reaction. He started out by stating that everybody is entitled to their own opinion and has their own experiences on how they feel.

Show has had a long and successful career in the pro wrestling business, which is something the touched on. He brought up having a lot of injuries and knowing from day one stepping through the ropes that it was not an easy job. Show stated that it was a job that was gonna put himself at risk while taking the paychecks and fortune.

“That’s just part of the industry, and the industry has changed. It’s done everything it can to protect the athlete and create longevity for the athlete. I’m 47, I’m still rocking and rolling. So they’re doing something right.”

The Miz Defends Ronda Rousey Breaking Kayfabe

WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey changed her character during her feud with former SmackDown Women’s Champions Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch.

When she first made her WWE debut at WrestleMania 34 and for the majority of her run with the company, she was presented as a babyface. However, that all changed as WrestleMania 35 got closer. Since her feud started with the stars of the blue branded show, she has turned heel.

Rousey has also been breaking kayfabe online through social media and videos posted on her official YouTube channel. This has fans talking online as a result of it.

TMZ recently caught up with former WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champion The Miz where they asked him about Rousey’s new character and her actions. This is where he praised her for getting attention heading into WrestleMania.

She’s slated to make her next title defense as RAW Women’s Champion against Flair and Lynch in a triple threat match at WrestleMania 35.

“She’s making noise, she’s making headlines and you’re talking about her, so everything’s working about it. It’s WrestleMania season. You do whatever you have to do to get people watching … right now, she’s doing exactly that.”

Shane McMahon’s Match At WrestleMania 35 Set

A match featuring Shane McMahon has been announced for WWE WrestleMania 35. During Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live, McMahon kicked off the show and announced that he would face The Miz at the show.

This comes after McMahon turned heel by attacking The Miz at Sunday’s Fastlane pay-per-view event following their loss to SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos in the opening match of the main card.

WWE presents the WrestleMania 35 pay-per-view event on Sunday, April 7, 2019 in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium that will air on the WWE Network. WWE will be announcing more matches for this show in the coming weeks. WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair is expected to headline the show. Dolph Ziggler Mocks Fan Who Suggests Miz Should Jump To AEW

Dolph Ziggler responded to a fan on his official Twitter account who brought up how he hoped that Ziggler and The Miz leave the WWE in order to jump ship to AEW (All Elite Wrestling).

Ziggler was last seen working a match under the WWE banner inside of the squared circle at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event. This comes after a few WWE stars had been granted their releases from the WWE that includes Tye Dillinger, TJP, and Hideo Itami.

The fan wrote, “I hope @HEELZiggler @mikethemiz will switch to AEW once their contracts with WWE comes to an end this year, because you need to fly out of the cage to know there is different world outside that cage.”

This led to Ziggler responding by writing, “Hahahahahaha yeah man, tons of talking time, his own talk show, his own reality show, multiple movies, commercials, title reigns oh, and he main-evented WRESTLEMANIA…that miz just can’t catch a break.”

Cody, Brandi Rhodes, The Young Bucks, Chris Jericho, PAC, Trent Barreta, Chuck Taylor, Pentagon Jr., Fenix, Britt Baker, MJF, Joey Janela, Penelope Ford, Frankie Kazarian, Christopher Daniels, Scorpio Sky, Jimmy Havoc, Sonny Kiss, Sammy Guevara,, Aja Kong, Yuka Sakazaki, Kylie Ray, Nyla Rose, and Kenny Omega are currently the talents under contract.

The Usos Win SmackDown Tag Team Titles At WWE Elimination Chamber

The Usos have won the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions. The newly crowned champions beat Shane McMahon and The Miz at the WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. This comes during the same week that Jimmy was arrested.

The unlikely pairing has earned their first set of WWE gold as a tag team once they beat The Bar (Sheamus & Cesaro) at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event in Phoenix, Arizona at Chase Field on the WWE Network.

The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) earned this title opportunity on the episode of SmackDown Live two nights after the Royal Rumble PPV when they defeated The Bar, The New Day (represented by Big E and Kofi Kingston), and Heavy Machinery (Otis Dozovic and Tucker Knight) in a four-corners tag team elimination match.

Time will tell whether WWE continues this feud or goes into a different direction heading into Fastlane pay-per-view event next month. WWE could book the rematch on an episode of SmackDown Live.

What are your thoughts on The Usos winning the titles? Was this the right call by WWE officials? Sound off in the comment section.

Current Plans For Shane McMahon’s WrestleMania Opponent

Shane McMahon has been part of some very exciting WrestleMania matches since his return, and with WrestleMania 35 approaching, people have been wondering who he would face at the Show Of Shows this time.

McMahon has been considered for a number of matches in the past, but with a latest update from Sports Illustrated, we might finally know who he will face at the show.

According to the site, WWE is planning a one on one bout for the former SmackDown Live Commissioner and his opponent would be none other than his partner and the other half of the SmackDown Tag Team Champions the Miz.

The Miz and Shane have been engaged in a storyline since last year so it makes sense for this angle to culminate at the upcoming PPV with a match on the Grandest Stage Of Them All.

However, these two haven’t exactly been feuding. So it will be interesting to see how the company plans to put these partners against each other and which one of them turns heel for this rivalry.

It’s worth mentioning here that there were reports of Shane McMahon turning heel late last year after Raw’s clean sweep over SmackDown during Survivor Series.

Now the question is if we can expect to see that heel turn now with the company planning a feud between the two?

Miz & Shane McMahon Win SmackDown Tag Team Titles At WWE Royal Rumble

There are new WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions and it’s Shane McMahon and The Miz.

The unlikely pairing has earned their first set of WWE gold as a tag team once they beat The Bar (Sheamus & Cesaro) at Sunday’s (January 27, 2019) WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event in Phoenix, Arizona at Chase Field on the WWE Network.

https://twitter.com/WWEUK/status/1089686415888273408

The pairing of these two stars from McMahon and Miz all started at the WWE Crown Jewel pay-per-view event once McMahon won the WWE World Cup, which saw him replace The Miz in the finals. This led to Miz going after the desire to form a tag team with McMahon with the idea of them having the potential to be the best tag team in the world.

Time will tell whether WWE continues this feud or goes into a different direction heading into the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event next month at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

What are your thoughts on Shane McMahon and The Miz winning the SmackDown Tag Team Titles? Was this the right call by WWE officials? Sound off in the comment section.

Rumor Killer On Lars Sullivan, The Miz And Shane McMahon On Royal Rumble

Rumor Killer On Lars Sullivan

Rumors of NXT Star Lars Sullivan being in hot water started circulating around after he was not mentioned on Raw or SmackDown this week, while the other announced NXT call-ups were featured in one way or the other.

Some fans had even started speculating if Lars has been released quietly but providing a small update on his situation, PWInsider has confirmed that Sullivan is still under contract.

As we noted before, Lars was expected to be backstage for this week’s episode of Raw and SmackDown but he wasn’t there for either of the shows. At this point, it’s not known why he missed the shows but we’ll keep you posted on his status.

The Miz And Shane McMahon On Royal Rumble

As we had reported before, The Miz held a birthday celebration for his tag team partner Shane McMahon on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live.

This celebration was interrupted by the Bar and the whole segment ended with the Miz deciding to take on Sheamus in a one on one bout which he went on to win. Shane McMahon then delivered a coast to coast to Sheamus.

This duo was interviewed backstage after the show went off air where they talked about the upcoming Royal Rumble PPV and more. You can check out their interview in the video below:

Rey Mysterio vs. Almas, Shane’s Birthday Bash Announced For SmackDown

WWE has announced a number of matches and segments for this week’s episode of SmackDown Live, including a birthday celebration segment for Shane McMahon.

First, the company announced that Rey Mysterio and Andrade Cien Almas will be continuing their epic series on SmackDown Live by squaring off for the third time in the span of a few weeks.

The second match which has been made official for the show will see Carmella facing the former Absolution Member Sonya Deville in a one on one bout after their recent Twitter war.

Though these aren’t the only things announced for the show as the company has also confirmed a birthday celebration segment for the episode.

They announced on their website that the Miz will be holding “The Best Birthday Bash in the World” for his tag team partner and former Commissioner Shane McMahon on the Blue Branded Show this week.

It’s worth mentioning here that the Miz and McMahon are scheduled to face the Bar for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship at the upcoming Royal Rumble event.

So it wouldn’t be a surprise if we see the team of Sheamus and Cesaro crashing this birthday bash and their encounter is most likely to end with a physical confrontation.

The Miz Talks Being Left Off WWE TLC Card, Wants Credit For Calling Out Daniel Bryan

The Miz recently spoke with Sporting News to promote this year’s Tribute to the Troops special on the USA Network. During the interview, he talked about being left off the card of the TLC pay-per-view event in San Jose, California which is when he stated that when you’re a WWE superstar you always want to be part of every show and be featured in the main event as they want fans to talk about them. However, sometimes you’re left off the card because that’s the nature of the beast. He understands that sometimes you’re needed, other times you’re not.

I looked at it as I need to work harder. I need to try harder but to be completely honest, I don’t know how to work harder because I don’t think anyone works as hard as me.”

Miz and WWE Champion Daniel Bryan were involved in a heated feud this year on SmackDown Live. Miz is taking credit for projecting that the real Daniel Bryan would be showcased as a heel on television.

“I was right all along, wasn’t I? I said exactly what I think needed to be said and nobody believes me. “He’s so beloved. He’s so endearing. He’s great and he’s a dad.” I was saying he’s all about Daniel Bryan. Daniel Bryan is selfish. Daniel Bryan looks out for Daniel Bryan. Nobody else believed me and then what happens?”

Miz continued by stating that people now know that he was right all along but like to boo him. The former WWE champion wants credit for calling out Bryan for who is really is and thinks it’s crazy that they didn’t believe him.

Paige On Fighting With My Family Trailer, The Miz On Daniel Bryan’s Heel Turn

The Miz On Daniel Bryan’s Heel Turn

While the title change was apparently in works, Daniel Bryan’s heel turn during the latest episode of SmackDown Live was still a last minute decision, so it came as a shock to most of the WWE Universe.

However there was one star who wasn’t surprised with Bryan’s actions at all and he is none other than a former WWE Champion on his own rights, the Miz.

The A-Lister made the following post on Instagram commenting on Daniel’s heel turn, saying that he told everyone who the real Daniel Bryan was but they chose to ignore and boo him:

Paige On Fighting With My Family Trailer

We noted before how the Rock finally released the trailer of Paige’s biopic titled Fighting With My Family from his twitter account earlier this week.

The trailer was generally praised by the fans and the SmackDown General Manager reacted to it via the following tweet, thanking fans for believing in her:

https://twitter.com/RealPaigeWWE/status/1062736922315870208

Fighting With My Family will see actress Florence Pugh portraying the role of the former Diva’s Champion and Lena Headey and Nick Frost acting as her parents. The film is set to be released in February next year.

The Miz Talks Feud With Daniel Bryan, WrestleMania 35 Goals

The Miz spoke with Glasgow Live while touring with the WWE over in the UK to talk about a wide range of topics. During the interview, he was asked about his feud with Daniel Bryan.

This is where the former WWE Intercontinental Champion stated that Bryan is one of the best wrestlers in WWE history but not as good as him as he thinks the Daniel Bryan four years ago was arguably the best. According to Miz, he thinks everything has changed since Bryan has been gone and now, he has to figure out a way to get his trajectory going again.

“I think he’s just living off of his fame that he had four years ago. I don’t know how to make Daniel Bryan what he believes he is. I know I am at an upward trajectory and I am at the best I’ve been in my entire life and that I’m better than Daniel Bryan and every other superstar on Smackdown Live. That’s just my mindset, and it’s a mindset I think everyone should have.”

WrestleMania 35 is scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 7, 2019 in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium. This event airs on pay-per-view (PPV) and WWE Network. Miz was also asked about his goals going into this event.

“I would like to have the WWE Championship and I’d like to be in the main event where that title belongs.”

The Miz Says Fans & Superstars Still Don’t Respect Him

Despite being with WWE for nearly 15 years now, the Miz says neither fans nor the WWE Universe respects him. Many felt Miz’s days without respect were over after he won over even his harshest critics with his work ethic the last few years.

According to Miz, however, he still doesn’t get the respect he feels he deserves. Miz made comments to this effect during a recent interview with the Mirror in the UK.

Miz Still Searching For Respect 15 Years Into WWE Career

“I will never get the respect I deserve because I was on a reality show. Whenever you’re on a reality show, you’re the scum of the earth. You have no talent, you’re a nothing and you deserve nothing,” Miz described his reputation.

Miz’s career has come first circle in the sense that he’s back on another reality TV show. In 2001, Miz dropped out of college in order to appear on MTV’s “the Real World”. Now Miz is the star of “Miz and Mrs.”

“That’s the way I’ve been brought up and how I feel people look at reality [television]. Do I look at it that way? Absolutely not; I thank my lucky stars I was on a show like The Real World on MTV and I thank them for putting me on that show because it gave me the ability to say ‘I can do anything I want with my life’.”

Speaking of Miz and Mrs, Miz explained he doesn’t consider it a reality show. Rather, Miz thinks of the show as a docu-series.

“I like to think it’s a different type of show, but now that I have that, it puts even more ammo against me. But, maybe now, people will look at me and say ‘this guy can lead a show’.”

The Miz Discusses WWE’s Superstar Shake-Up, Feud With John Cena & Nikki Bella

The Miz recently did an interview with SportsKeeda to talk about various topics and his career with the WWE. During the interview, the former Intercontinental Champion spoke about WWE’s Superstar Shake-Up and the company moving him from RAW to SmackDown Live a few times since 2016.

He brought up switching brands each time that WWE has held it over the past two years and believes he’s the only superstar to do that. The reason for that is due to him thinking that it shows that every brand wants him.

“Whenever I switch to the other brand, I feel like I’m on the verge of becoming WWE or Universal Champion or I’m in an upwards trajectory where I feel I’m doing good and I’m on my groove, and then I get switched.”

Miz continued by stating that whenever you switch brands it kind of ruffles those feathers and plans in place because you have to basically prove yourself each and every time. He brought up working for everything and it’s just one of those things. Miz added that he feels like he’s the best one out there each time.

Back at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, Florida last year, Miz teamed up with his wife, Maryse, to take on the team of John Cena and Nikki Bella in a mixed tag team match. When asked about it, he stated that he goes out to the ring and does whatever it takes to make the audience believe in what he’s doing.

“If it needs to get personal, it’ll get personal. Sometimes you don’t need that. I mean, between John & Nikki and Maryse and myself, there was a lot of backstory. And so it helped us out during that program. And it worked. It got people invested and it got people talking.”

Rey Mysterio Advertised To Wrestle Twice At SmackDown 1000, Peyton Royce Reflects On Her Long Journey

– A return to WWE has been rumored for Rey Mysterio since he was a surprise entrant in the 2018 Men’s Royal Rumble Match in January and it will finally happen next week.

WWE announced this week that Mysterio will square off with United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura in a WWE World Cup Qualifying Match on next Tuesday’s historic 1000th episode of SmackDown LIVE in Washington D.C. Mysterio is advertised to wrestle twice on the show as WWE revealed tonight in an email to those in the D.C. area that he will also compete in a tag team match.

In updated advertising for the event, Mysterio is slated to team with WWE Champion AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan against Randy Orton, The Miz, and Nakamura. A match pitting Styles and Bryan against Samoa Joe and Miz was previously advertised.

WWE also noted in the email that Flair will go one-on-one with SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch (after previously advertising Flair, Asuka, and Naomi vs. Lynch and The IIconics). This is presumably a dark match since they’re scheduled to face off at Evolution in a Last Woman Standing Match.

– After wrestling at WWE Super Show-Down last Saturday in her home country of Australia, Peyton Royce reflected on her long journey from the independents.

Royce also revealed that she would spend thousands of dollars on professional photos hoping it would land her a tryout with WWE.

Royce and fellow Australian Billie Kay beat Naomi and Asuka in a tag team match, with Royce scoring the pin on Naomi.

The Miz pulled off the upset victory over Daniel Bryan after hitting him in the head with brass knuckles after his wife, Maryse, gave the weapon to him while Bryan went for an outside dive at Sunday’s (August 19, 2018) WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view event in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center on the WWE Network.

WWE will likely book them in a rematch at the upcoming Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event. After the event, Miz was interviewed about the match where he called Bryan’s return a bust, which you can watch here:

Charlotte Flair On Ronda Rousey

Despite having her title match at SummerSlam, Charlotte Flair took the time to congratulate newly crowned WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey for beating Alexa Bliss to capture the title.

Earlier in the show, Flair lost to Carmella and Becky Lynch in a triple threat match with the SmackDown Women’s Title being on the line. Flair, who is rumored to face Rousey at WrestleMania 35 next year, tweeted out the following on her official Twitter account:

“She’s been a record-breaking, history-making, and a trail-blazing athlete. @RondaRousey doesn’t rest on her legacy, she’s paving her own future. Congratulations, Champ. #SummerSlam #AndNew.”
