Batista Improvised A Hilarious Line In Avengers: Infinity War

Yahoo recently did an interview with two screenwriters from Avengers: Infinity War, and they shared a very interesting story about how former WWE Champion Batista improvised one of the more hilarious lines of the film:

“Then there’s Dave Bautista, the giant of a man behind Drax, who is quickly emerging as one of the funniest Avengers/Guardians, thanks to laugh-landing lines like, “Why is Gamora?,” which perfectly breaks the tension during a heated standoff between Iron Man and Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) on Titan.

““The script only said, ‘Where is Gamora?’ ‘I’ll do you even better: Who is Gamora?’ And then one day Bautista just goes, ‘I’ll do you one better: Why is Gamora?’” Markus recalled. “It’s like, ‘OK, you’re very good at your job.’””

The Miz Taunts Daniel Bryan

The Miz continues to tease Daniel Bryan now that they’re both on the same brand on SmackDown Live. He Tweeted out the following after Bryan lost his Money In The Bank Ladder Match qualifying bout to Rusev:

MVP On Turing Bobby Lashley Heel, Interesting Miz vs. Jeff Hardy Stat, Vader

MVP On Possibly Turning Bobby Lashley Heel

Former ECW Champion Bobby Lashley is back in the WWE fold but it doesn’t seem like his return has garnered as much attention as the company would’ve liked. Lashley seems to have formed an alliance of sorts with Braun Strowman as they recently took out Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn together at Backlash.

One fan on Twitter suggested that WWE turn Lashley heel as it would benefit his better in regards to a crowd reaction. The fan also noted that he’d like to see former United States Champion MVP return to be Lashley’s mouthpiece. MVP took to Twitter to respond to this possibility – simply replying with “intriguing”

Interesting Jeff Hardy vs. The Miz Stat

Last night on SmackDown Live The Miz took on Jeff Hardy for a spot in the upcoming Money In The Bank Ladder Match. The Miz wound up winning the contest and qualifying for the bout.

WWE Stats & Info posted a very interesting fact about the pair on Twitter, revealing their match last night was only the second time ever they’d shared the ring together in one-on-one competition:

Vader Update

WWE and WCW Legend Vader revealed on Twitter that he recently underwent another heart surgery to repair an irregular heartbeat that put him at higher risk of heart attack or stroke. Vader noted the operation was a success:

Braun Strowman Posts Cryptic Message, The Miz On Being At The Top Of His Game

– Braun Strowman had WWE fans talking after he sent out a tweet following his tag team match victory alongside Bobby Lashley over Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn at Sunday’s (May 6, 2018) WWE Backlash pay-per-view event in Newark, New Jersey at the Prudential Center on the WWE Network.

– Speaking of the Backlash PPV, WWE has released this clip from The Miz’s appearance on Talking Smack where he talked with Renee Young and Peter Rosenberg about losing to Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins in the opening match of the event.

Aside from announcing that he would be in a Money In the Bank qualifying match on Tuesday’s SmackDown Live, he spoke about how he is still on top of his game right now despite the loss.

He added that he always moves the needle and makes his show the most must-see TV.

The Miz Comments On Daniel Bryan Being Medically Cleared, Reflects On Headlining WrestleMania 27

The Miz has been an important part of the WWE over the last decade.

The biggest match of The Miz’s career was when defeated John Cena for the WWE Championship back at WrestleMania 27 in 2011 in the main event.

This marked the only time that WWE had booked The Miz in the main event of the biggest event of the year for the sports entertainment company.

Miz was recently interviewed on CBS Sports’ In This Corner podcast to talk about various topics including beating Cena in the main event of WrestleMania.

“I have pinned John Cena at WrestleMania, and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my WWE career. To go into WrestleMania as WWE Champion and to walk out of WrestleMania as WWE Champion as the bad guy that people boo, that doesn’t really happen ever and it did with me because I make people believe. “

Now that Daniel Bryan has been cleared to return to in-ring action, it’s just a matter of time before the WWE books Miz and Bryan in a program on the blue brand. Miz gave an interesting response when asked if he was happy about Bryan being cleared.

“Am I happy? No. Good for him that he is back. Congratulations. Bravo. The thing is he was the one that said, ‘fight for your dreams?’ He didn’t fight for his dreams when he walked away like a coward on Talking Smack now did he? That’s real. Fight for your dreams. His playbook goes something like this: go out there, get sympathy, talk about your wife, cry a little and get your ass kicked.”

WWE Announces Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz For UK Tour

Daniel Bryan and The Miz will square off at three shows during next month’s WWE UK Tour, which runs from May 9th-18th. Shows are scheduled for Bournemouth, London, Birmingham, Liverpool, Newcastle and Sheffield – including RAW and SmackDown TV tapings (from London).

Bryan and The Miz will battle Liverpool, Newcastle & Sheffield on May 16th, 17th and 18th.

When WWE announced that Daniel Bryan was medically cleared to compete again, The Miz’s name kept coming up as one of the ‘dream match’ pairings waiting for him after a 3-year hiatus from the ring. Upon the news of The Miz moving to SmackDown Live in the Superstar Shake-Up, Bryan quickly took notice and let the Miz know he’s waiting for him:

If we’re lucky, this feud will be one of the featured programs on SmackDown Live in the months ahead. This clip from Talking Smack (August 2016) is often cited as one of the breakout moments of The Miz’s career and is worth rewatching even if you’ve seen it before.

The Miz Takes Shot At Daniel Bryan, Cody Rhodes Announces ‘All In’ Press Conference

The Miz Fires A Shot At Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan is now back on WWE’s roster as a full-time in-ring competitor. While Bryan was out due to injury for the past several years, he took a lot of verbal abuse from The Miz. To add insult to injury, Miz began using a lot of Bryan’s moves inside the ring as well.

Now that Bryan is back to competing inside the ring, and Miz was swapped to SmackDown Live last night by way of the Superstar Shake-Up, Bryan says he can’t wait to punch Miz in the face.

The Miz fired back at Bryan via Twitter, telling the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion to be careful when he punches his face because he could get hurt and sit out another three years.

Daniel Bryan Reflects On His Return, Kenny Omega On WrestleMania, More

– Daniel Bryan is back where he belongs – inside a WWE ring. After years of battling concussions, seizures, and a blockade from WWE’s medical staff – Bryan finally returned to in-ring competition at last night’s WrestleMania in New Orleans.

Bryan was cleared to return to the ring several weeks ago after passing tests from numerous doctors referred to him by WWE’s Medical Director Joseph Maroon. He then entered into a feud with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, who attacked Bryan on SmackDown Live after firing the pair.

The former WWE World Heavyweight champion fired Owens and Zayn for their assault on SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon the previous week. Bryan then announced he would team with Shane O’Mac against Owens and Zayn at WrestleMania in a Tag Team match. Had Owens and Zayn won, they would’ve been reinstated on SmackDown.

Bryan and McMahon were attacked from behind early on in the bout, with Bryan being put on a stretcher after getting hit with a powerbomb on the ring apron. He later made his triumphant return into the match to bring his team back, and hooked the YES! Lock on Sami Zayn, who was forced to tap out.

WWE released the following video of Bryan reflecting on his WrestleMania return, and also his daughter getting to see him wrestle. Check it out here:

– New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) star Kenny Omega was asked on Twitter what he was doing during the biggest professional wrestling show in the world. It turns out The Cleaner was too busy playing video games instead of watching the New Orleans show:

– Speaking of WrestleMania, The Miz dropped his Intercontinental Title to Seth Rollins in a Triple Threat match that featured Finn Balor in the opening bout of the main card. Just prior to this, however, The Miz got to meet the stars of “Impractical Jokers” Sal Vulcano and Brian Quinn.

Vulcano and Quinn said that Miz would cheat in his match, which upset Miz (who just so happened to be walking by) a bit. Check it out here:

“It is time to get to work man. I’m here to get that title and collect bags. ASAP”.

The Miz On Defending The Intercontinental Championship Against Finn Balor & Seth Rollins Tonight

How he has prepared for two of the top Superstars in WWE:

“This is the match that everybody has been waiting for. This is WrestleMania. This is what it is all about. This is what you train and prepare for the entire year. This year has been the year of The Miz and I will keep the Intercontinental Championship, the most prestigious and honorable title in WWE. I have been saying it since day one, since the first time I had that title, this title is everything to me and no one is taking it from me, especially at WrestleMania”.

Going into WrestleMania as a new father:

“It is everything. This is the first WrestleMania that I have a child. I don’t have words for it. Normally I could sit here and talk all day long, but there is a whole new side of me that I didn’t even know I had. Everyone always tells you when you become a dad it is going to change you and I was like nah it is not going to change me, but it really does. When you look in your daughter’s eyes and see the life that you have given, you want to make them proud. I know my wife is going to be watching on the WWE Network at home and you want to make them proud. You want to make them see you as a champion and that is exactly what I am going to set out to do”.

Jarrius “JJ” Robertson picking him to win at WrestleMania:

“Yeah! I know right? I am his least favorite WWE Superstar and Jarrius chose me to defend the Intercontinental Championship. Why? Because he knows and he gets it and everybody else is starting to get it. I am the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all-time and today will be the stamp. I’m ready to go”.

Below is the video of Jarrius picking The Miz to win the Intercontinental Championship match tonight. The Miz interviewed Jarrius after he received The Warrior Award at the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony.

The Miz Gets Upset Over WrestleMania Advertisement Snub

WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz is set to defend his title in a Triple Threat match against Finn Balor and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 34 this weekend. The Miz has experienced many snubs in the WWE promotional department in the past, but to be left off an advertisement for The Grandest Stage Of Them All as a title-holder – it’s the ultimate disrespect.

Before Miz made his scheduled appearance at the Cricket Wireless store in New Orleans, he took to Instagram to comment on being left off the ad. Check it out:

The Miz Believes HIs WrestleMania 34 Match Has All Components Of Being Main Event Caliber

Current WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz has been an important part of the WWE over the last decade.

The biggest match of The Miz’s career was when defeated John Cena for the WWE Championship back at WrestleMania 27 in 2011 in the main event. This marked the only time that WWE had booked The Miz in the main event of the biggest event of the year for the sports entertainment company.

The Miz recently spoke with Yahoo Sports to talk about various topics including his upcoming Intercontinental Title defense against Seth Rollins and Finn Balor in a Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania 34.

Although the match will not be slotted in the main event, Miz is planning to make it the caliber of a match that should’ve been placed as the headliner.

“Even though my match is not called the main event, I plan on making it the main event and people to talk about it for years to come, moments that last a lifetime. We have all of the components. Finn Balor and Seth Rollins, as much as I make fun of them and degrade them, they are two of the top, elite, talents in WWE.”

“To be one of the focal points of Raw, to know that Vince [McMahon], Hunter [Triple H], Stephanie [McMahon], Shane [McMahon], that all of the execs, believe in me and know that I can put out there and revolve a show around me, that my star power can bring people into an arena, make people watch at home, that is second to none. That trust, that is what you live for as a WWE superstar.

I was the person that elevated that title, that made it prestigious and that was my goal. My goal was to have this title where it was when I was a kid, when Ultimate Warrior was going up against Hulk Hogan. It was the biggest match that you could see. That is where I’m taking the Intercontinental title.”

John Cena Continues To Troll Undertaker, Miz Snickers Commercial (Video)

– As we’ve noted, The Undertaker did not appear on last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW to accept John Cena’s WrestleMania 34 challenge. Despite Undertaker remaining silent, Cena continues to poke fun at The Deadman on social media. He posted the following on his Instagram:

– WWE posted Intercontinental Champion The Miz’s new Snickers ad on their YouTube channel. You can check it out here:

The Miz at WrestleMania

Last year at WrestleMania, the Miz and Maryse teamed together in a losing effort against John Cena and Nikki Bella.

This year, Miz is set to defend his Intercontinental Championship against both Seth Rollins and Finn Balor in a triple threat match.

Potential Spoiler On WWE Intercontinental Title Match At WrestleMania 34

Advertisement for an upcoming WWE live event may have spoiled the outcome of a key match at WrestleMania 34.

The sports entertainment company has already announced that The Miz will be defending his Intercontinental Championship at Wrestlemania 34 in a triple threat match. He will be facing Seth Rollins and Finn Balor.

The WWE is slated to run an upcoming event at the SSE Arena in Belfast in May, and the arena recently sent out a tweet to promote the live event that indicates that it will be Rollins facing Balor for the Intercontinental Title.

The wording of the tweet has some fans thinking this means Rollins will be Intercontinental Champion. The tweet has since been deleted, but you can see a screenshot of it below. It should be noted that it’s possible that this was an error on the part of the arena’s social media department.

IC Title

WrestleMania 34 is set to be held on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. This event airs on pay-per-view (PPV) and WWE Network. It’s the most successful and longest-running professional wrestling event in history. Both Raw and SmackDown rosters will be featured.

Finn Balor Reacts To Miz’s “Prince Nevitt” Name Drop, Roman Reigns’ Wrists Scarred & Bruised (Photo)

– WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz used Finn Balor and Seth Rollins’ old indy names (Prince Devitt and Tyler Black) on Monday Night RAW last night during a promo. Miz mispronounced Balor’s indy name, however, calling him Prince “Nevitt” instead. Balor responded to Miz’s mispronunciation on Twitter:

– RAW opened up yesterday with Roman Reigns being handcuffed by US Marshals before taking a savage beating from Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. When Reigns was put up on the stretcher and escorted out of the arena, WWE snapped a photo that caught “The Big Dog’s” wrists bruised and scarred after the segment. Check it out:

Miz Reflects On His WWE Success, Wanting To Make IC Title Special Again

WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz recently appeared on Booker T’s Heated Conversations radio show to talk about various topics. Miz is slated to defend his title against Finn Balor and Seth Rollins in a Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania 34 next month.

During the interview, he was asked about wanting to make the title special once again.

“When my wife [Maryse] first came to WWE, it was like the day after WrestleMania and she had came back and actually helped me to defeat Zack Ryder for the Intercontinental title. At that moment, I was like, never again will I ever be looked as anything other than a main eventer. Everything I do will be at an elite level; the boss level. I will tell you what, I looked at that Intercontinental title – when I was a kid, my heroes had that title; Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Mr. Perfect. I was watching this title get dug and dug into the grave, because anytime you have the title it is more like, ‘oh, that guy is going to lose.’ Anytime there was a non-title match that person was going to lose who had the title. I didn’t want that anymore. I was sick of it, and I will never forget where I went off on Daniel Bryan. That day, I went through so much on my mind, I was so aggravated. Here I was trying to make the title as prestigious as I can in WWE but I wasn’t even on the show. They told me that I was involved in a dark match to open the show. It is not that I didn’t want to do it and perform for the audience, it was more like, this title deserves better than this.

We are bringing out new Tag Team titles, new Women’s title, so we don’t have time for your title. I told them to put me on Talking Smack. They were wondering why I wanted to be on Talking Smack, and I said, ‘What do you mean, why do I want to be on Talking Smack? It will be the ability to showcase what I can do so you can see exactly the abilities that I have and showcase my talent.’ I told them that it was going to break the internet if they put me on Talking Smack, and they agreed to put me on the show. Then, when I went on there, Daniel Bryan and I kind of went off. I literally thought he was going to punch me, but he just walked off. Honestly, it was the best thing that could have happened because it allowed me to be center stage and just let off all of my frustration and everything that I was feeling at that moment, and I remember feeling inside my head reminding myself to not lose it. I then said, you know what, lose it. People tell me it was the best promo I had ever done, but here I was flubbing words because I was so mad.”

Miz was also asked during this interview about his success in the sports entertainment company.

The Miz was drafted to the ECW brand in 2007 where he formed a partnership with John Morrison. Together, they won the WWE Tag Team Championship and World Tag Team Championship.

After being drafted to Raw in 2009, he won the United States Championship twice, tag team titles with John Cena, Damien Mizdow, and twice with Big Show, as well as the 2010 Raw Money in the Bank ladder match. He cashed in his briefcase to win the WWE Championship in November 2010 and went on to hold for six months. He is also the one of longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion in WWE history.

If you recall, the biggest match of The Miz’s career was when defeated  Cena for the WWE Championship back at WrestleMania 27 in 2011 in the main event.

“I think it is the ability to evolve. I mean, when you look at your [Booker T] career. You went from the five-time, five-time, five-time World Champion to King Booker, which was arguably one of my favorite characters of all-time. It was so much fun to watch. I think the first time, William Regal had to say, “All Hail King Booker’ for like ten minutes, and you were eating it up. Watching it, I was like, oh my God, he is eating it up. I knew you were laughing the entire time. It was so much fun to watch.”

“My success, I think it is due to the Mizanan family. Everyone in my family is a hard worker. I was the guy that whenever someone would say, oh man, it’s media day, I don’t have time. I have X,Y, & Z, I would say, give it to me. I will do every media day because I looked at it as an opportunity. Not only was it an opportunity for me to go out there in front of the media all around the world, but also to practice promos. To captivate people and to have them understand exactly who I was. I think hard work, dedication and anytime someone didn’t want to do something, I would always raise my hand. I think that is where my success lies – for whatever I lack in talent, I make up for in hard work.”

Two Triple Threat Title Matches Expected To Take Place At WrestleMania 34, Update On Cruiserweight Title Tournament Finals

– It looks like WrestleMania 34’s card will feature two Triple Threat matches for WWE titles. We’ve already seen that Monday Night RAW General Manager Kurt Angle has announced The Miz will be defending his Intercontinental Title in one against Seth Rollins and Finn Balor. Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer reports that SmackDown Live will have a Triple Threat Title match of their own.

United States Champion Randy Orton is expected to defend his strap against both Bobby Roode and Jinder Mahal in New Orleans. Roode announced his intentions to use his rematch clause at WrestleMania against Orton, after losing the strap this past weekend at Fastlane to “The Viper.” Mahal recently picked up a singles win over Bobby Roode, however, so it’s possible he’s added to the match on SmackDown Live next week.

– As for the finals of the 205 Live Cruiserweight Championship Tournament, Meltzer reports the plan has always been for Cedric Alexander vs. Mustafa Ali to take place in the finals. After Alexander already solidified his place in the finals, Mustafa Ali vs. Drew Gulak will take place on next week’s 205 Live to determine Alexander’s opponent. It was also added that Alexander vs. Ali was the idea for the finals once the idea was developed to have the match take place at WrestleMania.

‘The Miz’ Hopes CM Punk Does Well in His Second UFC Fight in June

A pro wrestling beef that reportedly goes back nearly seven years doesn’t mean that ‘The Miz’ wishes any ill will on former WWE superstar CM Punk as he prepares for his second fight in the UFC.

Several years ago, ‘The Miz’ (real name Mike Mizanin) and CM Punk (real name Phil Brooks) were engaged in a reported backstage feud regarding how WWE was booking each of them and it led to some back and forth comments in various interviews.

Then back in 2016, Punk made his UFC debut after leaving WWE and he was submitted by Mickey Gall in the opening round of their fight. The next night as part of the “Elimination Chamber” pay-per-view, The Miz and Dolph Ziggler choreographed an almost identical set of moves in their match that mimicked — or mocked — Punk’s UFC performance.

Well if there was any ill will shared between them, The Miz is no longer holding any grudges after he was asked about Punk’s recent message where he seemed to reveal that his second UFC fight will take place in Chicago on June 9.

“I wouldn’t say that because the guy was going after a dream,” The Miz told TMZ when asked about Punk. “He always wanted to do that and whenever you go after a dream, why smash on it? He’s going to do his best, he’s going to try his hardest and I imagine he’s training his heart out to do the best he can in the Octagon. I hope he does well.”

As far as Punk’s chances to win in his second UFC fight, the Miz says that really comes down to who he’s facing and what kind of challenge he might receive inside the Octagon.

The Miz only knows one thing for certain — anything Punk is doing is for himself and not as a response to the haters who continuously jab at him over social media.

“I don’t think CM Punk is the type of person to really look into that. If you come from WWE, you have a thick skin because you’re hated on all day, everyday,” The Miz said. “This is just the norm for him.”

Will you be watching CM Punk in his second UFC fight? Sound off in the comments to let us know.

Top 10 Moments From SmackDown Live (March 13), Cena & Nikki vs. Miz & Maryse Free WrestleMania Match

WWE’s Top 10 Moments From SmackDown Live

It’s Wednesday, which means another episode of SmackDown Live is history. Last night (March 13), the show took place inside the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, IN. This was the first episode of SmackDown Live following the WWE Fastlane pay-per-view.

The stage is set for the “dream match” between WWE champion AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura for WrestleMania 34. The two have competed one-on-one in New Japan Pro Wrestling, but never inside the WWE ring. That’s not the only feud on display last night.

SmackDown Live commissioner Shane McMahon made two major announcements. The first one being a match at WrestleMania between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. He then announced that he’ll be stepping down from his position as the brand’s commissioner. As seen in the top 10 SmackDown Live moments above, Shane was in for a rude surprise when he got to the back.

WrestleMania Free Match: John Cena & Nikki Bella vs. The Miz & Maryse

In an effort to hype up WrestleMania 34, WWE has posted a free match from last year’s mega PPV. Showcased this time is the mixed tag team match between John Cena and Nikki Bella vs. The Miz and Maryse. Following the match, Cena asked Nikki a very important question.

The Miz Welcomes Randy Orton To Club, Charlotte Flair On If Asuka Is Overrated, Randy Orton Gets Title Plates (Video)

– WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz took to Twitter to congratulate and welcome new United States Champion Randy Orton to the Grand Slam Champions club. Orton defeated Bobby Roode at the Fastlane pay-per-view (PPV) event to capture the United States Title for the first time ever.

Orton is now the 10th Grand Slam Champion under the current format. He joins Big Show, Daniel Bryan, The Miz, Chris Jericho, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, Edge, Kurt Angle, and Eddie Guerrero:

https://twitter.com/mikethemiz/status/973102767999987712?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw

– Speaking of Orton’s United States Title win, WWE posted a video of “The Viper” receiving his new title plates:

– Also at Fastlane last night, 2018 Women’s Royal Rumble winner Asuka chose to challenge SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 34. She joined Talking Smack after the PPV event to offer her thoughts on whether or not “The Empress Of Tomorrow,” who has remained undefeated in WWE for two years, is overrated. Flair said she’s not underestimating Asuka ahead of their WrestleMania clash, and she doesn’t think the Japanese star is underestimating her either:

The Miz Says Ronda Rousey Is Messing With The Wrong People In WWE (Video)

TMZ Sports uploaded a video in which they caught up with WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz and his wife Maryse. Miz was asked about how the thinks Ronda Rousey has done in WWE thus far. Rousey recently picked Stephanie McMahon to be her opponent at WrestleMania 34. She will team with Kurt Angle against McMahon and Triple H after Stephanie slapped her at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view (PPV) and Triple H sucker punched Angle on RAW.

Miz said that Rousey is doing a good job on WWE TV thus far despite picking the wrong people to mess with in Stephanie and Triple H:

“I think so. So far she’s getting a great reaction out of the crowd, and that’s what it’s all about. But I think she’s messing with the wrong people in Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.”

As far as Rousey’s in-ring work, Miz can’t really comment on it as he hasn’t seen “The Rowdy One” in the ring and doesn’t know where or who she was training with:

“Form as in being in WWE – transitioning from the WWE – I haven’t seen her do anything in the WWE yet, as in her wrestling. In UFC she’s incredible, she’s one of the baddest women on the planet. In WWE, it’s a completely different art and I haven’t seen her train in the ring yet. I’m not down – wherever she’s training, I haven’t been there, so I haven’t seen it.”

Miz was also asked what Rousey should name her signature Armbar in WWE:

“I don’t know. I haven’t really thought about that – “Baddest Armbar On The Planet?”

Brock Lesnar Destroys The Miz At WWE Live Event (Videos)

At Saturday night’s WWE live event from Minneapolis, Minnesota WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar was in action against Intercontinental Champion The Miz. You can probably guess how this one played out.

The Miztourage (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel) tried helping out, but Lesnar ended up destroying them as well with suplexes. The referee called the match after about a minute after Lesnar had F5’d Miz, Dallas, and Axel.

The bell was rung without a pinfall even taking place and Lesnar was given his title back, which he hoisted up above his head as the crowd cheered.

“The Beast” then turned to the referee and hit him with an F5 as well before leaving the ring.

The Miz Reacts To Ric Flair Calling Him The Best Heel In The Business, Finn Balor On His WrestleMania 34 Title Match

– WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz recently spoke to WTMJ-TV Milwaukee to promote last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW. During the interview Miz was asked about two-time WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair calling him the best heel in the business today. Here’s how Miz responded (quotes via Wrestling Inc.):

“Ha! Is that what he said? Coming from him that’s an honor,” Miz said. “Ric Flair – in my opinion – is the greatest of all-time. I mean he is absolutely incredible, I mean, he gave me his figure-four, how can I say a bad thing about him?

“You know what I mean? He’s just an incredible human being and incredible in-ring performer. And still, his legend lives on, no matter if he’s in the ring or outside the ring people still do ‘The Strut,’ give the ‘Woo!’ It’s amazing.”

– Speaking of The Miz, it was announced by RAW General Manager Kurt Angle that he would be defending his Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 34 in a Triple Threat match against Seth Rollins and Finn Balor. “The Demon King” took to Twitter to react to the news that he’d be getting a crack at the title on “The Grandest Stage Of Them All”:

WrestleMania 34: Update On Plans For The IC Title

It looks like the Intercontinental Title picture heading into WrestleMania 34 has changed from WWE’s original plans. Originally WWE planned on having The Miz feud with Braun Strowman heading into “The Show Of Shows” for the Intercontinental strap. It was expected that the feud would begin at Elimination Chamber this past weekend or on last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW.

Per a report from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE seems to have nixed those plans and are going in a different direction. Now the company wants to have The Miz vs. Seth Rollins for the Intercontinental Title, and possibly adding Finn Balor to make it a Triple Threat match. Here’s what Meltzer had to say about the plans:

“It’s pretty clear that they will be doing The Miz and Seth Rollins and probably Finn Balor in a three way, which takes Strowman out and Strowman is obviously the backup plan in case something happens.”

As for Strowman, it looks like he could be getting set for a feud with Elias heading into WrestleMania. Several weeks ago Strowman attacked Elias with a large bass and also had a segment with him on last night’s episode of RAW as well.

It should also be noted that WWE is currently keeping Strowman’s WrestleMania schedule open due to the recent allegations against Roman Reigns in relation to an illegal steroid ring. So there’s still a slight chance he could be involved in the Universal Title match at WrestleMania 34.

The Miz Angered by Elimination Chamber Ad, Paige Responds to Body Shaming

The Miz Disrespected by EC Ad

The Elimination Chamber hasn’t begun and The Miz already feels as if he’s been slighted. The Intercontinental champion will participate in the men’s EC match tonight (Feb. 25). The winner will receive a shot at Brock Lesnar’s WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania.

While The Miz has his spot secured, he isn’t exactly feeling the love from the promotional side of things. Upon his arrival in Las Vegas, Miz saw an ad for the EC pay-per-view. The problem? Not only is The Miz not on the ad, but Dean Ambrose is featured despite not even being on the card.

Paige Fires Back At Body Shamers

Paige has had a rough go with her career as of late. While being sidelined with an injury, reports spread on the toxicity of her prior relationship with Alberto Del Rio. Then, footage leaked of Paige engaging in sexual activities with other wrestlers.

Ready to bounce back and put the negativity behind her, Paige returned to the ring but it was short-lived. She suffered an injury following a kick to the back by Sasha Banks at a house show. Reports surfaced claiming that Paige will not be cleared to compete in the WWE going forward.

Roman Reigns Calls The Miz An “Underrated Workhorse”

WWE Superstar Roman Reigns recently did an interview with ESPN to promote tomorrow night’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view (PPV). Reigns was asked for his thoughts on “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman and said that he believes he’s going to be a monster in WWE for many more years to come:

“He’s a monster. It’s for real. He’s a big strong dude that can move. He’s a good athlete, too. It’s very rare you see men who stand 6-8, 6-9-plus, and they have to hitch to do what we do. On top of all that, he’s not a big blockhead. He’s a smart guy with a decent head on his shoulders where I think he’s going to continue to progress and continue to learn because there’s so many different facets and nuances that we do in the ring. He’s definitely going to be a monster for us for many years to come.”

Reigns was then asked about his fellow Shield teammate Seth Rollins, who he called his brother in “many regards”:

“That’s my brother, in so many regards. Not only in character and TV world perspective, but in real life. We’ve gone through so much and we’ve seen each other progress and advance in life and it’s really cool where we’re at.”

As for his thoughts on inaugural WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor, Reigns believes he’s in the right spot in WWE and says he has a great story and background from his days in Japan:

“The cool thing about Finn, and a lot of the guys we have, but especially his story and just his background and the time he spent in Japan and the whole Bullet Club scene and everything, I would just say he’s an extremely deserving competitor, and he’s in the right spot. He’s in the right light.

“I’m extremely happy with his progression as a character, and as long as he can keep Finn Balor doing what he’s doing, the Demon is always going to be really cool. He’s definitely a journeyman, but I’m happy he’s continually escalating and evolving throughout this career.”

“The Big Dog” then offered his thoughts on WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz, who he called an “underrated workhorse”:

“He’s an underrated workhorse. I’m extremely proud of the job that he does representing the company. The crossover reach that he has, and his ability to maintain the relationship he has with MTV [is great]. I think he’s very underrated for the amount of work that he does and I’m grateful to have him in our locker room.”
