The Usos Reunite In First Traditional Tag Match Since July 2023

The Usos returned to tag-team action this week, marking their first traditional tag-team match in over 17 months. At a WWE live event in Jacksonville on December 26, the brothers reunited but fell short against The Bloodline‘s Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.

This long-awaited reunion was a treat for fans of the longest-reigning WWE Tag Team Champions. Their last traditional tag-team match took place at WWE Money in the Bank in July 2023, where they secured a victory over Sikoa and Roman Reigns. That match also marked Reigns’ first time being pinned in WWE in close to four years.

Although this marks the duo’s first traditional tag match in over a year, Jimmy and Jey have been working together recently. At WWE Crown Jewel, the brothers joined forces with Reigns to face Sikoa, Fatu, and Tama Tonga. Additionally, they were part of the victorious team at Survivor Series: WarGames, where they triumphed inside the titular structure.

Jey Uso Wants The Usos to Wrestle MCMG & Lucha Bros in WWE

With the brothers seemingly back on the same page—capped off by a post-match “Yeet”—fans are speculating about the possibility of a full-fledged reunion on television. Stay tuned to SEScoops for updates as Jimmy and Jey Uso continue to make waves in WWE.

The Bloodline Slays Roman Reigns & The Usos At WWE Crown Jewel 2024

The reunion of Roman Reigns and The Usos proved to be in vain at WWE Crown Jewel as the trio fell victim to The Bloodline in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

At WWE’s latest event in Saudi Arabia, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu defeated Reigns, Jimmy, and Jey Uso with Sikoa getting the pinfall over the OTC. Reigns and The Usos formally reunited on this week’s SmackDown, albeit with Jey Uso making clear he hasn’t forgotten at the past.

After the match, Solo’s Bloodline continued their assault on Reigns and The Usos. This was interrupted by Sami Zayn, who teased aligning with Solo before attacking the new Tribal Chief. Reigns and The Usos recovered to fight back against the new Bloodline. When Sami went for a kick though, he accidentally clocked Reigns while Solo was able to escape.

WWE Crown Jewel is taking place from the Mohammad Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The card for the show is as follows:

  • Roman Reigns and The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) vs. The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga) (with Tonga Loa)
  • Cody Rhodes Vs. GUNTHER (WWE Crown Jewel Championship)
  • Nia Jax Vs. Liv Morgan (WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Championship)
  • Seth “Freakin” Rollins vs. Bronson Reed
  • Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens
  • LA Knight (c) vs. Andrade vs. Carmelo Hayes (WWE U.S. Championship)
  • Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair (c) vs. Damage CTRL (Kairi Sane and Iyo Sky) vs. Meta-Four (Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson) vs. Chelsea Green and Piper Niven (WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship)

MCMG Win Tag Titles, The Usos Reunite On (10/25) WWE SmackDown

For years, The Usos established themselves as one of the greatest tag teams in WWE history, with multiple title reigns and records to their name. The pair split in 2023, but now, Jimmy and Jey are finally back together in a huge move that also saw the tag team championships change hands.

In the main event of the October 25, episode of WWE SmackDown, the Motor City Machine Guns faced Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa with the Bloodline’s gold on the line. Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso brawled with The Bloodline during the match, before a hooded figure showed up and attacked Loa and Tonga. This mystery person revealed himself to be Jey Uso. The Motor City Machine Guns then scored the win.

After the match, Jey was in the ring and Jimmy came out. The two hugged and Roman Reigns appeared on the stage, where he looked on.

Jimmy turned on Jey at WWE SummerSlam 2023, prompting Jey to split from his family and depart for Monday Night Raw. The pair later feuded, resulting in Jey besting his brother at WrestleMania 40 in April of this year. This loss would result in Jimmy being ousted from The Bloodline in April, and he’d be out of action until Bad Blood.

Now, The Usos are back on the same page and SmackDown has brand new Tag Team Champions in Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin. Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the developments on this angle now that Jimmy and Jey are back on the same page.

Jey Uso Wants The Usos to Wrestle MCMG & Lucha Bros in WWE

Jey Uso is enjoying his first reign with a singles title as the WWE Intercontinental Champion. Ahead of his next title defense against Bron Breakker tonight on WWE Raw, the former Bloodline member hasn’t given up hope on reuniting with his brother.

Jimmy Uso made a surprise return at WWE Bad Blood and came to the aid of Roman Reigns, but he’s yet to make peace with Jey.

During a recent interview with Metro UK, Jey Uso expressed his desire to reform what he calls the greatest tag team in the world, The Usos. They’re one of the most decorated tag teams in history, and Jey can’t help but think about the prospective tag matches awaiting them.

“I would like to [wrestle MCMG] with Jimmy. I feel like with Jimmy… We are the best tag team in the world. We’ve done everything. But I feel like if we did have a comeback, man, I would like to run with those guys.”

– Jey Uso to Metro UK

He also named, “a couple guys from NXT” and AEW stars Lucha Bros. (Pentagon and Rey Fenix) , “but they gotta walk through this door.”

The Usos last teamed together at WrestleMania 39 (April 1, 2023), where they faced and lost the Undisputed WWE Tag Team titles against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Neither team is still together, but the arrival of the MCMG freshens up the tag team division.

Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley have already made an impact following their debuts last week on WWE SmackDown. This coming Friday, they’ll mix it up with DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa).

WWE Has Another Dream Match Planned For WrestleMania 40

WWE is on the road to WrestleMania, and they are setting up the matches for the big show as we speak. This week’s episode of RAW saw a lot of momentum toward the grandest stage of them all, and a big match is already coming together. This match is also one that some fans have dreamed about witnessing for years.

WWE’s WrestleMania Plan

During WWE RAW this week, Jey Uso battled GUNTHER for the IC Title. Uce didn’t win that match, but he was really close at one point.

Jimmy Uso interrupted that match by ringing the bell to stop a count when Jey was pinning GUNTHER. That distraction caused GUNTHER to get another shot in the match, and he ended up pulling off the win.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer made it clear that Jimmy vs Jey Uso is the match at WrestleMania. This has been the plan for months, so they are going that way with them.

“Obviously, they’re setting up Jimmy vs Jey at WrestleMania, which has been the plan for like, six months.”

What’s Next on the Road to WrestleMania 40

Jimmy and Jey Uso have won a ton of titles together, and they are one of the best tag teams of all time. They have yet to really battle it out in the ring, and this year’s showcase of the immortals will certainly give them that opportunity.

The card is always subject to change, and you never know what obstacles may arise in the next month and a half, but it looks like fans will finally see The Usos get their WrestleMania moment in a singles match this year.

SEScoops will have continued coverage of the road to WrestleMania. Please keep checking back for more updates.

WWE Wanted New Orton Theme, New Titles for The Usos, Lexis King Names Fans & More

Randy Orton’s New Theme Song

Randy Orton is back on WWE programming, and fans are loving here Rev Theory’s ‘Voices’ once again. Fightful Select reports however that WWE considered ditching the theme and going with a new song for the Viper’s return. While a revamped version of Voices was recently recorded, Orton’s new theme wasn’t going to be that. The former WWE Champion has used Voices since 2008.

New Titles for the Usos

The Usos may no longer be a tag team, but fans will soon have the chance to celebrate the highly-successful duo. This week, WWE shared new custom celebration titles celebrating the record-long title reign of Jimmy and Jey. The pair held the SmackDown Tag Team Championships from Money in the Bank 2021 to WrestleMania 39 in April 2023.

Lexis King Names His Fans

Lexis King is making a name for himself in WWE NXT, but has been in need of a name for his fans. During a Runescape Twitch stream, King recently encouraged his fans not call themselves ‘Registered Lex Offenders.’ On Twitter this week, King promoted his Cameo video to his fans, now dubbed ‘IntelLexuals.’

Tiffany Stratton & Paris Hilton

Tiffany Stratton is quite the blonde bombshell in NXT, and has spoken in the past about being inspired by the liked of Sharpay Evans and Paris Hilton. This week, Hilton performed a Hilton-inspired TikTok which caught the attention of the reality star/heiress. In the comments, Hilton responded saying “Loves it!”

The Usos Reach New Milestone in WWE Tag Team History

Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos are back on the same page and have reached another milestone in the annals of tag-team history.

At WWE Royal Rumble 2023, Jey refused to attack Sami Zayn, seemingly leaving the Bloodline and raising questions about the future of The Usos.

During this week’s Raw, Jey reunited with Jimmy and the rest of the Bloodline by attacking Sami Zayn.

New Milestone

Since WWE Money in the Bank in July 2021, The Usos have dominated as the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions.

Last May, the brothers defeated then-Raw Tag Team Champions RK-Bro to unify the titles, though WWE has since allowed the titles to be defended separately.

This week, The Usos (already the longest-reigning Tag Team Champions in history) reached 600 days of this latest reign as SmackDown Tag Team Champions.

If you count the combined number of days The Usos have held tag gold in WWE, the brothers have dominated for 1,527 days.

The End?

The Usos may have held the SmackDown Tag Team titles for 600 days (and counting) in their latest reign with the Championships, but will they reach 700?

It has been reported (though not confirmed by WWE) that the plan is for the brothers to defend their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 39 against Zayn and Kevin Owens.

There have been calls by some for the match to headline Night One of the event, given the popularity of the storyline featuring Zayn and the Bloodline.

Latest on the Status of The Usos for WWE Elimination Chamber 2023

The Usos may be making an appearance at WWE Elimination Chamber after all, despite previous travel restrictions due to legal issues.

This weekend’s event will be WWE’s first Premium Live Event in the Great White North since Breaking Point 2009 and will be headlined by Roman Reigns Vs. Sami Zayn.

The event will take place in Zayn’s hometown of Montreal, Quebec, and will also feature two Elimination Chamber matches for the U.S. title, and for a shot at the Raw Women’s Championship.

The Usos

During the latest episode of SmackDown, Paul Heyman said that the Usos will be watching next week’s SmackDown and Elimination Chamber from home.

Many saw this as WWE’s way to write off the brothers, who have faced travel restrictions for years due to a series of DUIs.

During the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that the pair will be allowed to travel to Canada.

“I was told they’re okay. I will check again, but when it first came up, I asked if they’re cleared for Canada, and I was told they’re both cleared. I’m not sure if it’s a swerve, or a storyline, but they’re cleared to show up.”

Dave Meltzer.

It remains unclear if The Usos will appear at WWE Elimination Chamber, only that they are able to.

Legal Troubles

The Usos have both experienced legal issues over DUIs which have affected their wrestling careers.

In September 2011, Jimmy was arrested and charged with a DUI after he blew twice the legal limit in the state of Florida.

In March 2013, he was arrested again for arrested for violating his probation by driving with a suspended license.

It was in January 2018 that Jey was arrested for DWI in Texas, after driving from a WWE live event, and was released the same day after posting a $500 personal recognizance bond.

In February 2019, Jimmy was arrested in Detroit after a dispute with police officers, who claimed they could smell alcohol from the inside.

In July 2019, Jimmy was arrested yet again near Pensacola, Florida and was charged with a DUI, but found not guilty by an Escambia country judge that December.

Two years later, Jimmy was arrested again in July 2021, blew close to triple the legal limit, and was booked on a misdemeanor DUI charge.

Update on Plans for The Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles

WWE has changed how they book their Tag Team Champions as  The Usos are touted as the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions. However, they’ve always been the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Champions.

Instead of defending the titles separately, they defend both titles. The same goes for Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, who holds both the WWE Title and Universal Championship.

WWE booked The Usos’ next title defense for Raw 30 this Monday. However, the company made sure to note they will defend the Raw Tag Team Titles against Dominik Mysterio and Damian Priest instead of noting they will defend the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles.

The Idea

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that having The Usos defend the titles separately again is a call from Paul “Triple H” Levesque.

“The idea right now on the tag team front is that there are two sets of belts. The Usos are champions, but the Raw and Smackdown belts are different. This is a new Paul Levesque move and it does allow the Usos to lose one set of belts and keep the other. It was explained to me that the hope is it makes fans think it’s more likely somebody beats them for one set of belts.”

The Usos do not have a match lined up yet for the Royal Rumble next Saturday.

Top Superstar’s Injury Forced WWE to Unify Tag Team Titles (Report)

WWE’s Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships would have likely never been unified had it not been for Randy Orton’s injury.

The two titles were unified less than a year ago when The Usos (SmackDown) defeated RK-Bro (Raw) on the May 20, 2022, edition of WWE SmackDown on FOX.

Since then, the Usos have retained against the likes of the Banger Bros., the Brawling Brutes, the New Day and the Street Profits

Unifying

The titles being unified came as a surprise to fans, as WWE hurried into making the two tag titles into one championship.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained WWE’s original plans had Randy Orton not gone down with an injury.

“The tag titles were not going to be unified, and then… that’s when Randy Orton’s career almost ended.

“Riddle and Orton were just gonna stay at as the Raw champions… So without Riddle and Orton, RK-BRO, who are a hot team…they just went with The Usos to hold both belts.”

Dave Meltzer.

The Viper has not competed since the unification match due to a severe back injury with concerns growing that he could be finished in the ring.

De-unification

WWE may not have intended to unify the titles, and the gold will be split soon.

On Raw, the Judgment Day earned a shot at the Usos last week and it was specified that this is for the Raw Tag Team Championships.

A tournament will start on this Friday’s SmackDown to determine the number-one contenders for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

For use of these quotes please give a h/t to SEScoops.

WWE Continues to Tease Splitting Undisputed Tag Team Titles

The era of the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships is coming to an end according to last night’s episode of WWE SmackDown on FOX.

The Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Titles were unified when The Usos (SmackDown) defeated RK-Bro (Raw) on the May 20, 2022 episode of SmackDown.

No other Superstars have held the titles, and the Usos have retained them against the likes of Hit Row, the Brawling Brutes, and Kevin Owens & Matt Riddle.

SmackDown

During this week’s SmackDown, a number-one contenders tournament was set up to determine the next challengers to The Usos.

It was announced that the Banger Bros. (Sheamus and Drew McIntyre) will face the Viking Raiders in the first round of the tournament next week.

This tournament will determine the next challengers for the SmackDown Tag Team titles, not the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships.

Raw

This week’s SmackDown seemingly confirmed plans to split the titles, but talk of a split first began with this week’s Raw.

In the main event, the Judgment Day went the distance in a gauntlet match to become the number one contenders for the Raw Tag Team Titles.

The show ended with Jimmy and Jey having a face-off with Finn Balor’s faction, and raised only their Raw Tag Team gold.

On commentary, Kevin Patrick repeatedly stated that the match would determine the next challengers for the Raw Tag Team titles.

It remains unclear as to when this title match will take place.

The Usos Wins PWI Tag Team 100 for the First Time

Pro Wrestling Illustrated officially announced that its PWI Tag Team 100 list has been finalized, and The Usos have been named the No. 1 tag team in the professional wrestling world for the year.

The list was expanded from 50 to 100 teams for 2022. This marks the first time The Usos earned the honor and the first time a WWE team was honored.

The award was first introduced in 2020, and over the past two years, it was won by AEW’s FTR and The Young Bucks. The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) were ranked #1 in 2021, while The Usos were #4.

FTR had a strong argument to win the award again this year as they’re the current ROH, IWGP, and AAA Tag Team Champions. However, it’s hard to argue that the accomplishments Jimmy and Jey didn’t make them the best tag team in the world.

The Usos’ Run

They unified the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships and broke The New Day’s record for the longest tag title reign in WWE history as they surpassed 500 consecutive days last week.

The Usos competed against the likes of RK-Bro (Matt Riddle & Randy Orton), The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins), The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods), and more while being part of The Bloodline alongside Roman Reigns during the evaluation period.

They defended the titles on Monday Night Raw against Matt Riddle and Kevin Owens.

Jey Uso Finds His Inner Ucey With Sami Zayn At WWE Live Event

The tension between Jey Uso and Sami Zayn has finally eased.

Within the last few months, former Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn integrated himself into WWE’s most dominant faction today, The Bloodline. Though met with open arms from Solo Sikoa and one-half of the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Jimmy Uso, Zayn immediately lost favor with the other half, Jey Uso.

Upon Zayn’s promotion to “Honorary Uso,” Jey was not pleased, revealing his distrust for the new Bloodline addition. In the weeks following, Jey and Sami continued to clash, leading to an intervention from “The Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns on an episode of SmackDown. There, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion demanded that the two solve their issues.

Accordingly, Zayn apologized and attempted to find peace with Jey, telling Reigns that the Uso had lost his “Ucey” feeling lately. Reigns then warned Jey that if he couldn’t find his “inner Ucey again,” then he’d promote Sami Zayn to “full-blown Uce” in his place.

Zayn then received a chance to possibly earn that “full Uso” status at Survivor Series: WarGames. The Bloodline tackled the likes of Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Butch, Ridge Holland and Kevin Owens inside the Men’s WarGames match this past Saturday, and with Zayn’s assistance, they prevailed. As Owens landed a Stunner on Reigns, Zayn jumped in to stop the referee from completing the pinfall count. Then, Zayn delivered a low blow and a helluva kick to his former friend, allowing Jey Uso to land a splash to gain the win for The Bloodline.

Following their victory, Sami and Jey shared a celebratory embrace, effectively ending their internal rivalry, and cementing Zayn’s loyalty to The Bloodline.

The celebration didn’t end there though.

The next night, Sami and Jey were paired up once again, alongside Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa in a WWE live event tag team match. On Sunday from Portland, Maine, the four took on familiar opponents in the form of Drew McIntyre, Kevin Owens, and The Brawling Brutes. Amidst the bout, Sami Zayn and Jey Uso added a handshake onto their hug, in a smiling moment shared between the two.

The Usos Succeeded in WWE “In Spite” of Vince McMahon

The Usos have become one of, if not the greatest tag team in WWE history, but had to overcome much more than their opponents.

Debuting on the main roster in 2010, Jimmy and Jey have become one of the longest-tenured teams in WWE history.

This week, the brothers broke the record for the longest reign as WWE Tag Team Champions of all time, having held the SmackDown Tag Team Titles since July 2021.

In Spite

The Usos have faced and defeated some of the greatest teams in recent history, but arguably their biggest foe was Vince McMahon’s booking.

Speaking on After the Bell, Corey Graves recognized Jimmy and Jey’s recent accomplishment and highlighted how they had to deal with a boss who had little interest in tag wrestling.

“Let’s be honest. The old boss [Vince McMahon] looked at tag team wrestling different than the current boss [WWE’s Head of Talent/Creative Triple H.] But the Usos began succeeding when there was an old boss when the old boss was still in charge.

“The Usos, in spite of the fact that it was his [McMahon’s] never favorite flavor of ice cream, still, week after week after week, would go out there and tear the house down.”

Corey Graves.

Jimmy and Jey secured their record by retaining the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles on last week’s SmackDown against the New Day.

What’s Next for The Usos?

After becoming the longest-reigning WWE Tag Champions of all time, The Usos next high-profile match won’t be for the gold.

Jimmy and Jey are expected to enter WarGames later this month, alongside Sami Zayn, Solo Sikoa and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

The Bloodline are expected face The Brawling Brutes, Drew McIntyre and Kevin Owens, though there are questions about Owens’ status given his recent MCL injury.

Owens, a Raw Superstar, is scheduled to be on this week’s and next week’s episodes of SmackDown.

The Usos are the Longest Reigning WWE Tag Team Champion in History

Jimmy and Jey Uso have made WWE history once again.

November 14, 2022 marks the 484th day of The Usos’ reign with the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships. This number remains significant, as the Usos now eclipse the New Day’s previous record of 483 days with the Raw Tag Team Championships, which lasted from August 23, 2015 to December 18, 2016.

Now, the Usos are the longest reigning Tag Team Champions in WWE history. In honor of their incredible feat, the Usos shared their excitement on Twitter:

Battle Of The Throne

Usos New Day WWE
The Usos vs New Day on November 11th Smackdown

On the November 11 edition of SmackDown, the Usos battled their long-time rivals, the New Day. With the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships on the line, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods looked to preserve their previous set record. The match would surpass 20 minutes, with a plethora of back-and-forth action before Jimmy and Jey gained the upper hand. In the end, Kingston landed into a 1D by the Usos, allowing Jey to get the pinfall victory for his team, and ensure their place in the company’s history books.

The duo first captured the Smackdown Tag Team Championships last year at Money in the Bank in July after defeating Rey and Dominik Mysterio. In May 2022, the team collected the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships by defeating RK-Bro (Matt Riddle and Randy Orton) on SmackDown, subsequently securing themselves as the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions.

Over the last 17 months, The Usos have successfully retained their titles over a dozen times during the respective reign, most recently against New Day, and the Brawling Brutes at WWE Crown Jewel.

3 Tag Teams Who Could Dethrone The Usos in WWE

The Usos defeated New Day tonight on WWE SmackDown and are just a couple of days away from becoming the longest-reigning tag team champions in WWE history. Jimmy and Jey seem unbeatable at the moment and on top of that, they have The Bloodline in their corner.

  • Best Moments of The Usos’ Historic Tag Title Reign in WWE

It will be a tall task for any tag team on RAW or SmackDown to dethrone The Usos. Here are a few teams that may be able to accomplish that goal in the near future:

#3. RK-Bro

Randy Orton and Matt Riddle formed an unlikely bond in WWE. For whatever reason, the pairing worked and RK-Bro was a wildly entertaining duo. Randy Orton and Riddle battled Jimmy and Jey in a Tag Title Unification match on the May 20th episode of WWE SmackDown.

Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns was ringside for the match and wound up getting involved. Riddle and Jey Uso were battling on the top turnbuckle when Roman hopped on the ring apron. The Tribal Chief held onto Jey as Matt went for a Superplex. Riddle crashed to the canvas and Jey was able to capitalize on the interference with a Frog Splash to unify the titles.

It was Orton’s last appearance on the show as he has been out of action with a concerning back injury. Hopefully, The Viper is able to come back to WWE in the near future and reunite with the Original Bro on RAW. Riddle won his rivalry with Seth Rollins and defeated The Visionary at Extreme Rules.

However, Seth Rollins has already become United States Champion since the Fight Pit match last month. Riddle is still hovering around the tag title division and teamed up with New Day on this past Monday’s episode of RAW in a loss to The Bloodline. RK-Bro versus The Usos would be a great match at next year’s WrestleMania in Hollywood.

#2. The Viking Raiders

Erik and Ivar of the Viking Raiders have had one of the strangest main roster runs for a tag team in recent memory. They were known as the War Raiders in NXT and were a dominant tag team to be taken seriously.

They debuted on the main roster on the April 19th edition of RAW as “The Viking Experience”, a ridiculous name that never caught on with fans. Erik and Ivar now use the name for their finishing move.

After having their names changed to The Viking Raiders, they captured the RAW Tag Team Championships from Bobby Roode and Dolph Ziggler on WWE RAW on October 14, 2019. Their title reign lasted 98 days before dropping them to Seth Rollins and former WWE Superstar Buddy Murphy.

The team then went downhill fast and turned into a comedy act. They entered a feud with the Street Profits that was more focused on playing basketball against each other and trying to make fans laugh rather than get invested in the tag team division.

It appears that the Viking Raiders are about to receive another reset in WWE, this time with Sarah Logan by their side. Erik and Sarah are married and she has been featured in a couple of vignettes on SmackDown. The former Riott Squad member was released in 2020. If the Viking Raiders are able to finally recapture what made them a great team in NXT on the main roster, they could pose a legitimate threat to the title reign of The Usos.

#1. Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens

The underlying tension within The Bloodline is certainly going to boil over at some point. Jey Uso let his true feelings about Sami Zayn be known to the WWE Universe on a recent edition of SmackDown. He noted that he doesn’t like Sami’s hair, face, or anything about him. The tag champion added that Sami can’t be part of The Bloodline when he isn’t blood.

The Honorary Uce asked for peace and pointed out that Roman Reigns asked them to work out their differences. Jey shouted that he doesn’t give a damn what the Tribal Chief said and instantly regretted it. Roman threatened to make Sami a full-blown Uce and rename him “Sami Uso” if Jey doesn’t get his head right. Zayn calmed everything down by saying Jey hasn’t been feeling very “Ucey” lately.

Triple H and WWE reportedly had plans for Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn to team up but they were put on hold due to the incredible popularity of the Honorary Uce at the moment. KO approached Sami backstage while he was wearing an Honorary Uce shirt recently and told him that he needs a new shirt.

There will come a time when The Bloodline will turn its back on Sami Zayn and boot him out of the group. It would be awesome to see Sami’s old friend Kevin Owens show up and fight by his side. KO main-evented WrestleMania against Stone Cold Steve Austin and has done very little of note since.

He was involved in a goofy storyline with Ezekiel before disappearing from WWE TV. The Game thinks highly of KO as he quite literally handed him the Universal Championship back in the day, so one has to believe it is only a matter of time before the Prizefighter returns to the product in an impactful way.

The Usos Vow to Make History on Tonight’s WWE SmackDown

The Usos are set to battle the New Day tonight on WWE SmackDown in a historic match for the Undisputed Tag Team Championships.

Jimmy and Jey enter the match as Undisputed Tag Team Champions for 481 days. The New Day currently holds the record for longest-reigning champions at 483 days. If The Usos win tonight’s match and don’t drop the titles at a random WWE Live Event over the weekend, they will be the new record holders in the company.

Our live results will begin alongside tonight’s edition of WWE SmackDown. The SmackDown World Cup and a Six-Pack Challenge to determine Ronda Rousey’s next opponent have also been announced for tonight’s show.

The Usos Deliver Message to WWE Universe ahead of Historic Title match

Cathy Kelly caught up to Jimmy and Jey Uso as they arrived at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana for tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown.

She wondered if fatigue could possibly play a role in the title match tonight for The Usos. Jimmy and Jey successfully defended their Undisputed Tag Team Championships against the Brawling Brutes this past Saturday at WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.

“I think, of course, fatigue is a factor,” said Jimmy Uso. “You know what I’m saying? We’re tired. I’m sure the New Day is tired. But when it is go time out there, it is all about which team wants it the most.”

Jey Uso added that they will make history tonight on SmackDown and tonight is for the family.

That is real talk Cathy,” said Jey Uso. “It is about to get rough, rugged, and raw out there tonight. This right here, we make history tonight. This right here is for the family, this right here is for the ones.

3 Ways Sami Zayn Could Destroy The Bloodline

Sami Zayn’s journey to becoming an Honorary UCE has been wildly entertaining and some of the best content WWE has produced in years.

On Friday’s episode of SmackDown, Roman Reigns made it seem like The Bloodline was finally going to betray Sami. The Honorary Uce had spent months trying to join the group despite Jey Uso’s objections. The Tribal Chief demanded that Sami remove his The Bloodline shirt after he dared to speak.

Roman instructed Jey to rip off the shirt and Uso obliged. The Locker Room leader stood in the ring, shirtless and heartbroken, as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion continued to mock him. Reigns then suddenly changed his tune and tossed him a new “Honorary Uce” shirt to signify he’s a member of The Bloodline. Sami quickly put on the shirt, acknowledged Roman as his Tribal Chief and gave him a hug to end the segment.

While the ideal situation for Sami would be to become Intercontinental Champion and bring more gold to The Bloodline, the odds are that eventually the group will view him as expendable.

https://twitter.com/mckenzieas93V2/status/1573768210293424128?s=20&t=OUrNJqSA6VxfvG41yYyJww

When the time comes, here are three ways The Great Liberator can destroy The Bloodline:

With An Old Friend

The Usos have been Undisputed Tag Team Champions for an incredible 433 days. Sami’s old friend and rival, Kevin Owens, recently tried to talk some sense into The Locker Room Leader but Sami wasn’t hearing it.

Jey Uso then battled Kevin Owens in a singles match and Sami had the opportunity to hit KO with a steel chair but opted not to. This led to Jey getting angry at Sami and taking his eyes off of Owens. Kevin then planted Jey with the Stunner for the pinfall victory.

KO has not held a championship in WWE since he was United States Champion in 2017. He’s never held a tag team championship in the company. It would make sense for Kevin to come to Sami’s rescue if The Bloodline ever turns its back on him. The Usos versus Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens is a match the WWE Universe would certainly be excited about.

From Within

Solo Sikoa made his main roster debut at Clash at the Castle during the main event. Roman Reigns defended the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Drew McIntyre at the Premium Live Event in Cardiff, Wales. It appeared that Drew was going to walk out as the new champion but Sikoa interfered. The Tribal Chief was able to capitalized with his third Spear of the night to retain the championship.

Sikoa then went on to win the NXT North American Championship, successfully defend the title against Madcap Moss on an episode of SmackDown, only to have it stripped from him on the following NXT because was not “sanctioned to compete” in the title match against Carmela Hayes.

Despite those questionable booking decisions, one thing that is not in question is Solo’s admiration for the Honorary Uce. Sikoa has shown no animosity towards Zayn and that has only caused Jey Uso to get more frustrated. Sikoa had his main roster debut match against Drew McIntyre on the September 9th edition of SmackDown.

Solo said he wanted to go into the match alone but told Sami that he appreciates his offer to help him. Jey got frustrated and said that the entire Bloodline would be ringside for the match. On Friday’s episode of SmackDown, Ricochet and Madcap Moss had a conversation with Sami Zayn backstage. They tried to tell him that he’s not actually a part of The Bloodline and Solo brutally attacked them.

It was later announced that Sami & Solo will battle Madcap & Ricochet next week in a tag team match. Sami and Solo could team up against The Usos if The Bloodline were to ever implode, or Zayn could have Sikoa’s back if he decides he’s done answering to The Tribal Chief.

On His Own

Sami Zayn is a former NXT Champion and a three-time Intercontinental Champion. Much like Kevin Owens, he also has never been a tag team champion in the company. Unlike Kevin Owens, he’s never held a major championship in WWE. Owens captured the Universal Championship in 2016 after Triple H betrayed Seth Rollins and hit him with a Pedigree.

This scenario seems highly unlikely, but this is wrestling so anything can happen. Sami’s already become one of the more entertaining parts of SmackDown as he tries to fit in with The Bloodline, it’s hard to imagine how popular he’d be if he was the underdog that refused to stand down against them.

Zayn versus Reigns looks and sounds like a mismatch because it is. However, Daniel Bryan versus Triple H was a mismatch. Daniel Bryan versus Batista and Randy Orton in a Triple Threat was a mismatch.

The crowd bought it because they were invested in Daniel Bryan because he is one of the greatest wrestlers on the planet that also has the ability to connect with fans. In my opinion, Sami has already proven to be more than a B+ player because he made a match with Johnny Knoxville memorable. It is a long shot, but in a weird way it could be what is “best for business”.

The Usos Retain Undisputed Tag Team Titles at WWE SummerSlam

WWE brought in Hall Of Famer Jeff Jarrett to be the special guest referee for the latest match between The Street Profits and Undisputed Tag Team Champions The Usos.

The SummerSlam match featured a slow start with The Usos beating down Dawkins. Ford got the hot tag and hit a flurry of moves. Ford tossed both of them to the floor and Dawkins hit an outside dive.

The Usos with double super kicks to Dawkins then Jimmy with a splash for 2 on Dawkins. There was a near fall when Jey almost hit Jarrett with a superkick, but Jarrett caught it and Dawkins laid out Jey and Ford with a frog splash. Ford argued with Jarrett and was hit with a double super kicks by The Usos. Usos hit their 1D finisher for the win.

This was a rematch from the Money in the Bank pay-per-view where The Usos retained their titles against The Street Profits. There was a controversial finish as the referee missed that Montez Ford had his shoulder up while being pinned.

The Usos defeated RK-Bro this May on SmackDown to unify the SmackDown and Raw Tag Team Titles.

Jarrett will team with Jay Lethal against Ric Flair and Andrade El Idolo at Sunday’s Ric Flair’s Last Match event in the main event also in Nashville.

Special Guest Referee for WWE SummerSlam Title Match Revealed

We now know who the special guest referee for a key WWE SummerSlam title match will be.

At this year’s SummerSlam event, WWE Undisputed Tag Team Champions The Usos will put their gold on the line against the Street Profits. One stipulation added to the match is that there will be a special guest referee.

During the July 15 episode of SmackDown, that referee was revealed.

Jeff Jarrett Will be Referee for WWE SummerSlam

At the conclusion of the most recent SmackDown show, Adam Pearce announced that Jeff Jarrett will be the official for the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championship match at SummerSlam.

The move makes sense for the Nashville area. Jarrett is quite popular in the state of Tennessee. This year’s SummerSlam show will be held inside Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee.

After the announcement was made, The Usos and the Street Profits brawled to end the July 15 SmackDown show.

Big WWE SummerSlam Reveal Taking Place on SmackDown Tonight

A big SummerSlam reveal is set for tonight’s episode of SmackDown.

The July 15 edition of the blue brand’s show will take place inside the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. Featured on the show will be SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan taking on Natalya in a non-title match.

If Natalya wins, she will earn a future title opportunity.

Money in the Bank briefcase holder Theory will go one-on-one with Madcap Moss. Also set for the show will be a singles match between one-half of the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Champions Jimmy Uso and Angelo Dawkins.

SummerSlam Referee to be Revealed

WWE has announced that on tonight’s episode of SmackDown, the special guest referee for the Undisputed Tag Team Title match will be revealed. The Usos are set to put their gold on the line against the Street Profits at the big event.

There has been plenty of speculation on who the referee could be. Some have theorized that Sami Zayn could do The Bloodline’s dirty work by being the special referee. Time will tell if that is the plan.

This year’s SummerSlam event will be held inside Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. The action goes down on July 30.

Undisputed WWE Tag Team Title Match Announced For SummerSlam 2022

Another match for the 2022 SummerSlam premium live event has been announced.

New Tag Title Match Announced

WWE has announced that The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) will defend their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships against The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) at WWE SummerSlam.

The Usos defeated The Street Profits at WWE Money in the Bank. However, Montez’s shoulder was up during the pinfall, giving the Street Profits a valid reason for a rematch.

WWE had the following to say in their announcement post:

Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos say there isn’t a team in WWE who can beat them. After a controversial finish to their recent title matchup against The Street Profits at WWE Money in the Bank, however, their status as “Undisputed” has now come into question. And that question will be settled, one way or the other, in a rematch at SummerSlam!

The Usos have been on an absolute tear since becoming champions, overcoming the best that SmackDown has to offer in their record-setting reign, including unifying the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships against RK-Bro and emerging victorious in a close battle with Shinsuke Nakamura & Riddle on the blue brand.

Although Jimmy & Jey also officially retained the tag team gold against explosive former titleholders Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins at the WWE Money in the Bank Premium Live Event, a replay showed that Ford’s shoulder was clearly off the canvas before the three-count.

At The Biggest Event of the Summer, The Street Profits will be up and looking to both knock The Usos down a peg and finally lay claim to the Undisputed Tag Team Title. Can Ford & Dawkins take back the the championship gold, or will another climb to “Mount Bloodline” knock the wind out of them once and for all?

Find out at SummerSlam, streaming LIVE on Saturday, July 30, at 8 ET/5 PT on Peacock in the United States and on WWE Network everywhere else.

Possible Street Profits Breakup

It was recently reported on the Wrestling Observer Radio that the current plan for Montez Ford is for him to be pushed as a singles star. This could be where the official breakup of The Street Profits takes place.

The Usos Retain Undisputed Tag Team Titles At WWE Money In The Bank

Undisputed Tag Team Champions The Usos vs. The Street Profits took place at Saturday’s WWE Money in the Bank event from the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

The match was mostly even with both teams having dominant moments. Jey with a super kick to Ford when he was diving off the top rope for 2. However, The Usos went back on the attack on Ford. Ford fought back and tagged in Dawkins. Ford and Dawkins hit the blockbuster for a near fall on Jey.

Ford with a dive off the ring post to take out The Usos. Back in the ring, Dawkins with a spinebuster to Jey and a splash off the top rope from Ford for 2 as Jimmy broke up the pinfall. The Usos with superkicks to Ford then the 3D for the win. In a replay, Ford’s right shoulder was off the mat so it ended in storyline controversy.

The two teams have been feuding as of late with members of each team battling it out in singles matches.

The Usos unified the SmackDown and Raw Tag Team Titles by defeating then-Raw Tag Team Champions RK-Bro (Randy Orton and Riddle) in a winner-take-all match on the May 20 edition of SmackDown.

Big WWE Title Match Added To June 3 SmackDown

A big-time championship match has been added to tonight’s June 3 episode of WWE SmackDown.

WWE is known to pivot on the fly and while reports suggested that initial plans were to hold off The Usos defending their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles until Money in the Bank, things have changed in recent days.

That report was updated to mention that WWE officials were considering having the match take place at Hell in a Cell this Sunday (June 5).

As it turns out, we’re getting the match far sooner than anyone anticipated.

WWE has announced that The Usos will put their gold on the line against Riddle and Shinsuke Nakamura on the June 3 episode of SmackDown.

The company also noted that there will be a six-pack challenge to determine the number one contender for Ronda Rousey’s SmackDown Women’s Championship.

That match will feature Raquel Rodriguez, Shayna Baszler, Xia Li, Natalya, Aliyah, and Shotzi.

Fans will also get to see the return of Madcap Moss, who has vowed to get revenge on Happy Corbin.

Plans for Next WWE Tag Team Title Match Revealed

The plans for the next WWE Tag Team Title match have seemingly been revealed.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio reports that The Usos had not been scheduled to defend their WWE Unified Tag Team Titles at the upcoming Hell In A Cell premium event. That plan could very well change.

Their first defense has been planned to come at WWE’s Money In The Bank in Las Vegas on July 2. Meltzer noted that WWE could very well make a change and have the match booked at Hell in a Cell last-minute.

Their opponents have already been locked in. On this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, the team of Matt Riddle and Shinsuke Nakamura defeated The Usos via disqualification to earn a future Tag Team Title opportunity.

Recently, WWE had to change Money In The Bank to a smaller venue, swapping from the original Allegiant Stadium, as advertised, to the smaller MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Initially, it was reported that the plan was for Roman Reigns to defend the WWE Unified World Championship against Riddle at Money In The Bank.

He would then defend it against Randy Orton at WWE SummerSlam, before defending it against Drew McIntyre at Clash At The Castle in Wales.

While the match with Riddle isn’t officially off, it likely won’t be happening at Money In The Bank now.

Roman Reigns recently signed a new deal with WWE, and will be working a lighter schedule. This could be an indication that he won’t be working the Money In The Bank show in July. He was also taken off of advertising for the event when the venue was swapped.

Currently both Riddle and Nakamura’s original tag team partners, Orton and Rick Boogs, respectively, are out dealing with injuries.
