Titus O’Neil Says Hulk Hogan’s Apology Lacked Remorse

Titus O’Neil has released further comment in regards to Hulk Hogan’s apology to the WWE roster on Sunday. O’Neil had earlier expressed support for the statement released by the New Day but has now released further comment.

Titus O’Neil Statement on Hulk Hogan

To my gracious fans and the WWE Universe.

The reports and rumors concerning my boycotting “Extreme Rules” in Pittsburgh is false and inaccurate. I was not scheduled to attend or be a participant in the Extreme Rules match/production and was otherwise not booked for the show.

The talent present in Pittsburgh, which I was a part of, was asked to attend a mandatory meeting in which Mr. Terry Bollea addressed everyone and informed the same that he would be reinstated into the WWE Hall of Fame. At no point during, after or otherwise, did I make any scene concerning Mr. Bollea’s communication to the talent. In addition, let it be known that I did not refuse to shake Mr. Bollea’s hand; we did not have any type of one-on-one interaction whatsoever that would or did necessitate any exchange between us individually.

As to the reinstatement of Mr. Bollea, I can only communicate that I am a proponent of second and even third chances for individuals that show true remorse, acknowledgment of wrongdoing, fulfill their punishment, if applicable, and otherwise put forth sincere efforts to correct the issues.

Unfortunately, I must echo the sentiment and dissatisfaction expressed by many of my fellow contemporaries concerning Mr. Bollea’s apology and its lack of true contrition, remorsefulness and a desire to change. Mr. Bollea’s apology “that he didn’t know he was being recorded” is not remorse for the hateful and violent utterances he made which reprise language that has caused violence against blacks and minorities for centuries.

I stand firm in my position that Mr. Bollea is entitled to reinstatement; he was and is a role model, hero and icon to countless people. I hope that Mr. Bollea’s missteps in communicating to the WWE talent in Pittsburgh are not repeated to his fans and I expect that he shall pursue an agenda that clearly communicates to all third parties that his language was inappropriate, wrong and should not be tolerated in a civilized and inclusive society.

As the father of two young Black men, I have spent their entire life and the majority of my adult life with a singular focus; being a role model for my children and young black boys and girls. I take tremendous pride in my charity work and the community outreach programs that I have fostered via the platform I have been given. I teach my sons love and tolerance for everybody, but I also teach them to operate in truth and respect.

I hope this clears up any confusion. I, like New Day, will continue to use my platform to positively affect, entertain, embrace, celebrate and love people from all backgrounds both inside and outside of the WWE Universe.

Sincerely,

Thaddeus Bullard aka WWE SuperStar “Titus O’Neil”

Titus O’Neil Issues Statement On Hulk Hogan’s WWE Reinstatement

Titus O’Neil has released a statement in response to Hulk Hogan’s reinstatment into the WWE Hall of Fame. He is stating that he agrees in full with a statement released earlier by the New Day.

O’Neil has been the subject of several unconfirmed reports in recent days regarding the Hogan situation. He is denying those reports and is expressing support and agreement with the statement released by New Day earlier.

Mark Henry Comments on Hulk Hogan

Mark Henry recently commented that the WWE locker room is split 50/50 on the issue.

“The first thing I thought was I’m hoping he is able to address everybody and voice some concerns. He made an announcement. He apologized. He’s done a lot of stuff with the Boys And Girls Club,” Henry said. “But I didn’t want to lose track of the fact that there’s more work to be done and I think that’s going to happen.”

Booker T is one wrestler who has had Hogan’s back for some time now. He credits Hogan with helping his career when both were in WCW.

“I talk about Hulk Hogan being in my corner, back in the day and a lot of the boys they may look at me and say, ‘Why is Booker T talking to [Hogan]?’ Booker said on his podcast back in May.

“Back in the day, Sister Sherri was an intricate detail to Harlem Heat, and our success, and it was all because of Hulk Hogan. Saying ‘Hey man, those are the guys you need to put your money behind.’”

“Everybody deserves a second chance,” Booker T told TMZ Sports. “It’s what life is all about.”

Titus O’Neil Files Counter-Suit For Incident On “Swerved”

The legal issues between Titus O’Neil and WWE cameraman David Anderson continue.

Anderson filed a lawsuit against O’Neil and WWE back in April claiming that O’Neil got very angry after getting shocked by Paige on WWE Network’s “Swerved,” before kicking the camera out of Anderson’s hand. Anderson claims the kick injured his hand and he sued for $15,000 in damages.

PWInsider reports that O’Neil has filed a counter-suit on June 19th for $15,000 as well. It also alleges conspiracy to commit battery, negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress and more.

In an interesting twist, O’Neil’s counter-suit also details that he “acted out of necessity to prevent being assaulted.” He also noted that the shock prank wasn’t on the list of approved pranks by WWE’s then-Vice President of Development, Brian Terwillinger. The prank was apparently “unbeknownst to WWE.”

We’ll keep you updated on the legal situation between O’Neil and Anderson as more information becomes available.

Titus O’Neil Claims He Has ‘Everything’ To Become A Champion In WWE

WWE RAW Superstar Titus O’Neil recently did an interview with Natalya for her Calgary Sun blog, here are the highlights:

Titus O’Neil on his childhood full of hardships:

“My mother was the victim of sexual assault and I was a product of that unfortunate circumstance. She did all that she could with little to no money most of the time and set an incredible example for me with her work ethic. Despite my mother’s hardships, she was always a very giving person and our struggles allowed us to see how to get by with minimal resources. It also taught me important life lessons and because of that I learned how to work, not just for what I wanted, but also for what I needed and what my family would also need in the future. My test became my testimony and my ‘mess became my message.”

On his competitive spirit:

“My desire to be great in any area of my life all comes from my competitive spirit. I love competition and for years I was told what I couldn’t achieve in life. Once I started achieving, I developed the heart and mindset to help others do what some say couldn’t be done. Everything I have was acquired through hard work and I try to instill that in my life. It’s one of the most important aspects of being a WWE Superstar: working hard.”

On wanting to become a champion in WWE:

“I’ve always had goals to be as successful as possible in multiple areas of my life. I feel I have everything it takes to be a champion in WWE. I also have goals of continuing success outside of the ring with my charitable efforts through my Family Foundation as well as hopefully venturing into movies and television.”

Daniel Bryan Shares Moment He Had With Titus O’Neil After Embarrassing GRR Fall

SmackDown Live star Daniel Bryan recently did an interview with Inside The Ropes to talk about several professional wrestling topics. In the interview, Bryan discusses his experience working in Saudi Arabia at the Greatest Royal Rumble.

Bryan shared a story he had with Titus O’Neil shortly after O’Neil’s embarrassing fall on his way to the ring during the Rumble. Bryan said Titus sort of took out his embarrassment on his face when he got into the ring:

“Titus slides into the ring and punches me in the face like really hard. He’s got these big, huge hands and it’s like ‘boom.’ I’m like ‘woah, what happened?’ I was like enraged and I was was going to kick him in the face.

“I glance up and you see the tron and they played it like twelve times in a row of him tripping, falling and sliding under the ring. I’m like ‘you know what? I understand. I’m going to go over here,’”

Titus O’Neil Reveals Which Star He Would Like To Tag With For His Final Match

Titus O’Neil has been in news lately especially after he accidentally fell down and slide under the ring during the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia last month.

Titus recently had an interview with Richmond.com, where he talked about his time as a college football player, choosing wrestling as a career and more.

Talking about Dave Bautista, O’Neil revealed that the former World Champion is one of his closest friends and said that he had several conversations with him about wrestling before pursuing a career in the industry.

When asked who he would like to be his partner if he had one final match, the Raw Star took the name of Batista again, revealing that they were neighbors for years:

“Dave Bautista. We were neighbors for years. He’s one of my closest friends. Long before I got into WWE, we became friends. That’s the beauty of life, you never know why you get to meet certain people.”

Continuing on the topic, Titus O’Neil also revealed the team he would like to go against in his final match, saying that he would like to face John Cena and the Rock.

Apart from this, The former NXT Star talked about how his sons inspired him to do wrestling and more. You can check out his complete interview here.

Could Rich Swann Be Considered For A WWE Return?, Batista Praises WWE Superstar

Is WWE Considering Bringing Back Rich Swann?

Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Rich Swann was released from WWE back in February for a domestic abuse incident that occurred with his wife. Since then, Swann and his wife have reconciled and he has begun working for IMPACT Wrestling.

PWInsider Elite’s Mike Johnson recently discussed the possibility of WWE bringing back Swann, and said he believes the company could bring him back at some point:

“I think WWE will bring him back at some point. Whenever somebody gets in trouble, WWE has them serve their penance and then they eventually get brought back into the fold. I think that is the process that Rich Swann is in right now. He’s working for Impact but he’s not signing a 5-year contract.”

Batista Praises Titus O’Neil

WWE Superstar Titus O’Neil took to Twitter to celebrate staying in shape at the age of 41. He’s nearing his goal of cutting down to 270 pounds, as he currently weighs 284. His good friend and former WWE Superstar, Batista, responded to O’Neil’s Tweet and praised him for his hard work:

New Arguments in Lawsuit Against Titus O’Neil & WWE

The cameraman that suffered an injury during the filming of WWE Swerved has filed an amended suit against WWE and Titus O’Neil, according to reports from PWInsider. Donald Anderson has filed suit with arguments to counter WWE’s claim that they are not under Florida court’s jurisdiction.

The amended filing has several quotes by Triple H and WWE executive John Saboor about the importance of WWE Performance Center in Florida. These saihe quotes are being used by Anderson to argue that the company is being contradictory to its claim that they are not under jurisdiction in Florida as they don’t conduct business over there.

The lawsuit states that Anderson was placed in a dangerous working environment by the WWE. During the filming of a segment of WWE Swerved where Paige gives Titus an electric shock as a prank, Titus got enraged and kicked a video camera out of Anderson’s hand. Anderson claims that this incident resulted in injuries in his hands, fingers and wrists that put him out of work for six months.

Anderson is now seeking $15,000 in damages and other unspecified punitive damages.

WWE Shop Releases Titus O’Neil Shirt In Honor of GRR Moment

Titus O’Neil tripped on his way to the ring last Friday at the Greatest Royal Rumble. The moment caused the commentary team to break out in laughter and the production team to play multiple replays from several different angles.

It took WWE just 3 days to get a T-shirt commemorating the moment up on WWE Shop. O’Neil took to Twitter recently to announce his new “Rumble, Stumble, or Slide… Do It Worldwide” merchandise.

Titus O’Neil in WWE

O’Neil’s unintended comedic antics from Saudi Arabia caught the eye of new Raw Superstar, Baron Corbin. The Lone Wolf is in the beginning stages of a rivalry with recent call-up, No Way Jose, but took the time to belittle O’Neil last night in a backstage segment on Raw.

Later in the evening, O’Neil slid down to ringside for the Corbin vs No Way Jose match.

The 41-year-old O’Neil might be hoping the recent attention turns into a push. O’Neil and Apollo Crews had a bit of a run earlier this year when they defeated the Bar in multiple non-title matches before losing a championship match to the team the night after the Royal Rumble. The wins over the Bar are the only televised victories O’Neil has had in 2018.

The last time Titus O’Neil won a single’s match on WWE programming was almost a year ago. He defeated Kalisto on the May 29th, 2017 episode of Raw from Greenville, South Carolina.

O’Neil has been with the company for 9 years, having signed in 2009. Prior to signing with the company, he had been playing in the Arena Football League where he ended up after a successful college career with the University of Florida. Despite his lengthy run with the company, O’Neil has only ever held a championship once. As one half of the Prime Time Players with Darren Young, O’Neil won the WWE Tag Team Championships in 2015.

Titus O’Neil Reacts to Greatest Royal Rumble Botch

Last night’s Greatest Royal Rumble event from Saudi Arabia was historic for many reasons…Daniel Bryan broke the record for longest time ever spent in a Rumble match at over 1 hour and 5 minutes and Braun Strowman eliminated 13 men, the most ever in a Rumble match.

But one of the most talked about moments from last night’s event came from one of the most unlikely circumstances. If you watched the show then you almost certainly know that I am referring to THAT Titus O’Neil botch.

For those who are unaware Titus had an unfortunate stumble whilst entering the first ever 50 man iteration of the Rumble match, the production crew appeared to cover the botch well with a quick camera change to the ring before again focusing on Titus recovering from under the ring apron. Vince McMahon reportedly found the situation “hilarious” and decided to focus on the botch with multiple replays.

Titus has now taken to Twitter to react to the unfortunate slip and it appears as though he is going to use this opportunity to get those checks “right into the bank.”

Check out Titus’ reaction below and tell us if you think he tripped intentionally in the comments.

More On Lawsuit Against Titus O’Neil & WWE

Back in 2015 an incident occurred on WWE Network’s “Swerved” in which, allegedly,  Titus O’Neil got very upset after being shocked by WWE Superstar Paige, and proceeded to kick the camera out of cameraman Donald Anderson’s hand, injuring him in the process.

PWInsider reports that Anderson is filing a lawsuit against O’Neil and the WWE in the state of Florida, after finding success in transitioning the case out of California – where the lawsuit was originally attempted to be filed. He is seeking $15,000 in damages in addition to whatever punitive damages the Pasco County of Florida orders as well.

Originally, the lawsuit in California sought $1.2 million in damages – that’s an expensive hand. The lawsuit also claims O’Neil “was known by WWE as possessing significant anger management issues.” It should also be noted that the original lawsuit filed in California suggested Anderson received medical bills up to $150,000, while the new one in Florida mentions no such thing.

Video: Uber Driver Goes Crazy When WWE Stars Get Into His Car

The WWE is currently touring in South Africa at the moment, and it looks like they’re making fans happy even outside the ring.

Despite being in Africa; Seth Rollins, Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Titus O’Neil are still using Uber as a means for transportation. Their driver just so happened to be a WWE fan and absolutely freaked out when he realized who he’d be driving for.

The driver admitted that he watched them on TV every weekend, and also revealed a funny little tidbit about himself. It turns out that he shares the same name as former NXT Champion Sami Zayn.

Titus O’Neil caught most of their interaction with the fan on video and uploaded it to his Twitter. It’s a truly amazing and hilarious thing to watch. Check it out here below:

Raw Tag Team Title & Pre-Show Matches Set For WWE Elimination Chamber

WWE Elimination Chamber 2018 now has two tag team matches and one of them has gold on the line.

The Bar (Sheamus & Cesaro) will defend their Raw Tag Team Championships against Titus Worldwide (Titus O’Neil & Apollo) on the main card. It’s an interesting match-up as Apollo teased a split from Titus on a recent edition of WWE’s Mixed Match Challenge. Could the full turn come to fruition on Sunday night?

Read part of WWE’s announcement below:

“Since solidifying themselves as an elite tandem, Raw Tag Team Champions Cesaro & Sheamus have claimed, “We don’t set the bar; WE ARE THE BAR!” At WWE Elimination Chamber, however, that bar may very well be cleared when the reigning titleholders go to war against Titus Worldwide.”

That’s Not All

As far as the pre-show match goes, that slot belongs to The Good Brothers (Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson) vs. The Miztourage (Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel). This of course will be part of the WWE Elimination Chamber Kickoff show. That announcement can also be seen below:

“Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson have never called someone a nerd and not wanted to beat them up, and the former Raw Tag Team Champions will get just such a chance when they face the two most meddlesome enforcers on the Raw roster — The Miztourage — at WWE Elimination Chamber Kickoff.”

Is Titus Worldwide Coming To An End?, Possibility Of Having An NXT Match On WrestleMania 34

– While Dave Meltzer was discussing this week’s Mixed Match Challenge match on Wrestling Observer Radio, there was some speculation that Titus Worldwide could be over. Here’s what Meltzer had to say:

“I don’t know if Titus Worldwide is over but they certainly gave the impression that it could be. Apollo pretty much turned on Titus and Dana Brooke got destroyed by Nia Jax. We’ll have to see how that all plays out on RAW next Monday.”

Most angles from the Mixed Match Challenge don’t usually cary over into RAW or SmackDown, but Meltzer suggested this looks like a turn:

“He definitely didn’t turn badly on Titus but he definitely turned on him.”

Check out the segment here:

– Also on the mailbag portion of Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer was asked about the possibility of having an NXT match on the WrestleMania 34 card. Meltzer said that due to the fact NXT TakeOver happens the night before he doubts an NXT match or NXT Title match will be put on the Mania card:

“I seriously doubt it now. They aren’t going to have enough time for what they need to have. It’s going to be one of those 7-hour shows and an NXT show the night before anyways. I would really would be surprised if they did that. They may have someone from NXT in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal or something. If they have a Women’s Battle Royal, they may have a few NXT women in there as well. As far as NXT Championship matches, I would think no.”

WWE’s First Female Wrestler From India Reports To PC, Titus O’Neil Honored By NAACP

– Kavita Devi, the first female professional wrestler of Indian nationality to wrestle in WWE, recently reported to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, according to Squared Circle Sirens.

A former powerlifter who won gold while representing India at the 2016 South Asian Games, Devi began her wrestling career the very same year training under The Great Khali. She participated in the Mae Young Classic last summer, where Dakota Kai eliminated her in the first round. The match drew a lot of interest as it was WWE’s most watched YouTube video related to the Mae Young Classic with over 17 million views.

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9TZNPmEBnk&w=620&h=349]

WWE announced her signing in October and noted that she was expected to begin training at the WWE Performance Center in January.

Goldust Asks Mandy Rose Out On A Date (Video), WWE Network Classic Content For March

– According to PWInsider.com, the next series of classic content to be added to the WWE Network will be episodes of WWF All-Star Wrestling. The series will be added to the Vault section next month.

WWF All-Star Wrestling was a syndicated show that consisted of top-tier or mid-card talent defeating enhancement talent (jobbers) and at times a “feature” match between main WWF talent. The show ran from May 20, 1972, through August 31, 1986, at which point it was replaced by WWF Wrestling Challenge.

– The Tampa Bay Times has a story on Titus O’Neil wanting to inspire kids with Black Panther, the latest Marvel superhero movie set to hit theaters Feb. 16.

“I’m 40 years old and I’ve never seen a Marvel character that looked like me, as an African-American male,” O’Neil said.

“This will be the first time I’ve seen a superhero on screen that looks like me and I want kids to not only be able to see superheroes on the screen but also to view themselves as superheroes.

“If they see that on screen, then maybe they can be the next doctor or lawyer or president, whatever they can be. This could be a great teaching moment if we can get them into theaters.”

WWE Championship Presented To Manchester Arena Staff & Emergency Responders

On May 22nd 2017, Manchester Arena was targeted during a terror attack at an Ariana Grande concert. The attack resulted in the death of 23 people, as well as causing injuries to another 500, only 2 months after a previous terror attack in London.

During the terror attack in London, an off duty police officer, Charlie Guenigault jumped into service and assisted those in need. The heroic amateur rugby player was stabbed while protecting another officer, by tackling 1 of the 3 attackers to the ground. Charlie sustained injuries to his leg, head, back and stomach, literally putting his body on the line to protect and serve – even when off duty.

A month afterwards, Charlie Guenigault was surprised by Triple H who presented him with a custom made WWE Championship Title, to honour and respect his pure heroism in the face of an extreme and horrific situation.

Prior to the presentation, Sami Zayn had sent a personal video message as the officer wore Zayn’s “Worlds Apart” t-shirt.

A similar gesture was made to the staff of the Manchester Arena, and the local Manchester emergency services, as WWE superstars presented another custom Championship title.

Manchester WWE Championship

Titus O’Neil, Matt Hardy, Bailey, and Mickie James took part in the presentation on behalf of WWE who are currently taping RAW and SmackDown Live at the Manchester Arena during the UK tour.

Matt Hardy gave the following short statement:

To the staff of the Manchester Arena and the incredible Emergency Services who put their lives before others to help, we thank you. As a token of our respect and gratitude, we present you with this WWE Title, our way of recognising true champions.

Titus O’Neil added:

WWE has a fantastic and longstanding relationship with the Manchester Arena, dating back almost 20 years. As we have done for two decades, as we will tonight and tomorrow night, and as we will into the future… we stand with you, and we stand with Manchester.

Titus O’Neil Talks About His Incident With Vince McMahon, Being A WWE Superstar, More

Titus O’Neil appeared on the latest edition of Chasing Glory With Lilian Garcia to talk about various topics. Here are the highlights:

Being a WWE Superstar:

“It’s a scripted program. No matter how good or bad of a wrestler I could be, if I’m written a certain way, I can be written a certain way. I don’t lose track of the fact that regardless of whether I’m the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, or the Universal Champion, or the Intercontinental Champion, or the Tag Team Champion, regardless of what title I hold in regards to the company and the title, I’m going to remain the professional that I am and I’m going to remain the person that I am. Even if I was the Universal Champion, the way that I act, the things that I do both inside and outside of WWE would not change. It would only put I guess more emphasis on what it is that I’ve already been doing. So for me, I look at like, okay I have an opportunity to continue to help change hopefully the narrative and the stereotypes that come along with being a wrestler per say, that’s what they call us, but we actually really are Superstars. We do so much more than wrestling. We got guys acting, and activists, and advocates, doing so much more than just going out and doing moves in the ring. So for me, I feel like I am a WWE Champion. I’m everything that this company should have in a Superstar, not only from a physical standpoint, but really from a business standpoint.”

His incident with Vince McMahon that led to him being suspended:

“I still don’t understand it. I literally put me my hand out and said, ‘Ladies first.’ So I don’t know what the wrong time is to say, ‘Ladies first’ or the right time. It’s water under the bridge. It happened and I took ownership of it regardless if I was right, wrong, or indifferent, or if the situation could have been handled different. It happened. I served my suspension and its over with. It goes back to the fact that I know who I am and I know what I did and I know why I did it and God has rewarded me tenfold.”
