WWE TLC Results & Discussion (12/4)

WWE TLC 2016 took place on Sunday, December 4th at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX.

Bray Wyatt & Randy Orton def. Rhyno & Heath Slater: Slater and Rhyno’s tag titles are on the line in this one. Rhyno starts things off, which Mauro notes is the first time Rhyno started the match off since he started teaming with Slater. Rhyno hits a flying clothesline on Wyatt, then tags in Slater. Orton and Wyatt take control of the match against Slater, then Wyatt beats down Slater in the corner. Orton tags back in and hits a spinning powerslam on Slater, then he lets Wyatt tag back in. Slater gets the hot tag to Rhyno and Rhyno starts working on Wyatt. Rhyno hits a flying shoulder block off the middle rope, then he punches Orton off the apron. Rhyno measures Orton for The Gore at ringside, but Luke Harper pushes ORton out of the way and takes Rhyno’s spear. During the commotion Orton tagged in, and when Rhyno goes to set up Wyatt for the Gore, Orton runs in and hits Rhyno with an RKO instead. Orton pins and gets the win, and we have new Tag Team Champions.

– Dean Ambrose gives an interview backstage where he says there’s nothing easy about winning a TLC match. Ambrose says “horrible pain and suffering equals glory” and there are going to be hard times tonight. Immediately after, AJ Styles does an interview where he says knocking Dean Ambrose down isn’t the problem, it’s keeping him down. He says after some tables, ladders, and chairs tonight, Ambrose won’t be able to get up until after AJ has won.

Nikki Bella def. Carmella: This one is a no disqualification match. Nikki goes for a powerbomb at ringside early on, but Carmella reverses it into a hurricanrana into the ring steps. Back in the ring. Carmella hits a vertical suplex then starts working on Nikki’s knee. Carmella grabs a Kendo stick from under the ring and starts beating Nikki with it. Nikki makes a brief comeback, but Carmella drops her again with kicks to Nikki’s bad knee. Nikki grabs a fire extinguisher and sprays Carmella with it, then hits the TKO for the win. After the match, Carmella cuts a promo on Nikki.

– Daniel Bryan cuts a promo in the back about The Miz’s upcoming Intercontinental Championship defense against Dolph Ziggler. The Miz interrupts and complains that Bryan has a vendetta against him, and says he wishes it was Bryan in the ring instead of Ziggler.

The Miz def. Dolph Ziggler: The Miz’s Intercontinental Title is on the line in this one. The champion takes things to the outside early on where he drops Ziggler with a big boot. The Miz beats down Ziggler with a ladder, then drop-toe-holds Ziggler right into a ladder. The Miz attempts to powerbomb Ziggler into a ladder that’s leaned up against the ring, but Ziggler gets out and hits a tornado DDT on Miz into the ladder. Back in the ring, Ziggler slams The Miz into another ladder, then hits a flying elbow drop fora two count. Ziggler attempts a superkick, but The Miz grabs his leg and pulls him into a ladder. The Miz continues beating down Ziggler, then he goes up the ladder for the belt. Ziggler pushes the ladder and leaves The Miz hanging from the belt, then The Miz falls and starts selling his knee. Ziggler starts climbing the ladder, but The Miz powerbombs him off and onto another ladder. The Miz and Ziggler both climb the ladder and fight on the top of them. Ziggler headbutts Miz and sends Miz flying down to the mat. The Miz comes back up and hits Ziggler below the belt twice then pushes him off the ladder. The Miz grabs his IC Title belt from the ceiling to win the match. The Miz cuts a promo after the match calling Ziggler a loser and he dedicates his victory to Daniel Bryan.

Baron Corbin def. Kalisto: Corbin starts off in control, but Kalisto quickly dropkicks him to the outside and follows up with a suicide dive. After some brawling at ringside, Corbin throws Kalisto into a pile of chairs, then back into the ring where he regains control of the match. Kalisto comes back with a drop toe hold on Corbin into a chair. Kalisto hurricanranas Corbin into another chair, then goes up top. Kalisto comes flying off with a senton splash onto Corbin onto a pile of chairs. Corbin rolls outside and Kalisto goes for a suicide dive, but Corbin catches him and hits the Deep Six on the floor at ringside. Corbin misses several chair shots at ringside, and Kalisto comes back with some kicks and hurricanrana off the fan barricade. Back in the ring, Kalisto lays a chair on Corbin and hits a moonsault onto it, but Corbin kicks out at two. Kalisto makes a pile of chairs in the middle of the ring, then goes to the top rope. Kalisto comes flying off, but Corbin hits him out of the air with a steel chair. Corbin follows up with an End of Days into the pile of chairs.

– Natalya cuts a promo backstage. She is asked about Carmella’s claims that Natalya was Nikki’s backstage attacker at Survivor Series, and Natalya calls Carmella a liar and walks away.

Alexa Bliss def. Becky Lynch: Lots of back and forth action between Becky and Alexa in the opening minutes, with several near-table spots. After some brawling at ringside, Alexa throws Becky back in the ring and lays her on a table. Alexa climbs the turnbuckle, but Becky hops up and knocks Alexa down. Becky goes for a superplex, but Alexa fights out. Alexa knocks Becky down, then stands up the table up against the turnbuckle. Becky comes back with a series of clotheslines. Becky goes for a t-bone suplex on Alexa through the table, but Alexa fights out and drops Becky. Becky gets Alexa in the Dis-arm-her, but Alexa gets out. Becky lays a table across the bottom ropes, the drop-toe-holds Alexa into it. They start fighting on the ring apron, then Alexa powerbombs Becky off the apron through a table at ringside for the win. Alexa celebrates with the Women’s Title in the ring, while Becky tells an interviewer at ringside that she doesn’t want to talk.

AJ Styles (c) def. Dean Ambrose: This one is the TLC Match for AJ Styles’ World Championship. Ambrose starts things off with a clothesline then stomps a mudhole in AJ in the corner. Ambrose and AJ start fighting over a ladder in the middle of the ring until Ambrose slams it into Styles’ head. Ambrose clotheslines AJ to the outside, then brawls with him up the ramp where there are plenty of tables, ladders, and chairs. Ambrose throws AJ over a table then hits him in the head with it, then he throws AJ into some chairs. Ambrose hits a vertical suplex on AJ onto a steel ramp, then they brawl through the crowd. Ambrose puts a trash can over AJ’s head then clotheslines him down, before throwing him back to ringside. Ambrose gets on the fan barricade and comes flying off of it towards AJ, but AJ catches him in mid-air with a dropkick. AJ then hits a flying clothesline on Ambrose up against the fan barricade. Ambrose crotches AJ on top of the fan barricade, then hits him with a chair. Back in the ring, Ambrose and AJ continue going back-and-forth with a ladder. AJ slams Ambrose on top of a ladder on the mat, then follows up with a knee drop to the head of the challenger. Ambrose comes back with a slingshot that sends AJ flying into a ladder and out of the ring. Ambrose throws the ladder from inside the ring onto AJ Styles at ringside. Ambrose grabs a table and starts setting it up in the ring until AJ rolls back in the ring and starts beating down Ambrose with a steel chair. AJ then side-walk-slams Ambrose onto an unfolded chair, and continues beating on Ambrose with chairs. AJ grabs more chairs from ringside and throws them on the mat. AJ unfolds four chairs facing each other and tries to suplex Ambrose into it, but Ambrose reverses and suplexes AJ through the four chairs. After a series of reversals, AJ suplexes Ambrose into a table standing up against the turnbuckle, and both men are down. Ambrose comes back with a lariat, then throws AJ out to ringside. Ambrose follows up with a suicide dive, then slams AJ’s head into the announce table. Ambrose sets up a ladder on the Spanish announce table, and lays AJ on the English announce tale. Ambrose climbs the ladder and comes off with a flying elbow drop on Styles through the announce table. Ambrose throws another ladder in the ring as AJ lays at ringside. Ambrose sets up the ladder and starts climbing, but AJ springboards off the top rope with a Phenomenal Forearm that knocks Ambrose down to the mat. Both men are slow to get up, then AJ attempts a Styles Clash. Ambrose reverses it and swings AJ into the ladder. Ambrose starts climbing the ladder and AJ tries to powerbomb him off of it, but Ambrose reverses into a hurricanrana that sends AJ to the outside. AJ drops Ambrose with a kick at ringside, then hops on the ring apron and does his patented moonsault into a reverse DDT. AJ lays Ambrose on a table at ringside, then climbs back in the ring. AJ springboards off the top rope and hits a 450 splash onto Ambrose through the table. Back in the ring, AJ starts climbing the ladder until James Ellsworth walks down the ramp and distracts him. AJ comes down the ladder and starts beating down Ellsworth at ringside. AJ goes for a Styles Clash on Ellsworth off the ring steps, but Ambrose breaks it up with a clothesline. Ambrose hits the Dirty Deeds on Styles on the ring steps, then gets in the ring and starts climbing the ladder. AJ climbs up the other side of the ladder and starts fighting with Ambrose, but Ambrose knocks him off and AJ falls to ringside. Ambrose is about to grab the title belts, but James Ellsworth pushes the ladder over and Dean goes flying through two tables at ringside! Ellsworth has officially turned on Ambrose. AJ gets back in the ring, climbs the ladder, and grabs his WWE World Title belt as Ellsworth cheers him on from ringside. AJ Styles wins the match and is still the Champ That Runs The Camp.

WWE Smackdown & 205 Live Reaction (11/29)

WWE Smackdown (11/29)

This week’s episode of Smackdown kicked off with Renee Young in the ring. Alexa Bliss and Becky Lynch joined her in the ring for a contract signing for their Smackdown Women’s Championship match this Sunday at WWE TLC. Alexa Bliss told Renee Young to get out of the ring. Bliss also scolded Renee for her fashion choices. Becky Lynch then compared Alexa to her four year old cousin. Bliss continued to insult Becky Lynch and they both signed the contract. After they both signed it, they brawled in the ring. Lynch hit the Becksplex on Alexa Bliss. Alexa then fought back and shoved Becky through a table off of the turnbuckle.

Reaction: I thought this promo was really good. Becky Lynch can be a bit of adventure on the microphone but tonight she did a good job. Alexa Bliss is excellent on the microphone and her facial expressions are hilarious. I find this feud to be much more interesting than the one between Charlotte and Sasha Banks on Raw.

Dolph Ziggler & Kalisto vs Baron Corbin & The Miz

Corbin dominated the match early and threw Ziggler out of the ring. The Miz was then tagged in and he immediately grabbed a ladder from under the ring. Ziggler got up and connected with a DDT on The Miz outside the ring. Ziggler then hit Corbin with a Superkick. Back in the ring, Ziggler tagged in Kalisto. The Miz hit Kalisto with a boot to the face and dove outside the ring onto Ziggler. Miz then launched Ziggler into the barricade surroinding the ring.

Kalisto then dove onto Corbin outside the ring. Ziggler hit a Superkick on The Miz as he was lying on the ring apron. Maryse shoved the ladder into Ziggler’s face. Kalisto landed the Salida del Sol on The Miz in the ring. Before the referee could count to three, Baron Corbin nailed Kalisto in the back with a chair. The referee then disqualified The Miz and Baron Corbin.

Winners via DQ: Dolph Ziggler & Kalisto

Reaction: This was a quick match but it served a purpose. Ziggler will be facing The Miz in a ladder match for the IC Title on Sunday. Corbin will be squaring off with Kalisto in a chairs match at TLC. Both the ladder and a chair came into play during this match. I like it when things make sense, don’t you?

American Alpha were interviewed backstage about their match tonight versus Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton. Gable and Jordan stated that they will prove again tonight why they are the best team in the WWE.

Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton and Luke Harper were then shown backstage. Orton interrupted Wyatt and questioned Luke Harper. Orton asked Harper if he was going to do what needs to be done tonight against Kane. Harper looked aggravated and Wyatt instructed Harper to go send Kane back to hell. There is obviously some friction between Harper and Orton. I do not believe that Harper is completely sold on Orton joining the Wyatt Family.

Carmella came down to the ring for a match but that never happened. Carmella gave a special message to John Cena. Carmella apologized for what she will do to his girlfriend, Nikki Bella at TLC. Carmella claimed that she was going to rearranged Nikki’s “Bella twins” and her face as well. Nikki Bella came sprinting from backstage and attacked Carmella. The referee seperated them and that allowed Carmella to haul off and slap Nikki in the face. Nikki then got up and continued the assault on Carmella.

Ambrose Asylum w/ Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose introduced James Ellsworth as his first guest on the Ambrose Asylum. An “Ellsworth!” chant broke out amongst the crowd. Ambrose poked fun at Ellsworth’s old wrestling boots. Ellsworth thanked Ambrose for helping him become an official WWE Superstar. Ellsworth stated that if Ambrose ever needed anything he would do it. Ambrose asked Ellsworth to wash his car, do his laundry and pick him up a six-pack and some candy for later.

Ambrose asked Ellsworth who he will be rooting for this Sunday at TLC. Ellsworth stated that it would be an honor to wrestle Dean Ambrose for the WWE World Championship. AJ Styles interrupted the party and stood on the announce table. Styles poked fun at Ellsworth and called him a dummy. Ambrose stated that Styles had then lost to a dummy three times.

Styles got in the ring and claimed that he was tired of Ambrose making him out to be a joke. Styles demanded respect and claimed that he was going to beat the hell out of Ambrose at TLC. Styles dared Ellsworth to show up during his match againt Ambrose at TLC. Ambrose claimed that Styles was weak mentally. Ambrose stated that this Sunday the fun and games were over. Ambrose went on to state that he will recapture the WWE World Championship at TLC.

Styles pushed Ellsworth into Ambrose who fell into a ladder. AJ then whipped Ellsworth into a table and smashed Dean Ambrose with the steel steps. Styles returned to the ring and beatdown Ellsworth. Styles hit Ellsworth with a ladder and then tossed him out of the ring. Ellsworth’s feet got caught up in the bottom rope and Styles hit him with a steel chair. AJ then hit the Styles Clash on Ellsworth off of the steps onto the floor outside the ring.

Reaction: Finally, Styles got the upper hand on Ellsworth and Ambrose. I find Ellsworth to be very entertaining but I’m not really interested in seeing him in the WWE World Championship picture. Having said that, this was a very good promo. There has only been one match in the first hour and fifteen minutes of tonight’s Smackdown. Usually that would annoy me but tonight’s promos have all ended in brawls.

Luke Harper vs Kane

Kane and Harper tied up to begin the match. Kane shoved Harper down and Harper got back up and they locked up again. Harper bounced off of the ropes and hit a couple of shoulder blocks but Kane was not phased. Kane then leveled Harper. Luke Harper got back up and hit Kane with a series of uppercuts. Kane once again shrugged them off and came right back at Harper. Smackdown went to a commercial break with Luke Harper outside the ring with a shocked look on his face.

When Smackdown returned, Harper was in control of the match and had a Chinlock applied to Kane in the center of the ring. Kane battled out of the Chinlock and hit a Jawbreaker. Kane went for a Chokeslam but Harper blocked it and kicked Kane in the head. Harper went for a pinfall but Kane kicked out at two. Kane fought back and connected with a DDT on Harper. Kane followed it up with a Sidewalk Slam and went for a pin but Harper kicked out. Harper battled back and hit Kane with a Dropkick to the ribs. Kane was affected and hunched over in the corner. Harper leaped on him twice and connected with a couple of shots to the ribs. Harper then then climbed to the second turnbuckle and hit Kane with a couple of punches.

Kane fought out of the corner by hitting a Powerbomb on Harper. Kane once again went for the Chokeslam but Harper grabbed the rope. Harper connected with a Sidewalk Slam of his own but Kane kicked out once again. Kane slammed Harper to the mat and climbed to the top rope. Kane went for a Clothesline off of the top rope but Harper ducked it and drilled Kane with a Superkick. Kane once again powered out of the pinfall at two. Harper then climbed to the top rope but Kane got up and punched him in the face. Kane then joined Harper on the turnbuckle and connected with a massive Superplex to Harper.

Both men slowly got back to their feet and began to trade punches. Kane blocked a punch by Harper and grabbed his throat. Kane then connected with a Chokeslam and picked up the victory.

Winner: Kane

Reaction: When you think of Kane versus Luke Harper it doesn’t sound like it would be a good match. This match was actually quite good. The announcers made a comment after the match that Bray Wyatt will not be happy with Luke Harper following this loss to Kane. I’m intrigued with the Wyatt Family storyline right now. It appears that Harper may be on his way out and Orton will be replacing him. I’m curious if this will wind up with Orton turning his back on Bray after he has already destroyed the Wyatt Family from the inside. I do not really know where they are going with this and that is a good thing. Luke Harper has always been one of the more underrated Superstars on the roster. I wouldn’t mind seeing him in the Intercontinental Championship picture and having a single’s run of his own. Harper can work well with almost any male Superstar on the Smackdown roster. I think if you put him up against someone like Baron Corbin they would put on some very physical and entertaining matches.

Smackdown Tag Team #1 Contenders Match: Randy Orton & Bray Wyatt vs American Alpha

Randy Orton and Jason Jordan started out the match. Jordan went on the offensive to start things off. The WWE cut to Slater and Rhyno watching the match from backstage. This was humorous because the television screen they were watching was black for a second and essentially Slater and Rhyno were staring at nothing.

Bray Wyatt entered the match and Jordan went to jump onto him but Wyatt ducked and Jordan went flying into the ropes. Bray tagged in Orton and he continued the assault on Jordan. Gable tagged himself in and immediately connected with a Crossbody off the top rope on Orton. Gable climbed to the top rope again but Wyatt knocked him to the outside of the ring and Smackdown went to a commercial break.

When Smackdown returned, Wyatt and Gable were in the ring. Wyatt hit Gable with a DDT on the ring apron. Wyatt then went for a pin but Gable kicked out at two. Orton then entered the match and applied a Chinlock to Gable. Orton hit a Powerslam on Gable and once again went for a pinfall but it was unsuccessful. Orton tagged in Wyatt and Gable connected with a Dropkick then sent Bray to the mat. Gable tried to tag in Jordan but Bray got up and punched Jordan off of the ring apron.

Bray mounted Gable on the mat and punched him in the face several times. Orton was tagged back in and propped Gable up on the top rope. Orton connected with a Superplex on Gable. Jason Jordan and Bray Wyatt were then tagged in. Jordan leveled Wyatt with an overhead Belly to Belly Suplex. Chad Gable hit Orton with a Cannonball off of the ring apron. Back in the ring, Jordan hit a German Suplex on Bray Wyatt.

The lights then went out and Luke Harper was ringside. Bray went for the Sister Abigail but Gable prevented it. American Alpha then went for the Grand Amplitude but Orton hit Gable with an RKO out of nowhere. Jordan went to hit Bray with a Spear but Harper pulled Bray out of the way. Wyatt then hit the Sister Abigail on Jordan for the victory. Wyatt and Orton will now face Slater and Rhyno at TLC this Sunday. Slater and Rhyno were interviewed backstage but AJ Styles interrupted. Styles stated that nobody cared about the Tag Team titles. Ambrose then appeared out of nowhere and attacked Styles and Smackdown went off the air.

Reaction: This was a very solid match to close out a good episode of Smackdown. It appears that Harper and Orton are back to getting along for now. Tonight’s episode was promo-heavy but they all were effective. TLC is shaping up to be an exciting show and I cannot wait to watch it on Sunday.

Winners & #1 Contenders For The Smackdown Tag Team Championships: Randy Orton & Bray Wyatt

Bollywood Boyz vs Drew Gulak & Tony Nese

Harv and Gurv Sihra started out the match on the offensive. Tony Nese was laid out by both of them but was able battle back and tag in Gulak. For the next few minutes, Gulak dominated the match. Nese was tagged back in and he continued the assault on the Bollywood Boyz. Gulak got back into the match and maintained control of the match.

Nese got back in the match and he applied a Chinlock to one of the Bollywood Boyz. Harv battled out of the Chinlock and connected with a Neckbreaker. Harv tagged in Gurv and he hut Gulak with several chops and a kick to the face. The Bollywood Boyz hit a double Superkick on Drew Gulak for the pinfall victory.

Winners: The Bollywood Boyz

Reaction: Not the best way to start off the debut episode of 205 Live. There were some cool spots in this match but overall it was very clunky.

https://twitter.com/WWE205Live/status/803800282756878338

TJ Perkins and Brian Kendrick had a confrontation. Perkins stated that he is still owed a rematch and that he wants Kendrick to retain the Cruiserweight Championship tonight. Perkins wants Kendrick to keep the belt so he can get his rematch and take the title away from him.

https://twitter.com/WWE205Live/status/803801771600580608

Ariya Daivari vs Jack Gallagher

Gallagher started out this match extremely cocky and applied a few submission holds to Daivari while posing for the crowd. Daivari battled back and but Gallagher escaped his Headlock. Gallagher did a handstand on the top turnbuckle and then took Daivari down. Gallagher then tied Daivari up in a knot in the center of the ring and taunted him from the corner. Gallagher then hit him with a running kick and Daivari escaped the knot.

Daivari connected with a Neckbreaker on Gallagher and slapped him in the face a couple of times. Daivari applied a Chinlock but Gallagher fought out of it and connected with a couple of Dropkicks. Gallagher then headbutted Daivari and hit him with a Dropkick in the corner for the victory.

Winner: Jack Gallagher

Reaction: This match was bizarre and entertaining. Jack Gallagher may look ridiculous but he is fun to watch. The main positive to take from this match is that Gallagher was able to get the crowd into it. That is something that has escaped the Cruiserweight division when it is featured on Monday Night Raw.

https://twitter.com/WWE205Live/status/803803266274369537

Cruiserweight Championship Match: Brian Kendrick (c) vs Rich Swann

Kendrick started off the match in control. Swann battled back and hit a Dropkick. Kendrick kicked out of a pinfall and Swann applied a Chinlock. Kendrick reversed the Chinlock into a German Suplex. Kendrick attacked Swann in the corner but Swann fought back and connected with several chops to the chest of Kendrick.

Swann landed a Tiger Bomb on Kendrick and Kendrick rolled out of the ring. Swann followed him out of the ring and hit a Summersault Clothesline off of the barricade. The action returned to the ring and Kendrick connected with another German Suplex. Kendrick then hit a Neckbreaker and Swann’s head hit the top turnbuckle. Swann then fell out of the ring and to the floor.

Swann was able to get back in the ring before the referee counted him out. Kendrick immediately hit him with a Suplex. Kendrick went for the Captain’s Hook but Swann blocked it. Swann then connected with a Michinoku Driver on Kendrick. Swann followed it up with a kick to the face of Kendrick. Swann went for the Standing 450 but Kendrick got his knees up and then locked in the Captain’s Hook.

Swann was able to reach the bottom rope and the crowd cheered him on. Both men were on the top turnbuckle and Kendrick bit Swann’s wrist and hit Sliced Bread. Swann kicked out and the crowd started to chant “this is awesome!”. Swannt connected with three spinning heel kicks in a row and pinned Kendrick for the victory.

After the match, Swann thanked his mother that has passed away and dedicated the match to her. Kendrick was also interviewed on the entrance ramp. Kendrick blamed the loss on TJ Perkins for playing mind games with him earlier in the night. Kendrick also stated that the WWE Universe should not get used to Swann as the Cruiserweight Champion. Kendrick vowed to get his title back and walked away.

Winner & New Cruiserweight Champion: Rich Swann

https://twitter.com/WWE205Live/status/803809979639558144

Reaction: 205 Live started off slow but picked up momentum and wound up being a pretty decent show. I thought the match between Kendrick and Swann was very good. I hope that the Cruiserweight division gets some more time on Monday Night Raw as a result of this show but I doubt that will be the case. Overall, both Smackdown and 205 Live were good shows tonight.

Alberto Del Rio Gone From WWE, WWE TLC Announced For December, More

– Alberto Del Rio will not be returning to WWE when his 30-day suspension is over. After news broke on Tuesday that Del Rio has been pulled from all future WWE events, our friend Raj Giri from WrestlingINC.com got some new exclusive details regarding his departure.

Alberto Del Rio’s lawyer actually informed WWE two months ago that he was opting out of his contract. Del Rio was reportedly frustrated with a string of empty promises from WWE management since his return to the company last year.

The former WWE Champion had a rocky run since his surprise return at Hell in a Cell last October. After a big United States Championship win over John Cena his first night back, Del Rio floundered with Zeb Colter as part of the MexAmerica gimmick. He’d later be part of the short-lived League of Nations stable, often looking highly disinterested on television. His romantic relationship with Paige also didn’t do him any favors.

Del Rio will be free to work anywhere by the end of September. We’ve already heard he’s taking bookings overseas and will be wrestling for WCPW in the UK this fall, probably the November show.

– Americos, the masked luchador squashed by Braun Strowman on RAW, is a Texan wrestler who competes for Traditional Championship Wrestling. Hyan, the woman squashed by Nia Jax on RAW, works for Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling promotion using the name Hyaneyoung

– WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs is scheduled for December 4th from Dallas, Texas at the American Airlines Center. The news was announced at Tuesday night’s SmackDown tapings. A pre-sale is running through Friday (using code “WWETLC”) with tickets going on sale to the general public on October 1st. Based on WWE’s pay-per-view schedule for the rest of the year, this will be a SmackDown-exclusive event.

Barrett was at the TLC pay-per-view on Sunday, but was reportedly already dealing with the injury. The severity of the injury isn’t clear, although F4WOnline.com is reporting that more details regarding Barrett’s injury should become available soon.

– On the latest edition of the “Steve Austin Show” podcast, which is available now at PodcastOne.com, WWE Hall Of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is joined by Wade Keller of PWTorch.com for an extensive review of Sunday’s WWE TLC pay-per-view. Steve also has a special shout-out for Triple H & Stephanie McMahon, and a prediction for what might happen at Wrestlemania 32 in Texas.”

Attendance For Last Night’s TLC PPV, Former WWE Superstar Backstage, More

– WWE’s TLC pay-per-view on Sunday was a sellout at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The arena was set up to seat 13,800 fans.

– Former WWE superstar Chris Nowinski was backstage at last night’s TLC event. Nowinski lives in the area, and his Concussion Legacy Foundation works with WWE wrestlers in addition to other athletes with concussions. Nowinski retired from wrestling in 2003 due to concussions, after making his debut only one year earlier.

– Roman Reigns tweeted the following today, in response to fans in attendance at last night’s PPV who chanted “thank you Reigns” after he beat down Triple H:

Mick Foley Blogs On Tommy Dreamer At TLC, Teases Response To Ric Flair

He also posted a teaser for a blog he will write later today in response to WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair, who has been critical of Foley’s recent WWE creative rants.

Foley posted the following on his official Facebook page:

This photo was taken 20 years ago, after TOMMY had come to my aid to stop a good old-fashioned ECW beating – and it’s one of my favorite Tommy Dreamer moments. What’s your favorite Dreamer moment?

Also, I will address the recent criticism from Ric Flair tomorrow here…RIGHT HERE on my Facebook page.

Video: Dean Ambrose Talks Winning WWE Intercontinental Title From Kevin Owens At TLC PPV

In the video featured above, Dean Ambrose talks to Renee Young about his WWE Intercontinental Championship victory over Kevin Owens at Sunday’s WWE TLC pay-per-view in Boston.

Ambrose spoke about past champions such as Randy Savage, Ricky Steamboat, Pat Patterson and Bret Hart being the workhorses of their prime and the I-C title being the workhorse title of the company.

He said people in WWE today, such as Owens and Sheamus, like to cheat and he doesn’t feel those past champions he named would approve.

“That’s why I’ll go to every nook and cranny in this country, every town in the United States, every arena all over the world and I will defend the Intercontinental Championship like it was my own child, like it’s the only thing in the world that mattered to me,” Ambrose said. “Because that is what being champ is all about.”

WWE Begins Alberto Del Rio & Zeb Colter Break-Up Storyline On RAW

As we reported last week, WWE recently began working on creative plans to split up Alberto Del Rio and Zeb Colter, as they wanted Del Rio on his own for the beginning of the new year.

As seen on Monday’s RAW, WWE officially began the storyline when Del Rio tripped over Colter’s scooter during a segment with Jack Swagger. This led to Del Rio scolding Colter backstage and declaring he “doesn’t need” him anymore. The segment ended with Colter driving off in his scooter while Del Rio threw steel chairs at him.

Del Rio and Swagger will go one-on-one in a Chairs Match for the WWE United States Championship at this Sunday’s WWE TLC pay-per-view. There is currently no word on Colter’s involvement in the match or what he will be doing going forward if he and Del Rio are officially done after tonight’s show.

Jim Ross Blog: Big SmackDown Changes Coming?, Twitter Hacking, RAW/TLC Thoughts

WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross recently updated his official blog at JRsBarBQ.com, teasing “big changes” when SmackDown moves to the USA Network next month and giving his thoughts on tonight’s RAW, Sunday’s TLC pay-per-view and his Twitter account getting hacked over the weekend. Below are some of the highlights.

On his Twitter account getting hacked over the weekend:

“Someone hacked my twitter account @JRsBBQ early Sunday morning and then let the world know that I was dead. Well, I’m not but I am pissed and this matter isn’t over but we do hope to have our account back up and running today thanks to the efforts of the folks at @Twitter. Karma is a crazy thing and somewhere down the road whoever did this and facilitated an emotional day for my family and friends will have to answer to their misdeeds.”

On tonight’s TLC “go-home” edition of WWE RAW:

“RAW needs to be a hot show as it’s the last RAW prior to Sunday’s TLC event. Hopefully this show will display better match exclusivity and not have repeated, unique spots in different matches which means better overall quality control of the look and flow of the show. TLC matches don’t have to be a one dimensional, spot fest but instead should tell a compelling story and incorporate the TLC’s instead of solely depending on them to make their matches sound. For example, I don’t need to see the same ‘feigned’ injured knee or ankle spots in the same show as we saw last week on RAW. TLC should compliment what we are seeing in the ring and not be the only story of the night IMO.”

On this Sunday’s WWE TLC pay-per-view:

“Shows like TLC actually should necessitate more planning by management personnel than most shows because it’s important the distribute the use of tables, ladders and chairs where, by the time the final main event rolls around, that we haven’t ‘seen it all.'”

On big changes apparently coming when SmackDown moves to the USA Network next month:

“Expect some noticeable changes to WWE Smackdown when it moves to the USA Network in January. Hopefully, RAW and Smackdown will be more episodically produced after they both start airing on the same network.”

Stone Cold Podcast With HBK Premieres After WWE TLC (12/13)

WWE is switching things up for Steve Austin’s next “Stone Cold Podcast” on the WWE Network, as they announced that Austin’s next podcast will air after their TLC pay-per-view next Sunday night, December 13th at 11pm EST., instead of the usual post-RAW time slot on Monday night.

Austin’s guest for the next “Stone Cold Podcast” on 12/13 will be fellow WWE Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels. While WWE is advertising the show as a one-hour live podcast on the WWE Network, based on previous advertising such as the above commercial that premiered during the WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view, Austin’s interview with HBK and his interview with Ric Flair were taped in advance of the airing of the show, which is another first for the “Stone Cold Podcast” on the WWE Network.

WWE’s official description for the “Stone Cold Podcast” with Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels on the WWE Network on 12/13 after the TLC pay-per-view reads as follows:

“WWE Hall Of Famer and Icon Stone Cold Steve Austin will have a no holds barred LIVE interview with the Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels!”

Update On Tommy Dreamer’s WWE Status

Following his return at Monday’s RAW, Tommy Dreamer is scheduled for tonight’s WWE SmackDown television taping in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

It appears that Dreamer will be around for the majority of December as the ECW Originals build to a match against The Wyatt Family at the WWE TLC pay-per-view later this month.

Dreamer was originally scheduled to work as a producer on the TNA tour of India this week, but as noted, the tour ended up getting canceled.

Sheamus On ESPN: ISIS/Survivor Series Threats, Being Irish WWE Champion, More (Video)

https://youtu.be/GbLI-Y20geA

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus appeared on ESPN SportsCenter with Jonathan Coachman on Tuesday evening.

Coach asked Sheamus about the rumors of an ISIS attack at the Survivor Series pay-per-view on Sunday. Sheamus claimed WWE took the threat very seriously and worked with all of the agencies throughout the weekend to ensure everyone’s safety at the event. He said the company has also increased security at live events, noting “there’s no safer place than a WWE event.”

“The Celtic Warrior” also spoke about winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on Sunday. The Coach asked what it means to be the only Irish-born WWE Superstar to win the title. Sheamus said he’s always been proud to be Irish and that the Irish are the hardest-hitting athletes in the world right now. He references UFC’s Conor McGregor and NXT’s Finn Balor as proof.

The interview closed out with Sheamus talking about being on the sidelines with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish recently. He said he would also be with them when they win the National Championship later this year. He hyped his TLC title defense against Roman Reigns and that was about it.
