Kurt Angle Speaks On A Possible WWE Return, His Drug Addiction, Personal Issues

During a recent interview with WEEI.com, TNA star Kurt Angle revealed he will be a free agent next summer and also opened up about his drug addition and divorce. Here are some highlights of what he said about:

On a possible return to WWE: “I can’t say I’ll never go back. My contract is up in eight months, so we’ll see.”

On going for an Olympic Gold Medal contributing to his drug addiction: “I realize now I can’t. There’s nothing I can do that will top that. Nothing. Not pro wrestling, not acting, not getting into MMA. Nothing will give me that feeling. I need to stop competing with myself. I tend to try to outdo myself quite a bit. But if I don’t do that, I don’t think I’ll ever be satisfied. I like to challenge myself all the time.”

On his divorce and other personal issues: “The divorce and my personal issues have been a blessing. Now my life is in a much better place. I’m clean and sober, and I don’t want to go back.”

  • CZW Star Says He’s Ready For WWE Talks Working With Ryback, Indy Issues

SESCOOPS.COM reader Phil Johnson sent along the following:

Combat Zone Wrestling Star Blk Jeez recently took some time to take part in an interview with PWMania.com. Blk Jeez spoke on several topics from his time in WWE and TNA, working with Ryback, current issues with Indy Wrestling and more. Here are some highlights from the interview:

You made appearances for both WWE and TNA, what were them experiences like?

I enjoyed my experiences with both companies. Basically, I’m at a point where being on the indies isn’t challenging enough anymore. There isn’t anything for me to accomplish on the indies. My appearances with WWE and TNA just confirmed that I have the talent, experience and maturity to make it on that level. That’s where I want to be and that’s where my talents will ultimately take me.

You had the opportunity to work with Ryback in WWE, what was it like to work in the ring with him?

Good times. Ryback was professional, safe and easy to work with.

What are your thoughts on Indy wrestling today and what could make the Indy scene better?

There aren’t enough generals left on the indies. A high percentage of the indies are full of weak minded individuals that are too scared to speak up for themselves and lack passion. Too many guys don’t take their craft serious enough in my view. Anyone that does speak up gets labelled as “unprofessional” or as a “hot head” which is ridiculous. If more people conducted themselves as businessmen, things would be better.
