-Gail Kim def. ODB to retain the TNA Knockouts Title. Earl Hebner was the “special referee” for the match. Kim tried flirting with him to get special treatment, and ODB tried bribing him with some of whatever was in her flask. In the end, Kim rolled ODB and used the ropes for leverage to get the pinfall victory.

-Chris Sabin def. Manik to retain the TNA X-Division Title. Earl Hebner was the “special referee” for this match as well. That wasn’t the only similarity to the previous title match, as the heel Sabin got the win by holding the ropes in this one.

TNA Bound For Glory 2013 Results

Bound For Glory opens with an elaborate video package focusing on the possible exit of AJ Styles from TNA. The video switches to focus on Bully Ray’s recent destruction. From there, we head inside the arena and Mike Tenay and Taz welcome us to the biggest show of the year for TNA.

    X-Division Title
    Ultimate X Match
-Jeff Hardy vs. Austin Aries vs. Chris Sabin vs. Samoa Joe vs. Manik

As soon as the match begins, Sabin immediately climbs to the top. All the guys notice this and he backs off and heads to the floor. He yanks Aries out of the ring while everyone else fights on the inside. Aries slams Sabin’s head into the steel structure on the outside. Everyone else follows to the outside and brawls while Sabin and Manik head back into the ring. Sabin catches Manik in the tree of woe and stomps on his crotch. Joe pulls Sabin down and hits him with a nasty series of right hands. Joe sends Sabin in the corner and follows with a splash enzugiri combo. Joe hits the snap mare and chops his back before kicking his chest. Joe runs right into a springboard dropkick from Manik. Aries and Hardy climb up the structure while Manik mounts Sabin with punches in the corner. Aries tries to scale the ropes, but Hardy pulls him down and Manik tosses him to the outside. Manik hits a double hurricanrana on Hardy and Sabin before locking in the octopus, then a modified sharpshooter on Sabin. Aries comes in, breaks it up, and hits a kneebreaker belly to back suplex combination. Aries goes back up but Hardy yanks him down and hits a backwards powerbomb style move that results in Aries landing face-first.

Hardy goes out to the floor and pulls out a ladder. Joe runs after him and flies through the ropes, crashing into Hardy on the floor. Joe picks up the ladder, but is caught with a baseball slide from Sabin. Manik hits Sabin with a dropkick out to the apron. Aries heads to the top and dives to the outside to take out Joe and Manik. Aries heads into the ring and props himself up lazily in the corner, posing, before heading back up to the ropes. Manik slides in and pulls Aries down to the mat. Aries and Manik trade uppercuts, and Manik backs Aries into the corner. Manik catches Aries with a boot, then hits Sabin with both boots. Sabin tosses Manik into a hurricanrana on Aries. Manik hits a springboard hurricanrana, taking Sabin and himself over the top rope to the outside. Joe punches away at Aries in the corner, taking him down to the mat. Joe seats Aries on the top turnbuckle and tries for the musclebuster, but Aries counters into a sloppy crucifix bomb. Aries hits Hardy with the corner dropkick, then hits Joe with the same move. Aries hits Hardy with another dropkick, then does the same to Joe. Aries tries for the brainbuster on Joe, but Joe counters into a rear naked choke. Joe swings Aries around before tossing him across the ring. Manik goes for the ropes, but Joe grabs his legs and yanks him down into an atomic drop before hitting a big boot and senton splash.

Sabin tosses Hardy into the corner, and Hardy kicks Sabin away, then hits the whisper in the wind. Hardy rolls to the outside, and goes back for the ladder, bringing it into the ring. Hardy sets the ladder up under the belt, and climbs, but Joe is up on the other side, and he slams Hardy’s face into the ladder to knock him off. Aries knocks Joe off the ladder with a top rope dropkick. Manik springboards and catches the ropes and Aries climbs the ladder. Aries and Manik meet in the middle, but Sabin tips over the ladder and sends both men crashing into the ropes. Sabin picks up Hardy and shoulders him, tossing him out in a front slam. Sabin poses before trying for a superkick. Hardy blocks it and counters into a twist of fate, sending Sabin from the ring. Sabin is telling Velvet to get into the ring and stop Hardy. She doesn’t want to. Sabin simply throws her into the ring himself. Sky stands up and Hardy turns around and sees her. While he’s distracted, Sabin is on the opposite side of the ladder beginning his climb. Hardy finally notices, attempts to climb the ladder himself, but it’s too late. Sabin has the belt. Hardy had a hand on it as well, but Sabin blasted Hardy with belt and Hardy went crashing down to the canvas. Sabin wins.

Winner and NEW TNA X-Division Champion: Chris Sabin

    In-Ring Segment: Abyss Returns!

Christopher Daniels and Kazarian, who lost during the pre-show Gauntlet Match, are coming out to the ring. Kaz has a mic and he says not since the premiere of Brokeback Mountain have two men been screwed more than Bad Influence. The fact that they aren’t wrestling for the titles is an embarrassment, not only to TNA, but to them, the best tag team in the business, and to each and every one of the turds in attendance. Daniels says this is Bound for Glory, the PPV that is supposed to celebrate that which is TNA, and despite the fact that TNA has treated them like the step-children of the company, they are TNA. They are the best tag team this company has ever seen, and Daniels knows a way that TNA can make it up to them. Fact: tonight, Bad Influence beat Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez. Fact: Eric Young and Joe Pancake aren’t a tag team, but a fisherman and a lawyer, so their win shouldn’t count. And third, the company like to throw curveballs and throw people into the match at the last minute, and based on their pristine record, Bad Influence should be added to the card tonight. They are interrupted by Eric Young who makes his way to the ring wearing trunks and a backwards baseball cap. Young tells BI that he’s not a trouble maker. He doesn’t feel bad, he doesn’t want a match, he’s already beaten them once tonight. Young says he’s here on official, scientific business. He’s a scientist. BI did something earlier, they created a monster. Everyone here and EY know, and BI are the only two that don’t realize that they should run. Young tells them to run. Daniels shake Young’s hand. As Kaz goes to shake his hand, they attack him instead. This leads to Abyss returning and coming out to the ring. Abyss cleans house, hitting the Blackhole Slam on both Daniels and Kazarian. Young, who is still in the ring, looks worried. Abyss extends his hand and helps Young up. Young smiles as Abyss poses for the fans.

    Backstage: James Storm & Gunner

Backstage, we see Jeremy Borash. Borash plugs the Twitter and Facebook stuff and then introduces his guests, the TNA Tag-Team Champions Gunner and James Storm. Gunner says BroMans, who won the pre-show Gauntlet Match, earned their shot tonight. He tells them not to worry about their tan, their gym, their girls or their dancing. He says they aren’t ready for the champs. James Storm then says BroMans were lucky. He tells them he’s sorry about their damn luck.

    TNA World Tag-Team Titles
-James Storm & Gunner (c) vs. BroMans

All the guys immediately start brawling to start this match off. Storm and Gunner team up on Robbie before picking up Jesse and throwing him into Robbie. Robbie and Jesse bail, and Gunner backdrops Storm over the top and to the outside, wiping out both men. Storm catches Jesse with a big right hand, then follows up with a giant hip toss. Storm works over the arm before tagging out to Gunner. Gunner hits Kesse with a couple of big clubbing blows and a back elbow for two. Jesse gets caught in the corner with a running knee to the gut that Gunner follows up with a slingshot suplex for two. Gunner takes the fight to Jesse in the corner, chopping away at his chest. Gunner ends up tossed in the corner, but connects with another back elbow and catches Robbie with a right. Jesse pulls Gunner off the ropes and makes the tag to Robbie. BroMans throw Gunner into the corner hard before Robbie mounts Gunner with a series of punches. Robbie and Jesse use quick tags to distract the ref and score quick strikes and cheap shot opportunities. Jesse pulls Gunner to the mat by his hair, tags out to Robbie, and Robbie goes right for the rear chin lock. Gunner tries to connect with the backslide, but Jesse comes in with a dropkick and takes out Gunner.

Robbie E. is taunting Gunner, slapping him around a bit. Gunner fights his way out of their corner and hits a running knee on Robbie. Jesse sends Storm from the corner, and prevents a tag. Robbie drops a knee over Gunner’s throat, and tags back out to Jesse. Jesse comes in with a series of stomps to Gunner’s face, sending him into the corner and following up with a sidewalk slam. Jesse heads up to the middle rope, but he’s stopped by Gunner. Gunner goes up after Jesse and hits a huge fall away slam off the second rope.

Storm sends Robbie into the corner and is backdropped to the apron, but he catches Robbie with a kick to the back of the head. Storm hits a running neckbreaker on Robbie for two. Jesse attacks Storm from behind, and Gunner attacks Jesse. Gunner is double teamed and sent from the ring, and Jesse and Robbie seat Storm on the top turnbuckle. BroMans try for a double superplex, but Gunner takes Robbie away with an electric chair drop, and Storm hits a super-front-plex, launching Jesse on Robbie. The finish comes when the heels throw one of the belts in the ring. Storm gets distracted for a moment, and turns around right into the double-team finisher by BroMans. That’s all she wrote. We have new TNA Tag-Team Champions.

Winners and NEW TNA Tag-Team Champions: BroMans

(Spoilers) TNA Impact Wrestling Results For 10/3

The following are spoiler results for the Thursday, October 3rd edition of TNA Impact Wrestling which was taped on Thursday, September 26th from Little Rock, Arkansas.

-Jeff Hardy & Manik def. Kenny King & Chris Sabin. King bled a lot, legitimately, as he did “last week” on Impact (which was the show prior to these tapings on Sept. 27th). The finish in this one came when Hardy hit King with the Swanton for the 1-2-3.

-Austin Aries came out and issued a challenge for a Four-Way Match at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view with himself against Chris Sabin, Manik and Jeff Hardy. Hardy then said that it should be an Ultimate X match for the X-Division Title.

-Velvet Sky vs. Brooke Tessmacher was scheduled to happen next, but never actually got underway. The winner was supposed to get a shot at ODB for the TNA Knockouts Title, but Lei’D Tapa ended up attacking both Sky and Tessmacher.

-A.J. Styles came out and did an interview. He said he appreciated what Hulk Hogan tried doing for him, but Dixie Carter showed her true colors. He talks about not having a title shot in over a year. Bully Ray comes out and basically tells Styles he can’t win because Dixie Carter is in his head.

-Magnus vs. The E.G.O. faction in a Gauntlet Match was next. Magnus defeated Christopher Daniels, who was first up, after hitting him with the Falcon Arrow. Next up was Magnus against Kazarian. Magnus won that one as well via the Camel Clutch. Finally, Magnus took on Bobby Roode. Roode ended up beating Magnus with the Ankle Lock.

-Sting comes out and he and Magnus get into an argument. Magnus was throwing a fit and Sting told him to go to the back where they can talk things out. Magnus refused. Magnus talked about quitting because this is a results-driven business, and he’s not giving the results. This led to an announced Sting vs. Magnus match, with Sting pointing out that he was put on the map in one single match against Ric Flair (WCW Clash Of The Champions).

-Samoa Joe def. Bully Ray via Disqualification. The finish here came when Joe put the choke on Ray and he tapped out, but the referee never saw it because he was down. Ray then hit Joe with his chain but the referee ended up seeing that and called for the bell, which prompted the DQ finish. Ray was about to give Joe the piledriver on the floor but Styles ended up coming out to make the save.

-Dixie Carter and Hulk Hogan were the main event segment on the show. Carter asked Hogan if he was going to be behind her, ala the ultimatim she had given him “last week.” Hogan said it was a great offer for somebody else, but not him. Hogan says he’s quitting the company. Carter ended up getting on her knees, grabbed Hogan around the legs, and begged him not to leave the ring. Dixie continued to freak out over the fact that Hogan had quit as the show goes off the air.

-Hernandez defeated Joseph Park. Hernandez was way over with the fans in El Paso, as one would expect. Park kept trying to shake his hand. Manik, confused, eventually did, and Young attempted to start wrestling the referee. Young then acted like he was the ref and made the referee wrestle Manik. Eventually the two wrestled each other, and Manik hit his gutbuster finisher on Young to score the pin and retain his title. Good comedy match.

-James Storm and Gunner defeated Bad Influence in a Texas Tornado Match to retain the TNA Tag-Team Championships. Before the match, Daniels and Kazarian cut a heel promo. After a really entertaining match, Storm and Gunner hit a double-team move on Kazarian to secure the pinfall victory.

-Austin Aries defeated Bobby Roode. Roode got good heat from the fans in El Paso. Aries got a pretty big pop. This match was awesome. Lots of good back-and-forth action before Aries reversed a Roode suplex attempt into a rollup for the 1-2-3.

-Bully Ray defeated Samoa Joe to retain the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Joe probably received the best reaction of the evening. Ray did everything needed to ensure he would get a lot of heat from the crowd, and he did. The finish came when Ray hit Joe with his chain while the referee was down, which led to him pinning Joe to retain his belt. After the match, Ray tried hitting Joe with the belt but Joe came back and cleaned house of the Bully.

-Before the show officially began in the ring, Mr. Anderson came out through the crowd and claimed no one was going to receive backstage passes at this show. This led to Jeff Hardy coming out and challenging Anderson to a match. If Hardy wins, fans do get to go backstage. If he doesn’t, they don’t.

-Jeff Hardy defeated Mr. Anderson via pinfall. Hardy picked up the victory after he hit Anderson with his Twist Of Fate finisher for the clean pin. Because of the victory, fans get to go backstage.

-Gail Kim defeated ODB va pinfall. The finish came when Kim rolled up ODB for a pin, and used her feet on the ropes for added leverage. Earl Hebner was the referee for this match, and before it began the crowd got on his case with the “You Screwed Bret” chants. Hebner played it up by putting on a pair of sunglasses and mocking Hart’s gesture where he holds his hands out.

-James Storm defeated Kazarian via Disqualification. As soon as Storm was about to finish things off with the Last Call Superkick, Daniels made a run-in and cost Kazarian the match. This led to Gunner coming out to make the save. The fans chanted for a tag-team match, so the babyfaces obliged by accepting and making the match for the TNA World Tag-Team Championships. TNA Impact Wrestling House Show Results (8/2): Tyler, Texas

The following are results from the TNA Impact Wrestling live event in Tyler, Texas. The event was held on Friday, August 2, 2013.

-Jeff Hardy defeated Mr. Anderson via pinfall. Hardy picked up the victory after he hit Anderson with his Twist Of Fate finisher for the pin. It’s interesting to note, Hardy never once performed a move off the top-rope in this match.

-Gail Kim defeated ODB in a Knockouts Match via pinfall. The referee for this match was Earl Hebner, so he did his “I Screwed Bret” routine, complete with the “Damn Right I Did” t-shirt and sunglasses. The Kim-ODB match was what you’d expect from these two, similar to their match on Impact Wrestling on Spike TV the night before. The finish came when Kim rolled up ODB and held the tights to secure the 1-2-3.

-Gunner defeated Christopher Daniels via Disqualification. Was said to be a good match. The finish came when Kazarian dd a run-in, costing Daniels the match and giving Gunner the victory via DQ. After the Kazarian run-in, James Storm came out to make the save. This led to an immediate TNA World Tag-Team Championship match.

-James Storm and Gunner defeated Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian via pinfall to retain the TNA World Tag-Team Championships. All four guys worked really hard in this match, and it showed, as this was definitely the best match on the card.

-AJ Styles defeated Devon (with Mike Knox) via Submission. According to live reports, these two did not mesh well as there was a clash of styles (no pun intended) with their in-ring work. Regardless, the match wasn’t that bad.

-Chris Sabin defeated Bobby Roode to retain the TNA World Heavyweight Championship in the Main Event of the evening. This match wasn’t as long as you would think, considering it was the main event of the show and it was for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Regardless, this was an excellent match that the crowd thoroughly enjoyed. In the end, Sabin picked up the victory with his finisher to retain the title.

    NOTES:

-According to live reports, there were approximately 300-500 people in a building that can fit nearly 8,000 people.

-TNA never changed the advertising, so anyone who doesn’t read the internet was expecting Kurt Angle at the show. As a result of his not being there, nearly every match on the card had to be altered in some form or fashion.

UPDATE: Kurt Angle To Serve Jail Time Due To Latest DWI Arrest?

TNA House Show Results (7/26): Columbus, Georgia – Earl Hebner Reaches Milestone

The following are results from the TNA Impact Wrestling live event in Columbus, Georgia on Saturday, July 27, 2013.

Jeremy Borash opened the show by saying the craziest, loudest fans would receive backstage access tonight. This brought out Aces & 8’s member Devon, who said there would be no backstage access tonight because the Aces & 8’s were shutting down the show in this “inbred town” of Columbus, Georgia. With that said, out came Kurt Angle. Angle challenges Devon to a match. If Devon wins, the Aces & 8’s can shut down the show, but if Angle wins, Devon must give an Aces & 8’s t-shirt to a fan and shake his hand. This led to the match between Angle and Devon. Angle ended up winning the contest via Angle Slam. Angle gave away some backstage passes. Devon didn’t hold his end of the bargain, however, as he simply flipped off the crowd and left without giving away any shirts or shaking any hands.

The next match of the evening was between TNA Knockouts Champion Mickie James and Velvet Sky. James won with a handful of tights over Sky. Was said to be a decent match with some fun, crowd-pleasing spots.

Next up was a TNA Tag-Team Title match pitting Gunener and James Storm against Robbie E. and Jesse Godderz. Was said to be one of the most entertaining matches of the evening with a lot of comedy spots from both Robbie E. and Godderz. Even Earl Hebner got in on the action, as he helped Storm hip-toss Robbie E. at one point. In the end, the champs retained with a clean pinfall victory. After the match, Storm soaked one section of the crowd with beer.

The fourth match of the evening saw Jeff Hardy take on Bobby Roode. Hardy received easily the biggest pop of the evening from the fans in Columbus. The Hardy-Roode match was said to be pretty good, with a lot of back-and-forth action. In the end, Hardy picked up the victory via pinfall.

Intermission time. Anyone who purchased a Kurt Angle action figure was told they were allowed to go backstage to get it autographed. Also during intermission it was revealed that referee Earl Hebner had reached a milestone that would likely never be matched. Hebner has apparently officiated over 100,000 matches.

After intermission we got a Bound For Glory Series match. Mr. Anderson took on AJ Styles. Again, this was another back-and-forth match. Anderson picked up the victory, and seven points, with a handful of tights. After the bell sounds, Styles locked in the Calf Killer on Anderson and bullied Hebner around a bit.

And finally, it’s main event time. TNA World Heavyweight Champion Chris Sabin against former champion Bully Ray. Before the match, Ray cut a promo. He called out Sabin and said he should just come to the ring, get on his knees, and hand over the belt. Sabin comes out, teases handing over the title, but instead holds it over his head. The finish here saw Sabin get a roll-up pinfall victory in what was one of the shortest matches of the evening. After the match, Devon hit the ring. He and Bully Ray double-teamed Sabin for a bit until Hardy came out to make the save. Aces & 8’s scatter, leaving the ring to the babyfaces.
