The Bella Twins Won’t Be Returning To Total Divas

We recently reported on “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey allegedly joining the cast of ‘Total Divas.’ Now, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet, it appears that Nikki and Brie Bella won’t be returning for the next season of ‘Total Divas’ as well.

Stepping away from the show that helped to popularize them to a wider audience, the Bella Twins are actively choosing to instead focus on their spin-off series, ‘Total Bellas.’

The Total Divas cast, as it stands now, includes Carmella, Natalya, Nia Jax, Naomi, and the recently announced Sonya Deville.

From that lineup, it can be assumed that Paige won’t be returning when cameras start rolling for the new season. She is currently promoting her new biopic, ‘Fighting With My Family.’

Sonya Steps In

Sonya Deville stepped in to replace Lana. It was revealed that Lana and Rusev would be removed from the show for being “strongly disliked by the demographic.”

When asked about joining the cast, she responded:

“I have been through things and I am the person I am for a lot of reasons and I love sharing those stories for the fans because it’s relatable. And on that topic, I’ll be on Season 9 of Total Divas, which is something I am super excited about.”

For what it’s worth, Pro Wrestling Sheet stated that Nikki Bella will continue on as an Executive Producer.

Bella Twins Talk About Brie & Daniel Bryan Retiring From The Ring

The Bella Twins, John Cena and Daniel Bryan are in New York City this week doing the media rounds to promote the premiere of Total Bellas. During an interview with AOL’s BUILD series, Brie spoke about husband Daniel Bryan and her retirements from the ring.

“It was hard as a wife to see that, especially because I had two months left at WWE and I was trying so hard to enjoy the ending. It was hard for me because of what he was going through and I didn’t really want to retire. It’s kind of bittersweet for me because we want to be parents, and I can’t take back bumps and have a baby bump, unfortunately.”

Nikki commented on Bryan’s mentality during that challenging time, noting that she didn’t know the full extent of what Bryan was dealing with. She was focused on protecting her sister. Nikki felt like Bryan wasn’t supporting Brie in her last few months before Brie’s retirement and the two got in “a massive fight.”

“He [Bryan] cussed at me, and Bryan does not ever say a cuss word,” Nikki said. “But I drove him to get that angry.”

Total Bellas premieres next Wednesday, October 5th at 8pm on the E! Network.

Pregnancy Storyline Planned For ‘Total Bellas’ Relatity Show

Earlier this week, Nikki and Brie Bella attended NBCUniversal’s 2016 Upfronts in New York City and spoke to E! News’ Maria Menounos about their upcoming Total Bellas reality series.

Brie and husband Daniel Bryan moved in with Nikki and her boyfriend, John Cena, while filming the show. “I ended up realizing Bryan and I are messier, but it’s because we don’t feel the need to stress out to get everything straightened out right away,” Brie said. “All I’m saying is that there was one of us who had a mental breakdown during the time being there.”

“And there was a wedding and a pregnancy,” Nikki continues. “We have a very fertile home, I guess.”

Of course, this set off speculation – who’s pregnant? Well, it turns out that “Brother Bella” JJ Garcia and his wife Lola were expecting their first child, as seen in photos below.

WWE Files For “Total Bellas” Trademark

Earlier this month on WWE filed for a new trademark – Total Bellas. The comes just days after WWE retired the Divas Championship, rebranded the women’s division and Brie Bella confirmed her retirement from active competition.

According to the US Patent & Trademark Office website, the primary purpose of the trademark is for, “Entertainment services, namely, an ongoing reality-based program and its participants; entertainment services, namely, an ongoing show about professional wrestlers and professional wrestling.”

Based on that description, it appears that WWE’s hit show Total Divas is being rebranded – or the Bella Twins are getting their own spinoff show.

There are also dozens of other uses for the trademark in the multiple filings, for everything from live wrestling shows to body lotion, cleaning agents, mouthwash, Christmas tree decorations and toy guitars.
