WWE Star Calls for Total Divas Revival, Names Dream Cast Members

WWE Superstar Naomi envisions a new generation of Total Divas, sharing her excitement for potential cast members during a recent Casual Conversations interview.

“It was great to document us in the early days,” reflected the original cast member. “Now, it would be incredible to see the new generation at the start of their careers.”

When discussing potential cast members, Naomi quickly highlighted rising star Tiffany Stratton.

“Tiffany is such an interesting person. Fans would love to see that other side of her outside the ring. She’s young, talented, and just starting out—imagine capturing that journey.”

The veteran performer emphasized how the show’s focus on real-life WWE couples resonated with viewers.

“One of the best things about Total Divas was seeing our personal lives. Managing relationships in this business is tough, and I think fans would love to see how different couples handle it.”

As for her own potential return, Naomi expressed enthusiasm about reuniting with fellow original cast members.

“Some of us are still here, and I think we’d need to make some cameos!” she said.

With WWE’s reality TV portfolio continuing to expand through shows like Total Bellas and Love & WWE, a Total Divas revival could be perfectly timed to showcase the company’s newest generation of female Superstars.

Total Divas Sees Highest Viewership This Season So Far

The ratings for the fifth episode of the 9th season of WWE Total Divas saw quite a good rise in viewership – the best the show has seen this season so far.

The slight growth from last week’s episode, which managed to pull in 279,000 viewers is the highest this season. The Tuesday’s episode brought a total of 283,000 viewers for the fifth episode.

The episode also brought in a 0.12 rating in the coveted 18 – 49 demographic which is an up from last week’s 0.11 demo rating, according to Showbuzz Daily.

The show ranked in at #70 for the night among the Cable Top 150. The top ranked show of the night was Real Housewives on the Cable Top 150 chart in the 18-49 demographic.

This season had the all-time lowest premiere in the history of the show – a mighty 252,000.

The Total Divas episode featured the time when Ronda Rousey turned heel before WrestleMania and took shots on social media at wrestling being “fake”. The cast of the show think that Ronda is disrespecting them, the only person who doesn’t think so is Natalya.

Total Divas Viewership Sees Slight Growth From Series’ All Time Low Season Premiere

The ratings for the second episode of the 9th Season of WWE Total Divas saw a slight growth in viewership from the series’ all time low season premiere.

The growth was not huge, but it was still an improvement. The Tuesday’s show brought in a 0.13 rating in the coveted 18 – 49 demographic which is an up from last week’s 0.11 demo rating, according to Showbuzz Daily.

As for the viewership, the episode drew in 261,000 viewers, up from last week’s 252,000. This is the second least-watched episode of the series. The trend is probably going to continue, as the third lowest-watched episode. from 2016. actually had an audience of 461,000. This season has a long way to go.

The show ranked in at #64 for the night among the Cable Top 150. The top ranked show of the night was the Major League Baseball (MLB) American League Division Series game between the Astros and the Rays, which garnered a demo rating of 0.95 with 3.698 million viewers.

The Total Divas episode also featured a segment with Carmella where she cleared the air about her relationship with Corey Graves. Carmella officially confirmed her relationship with the WWE commentator and revealed that she only got in a relationship after Graves was separated from his wife. She also revealed that she received death threats from people online when Graves’ ex-wife accused Carmella of breaking her marriage.

Lana Has Some Harsh Words For “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey

With the news breaking that “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey might be joining the cast of ‘Total Divas,’ it was bound to garner a reaction. Considering that Lana and Rusev have been axed from the show for being “strongly disliked by the demographic,” you’ve suddenly got yourself the start of a potentially personal feud — despite the fact it’s actually Sonya Deville who is replacing Lana’s spot on the show.

Taking chagrin with the shakeup to the ‘Total Divas’ casting lineup, Lana took to her social media. Responding to Ronda’s Elimination Chamber challenger, Ruby Riott, Lana would proceed to call Rowsey “overrated,” stating that she “can’t bring ratings.”

Ruby Riott was initially responding to a Tweet by Rousey, where she would say:

“Who cares about what’s best for business or what these people want?! You’re so focused on giving the #WomensEvolution what they deserve, that you’re not even looking at #EliminationChamber. So I’ll gladly take your title & main event #Wrestlemania whether they like it or not.”

It would at this point that Lana would insert herself into the conversation:

“I would be thrilled if you took her place ! So overrated she is ! I mean she claims to change the game yet she can’t bring ratings …. soooo ummm”

Given that Lana isn’t even on the same brand as Raw’s Ronda Rousey, it would appear unlikely she is harnessing Twitter to foreshadow a feud in the way that talent has done for, say, a Four Horsewomen confrontation.

What do you think? Is this just bitterness on Lana’s part? Does she have a point?

The Bella Twins Won’t Be Returning To Total Divas

We recently reported on “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey allegedly joining the cast of ‘Total Divas.’ Now, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet, it appears that Nikki and Brie Bella won’t be returning for the next season of ‘Total Divas’ as well.

Stepping away from the show that helped to popularize them to a wider audience, the Bella Twins are actively choosing to instead focus on their spin-off series, ‘Total Bellas.’

The Total Divas cast, as it stands now, includes Carmella, Natalya, Nia Jax, Naomi, and the recently announced Sonya Deville.

From that lineup, it can be assumed that Paige won’t be returning when cameras start rolling for the new season. She is currently promoting her new biopic, ‘Fighting With My Family.’

Sonya Steps In

Sonya Deville stepped in to replace Lana. It was revealed that Lana and Rusev would be removed from the show for being “strongly disliked by the demographic.”

When asked about joining the cast, she responded:

“I have been through things and I am the person I am for a lot of reasons and I love sharing those stories for the fans because it’s relatable. And on that topic, I’ll be on Season 9 of Total Divas, which is something I am super excited about.”

For what it’s worth, Pro Wrestling Sheet stated that Nikki Bella will continue on as an Executive Producer.

Sonya Deville Replacing Lana On Total Divas

As reported earlier, Lana and Rusev have been dropped from the cast of Total Divas due to them being “strongly disliked by the demographic.”

To fill in Lana’s spot, it was officially revealed that Sonya Deville will join the Total Divas show as a new cast member.

On the AfterBuzz TV’s SmackDown After Show, Sonya Deville called in and said that she will be on the Season 9 of Total Divas.

On the topic of the idea of having cameras outside of the ring and how she’s adapting to that, Deville said:

“Part of being a WWE Superstar to me is showing the fans what happened outside of the ring. Who I am in the ring, and in my personal life, is important to defining my character. I am tough for a reason. I have been through things and I am the person I am for a lot of reasons and I love sharing those stories for the fans because it’s relatable.”

“And on that topic, I’ll be on Season 9 of Total Divas, which is something I am super excited about.”

She also revealed that the filming of the show will be starting this week but a bit of the filming was already done during the Royal Rumble.

Cody Chimes In On Total Divas Using “All-In” Slogan

WWE’s Total Divas are All In. No, they won’t be appearing at Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks’ big independent wrestling show on September 1st. However, promotional materials hyping the September 19th premiere of Total Divas Season 8 features the phrase All In repeatedly.

The Young Bucks & Bella Twins Acknowledge Total Divas’ “All In” Marketing

Matt Jackson of the Young Bucks took notice of WWE and the E! Network using the phrase “All In” to market Total Bellas.

Nikki Bella responded to Matt and revealed they also realized something was amiss.

Cody’s Response to Total Divas Use of The Term “All-In”

Cody does not seem phased by WWE’s use of the term “All-In”. His opinion appears to be that this was not something done on purpose but rather a case of a production team not being aware of other things going on in wrestling.

A fan asked him about it on Twitter recently:

“Could care less. It’s not the girls’ fault that whoever built that campaign had their head lodged in their ass Most in that office that aren’t involved with wrestling/LE coordination are just checking their Facebook hoping the boss doesn’t notice they don’t do any actual work”

All In: September 1st, 2018

As of this writing, there are just 36 days until All In takes place in Chicago. We know Cody will challenge for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship that night but we don’t yet know who the champion will be. All signs are pointing to Nick Aldis still holding the ten pounds of gold come that time, however.

On the latest episode of Being the Elite, a match between “the Bad Boy” Joey Janela and Adam “Hangman” Page was scheduled. Some fans may have assumed Page would be put in a match with Joey Ryan. In storyline, however, Ryan is missing and presumed dead. It’s not clear how this will impact the match between Page and Janela, however.

Cody has also said he personally walked around the Sears Center in Chicago to ensure each seat had a good view.

“You’ll be good!” Cody responded to a fan asking about his seat’s view on Twitter. “We compromised on stage size a bit because we wanted as many seats filled as possible.”

Total Divas Season 8 Premiere Date & Cast Revealed

Details about the upcoming season of the WWE produced reality show, Total Divas, has surfaced online after a press release was issued to the media on Thursday morning (July 26, 2018).

Season 8 of the show is slated to premiere on September 19 on the E! Network and will see a few changes to the cast on this season of the show as Alexa Bliss, Carmella and Maryse will not be returning to the main cast. Although the reasoning behind Bliss and Carmella not returning are not known at this time, Maryse not appearing on the series is due to the fact that she and The Miz just aired the debut episode of their reality show, Miz & Mrs, on the USA Network this week.

However, the good news for fans of the show is the fact that Paige, Nikki Bella, Brie Bella, Natalya, Nia Jax, Lana, and Naomi will be the main cast. Here is the synopsis for the first episode of the new season:

“The season kicks off with the girls getting ready for WrestleMania Week in New Orleans. All eyes are on Nia as she continues to impress in the ring. With her much-anticipated Raw Women’s Championship Match forthcoming, Nia tries to up her game and enlists the help of a veteran Superstar to pick up some new moves.”

Also, it was noted in the release that Nikki’s personal life will be front and center in this season as she hopes to set the record straight between gossip and what she knows as the truth regarding her split from longtime boyfriend John Cena. It should be noted that Nikki also serves as a Co-Executive Producer of Total Divas Season 8.

Total Divas Returning For Seasons 8 & 9

WWE’s hit reality series Total Divas on the E! Network has been renewed for two more seasons. Season 8 premieres this fall.

According to a press release sent out by WWE, the cast will include familiar faces “and even a blast from the past.” The show follows “several powerful and inspiring” female Superstars and gives viewers an exclusive look inside their professional and personal lives.

Amy Introcaso-Davis, E!’s Executive Vice President of Development and Production, said, “We are thrilled to have celebrated the 100th episode of this popular franchise and are grateful to announce two additional seasons. The series will continue to give a rare glimpse at a beloved cast of strong, diverse women whose big personalities, unique relationships and aspirational lifestyles have proven to resonate with our audience.”

E! cameras were on hand during WrestleMania 34 weekend from New Orleans. Based on tweets from the Superstars over the past several months, Natalya, Naomi, Lana, Paige, Sonya Deville and Liv Morgan are expected to be part of Season 8.

Total Bellas, the Total Divas spinoff series about Nikki and Brie Bella, returns to E! on Sunday, May 20, at 9/8 CT for Season 3.

Update On New Total Divas Cast Members For Next Season

E!’s Total Divas recently wrapped up its seventh season this past January. The show has been in production since 2013 and has been airing for the past five years.

In the past several seasons we have seen Divas come and go from the show, with new stars being added recently such as Carmella, Alexa Bliss, and Nia Jax. Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer reports that both Paige and Sonya Deville are cast for next season.

Liv Morgan of SmackDown Live could also be added to the show as she was recently filming an episode with Lana during WrestleMania 34 weekend. Deville is one-half of the Absolution tag team on RAW, alongside Mandy Rose – who is also showcased on Total Divas.

Deville is one of the first openly gay female athletes on WWE’s roster. As for Morgan, she is one-third of The Riott Squad on SmackDown Live alongside Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan. It should be interesting to see how these young main roster call-ups interact with veterans backstage.

Big Cass Introduced On Total Divas

On August 21st Big Cass was injured during a Street Fight with Enzo Amore; he tore his ACL and will be sidelines until after Wrestlemania 34.

The video underneath shows the moment that Big Cass tore his ACL on RAW as he went over the ropes and landed awkwardly outside the ring….

Since the injury, Big Cass has had surgery and is attending rigorous rehabilitation to repair his knee, but hasn’t made many promotional appearances for WWE.  However this recently changed as he attended an interview with the Sun Herald to promote WrestleMania 34.

In the interview Big Cass explained his relationship with the fans of WWE and how he felt he was doing within the company.

“It’s very disappointing. I was on quite a roll at the time. The night I got hurt, during a commercial break, I cut a promo and loaded up to the fans. It felt good to have the fans boo me.”

Big Cass also appears on tonight’s episode of Total Divas as the 7 foot tall superstar is dating Carmella, who features in the latest season of the WWE TV show on E! along with Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax.  Here is a preview of Big Cass’s introduction by Carmella:

As filming began for season 7 in June 2017, the timing suggests that Total Divas could cover aspects of Big Cass’s injury, from Carmella’s point of view.  I doubt she’ll be flaunting the Money In The Bank briefcase as much while Big Cass sits sidelined for 6 months.

An important aspect of this is the possibility of an insight behind Big Cass’s in-ring persona.  Since breaking away from Enzo Amore, he has turned heel and consistently booed by the crowd.  This may give fans the opportunity to see a more realistic aspect of Big Cass that has been hidden behind strong characters and gimmicks throughout his WWE career.  His initial introduction to Total Divas comes across as extremely shy and uncomfortable in the preview, but this is probably due to have cameras following him and his girlfriend around all the time.

Preview For Tonight’s Total Divas Season Premiere (Video)

WWE’s hit reality series Total Divas returns tonight for its season seven premiere on the E! Network. The main storyline arc for the season is WWE’s Women’s Revolution, with RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax joining the cast.

Here’s the official synopsis for tonight’s season premiere:

“As the season premiere kicks off, the WWE announces its first ever “Money in the Bank” ladder match for the women’s superstar division. With Brie on maternity leave, Nikki mentors Nattie and Lana in hopes of becoming Smackdown GM. Meanwhile, newcomer Nia Jax makes a bad impression when she questions Maryse’s history in the WWE, and Trin challenges John to sex up their love life.

WWE released the following videos to hype the show’s return:

Carmella On WWE’s Women’s Revolution, Total Divas & Relationship With Big Cass

Carmella was recently interviewed by Debbie Emery of TheWrap. Carmella discussed the women’s revolution in WWE and joining the cast of “Total Divas”. Below are some highlights from the interview:

Why has there been such an explosion for women in WWE?

“I think it was just time — the women have been working for so long and so hard. The fans helped a lot too as they demanded it, they knew what the women were capable of and started the whole women’s revolution hashtag on Twitter. That gave the Divas a chance. The women took it and ran with it and have been running with it ever since then. They are now on main event pay-per-views. I was in the very first Money in the Bank ladder match for women, and I won it! So it has been a wonderful whirlwind. It is a great time to be a woman in the WWE.”

Is “Total Divas” a good way to show how hard WWE Superstars work?

“It is a great outlet for people to see what it takes to be in the WWE, but I don’t think it shows all of it. [The job] isn’t glamorous all the time by any means. There are a lot of perks, but viewers don’t see the late-night flights, the race to the rental car shuttle, the to drive to the hotel to get two hours sleep … you can only explain that so much.”

Is it hard having the cameras on you all the time, especially covering your personal life?

“It was different at first, that’s for sure. How am I supposed to act, what am I supposed to do? When you sign up for a reality show, you have to put your personal life out there.

But I am excited to share my struggle with my relationship. I am dating another WWE Superstar, Big Cass, he is on “Raw” and I am on “SmackDown,” so we get to show the world our struggles as it’s like a long-distance relationship and we only see each other one-and-a-half days a week, sometimes less. I really want to show women that it is OK to have a career and put that — not necessarily first — but to put it out there. You can do it all. Is it going to be hard? Yes. Is it going to be worth it? Of course.”

Watch Brie Bella Show Off Her Baby Bump for the First Time

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Z_vLabdBqU

On Tuesday, to celebrate WWE’s official Bella Twins YouTube channel quickly reaching the 100,000 subscriber milestone, a glowing Brie Bella (well, Brianna Danielson, since we’re talking about the real person) posted a the above new video. Wearing a kimono, she thanks her fans before stripping to a bikini and revealing her newly minted baby bump, which had “THANK YOU” written on it for good measure.

Brianna and husband Bryan “Daniel Bryan” Danielson are expecting their baby some time in the spring. They announced the pregnancy on October 6th, so if you go with the logic that they waited three months (as many couples do), the baby is likely due around WrestleMania 33.
