  • Identity Of Natalya’s Crush On Total Divas Revealed, Indy Wrestling Schedule For This Week

-The guy who portrayed the man who had the crush on Natalya on WWE Total Divas this week is Rod Rage. Rage used to wrestle for the 2000 version of Stampede Wrestling in Canada that was run by Bruce Hart, back when current Showtime announcer and former PRIDE Fighting Championships and Strikeforce announcer Mauro Ranalla handled the commentary for the shows.

  • VIDEO: Brodus Clay Explains Why He’s Not On Total Divas, Talks Hardest Hitters In WWE

WWE Superstar and member of Tons Of Funk, Brodus Clay, was recently interviewed at the Toronto Fan Expo by Arda Ocal of The Score.

Clay was mainly talking about filming the movie “No One Lives,” which was recently released on DVD and Blu-ray in the United States. Clay spoke about learning movie lingo, as well as the audition process, which included making a silicone cast of his body while he was covered in vasoline.

The “Tons Of Funk” member also discussed WWE-related topics, such as who he feels the hardest hitter in the company is, as well as why he’s not featured on the WWE reality show “Total Divas,” alongside his Funkadactyls running-mates.

  • Cena Advised To Pull Out Of SummerSlam, His Rehab To Be Profiled On Total Divas

-As noted on a recent edition of WWE RAW, WWE Superstar John Cena referenced in a promo the fact that he was advised by doctors to skip the scheduled Daniel Bryan match at SummerSlam because of the severity of his elbow/triceps injury. That was a legitimate point made by Cena. It was Cena himself who insisted on risking further injury be competing in one final match, as advertised, before taking a lengthy hiatus to heal his arm.

Additionally, Cena’s rehab will reportedly be the focus of several upcoming episodes of the WWE reality show, “Total Divas.”

-The WWE live event on Friday, August 16th in Portland, Oregon drew approximately 6,500 fans for a live gate of $220,000.

  • Lex Luger On Sting Possibly Joining WWE, Watch “Total Divas” Bonus Footage

    – Promoting his recently released autobiography Wrestling with the Devil: The True Story of a World Champion Professional Wrestler – His Reign, Ruin, and Redemption, Lex Luger spoke to Buffalo-based publication Queen City Sports about growing up in Buffalo, his accomplished wrestling career and current life. During the interview, the two-time WCW World Heavyweight Championship was asked if he could ever see his close friend Sting working for WWE in the future.

“As a friend I support whatever he does. As a fan I’d love to see him wrestle in the WWE someday,” said Luger. “Even if it’s just for one Wrestlemania. Him versus the Undertaker. Retire him and have him go into the Hall of Fame that same weekend. Man I’d love to see him and the Undertaker or somebody like that. I think the fans would love to see that.”

  • Sin Cara Injury Update, Total Divas Rating Down Against SummerSlam

    – Sunday’s episode of Total Divas drew 1.349 million viewers, down from the previous episode’s 1.671 million viewers.

The show aired during the final hour of SummerSlam, which explains the falloff. Despite viewership being down for the first time, Sunday’s show still had more viewers than the debut episode.

    – After undergoing an MRI exam following his hand injury on RAW, Sin Cara wrestled in a dark match prior to Tuesday night’s WWE Smackdown tapings. He defeated Damien Sandow. No word yet on how the MRI went, but the fact that he was back in the ring the night after his injury is a good sign.

  • Update On Ric Flair/WWE Situation, New Steve Austin Show, Total Divas Rating

-Apparently the specific reasons Ric Flair had heat with WWE management stemming from the already infamous WWE2K14 symposium is because he blatantly buried Daniel Bryan, talked about wrestlers drinking too much and brought up TNA at a WWE event.

-Episode 39 of the “Steve Austin Show” podcast has been posted online. Fans can listen to the latest edition of the show, which features TNA Impact Wrestling star Samoa Joe, at PodcastOne.com.

-Episode four of WWE Total Divas, which aired at the same time the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view was going on, drew 1.35 million viewers. The figure marks a drop of 19 percent from the previous week, and the first time the numbers for the show have dipped since its’ premiere.

  • WWE Total Divas Results (Episode Four): August 18, 2013

    Episode 4: “The “Fat” Twin”
Recap by Ryan Pike (@RyanNPike) for the Wrestling Observer

Nattie and Nikki wander into a lingerie store in whatever city they’re in. Nikki’s looking for something for her boyfriend, John Cena, and asks if Nattie wants to find something for her previously unmentioned boyfriend TJ. Unlike the other previously unmentioned boyfriends on this show, he’s a WWE superstar (Tyson Kidd). Nattie complains that since TJ had his knee injury, their sex life has gone down the tubes. Nikki decides to find something for Nattie to bring home to her man. Mission accomplished.

They’re in Kansas City this week for RAW. Backstage, Ariane admires Nikki’s fake boobs, which Nikki claims are “worth every penny.” Nikki mentions to Brie that she doesn’t understand why she hasn’t gotten some fake boobs, to which Brie glares and says that she’s fine. In a talking head, Ariane discusses her boob size, wishing she had bigger ones. Trinity explains that she thinks Ariane’s boobs are great. The four girls – the Bellas and the Funkadactyls – go to an autograph signing. During the signing, Ariane and Trinity continue discussing Nikki’s boobs. Sitting next to each other, Nikki and Ariane get super passive-aggressive, although Nikki had a tremendous line, pointing to her chest and proclaiming that “the champs are right here.” Trinity notes to Ariane that all the little girls they meet think she’s perfect. Ariane decides to make an appointment for a consultation.

Elsewhere in Kansas City, Bryan Danielson and Brie Bella are looking for something to eat. Brie wants to look her best for the SummerSlam photo shoot. Brie ponders about losing three pounds with a cleanse, while Bryan says he doesn’t think she needs to lose any weight. Over in Tampa, Nattie brings her lingerie home to TJ. Nattie explains that they’ve known each other for years. TJ is watching wrestling. Nattie notes that she’s been taking care of TJ during his recuperation, but is concerned some fire has gone out of their long (long)-term relationship. She emerges from a side room in her lingerie, but he barely bats an eye. Nattie wonders if she needs to dress up like Daniel Bryan for her man to notice her. I hope not. Nikki has breakfast with Eva Marie and JoJo, noting she feels she needs to keep an eye on the new girls – both to take care of them and to keep an eye on her competition. They discuss breasts and Instagram. Someone on Instagram called Nikki “the fat twin,” which makes her sad.

In San Diego, Bryan, Nikki and Brie have dinner. Bryan mentions that Nikki has dessert everyday. They make a big show of Nikki eating a weird sundae, and Brie gets in a dig about Nikki recently getting her own set of “twins” in a voice-over. Brie challenges Nikki to do a cleanse with her for 20 days, which includes no dessert and no alcohol. (“Does wine count as alcohol?”) Over in LA, Jon (Uso) and Trinity meet Ariane, who is carrying a small dog and dressed like she’s heading to the club. Trinity says she wants to bring Jon along for a male opinion, hoping to talk her out of her plan. Ariane and Trinity leave Jon in the waiting room and go meet a woman who had implants put in awhile ago so they can see how they look. The woman just whips her boobs out for the girls to inspect, prompting Trinity to retrieve Jon from the waiting room so he can see them too. He immediately blushes and covers his face with his hands and the girls all giggle. Everyone takes turns grabbing the woman’s fake boobs. This is the strangest thing I’ve ever seen on TV, but to be fair, I rarely watch E! Maybe this happens on here all the time. Jon returns to the waiting room, not knowing what to make of things. A doctor comes in with breast implants for Ariane to try out. She dances around with her implants down her top. The doctor says it would probably be about a month, maybe two, before Ariane can get back into the ring after getting implants.

Elsewhere, the Bellas get lunch at a juice bar. Brie says tough love is the best way to get Nikki in shape for the SummerSlam shoot. Brie loves her drink, while Nikki says it’s like drinking someone’s garden. Over in Tampa, TJ and Nattie go to lunch. Nattie mentions planning their wedding. TJ and Nattie debate what constitutes a small wedding, with Nattie noting she has 36 cousins and a wedding of 150 people. TJ asks if at this point, it’s just a piece of paper. Nattie complains in a talking head that TJ doesn’t care about their wedding. The Bellas drive around and discuss their cleanse. Nikki complains that she’s grumpy and hungry. Trinity and Jon hang out by the pool when Ariane shows up with her fake boobs and walks around in a bikini. Ariane says she’s committing to her “test drive” with her fake boobs. Ariane jumps into the pool and loses one of her implants. The girls laugh, as they learn that implants float.
Nikki and Brie hang out at Nikki’s apartment, again discussing their cleanse. Brie notes that Nikki is quiet and figures she’s up to something, finding an empty wine bottle in the trash. Brie’s mad at Nikki and the girls bicker. Nikki says she’s not fat, while Brie’s frustrated that her sister flaked out on their cleanse. Back in LA, Vincent returns, waiting to see Ariane’s new look. He’s excited and asks if he can name them. He’s like a kid at Christmas, naming the left implant Janice. Later, the Bellas arrive at the beach for the SummerSlam photo shoot. The girls bicker some more and Nikki walks off angrily.

In an odd bit of editing, we get a tease for a scene to come after the commercial break…and then cut immediately to that scene, with no actual commercial break. Anyway, the Bellas discuss how Brie’s criticisms make Nikki feel. Brie apologizes, saying she was probably projecting her insecurities. The girls make up and pledge to rock the shoot. Then we get a nice video montage of them rocking said shoot. Brie says she’s fine if the Bella twins don’t look identical, as they’re not clones – they’re twins. Back in Tampa, TJ says he has a surprise for Nattie and they go for a car ride. Nattie’s excited. They arrive at the courthouse, saying they can get the marriage done right then. She gets mad at him and says he’s not romantic, saying he pays more attention to the cats than he does to her. She says she’s not even getting married to him. After a commercial break, the couple continues to bicker.

Meanwhile, it’s time for RAW at an unidentified city. Ariane continues goofing around with her implants, even showing them off to Sandra the seamstress and asking her to sew them into her outfit. Trinity is worried that this will make the two of them look silly. Despite the exterior shot of the arena being from Raleigh’s PNC Arena, the girls are talking outside the Calgary Flames locker room entrance. Sandra encourages Ariane to get fake boobs. Later on, Ariane grabs her gear with the fake boobs sewn in and shows them off for the Bellas, JoJo and Eva Marie. Nikki thinks Ariane wants fake boobs so she can become a fan favourite. Aren’t the Funkadacyls babyfaces anyway? Anyway, RAW kicks off and Ariane comes back into the locker room to discover one of her implants is gone from her gear. Trinity laughs and notes that the whole situation is funny. A producer summons the girls for the next segment. Ariane panicks. I bet that dastardly Nikki Bella stole her implant.

In the ring, the previous match ends – Dean Ambrose pins Daniel Bryan in a match that didn’t take place in Calgary, so who knows when things were taped – and Ariane shoves paper towels into her gear to pad out her chest. The Funkadactyls come out with Tons of Funk as the Bellas watch their match from a monitor backstage. John Cena wanders up to say hello, and the girls inform John that Nikki did steal Ariane’s implant. John says that wasn’t nice and wanders off for his RAW segment. In the ring, Tensai and Brodus beat 3MB and after the match, the Bellas reveal that they took the implant and everyone laughs. In the locker room, the girls discuss implants and the Bellas’ prank, and Ariane decides not to get implants after all.

Back in Tampa, we close things out with TJ actually being romantic for once, with rose petals and candles for Nattie. TJ says Nattie needs to tell him things when she’s upset, and she apologizes. Nattie suggests a beach wedding. They toast to more romance and TJ suggests she try on the lingerie again.

FINAL THOUGHTS: After four weeks, Total Divas seems to have settled into a formula. Nikki and Brie will fight over something petty, then make up. Ariane causes trouble for Trinity with her antics. John Cena and Bryan Danielson will be the voices of reason. JoJo will make faces while Eva Marie does something underhanded. At the end of the episode, everyone will laugh and things will go back to normal, more or less.

The formula works, but this episode emphasized the Bellas and the Funkadactyls, with very little Cena, Danielson, Eva Marie and JoJo, to the show’s detriment. While Nattie and TJ’s story wasn’t bad, this was the third “relationship on the rocks” story we’ve seen in the last two weeks. And for a show that was roughly half about breasts, it sure did drag on and on.

  • E! Renews Total Divas, Additional Episodes To Air This November

The following press release was issued on Wednesday:

E! AND WWE EXTEND DEBUT SEASON OF NEW HIT SERIES “TOTAL DIVAS” WITH SIX ADDITIONAL EPISODES

“Total Divas” Has Grown Each Week Since Its Premiere And Hit A Series High With 1.7 Million Total Viewers In Its Most Recent New Episode On Sunday Night

Los Angeles, CA, August 14, 2013 – E! has picked up six additional episodes of its popular new series “Total Divas,” which offers the first-ever look into the world of the WWE Divas both inside and outside the ring, bringing season one to a total of 14 episodes. The product of two entertainment giants, E! and WWE, teaming with reality hit maker Bunim-Murray Productions (“Keeping Up With The Kardashians”), “Total Divas” has successfully attracted infatuated pop culture enthusiasts who have made the series an instant hit after only three episodes. The series’ sexy stars have let cameras into their glamorous private lives, their sometimes rocky romances and behind the scenes of their hectic sports entertainment careers. Building on its ratings success and enormous social media buzz, E!’s “Total Divas” will continue with new episodes airing Sundays at 10pm with a summer finale on Sunday, September 15 at 10pm. The six additional episodes will debut this fall starting Sunday, November 17 at 10pm ET/PT only on E!

“Our audience has embraced ‘Total Divas’ in a big way and we’re excited to build on the show’s tremendous momentum with six additional episodes,” said Jeff Olde, Executive Vice President, Program Development. “For many women, WWE Divas possess aspirational personalities because of their glamorous lifestyles and international stardom, but it’s their genuine and dynamic personal lives that have truly captivated so many viewers.”

The series was an instant hit with audiences, delivering 1.3 million total viewers in its debut, and has built week-to-week since with its most recent episode on 8/11/13 delivering 1.7 million viewers. The third episode of the show on 8/11 was its strongest yet in all key 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 targets including women and men as well as households.

With only three episodes having aired, “Total Divas” has a lot more to share this season as the lines between the Diva personal lives and ring lives begin to get blurred. Nattie’s (WWE Diva Natalya) relationship with her long-time fiancé WWE Superstar Tyson Kidd hits a rough patch as the flame that brought them together starts to flicker. What was supposed to be smooth sailing to a fairytale wedding has become a rocky road and a relationship in trouble. Meanwhile the devilish duo, “The Bella Twins,” are separating for the very first time. Brie Bella is moving to a quieter home base in Phoenix with boyfriend WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan, which leaves her sister Nikki Bella and her boyfriend WWE Superstar John Cena living their life of luxury across the country in Tampa. The women also struggle to mend their strained relationship with their father, who was in and out of their lives growing up, and deal with body issues as Nikki gets dubbed “the fat twin” by “haters” on social media.

Tag-team partners Trinity (WWE Diva Naomi) and Ariane (WWE Diva Cameron) who make up “The Funkadactyls” are at odds when they begin to question what each other bring to the ring and how it will further their individual careers. On their own, Trinity is at odds with her fiancé WWE Superstar Jimmy Uso when she refuses to wear her engagement ring so she is more appealing to male fans, and Ariane is considering a breast augmentation which requires her to stop wrestling for an extended period of time, thus taking “The Funkadactlys” out of the spotlight they have worked so hard to get into.

Back at NXT, the WWE developmental system, the Divas-in-training are being put through the ringer at performance boot camp and while JoJo is questioning her dedication to becoming a Diva, fiery redhead Eva Marie is continuing to make herself known in the sports entertainment business for all the wrong reasons as she defies the rules set by WWE, flirts with veteran Superstars while hiding her engagement, bites off more than she can chew with performance promises she can’t keep and bumps heads with the big bosses.

Total Divas is produced by WWE and Bunim-Murray Productions. Jon Murray, Gil Goldshein, Jeff Jenkins and Russell Jay are Executive Producers for Bunim-Murray Productions.

The fall premiere of “Total Divas” begins November 17th at 10pm ET/PT. And don’t miss this summer’s new episodes of “Total Divas” every Sunday at 10pm ET/PT on E!

*SPOILERS* For This Season Of WWE Total Divas

  • WWE Total Divas Results (Episode 3): August 11, 2013

The following is a recap of episode three of the WWE reality show “Total Divas.”

The report is courtesy of WWE.com:

The Bellas are at loggerheads after Brie and Daniel Bryan decide to move to Phoenix in order to be closer to their beloved dog, Josie. The prospect of losing her sister doesn’t sit well with Nikki, and she goes off on the happy couple while they pack their San Diego home. Given that Brie is also missing important meetings due to the stress of the move, Nikki blames Bryan for her sister’s absentmindedness. But as John Cena helpfully opines, Nikki’s merely made Bryan her scapegoat, and the twins settle their squabble, and Bryan even gets a pass from Nikki. All together now: YES! YES! YES!

JoJo’s athleticism impresses WWE trainers, but a concussion sidelines her right about the same time her boyfriend, Sebastian, comes to visit. Unfortunately, the distance between the two has pushed the young lad to his breaking point, and he hands JoJo an ultimatum: Choose him or the job. Despite some initial waffling on JoJo’s part … well, you know what they say: No one man is bigger than WWE. By episode’s end, Sebastian is dismissed and JoJo – bolstered by support from Natalya and Eva Marie – says she is in it for the long haul.

Naomi’s (Trinity’s) own relationship with Jimmy (Jon) Uso is in trouble when he accuses her of being hesitant to take the first step past their engagement. The awkwardness boils over into an explosive fight and, later, a scheduled match between Tons of Funk & The Funkadactyls vs. The Bella Twins & The Usos. Despite Naomi’s attempts to change the match (alas, Talent Relations is the harshest mistress of them all), not only does the bout proceed as planned, but she defies WWE regulations by attacking Jimmy when they’re in the ring together. Thanks to some post-match girl talk with Cameron, though, Naomi reconciles her hesitation with a fear of failure, and the two make up in adorable fashion. Somebody call my momma, and tell her to grab the Kleenex.

*SPOILERS* For This Season Of WWE Total Divas

  • Reason RVD Has Yet To Start A Feud In WWE, Total Divas Preview For Tonight

-According to reports, one potential reason Rob Van Dam has had random matches on television upon returning to WWE, as opposed to being locked into an actual feud with one specific wrestler, is because of the terms of his new WWE contract.

Van Dam’s current deal with WWE calls for him to work for 90 days before taking an unspecified amount of time off, before returning back to action for the company.

-The following is the official preview for the third episode of WWE Total Divas, which airs on Sunday night at 10pm on the E! cable channel:

“Naomi and Jon Uso come face-to-face in the ring. JoJo ends up giving her boyfriend an ultimatum. Nikki disagrees with Brie’s decision to move to Phoenix.”

  • Backstage Details On Scripted Storylines On Total Divas, How The Cast Is Perceived By WWE

According to reports, the storyline on episode two of the WWE Total Divas reality show this past Sunday where Eva Marie lied about her background as a dancer in the hopes that she’d be selected as Fandango’s on-air dancer, was almost completely scripted.

It is widely known that Stephanie McMahon is almost impossible to get a hold of on Monday’s, due to her WWE behind-the-scenes responsibilities. However, Stephanie claimed she would make time if the Total Divas crew came up with a good storyline for the show. This led to her involvement in the aforementioned Eva Marie/Fandango dancing drama, where she scolded Marie for lieing during a sit-down office meeting filmed for the show. According to reports, Eva Marie didn’t know Stephanie was in character during the meeting, which resulted in the real tears we saw on the show.

It’s interesting to note that while WWE talent are aware that Total Divas is scripted, word from Monday’s RAW this week following the airing of episode two is that Eva Marie is “passionately hated.” Apparently the only person on the Total Divas cast that is viewed as coming off worse than Marie is Ariane, who performs under the ring name “Cameron” as one-half of the Funkadactyls in WWE. One source inside WWE said, “Cameron is an idiot, but everyone in the company already knows that so it’s nothing new.”
