  • WWE Edits Hart’s TE Speech, Goldberg Upset With Hitman

Bret Hart spoke with Tough Enough contestants on last night’s episode. The terms “wrestling” and “wrestlers” were censored during his speech.

It is said that show producers Shed Media US are still in talks with WWE regarding what terms can and cannot be used on the program.

The WWE Hall of Famer discussed his appearance on Twitter, writing, “The main points I said were to never hurt yourself or your opponent and to never forget the fan inside you that was sitting in the stands.”

Two-time World Champion Bill Goldberg, who struck Hart with a thrust kick to the head during a match at WCW Starrcade 1999 (resulting in a severe concussion), replied to Hart’s remarks.

He wrote, “I feel like you were talking to me….”

Regarding the injury, Hart speculated years ago that he may have suffered up to three additional concussions within matches over the course of that day along with the days immediately following Starrcade, having been unaware of the severity of his injuries. The sum total of those injuries left Hart with post-concussion syndrome and ultimately forced his retirement from professional wrestling. Hart wrote a Calgary Sun column in which he said that Goldberg “had a tendency to injure everyone he worked with.”

Austin said off-camera there was no point walking her through the Bottom 3 again since she’s already gone through the process three times.

  • Christina Says Her Sister Inspired Her To Try Out For WWE

Tough Enough contestant Christina Crawford hopes to one day win the WWE Divas Championship. But the person she would like to take the belt from is the same person who inspired her to be a Diva in the first place — her sister, Victoria — better known as Alicia Fox.

    * PICTURES of Christina Crawford

“I would love love love to win that title one day,” Crawford told CentralFloridaFuture.com. “But it would be the best if I could take it from my sister.”

Ever since her sister joined WWE, Crawford wanted to follow in her footsteps. She said Tough Enough is a once in a lifetime opportunity that she can’t pass up.

“What started my dream of working with the WWE was when my sister got hired, but I was too young at the time to apply,” Crawford said. “My dream was to go to school and then I would try out for the WWE.”

She is excited that she may work with her one day.

“She is on the main roster and I haven’t gotten the chance to work with her yet,” Crawford said. “But we do hang out together and it’s great moral support.”

One of the most important things the trainers teach the contestants is how to avoid getting hurt. Even though wrestling is staged, the injuries are real.

“I am not worried about injuries because the training environment is always safe,” Crawford said. “The trainers are helping us learn to build and to protect our body.”

  • Ratings Drop For Monday’s Taped UK RAW & Tough Enough

The ratings are in for Monday’s episodes of Tough Enough (Week 3) and WWE RAW from London, England.

    – Monday night’s episode of WWE Tough Enough scored a 1.53 rating with 2,196,000 viewers. This is down from the previous week’s 1.81 rating and is the lowest rating for Tough Enough so far.

    – This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW scored a 3.1 cable rating with 4.7 million viewers. This is down from last week’s 3.45 rating.

Overall, Tough Enough could be alright settling in around a 1.5 .. RAW is back down to pre-WrestleMania numbers, a sign that some of the excitement has died down – especially with much of the big name talent (Rock, Austin, Trish) that helped RAW inch closer to the elusive 4.0 mark around ‘Mania time.

  • Two Contestants Gone From Tough Enough, Steve Austin News

    — Both Mickael and Michelle parted ways with Tough Enough on tonight’s episode, although only Mickael was eliminated.

Early in the episode, Michelle quit the competition, stating she had to be home for her daughter as she is the love of her life. Mickael was eliminated from the competition after failing to make an impression on the judges and not giving a compelling argument on why he should stay.

The episode also featured a special appearance by former WWE Diva Stacy Keibler, who taught cheerleading traits to the contestants.

    — Steve Austin is in Vancouver filming his next action movie, Recoil.

    – A new FCW Diva was introduced at last Thursday’s Florida Championship Wrestling television taping. She is Irena Janjic, a recent signee from Lance Storm’s wrestling school in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

  • Tough Enough *Spoilers* Miss USA, Eliminations

With WWE Tough Enough drawing strong ratings on Monday nights and looking like a hit show for WWE and the USA Network, we’ve got an update with some behind-the-scenes details as well as some spoilers regarding future eliminations. You’ve been warned – spoilers head!

WWE Tough Enough finished filming 10 episodes around March 19-20. Ariane was already back home on February 18th according to her Twitter, so it was obvious she was going to be eliminated first. AJ Kirsch and Eric Watts returned home March 20th which could indicate they are in the finale. If not, it’s likely they’ll make it far. Miss USA Rima Fakih returned home March 16th, which indicates she makes it far in the show- but not to the finale.

The Wrestling Observer reports that Miss USA had to use lots of body makeup to cover up all of the bruises on her legs once she was eliminated from WWE Tough Enough and had to return to her Miss USA duties. While a bruised-up Miss USA doesn’t sound like the best spokesperson for the organization, pageant officials gave Fakih permission to do Tough Enough because they felt it would help her get an acting career started.

It’s said that while in the Tough Enough house, Fakih drank heavily, used a lot of foul language and was very critical of Miss USA owner Donald Trump. It will be interesting to see how much of her crazy antics wind up on the show and what gets edited out.

It’s been heavily speculated that Rima will join the WWE Divas roster, regardless of how she does on Tough Enough. She holds the Miss USA crown until June 19th.

While most of the eliminations have been taped already, the winner of Tough Enough will be announced during a special live broadcast in a few months.

    * Gail Kim and Natalya vs. Maryse and Melina

    * Chris Masters vs. Curt Hawkins

    — A scene was edited from the Tough Enough elimination process where Steve Austin asked contestant Michelle Deighton what her favorite match was. While Ariane Andrew sealed her fate on the program by naming Melina vs. Alicia Fox as her all-time favorite match (and being unable to name another match), Deighton said Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart.

    — Former WWE Women’s Champion Lita celebrates her 36th birthday today.

  • Bill DeMott Says TE Contestants Didn’t Deserve To Be At ‘Mania

Monday Night Mayhem with Bill DeMott
Hosts: The Big Mosh and “The Chairman of the Board” Todd Vincent
    Report by Paterson from N.J.
Airs every Monday at 6:00 P.M. (CT)
    Show available at MondayNightMayhem.com.

Why he made the decision to return to the WWE as a trainer for Tough Enough: “It’s very simple. I was sitting home, and my phone rang. I looked at the area code. It was 203, and I said ‘Damn what did I do now?’ Anytime I see those three numbers for Connecticut, the first thing I think is ‘What did I do?’ It was John Gaburick, my friend for years and who ran the Tough Enough’s in years past. Before he could get the sentence out of his mouth, I said I was in. He didn’t have to explain anything, or after the hereafters, and who was apart of it. Before I knew it was ‘Stone Cold’ (Steve Austin), Trish (Stratus), and Booker (T) I was in, because I take great pride in associating myself with the Tough Enough brand.”

How the Tough Enough contestants took to WrestleMania weekend and the overall experience of WrestleMania XXVII: “I don’t think they got it, and there’s a part of me that says they did not deserve to be there. I don’t mean it disrespectfully. I understand Raw and premiere the kids there, but WrestleMania? You have to earn that spot. There’s cats on the roster that weren’t at WrestleMania, so I don’t think they understood it. I just thought they were like ‘Wow, we’re at WrestleMania, and there’s cameras ollowing us, and we’re it right now.’ I guess that’s my crossover with Reality TV right now. I’m always going to protect the business.”

How many of the Tough Enough contestants (besides the winner) he believes have the potential to perform in the WWE: “If I gave my honest opinion, which I pretty much do 99 percent of the time, there might be three that have potential to go to the farm system. The finale will be live, so everybody will see who the two or three are. I think for reality TV, a lot of people are picking their favorite talent and putting their money on them. I think every week someone is going to be shocked at what happens.”

Whether or not there have been discussions of a return to the ring or the announcer’s table after the season finale of WWE Tough Enough airs: “There’s been some very interesting conversations since returning from L.A. and shooting the first nine weeks of the series. I think people are going to be very surprised if they see me back in anything other than Tough Enough. I like Tough Enough to be my baby and be there as long as they’ll have me, and I feel like even after the training stuff is done in producing and bringing the show further and further. But I think people are going to be surprised at my role, whether it be a new role or an old role with WWE. I have to say, don’t cash me out of making an in-ring appearance or two.”

  • WWE RAW & Tough Enough Ratings For Monday Night

The ratings are in for Monday’s episodes of WWE RAW and WWE Tough Enough – and both shows are down from the prior week’s post-WrestleMania shows.

    – Monday’s WWE RAW drew a 3.45 rating, down 10% from last week’s 3.82.

This week’s 2-hour broadcast averaged 5.45 million viewers, down only 3% from last week’s 5.60 million viewers.

This week’s first hour drew a 3.37 rating (5.34 million viewers) and the second hour drew a 3.52 (5.56 million viewers).

    – Monday’s episode of Tough Enough in the new 8pm timeslot (before RAW) drew a 1.81 rating, down 27% from last week’s premier, which drew a 2.51.

This week’s viewership was 2.79 million viewers, down 16% from last week’s 3.33 million viewers.

Overall, not a bad showing this week for for WWE. A slight drop from the post-WrestleMania shows was expected, but the numbers held on pretty strong.

  • Latest “Tough Enough” Elimination, Maryse To Answer DiBiase

    — Matt Capiccioni (a/k/a Matt Cross) was eliminated from last night’s episode of WWE Tough Enough because Steve Austin didn’t like the fact that Capiccioni had been on the independent wrestling scene for nine years and hadn’t “broke free from the pack.” This, as well as his general reluctance to take risks, led to him being cut.

    — WWE.com is advertising the following for tonight’s episode of WWE NXT: “On WWE NXT, host Maryse was told by her boyfriend, Ted DiBiase, that she must pick him or the show. Is the beautiful and witty Diva’s Tuesday night fun over?”

    — Edge is advertised to surrender the World Heavyweight Championship at tonight’s WWE SmackDown taping in Albany, New York. • WWE Draft News, Punk Trashes Tough Enough Girls, WM27

    – With WrestleMania 27 in the history books, there is talk within WWE about when the company will hold this year’s talent draft. There had been talk a few weeks ago that there would be no draft this year, but we have not heard anything concrete about the draft being scrapped. If the draft does take place , it will not be this month as in previous years, but would likely take place in June, when WWE will be holding two 3-hour episodes of RAW.

    – CM Punk made some interesting comments on Twitter this week after watching the premiere episode of Tough Enough. About Miss USA Rima Fakih, Punk tweeted:

“So far this rima broad needs to take her padding and cover her weird face.”

He also wrote the following about Ariane Andrew, the first contestant to be eliminated this week:

“I know this Arianne as, “tampon girl”. Maybe I’ll tell the story…”

    – It’s worth noting  Triple H vs. The Undertaker was the only match at WrestleMania 27 to last over 15 minutes.  which went almost 30 minutes. John Cena vs. The Miz went just under 15 minutes before it was re-started and after the second fall, it went 15 minutes and 20 seconds.

  • Heat Between Trish & Morrison, Diva Getting Married, TE

    — According to sources within WWE, there is said to be a lot of backstage heat between WrestleMania tag team partners John Morrison and Trish Stratus. Morrison was reportedly very upset that Trish was booked for a match at WrestleMania, which he felt took away a spot on the card from his girlfriend, Melina. Morrison was very stubborn before the match regarding the booking of the angle leading up to the match, rejecting several ideas along the way. At WrestleMania, Morrison is visibly cold to Trish, not making any eye contact with her and apparently snubbing her in the post-match celebration and turning his back to her.

Tough Enough contestant Jeremiah Riggs, the mixed martial artist, met with TNA Wrestling’s Director of Talent Relations Terry Taylor about joining the promotion before he wound up on the reality program. • Matt Hardy Denies Being Involved In Altercation At Hotel

It was reported earlier that an altercation took place late Sunday night at a sports bar between members of the Tough Enough cast and TNA Wrestling performer Matt Hardy.

The incident occurred at the Marriott Marquis hotel in Atlanta, where WWE held the reality show contestants and consumers who purchased WrestleMania XXVII travel packages.

Many of the cast members were watching WrestleMania at the hotel’s sports bar and warmly greeting fans. Michelle Deighton, in particular, was giving fans chops. Hardy and girlfriend Reby Sky, who were in town for the Dragon Gate USA Show, appeared at the bar (after being denied access to the WrestleMania after-party) and reportedly engaged in an argument with the Tough Enough members at 3:00 a.m., causing a scene in front of fans.

Shortly after the story broke out, Matt Hardy posted several messages on his Twitter account poking fun at Wrestling Observer editor Dave Meltzer, as the story was attributed to his website. He jokingly wrote, “Well, since it’s out- Yeah, @RebySky & myself beat up the entire Tough Enough crew after her DGUSA show-Reby beat up 4 girls, I beat 9 guys!”

He later clarified his remarks, writing, “Just so everyone knows, the silly story we’ve been joking about 2day was created by a dirtsheet, not by Reby or I. Solid reporting there WO.”

Sky clarified the situation as well, adding, “The dirtsheets were writing that me & Matt had gotten into a “serious altercation” w/the Tough Enough cast on WrestleMania weekend, which was so ridiculously erroneous that we made a sarcastic comment about “taking down” the entire cast. SARCASTIC. As in ha-ha-making-a-funny-because-the-dirtsheets-are-crazy-get-a-fking-sense-of-humor.

“For the record, Matt & I had a wonderful weekend – He came down to support me at @DragonGateUSA & we were nowhere near the TE cast.”

Shortly after the incident took place, Hardy wrote on his Twitter account, “Well, it’s official..Me & @RebySky are muthaf*ckin Banditos..I always liked the Hilton better anyway.”

Sky wrote, “Banned for life. It was worth it.” She then added, “We’re headed back to North Carolina – Goodbye Georgia, your crazy fans, your crazy cops & your even crazier hotel security personnel.”

When asked on Formspring what she and Hardy were banned from, Sky stated they were “banned for life” from an Atlanta hotel.
