Yesterday (Sun. July 29, 2018) Brian Christopher (Grandmaster Sexay) sadly passed away. The son of WWE Hall Of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler reportedly attempted to hang himself in prison.
He passed away in a local hospital several hours later. The news stunned the professional wrestling world. WWE COO Triple H broke his silence on the matter. “The Game” said he and his wife, Stephanie McMahon, are thinking of the Lawler family at this time:
Incredibly sad news about the passing of Brian Christopher. A tragic loss of life. Both @StephMcMahon and I are thinking of Jerry Lawler and the entire Lawler family this evening. https://t.co/Siqrx5Vt1c

Some video highlights can be seen below courtesy of WWE NXT’s Instagram account:

They say the cream rises to the top……. does anyone have some balloons or a life vest?
Cody Rhodes & The Young Bucks Hype Upcoming Matches
One-half of The Young Bucks, Matt Jackson, recently took to Twitter to hype he and Nick’s upcoming Tag Team match at Dominion. The Young Bucks will take on Los Ingobernables de Japon (Sanada and Evil) for the IWGP Tag Team Titles:
Ring Of Honor (ROH) also posted a video in which Cody Rhodes hypes his upcoming Triple Threat match against Dalton Castle and Marty Scurll for the ROH World Title at the Best In The World pay-per-view (PPV) on June 29th in Baltimore:
WWE Monday Night RAW stars Fandango and Tyler Breeze were recently guests on Edge and Christian’s E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness to talk about several professional wrestling topics. Breeze and Fandango’s tag team saw a huge rise in fame due to the success of their Fashion Files segments.
Breeze said that Vince McMahon didn’t really understand the segment, but said to keep it up due to how much success they had on social media:
“A lot of the reason why it was a success and that it became a thing was because of social media.” Breeze recalled, “I guess we did one episode and it was kind of supposed to end after that, but I guess it was the number one trending thing on SmackDown or something like that. And even Vince, he was like, ‘I don’t get it, but the people like it, so keep doing it.’ And it was all-of-a-sudden eight months later because of social media.”
While Breeze was never considered a top talent during his developmental days, it turns out that a spot he had with a young Cesaro during a match actually saved his job:
“I’ve never been the chosen one or however you want to say it, so when I got hired, I kind of had been working for about four years.” Breeze elaborated, “Cesaro, it was his debut in FCW. He just got signed and I had his first match on FCW TV at the time, which got viewed by like 50 people in Florida.
“And they put all this emphasis on it, like, ‘okay, this guy’s special. We’ve got to make it a big thing.’ Whatever. So he did a thing where he threw me up in the air and uppercutted me out of the air and I guess it looked really cool, but I guess the people literally went, ‘okay, don’t fire him yet. There might be something here,’ so one little thing like that saved me for another year.”
Breeze was again almost cut from the company, but he impressed Triple H enough in a match that The Game saved him from receiving his walking papers:
“We end up having the first NXT pilot at Full Sail [University] to test out and see if Full Sail work work for the venue for NXT.” Breeze remembered, “and I ended up having a match with one of the guys in Ascension. He was just basically going to kill me, but he was my friend so he goes, ‘no, let’s have a match.’
“So we have this match and Triple H happened to be there and he just kind of looked over at Dusty [Rhodes] and he goes, ‘who’s this guy? Like, why have I never seen anything of his?’ And, all-of-a-sudden, I got saved again. I just kind of keep getting saved along the way. All-of-a-sudden, Dusty says Hunter liked what he saw and I’m off the list again.”
It turns out that when Breeze was supposed to be cut, it was going to be used as footage for the E:60 special on NXT:
“I was picked on it and it was revealed to me after from Triple H that I was supposed to be the guy who doesn’t make it.” Breeze admitted, “I was supposed to be like, ‘hey, let’s follow you around for ESPN and at the end, you’re getting fired.’ And, of course, I had no clue, so I’m think, ‘oh, that’s awesome – this ESPN thing is going to be really cool.'”

Impact Wrestling Star Braxton Sutter has announced his departure from the company. He revealed the news via the following tweet, while also thanking them for giving him his first wrestling contract:
Word is that Sutter asked for his release from the company and his wish was granted after the latest round of TV tapings. His bookings from the latest tapings also indicated that he was on his way out of the company.
Braxton first appeared for Impact Wrestling 3 years ago during the One Night Only event X-Travaganza 2015. While he never won any championships in the promotion, his departure is still considered a loss for the company as he did a great job promoting Impact whenever he was given a chance.
Tyler Breeze On The Unselfishness Of The Miz
Tyler Breeze and his partner Fandango were recently guests on E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness podcast where they talked about a number of wrestling related topics.
While talking about the A-Lister, the Miz, Breeze explained him to be one of the most unselfish guys and gave the example of the WrestleMania 32 Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship:
“Man, Miz, by far, one of the most unselfish guys. he kind of proved that (at) was WrestleMania when he was standing up on a ladder and he let Zack Ryder climb up and shove him off to win the IC title. A lot of guys would have a problem with that, and Miz did it with a smile on his face, so that’s kind of cool and kind of rare in our business.”
Apart from this, Breezango also talked about the recent Superstar Shakeup, the stacked Tag Team Division of SmackDown Live and a possible feud with the revival.
WWE SmackDown star Tyler Breeze recently spoke with TheWhig.com to talk about various topics.
During the interview, he was asked about the notion that he’s been misused on WWE’s main roster after being a fan favorite in NXT.
Keep in mind that Triple H oversees the creative in NXT while WWE Chairman Vince McMahon has the final say with the creative direction on the main roster.
“It’s easy to look at it like that. I don’t like to look at it like that. I’m still very young, I’ve still got a lot of career ahead of me. It’s not really about being misused. I like to use Shawn Michaels as a reference where he came up and he never really even became the Heartbreak Kid until he was eight or nine years in WWE. Everything takes time.”
In May of 2016, WWE officials decided to pair Breeze and Fandango as a tag team.
Since then, they have gone from being occasionally used to having a small part on SmackDown Live once they got their Fashion Files gimmick over.
“Getting paired with Fandango … the first little while, we were kind of struggling to find what our chemistry was and then finally it clicked, and everything just finds its place. I think being here with Fandango really helps. I help him out, he helps me out, and I think we’ve really built something special. We were both trying to figure out what our chemistry was, and all of the sudden we just started throwing ideas out there and one of them was to be the Fashion Police. We filmed little videos and then all of a sudden it kind of just took off.
We just have a lot of fun with it and other people have joined in and they would have fun with it. All of a sudden it became a thing that was every week on Smackdown for about eight months. It definitely played a big part in kind of getting some momentum behind us. We still have some unfinished business. We still have some loose ends with The Usos that we want to tie up. Until we get those Smackdown tag team titles, we don’t really have a need to go on our own. We’re having fun together. Until that happens, I don’t see us splitting up any time soon.”
SmackDown Live Superstar Tyler Breeze recently did an interview with Sky Sports to talk about several professional wrestling topics. Breeze discussed overseas tours with WWE and how much he and his fellow Superstars enjoy visiting places such as Britain and Ireland:
“We don’t get to go there too often so when we do show up, the crowds are a little bigger and they’re very, very excited to see everything that they watch every week on TV in front of their faces, live. When we go over there we’re so excited because the crowds are so excited and you can’t help but feed off that energy and give it back.
“As soon as we finish those tours, we can’t wait to go back. We’re literally sitting here waiting to see what the schedule is going to be and what cities we’re going to be going to. It’s something that we get to look forward to. Some of those shows are so much fun.”
The English crowds in particular always come up with some interesting chants at WWE events. Oftentimes Breeze finds himself in the ring wondering what exactly they’re saying:
“They all have a little trait that stays with you. You almost have to get people to explain sometimes when the chants break out. You’ll be in the ring wondering what they’re saying. It’s a big thing over there and it’s great that people get into it that much. It’s all part of the atmosphere and the culture and it’s really cool to see people that into what we do.”

WWE SmackDown Live Superstar Tyler Breeze recently did an interview with Planeta Wrestling to talk about several professional wrestling topics. You can find the highlights here below:
You’ve had some amazing matches as a solo competitor in NXT, like the one Jushin “Thunder” Liger or Apollo Crews. What happened when you got called to the main roster? Why do you think you didn’t have that amazing run in singles competition?
“It’s all about timing. It was one of those things when I was ready to get out of NXT. I proved my point there and there really wasn’t much more for me to do and it was time to go. Whether it’s coming up here and for doing what I was doing, you have to adapt. It’s a new environment and basically that is what I was doing the first little while. I was kind of comfortable in my NXT role and up here is not like that.
“You can’t make the quick transition over, you have to adapt to new opponents, new environment, new TV shows and I was kind of minding my footing. Even getting paired with Fandango for the first little while, we where struggling to find where our chemistry was and we finally clicked. Being paired with Fandango really helps out. I help him out, he helps me out, and I think we’ve really done something special with that.”
Who came up with the idea of the Fashion Files and how do you create your weekly segments? What is the process of putting all the pieces together?
“It was kind of a mix of opinions. It was one of those thing when we were trying to find where our chemistry was and we just started to throw ideas out there and one of them was to be the Fashion Police. We just started with little ideas, little videos and all of the sudden it took off. We were having fun with it and other people were enjoying it and all of the sudden it became a thing.
“It was on Smackdown every week for about eight months and we are still doing it now, but we are trying to find the transition and try to focus on other stuff. But it was very important to get some momentum behind us.”
How does it feel to be one of the most entertaining duos in WWE and not been able to perform in one of the most funnest [Royal] Rumbles in the last decade?
“Ha ha! It’s one of those things… Everybody has their time, it’s all about patience. I know that is very easy to get frustrated and seated at home asking, ‘Why me?’ It’s all about patience. We have a extremely talented roster and everybody eventually get the chance and you just have to be positive and enjoy the ride.”
– Kane (real name Glenn Jacobs) has released a new shirt to help fund his mayoral campaign in Knox County, Tennessee. The new shirt is inspired by the old WWE RAW logo, and he also has some inspired by The Bullet Club as well. He Tweeted out the following:
NXT star Velveteen Dream has been a hot topic of discussion as of late, and he has been drawing a lot of comparisons to SmackDown Live star Tyler Breeze. Breeze was a hot singles competitor coming into the main roster from NXT in late 2015, however, that hasn’t translated over after his call-up. He has seen great success with his tag team “Fashion Files” gimmick alongside Fandango. Fans are worried that if Velveteen Dream is called up to the main roster he’d “just be another Tyler Breeze.”
Breeze has seen these criticisms on social media, and responded to one fan in particular about them. This led to a huge back-and-forth between Breeze and the fan as they discussed the current state of the WWE. Both sides brought up some very good points. Check it out:
Another Tyler Breeze? I wonder if people realize… I was never “ruined” on smackdown live… and am currently buying my 3rd house… being another Tyler breeze sounds pretty solid ? https://t.co/TExtONcxVX
Yeah we know. We've heard it a million times from others. The talent these days is only concerned with the size of their wallet, and less concerned on the quality of their character. Blah blah blah…
You’re tellin me if u got Tyler Breeze vs AJ Styles u wouldn’t be glued to your screen? Because that’d be nothin but quality from both of us. As fun as it is to risk our health every day for pessimists like u.a lil?to survive and stay healthy for u goes a long way. Anythin else? https://t.co/ms2PNUcym6

C ya at wrestlemania when there’s thousands of ppl there to enjoy themselves and u can sit by yourself judging each match and character and how much better things used to be btw I’ll still sign your shirt for u when u stand in line for axxess ? https://t.co/axaGjzGAvG
There’s been matches this year that have had me wrapped up in it watching backstage and had people in full arenas standing on their feet. If to u that’s “shitty” than there is no pleasing you so respectfully You choose to be unhappy and I’m sorry to hear that https://t.co/aBa3ALQiAN
– The WWE’s Battleground pay-per-view (PPV) will play host to a Fatal Five-Way match between Tamina, Lana, Becky Lynch, Charlotte, and Natalya to determine the new No. 1-contender for Naomi’s SmackDown Live Women’s Championship. Per a report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Charlotte Flair is expected to win the match and her ‘heel edge’ as of late on Tuesday nights is expected to play a part in her feud with Naomi.
– The past few weeks on SmackDown Live, the team of Breezango has been involved in a storyline in which somebody has been trashing their offices. It is expected that the culprits are going to be revealed at Battleground to confront Breezango. The Observer reports that SAnitY is expected to be the team that has been messing with Breezango over the past few weeks, and are set to make their main roster debut.
This would bee weird timing, however, as SAnitY is set to compete for the NXT Tag Team Championships against the Authors of Pain at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III. It was also speculated that Luke Harper and Erick Rowan could be reuniting in order to feud with Breezango.
Discussion: Who do you think will be the team that is revealed as Breezango’s hecklers?
Former WWE Superstar Jack Swagger has made his first tweet since he was granted release from the company. A fan sent him a tribute video and Swagger thanked the fan and stated that his “reign has just begun”.

Tyler Breeze returned to NXT at Thursday night’s live event from Salina, Kansas.
Prince Pretty squared off against Shinsuke Nakamura in what was described the match of the night and one of Breeze’s best ever. Breeze was extremely over with the NXT crowd and Nakamura got a big pop when he took a selfie with Breeze’s selfie stick midway through the match.
In light of his lackluster run in WWE thus far (he was 0-49 for the year at one point), many fans have been calling for Breeze to return to NXT, where he was a title contender and working featured matches. Someone like Emma went back to NXT, was repackaged as a heel and is now back on the main roster. We’ll see if this was just a 1-time appearance or if Tyler could be heading back to NXT on a more regular basis.
