  • Million Dollar Man Speaks On Undertaker’s Streak Ending, His Past With Warrior

The following are highlights of a recent Inside The Ropes interview with “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase:

On his past comments about Ultimate Warrior and his WWE Hall Of Fame induction: “I mean, I don’t hate the guy. It goes back to anybody that watched the DVD, The Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior, that really tells the story. Obviously, if Vince has decided he needs to be in the Hall of Fame, I’m not going to begrudge that and obviously I’m going to be there. I quite frankly, don’t know how many of my peers believes he really deserves it because…it’s not just about being the star it’s about a number of things, it comes back down to the gratitude thing. None of us would be stars, when I was inducted I had a list of people that I needed to thank. Harley Race was there in the crowd and I pointed Harley out. I think that’s it, the overall lack of gratitude that the Warrior has shown over the years. Where it makes most of us go ‘Who do you think you are?’ Doesn’t he realise that none of this would be happening if it wasn’t for a lot of help from a lot of people. I think that’s pretty much the consensus. I don’t begrudge him. I’m not that kinda guy to hold a grudge. If I had to feel one thing towards Jim Hellwig, I guess it would be pity a little bit. I’ve heard other people say that he just generally has the attitude that it’s about succeeding in life and you’re going to have to do what you can to get ahead and if that means stepping on people along the way then so be it. That, in my opinion, is a very sad commentary and a very poor way to look at life. So am I going to begrudge him for going into the Hall of Fame? No.”

On Ultimate Warrior’s induction speech: “I often wonder if Vince has thought about that. Here’s his one opportunity to lay it all out there and vent out his frustrations on all of us who think he isn’t worthy. Hopefully he won’t do that. I heard that Linda McMahon is inducting him. You have to ask yourself why? Why is Linda McMahon inducting him? Maybe he couldn’t find anyone else to do it.”

On The Undertaker’s undefeated WrestleMania streak ending: “People ask me, I have mixed feelings. One part of me says leave the streak, it’s an honor to who he is, and how his character has endured and to Taker who’ll always be remembered. But you know, the other part of me think it’s like when Andre The Giant allowed Hulk Hogan to beat him at WrestleMania 3, he passed the torch. I feel that’s one of those things that has to happen. After all, it’s a business. You’ve got to have new stars and you need people to pass the torch to build those stars. I don’t know, but either way I’ll be happy.”

  • Hulk Hogan Reveals How His WWE Return Came About, Talks Warrior/WWE HOF

As previously reported, WWE Hall Of Famer Hulk Hogan appeared on Huffington Post Live on Monday to promote WrestleMania XXX. Beyond the sex tape information that was reported yesterday, Hogan also talked about a couple of current WWE-related topics.

As far as his actual WWE return, Hogan noted that it came about when Triple H saw him at a charity event in New York City a few years ago. He said Triple H approached him and asked him straight out, “when are you coming home?” Hogan said that he mentioned to Triple H that he didn’t think Vince McMahon wanted him back, but Triple H assured him that he did. Hogan noted that TNA public relations executive Mike Weber was standing right next to him when Triple H was talking to him.

Hogan again dropped the “never say never” line when asked about working one final match, but did note that he wouldn’t ever be able to do his trademark leg drop again.

When the subject of The Ultimate Warrior came up, Hogan mentioned that he and Warrior don’t communicate much these days, but did say that he’s excited to see him be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame this year.

  • WWE Wants “Big Four” Legends At WMXXX, Trying To Bring Back Steve Austin

WWE is reportedly planning on making a big push for Hulk Hogan merchandise and legends merchandise based on a “big four” of Hogan, The Undertaker, Ultimate Warrior and Steve Austin. As part of this deal, WWE is wanting to get all four to appear at WrestleMania XXX in April.

As previously reported, Austin has mentioned that he had no interest in going to WrestleMania just to be there, and that he would only be interested in attending if he had a good reason. WWE reportedly wants to come up with a good storyline to bring Austin to WrestleMania this year in a non-wrestling role. The idea has apparently been pitched to Austin, however we have yet to hear of any kind of deal being reached.

Hulk Hogan Speaks On His Relationship With Ultimate Warrior, RAW Return & More

The following are highlights of a recent WWE.com interview with Hulk Hogan:

On his RAW return and if he still gets nervous: “Oh yeah, there were nerves. Even the night before, I couldn’t sleep. I was tossing and turning. I’m thinking, “How are these fans going to welcome me back?” But when I came out right at the top of the show and they saw me, it was almost like I had walked behind a 747 jet. The only way I can explain it to you is it was this energy and it was so loud it was like, “Woah!” It made me take a step back for a minute. I was like ‘Okay. Yeah, this works.'”

On how he was received by the wrestlers in the locker room: “You always hope for the best, but that thought of, “Who’s this new guy coming in?” will pass through your mind. A lot of these new Superstars weren’t born when I wrestled Andre the Giant at Shea Stadium, so, you never know. But it couldn’t have been a better welcome. I mean it was nothing but love. When you shook someone’s hand, they looked you right in the eye and they were serious. One Diva said, “Oh man. I’m a huge fan of yours. You’re the biggest Superstar ever!” I said, “Man, that’s cool. Thank you.” So it was really neat coming from a bunch of very good people.”

On how his WWE return came about: “Over the last couple years, there’ll be texts between Vince and I. “Happy birthday brother!” on August 24th, his birthday. Christmas, Thanksgiving. We’ll touch base like that. And then I guess the word got out that I was jobless. I didn’t know what I was going to do. I was thinking of going back to playing music or something. On a Tuesday, I was officially out of work. And Friday morning I was drinking my coffee and I hear my cell phone. And it was Triple H. “Hey brother, just checking on you.” I’m like, “Hey, dude, I’m just contemplating my navel here. I’m officially out of work, I’m unemployed.” And that started us talking. In my heart, I was hoping to come back here. I was hoping to put the period on the end of the sentence and it was the logical extension. It just made so much sense to come back.”

On his relationship with The Ultimate Warrior: “I don’t know. Triple H was giving me the broad strokes of The Ultimate Warrior and his concerns with Hulk Hogan. I said, “Triple H, I’m easy, brother. After everything I’ve been through, and everything I’ve learned, for me, it’s about this moment forward.” I said, “I understand that there might be a little situation, but you don’t have to worry about me.” I would love to shake his hand, look him in the eye and say, “Brother, nothing but love for you. Whatever I did, I apologize for it. I don’t even need for you to apologize if there was anything on your end. Whatever it is, brother, nothing but love for you, let’s do business.” And if we could be friends? Even better, because he’s a good guy.”
