WrestleMania 28
– Shawn Michaels is scheduled to be the special referee for the Undertaker vs. Triple H match at WrestleMania. Since Triple H and Shawn Michaels have both failed twice at ending the streak, it lends something to the idea that they could work together to screw Undertaker.
Triple H might put his career on the line against the streak. The Undertaker vs. TripleH match will be promoted as the #2 match on the card, behind Cena vs. Rock.
– John Cena recently mentioned that his match vs. The Rock at WrestleMania would be even bigger if it was for the WWE championship. At the time he made the comments, WWE was strongly considered putting the title on Cena heading into WrestleMania.
The WWE title being on the line would make the match seem bigger and elevate the status of the WWE title. Additionally, if the title wasn’t on the line in this match, it doesn’t look great that the WWE title match would be billed as the #3 match on the show. That said, WWE is firmly behind Punk as champion and the Rock vs. Cena is already guaranteed to be a huge draw without the belt on the line.
– As for current WWE champion CM Punk, the latest news on his WrestleMania opponent is that he’ll be wrestling Chris Jericho, who is expected to return in early 2012. While all indications have been that Jericho will be returning on January 2nd, there’s a strong chance WWE will try to throw off all the online reports and have somebody else be the person behind the cryptic promos we’ve been seeing on RAW in recent weeks.

– After The Rock claimed that his new “Boots To Asses” t-shirt was the best selling WWE t-shirt, CM Punk responded by re-tweeting the following message from one of his followers:
“The Rock comes up with another lie..Claiming his shirt is the most sold in WWE. We all know it’s the @CMPunk T-Shirt, that’s most sold.”
Punk also updated fans on the x-rays he had done on Tuesday, revealing that it was his right hand that might be fractured.
Punk posted the following picture of his x-ray – coincidentally doing one of John Cena’s hand gestures with the caption, “Hustle. Loyalty. Respect.”

WWE’s website published an article on Thursday speculating about the Undertaker’s whereabouts – and when he’ll return. The Undertaker, who made his WWE television debut 20 years ago at Survivor Series 1991, hasn’t been seen on television for months.
Jim Ross Comments On Undertaker Wrestling At WM28
The storyline-driven article questions whether the Undertaker could appear at Survivor Series – or at WrestleMania 28 from Miami.
“If The Phenom is to reemerge in time to compete on The Grandest Stage of Them All, he will be attempting to extend The Streak to 20-0. With that in mind, it is possible that The Deadman may not be seen until The Show of Shows.”
The article also plays up the Dead Man’s history of disappearances and returns.

The cracked vertebrae diagnoses was given because WWE has a new company policy where they will not be using the term “broken neck” for storyline injuries.
WWE said Triple H will be out past Survivor Series, so it’s possible his match with Kevin Nash will take place at TLC in December.

Wrestler turned mixed martial artist Brock Lesnar says in an interview with ESPN.com that he expects to wrestle one more match for WWE.
“I think I will. I think under the right circumstances I will,” he responds to Jon Robinson’s query regarding one final WWE match. “I think if Vince McMahon and I were able to sit down at the same dinner table and break some bread that we could come up with some kind of game plan. At the end of the day, I’m an ultimate fighter. That’s who I am and that’s who I’ll always be. I was an entertainer but at the end of the day, I’m still as real as it gets. I think a lot of things have to fall in the right places for something like that to happen.”
Lesnar is asked who he would like to wrestle of talent he never had a match with; he responds “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.
“Ironically it’s probably the guy that walked out on me. The guy that took his ball and went home. A guy that I was supposed to face and I think that he was just plain downright scared to get in the ring with me because he was one of those guys that was on top and saw a huge threat in Brock Lesnar at the time. That’s “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. I worked with everybody and anybody that was anybody there and if I came back, I think the guy that I would come back to fight is “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.”
Rumors surfaced last year about Lesnar possibly facing The Undertaker at WrestleMania. He comments on how the match would have been like.
“I was a true wrestler. I was a Division I national champion. I came into the business wanting one thing and one thing only, and that was to be the champion, and I wasn’t going to let anybody stand in my way. I think there was one guy that had a problem with that and that was Undertaker. If I were to have gotten in the ring with him I would have ripped his arm off and f—— beat him with it.”

Once I get to where I want to be on TV, then there will be no need for the show, and that’s a good thing.” Also in the WWE Magazine interview, Ryder said he decided to start the show to get himself noticed, which he knew would “either work or get me fired.”

After all, it was a year and a day to the date that the Deadman lost a Buried Alive match to Kane with the aid of the Nexus at 2010?s Bragging Rights. In an interview with TheSun.co.uk, TNA star Kurt Angle reveals that The Undertaker wanted him to end his WrestleMania streak back at WrestleMania 22 back in 2002. Angle told WrestleCast hosts Rob and Joel:
“The person who wanted to do it was Undertaker himself. I was flattered, for him to go to Vince McMahon and pitch it.
“Undertaker at that point never had a five-star Wrestlemania moment match.
“He figured that the only one he could do it was me, at the time. Thank God a couple of years later he had Shawn Michaels, and it worked.
“But Undertaker really wanted to have that match, he asked Vince to push our match back from No Way Out to WrestleMania and, since I was champion they wanted me to keep the title, Undertaker was willing to take the loss.
“To me that meant a lot because Undertaker had a lot of respect for me — and I had more respect for him than he did for me.”
