Vince McMahon Furious At RAW, Backstage Interviews From RAW & More

WWEShop.comimage 5810028 11310656 is already selling the new Triple H “Tremble Before The Hammer” t-shirt that he debuted last night on RAW.

– Vince McMahon was irate backstage at Monday’s RAW when CM Punk gave John Cena a piledriver during the main event. The piledriver is a banned move in WWE and the only reason Vince did not take disciplinary action was because it was CM Punk and John Cena performing the move. Here’s a video clip of the spot:

– Matt Striker interviewed the Prime Time Players, Darren Young and Titus O’Neil, backstage at last night’s RAW for a WWE.com exclusive video. Young mentioned he’s been away for a while but now he’s back.

Ryback Heel Turn & John Cena Feud Discussed, Punk-Cena News

– Vince McMahon said to be tired of the John Cena vs. CM Punk feud, so their match next week on RAW will be the last time we see them cross paths for a while.

– The Rock has been nominated for “Favorite Male Buttkicker” at the 2013 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, which airs on March 28th.

WWE superstar & executive Triple H has been nominated for “Most Metal Athlete” at the 2013 Revolver Golden Gods Awards, which takes place on May 2nd and will be hosted by Chris Jericho.

– A Ryback heel turn has been teased lately, with him losing several high profile matches and walking out on his team at Elimination Chamber. If WWE does go through with the heel turn, it would lead to a John Cena vs. Ryback program after WrestleMania. While Cena could certainly benefit from a fresh heel monster to play off of, Ryback is somewhat limited in the ring and losing the crowd support would hurt his character a lot.

Former WWE Writer Calls Vince A Genius & Says He Already Has Plans For WrestleMania 30

Former WWE Writer Matt McCarthy was interviewed by Jeff Rubin of the Jeff Rubin Jeff Rubin Show and spoke about the creative process behind booking pro wrestling, what makes a match memorable, the hardest part of working in the WWE, and what it’s like to have Vince McMahon as your boss.

McCarthy said he heard from members of the current writing team that last year, Vince McMahon already had an idea of what he wanted to do for WrestleMania 30.

“I’m sure Vince knows what he would want to at WrestleMania 50 whether he’s around to see it or not,” McCarthy said. “From the writers standpoint, we try desperately to write out as far as out we can, and try to stick it as much as we can, and God knows the wrestlers would want us to. But, it’s the nature of what that show is and what that business is that makes it very, very difficult.”

He explained that WWE’s creative staff always has a longterm plan, but things get changed around on a weekly basis and it’s often hard to arrive at the original destination.

“You try to map out an entire grid of they’re going to fight here this week, then next week this is going to happen, and that’s going to lead to a PPV match. But, after the PPV, this is going to happen and that is going to happen (sigh), and it always changes every week,” McCarthy said. “You try really, really hard – it’s almost like predicting the weather. The further out it is, the less likely you’re going to be right that it’s going to happen.”

McCarthy called Vince McMahon a “genius” at several times during the interview, with one of his biggest talents being his ability to manipulate live crowds.

“It’s a small, simple little thing, but as a performer, it completely blew my mind,” McCarthy said. “The bad guy was just beating up the good guy in the ring for this tag match and I hear Vince scream into the headset, ‘Somebody put on a hold! Somebody put a hold on ’em! These people are dead!’ And I’m like, ‘What is he talking about?’ Then, immediately, the bad guy puts the good guy in the headlock and they’re just down on the mat. Like clockwork, the audience starts clapping and cheering; they’re rooting for the good guy to get out of this hold.

“This guy (McMahon) is just sitting back here watching this on TV and he is genius at working the audience and getting them to do exactly what he wants them to do.”

It’s a great interview and definitely worth going out of your way to listen to. JeffRubinJeffRubinShow.com.

Vince McMahon Appearing On Raw Tonight?, Mark Briscoe Tries To Auction Face Teeth, Will John Cena and AJ Kiss?

– The official WWE website teased Monday night that Vince McMahon may appear on Raw. Their message states, “WWE.com has learned Mr. McMahon has been spotted in Greensboro, N.C., host of tonight’s Raw. What is the Chairman of the Board doing in Greensboro? Is he going to be on Monday Night Raw? Tune in at 8/7 CT on USA Network to follow this developing story.”

– Mark Briscoe of Ring of Honor attempted to auction off his false teeth on eBay last week but the listing was later removed by the website since auctioning human remains and body parts is prohibited. Here is a video ROH put out promoting the auction.

– The official WWE website has released a poll asking whether AJ Lee and John Cena will kiss tonight on Raw. According to the poll results, 74% believe they will smooch.

Update On John Laurinaitis’ Future In WWE, Fear Over RAW’s Rating, More On RAWActive Voting

– There is talk in WWE that John Laurinaitis will be leaving the company soon and will not be returning to television as an on-air character.

– The RAWActive Twitter poll on Monday’s RAW with Kane and Daniel Bryan was given the green light by Triple H. Vince McMahon is reportedly not a fan of the social media service, but with Triple H running the show due to Vince being out of the country on Monday, WWE “allowed the fans” to pick CM Punk’s opponent.

As noted noted earlier this week, Daniel Bryan revealed on Twitter that contrary to what was reported on RAW, he actually received more votes than Kane.

– After the third hour of Monday’s WWE RAW lost a staggering 638,000 viewers from the second hour, there is a lot of concern about how Vince McMahon will react. Especially because McMahon was out of the country and not running the show, it will be easier to assign blame to others.

Tough Enough Winner’s Trophy Auctioned Off, WWE’s Work With The Troops

– Former WWE superstar and Tough Enough winner Maven Huffman’s Tough Enough trophy is now up for auction on eBay for $600 after a fan won the trophy in a storage unit auction, paying just $100 for it. Maven told TMZ that he’s bummed about losing the trophy but hopes the new owner “cherishes [it] as much as I did.”

– WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon recently commented to Dvidshub.net about why he, The Miz, R-Truth, Eve Torres and Layla decided to visit the United States troops in the Middle East on an aircraft carrier this year, the USS John C. Stennis:

“We’ve been to Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan so many times. We wanted to do something different this year and this is awesome.”

– Dolph Ziggler visited visited United States Air Force troops this week at the Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City, Louisiana. Footage of Ziggler’s visit will likely air on WWE’s Tribute to the Troops special later this month. Ziggler tweeted a picture of himself with one of the troops, which you can view below:

Vince McMahon Laying Low At Television Events, WWE Merchandise Sales, Papa Shango

– As previously reported, the atmosphere at Monday’s RAW was different without Vince McMahon there. While the mood was less stressful without “the boss” there changing things on the fly, the downside was that Vince’s leadership was missing and issues with the writing team and producers were not handled as efficiently by Triple H. One source called the night “more chaotic than usual” as a result.

Typically, Vince McMahon does not interact with the wrestlers much prior to RAW, since he’s busy working with the pruducers and running things from the Gorilla position. On Tuesdays for SmackDown, Vince has been giving Triple H more responsibilities as of late in an effort to groom him for when he’s the one running the show.

– WWE merchandise sales has been described as “haves” and “have nots.” A few talents are reportedly making “great money,” with all others not faring too well.

– During a recent interview, Charles Wright revealed that WWE had plans for him to return as grittier version of Papa Shango in 1997, but the idea was ultimately shelved due the introduction of another dark, supernatural character in Kane. In response to feedback on Twitter, Wright said Jerry Lawler assisted him with the character’s look and that he may post online a Polaroid photo that was taken then if he can find it.

Backstage News On CM Punk’s Long Title Reign

With CM Punk now over one year into his historic WWE title reign, f4wonline.com reports that one of the main reasons Punk has held on to the championship for so long has to do with The Rock.

There have been several instances over the past year when WWE has strongly considered having Punk drop the title. However, Vince McMahon has repeatedly stuck with Punk as champion because The Rock agreed to wrestle CM Punk for the WWE Championship during the summer.

The Rock announced at RAW 1,000 that he wants to win the WWE Championship one more time before he retires. Since then, The Rock and CM Punk have been exchanging trash talk on Twitter and the feeling is that The Rock would not be happy if Punk dropped the belt and his WWE title match was against someone else.
