He mentioned that if he did come out of retirement for a match, he would be interested in facing off with either “Stone Cold” Steve Austin or The Undertaker, as he said he has no interest in working a match with Ryback.

*Spoiler* Two More Aces & Eights Members Revealed

Warning: The following contains a spoiler for the January 31st episode of Impact Wrestling:

At Friday night’s TNA Impact Wrestling tapings from Manchester, England, it was revealed that Garrett Bischoff and Wes Brisco are members of Aces & Eights.

The reveal came after the Kurt Angle vs. Mr. Anderson steel cage match. Angle won with the ankle lock in what was described as a very good match by our live correspondent.

After Angle won, an Aces & Eights member climbed the cage. Angle waved Wes Briscoe in to the ring to help him and locked the cage. The masked Aces & Eights member revealed himself to be Garett Bischoff. Wes Brisco then turned on Angle and helped Garrett Bischoff beat him up.

Three Matches Announced For Next Week’s Impact, Wes Brisco Earns TNA Contract Through “Gut Check”

    – Three matches have been announced for next Thursday’s Impact Wrestling broadcast, which is the final show before Final Resolution.

    * TNA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy, AJ Styles and James Storm face Bobby Roode, Christopher Daniels and Kazarian in a tag team match.

    * Samoa Joe defends the TNA Television Championship against Devon.

    * Kurt Angle takes on a member of Aces & Eights, D.O.C. (f/k/a Luke Gallows).

    – Wes Brisco is the newest member of the TNA roster. After defeating Garett Bischoff in his “Gut Check” challenge match on Impact Wrestling last Thursday, becoming the first contestant to defeat his opponent, he received a “yes” from two of the three judges to earn a contract—Bruce Prichard and D’Lo Brown both said yes, while Taz said no.

Brisco, who is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Gerald Brisco, remarked on the accomplishment immediately afterwards via Twitter, “Greatest day of my life just made on the TNA Roster!!!!!” He was also congratulated by company president Dixie Carter (see photo).

Ex-WWE Talent Working As Mystery Attackers, Update On Sorensen

    – On last week’s episode of Impact Wrestling, a mysterious group of masked men known as “The Aces and Eights” attacked both Hulk Hogan and Sting at the show’s conclusion. Two of the attackers were former WWE performers—Wes Brisco, a former developmental wrestler, and the wrestler formerly known as Luke Gallows. Gallows has participated in all of the group’s attacks while Brisco debuted last week. For the time being, the wrestlers taking part in the angle are being used as extras rather than full-fledged characters.

It was also noted that former WWE Superstar Chris Masters, who has been campaigning via Twitter to join the organization after working a dark match last month, has not taken part in the angle.

    – Jesse Sorensen appeared at Destination X on July 8 to address his neck injury and hope that Zema Ion captures the vacant TNA X Division Championship so he can take the title away from him. He then vowed to reign as X Division Champion at next year’s Destination X pay-per-view event and cash in the title to become the TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Despite the angle being put in gear, Sorensen’s return to the squared circle remains indefinite as it could take place anywhere from three to ten months from now.

Angle Working On Comedy Movie, Masters-TNA, Wes Brisco

    – Kurt Angle is working on a fictional comedy movie called “Singlet: The Dana Kelly Story” about a former Olympic boxer who is trying to make a return to the Olympics as a weightlifter. Angle is reaching out to TNA fans to help fund the project.

    – There is some confusion surrounding WWE letting Wes Brisco leave and work for TNA. Brisco, 29, is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Gerald Brisco and had been getting rave reviews at WWE developmental before getting let go. He’s on the smaller side and a great athlete, which would have made him a good fit for WWE’s planned cruiserweights show. For whatever reason, WWE let him go and now he’s being considered for a regular spot on TNA’s roster.

    – There has been talk of TNA bringing in Chris Masters as one of the masked men who attacked Sting, but he’s booked to wrestle in Russia the night before Bound for Glory. This would make wrestling in Phoenix the following night difficult, but not impossible.

HHH’s Return Date Set, Tag Team’s Call-up Nixed Due To Injury

    — Tentative plans call for Triple H to return next month at the Royal Rumble for a match with Sheamus.

    — It is said that Wes Brisco and Xavier Woods were tapped to be called up to the main roster fairly soon before Brisco tore his ACL at a FCW live event last month in Punta Gorda.

    — According to video game industry sources, sales for Smackdown vs Raw 2011 are at the same level as last year, which would be considered a major positive considering that sales throughout the industry are down. It’s also a positive because sales for the game were down the past two years.

His father, WWE Hall of Famer Gerald Brisco, commented on the news to SLAM! Wrestling on Saturday.

“He just got the call to go to the pay-per-view, Raw and Smackdown this week. I guess they’re going to take a look at him,” he said. “Personally, I think he’s a little ways away. I don’t want to rush him. But if they want to take a look at him, great, take a look at him. He can learn a lot in those three days.”

    — Kelly Kelly is scheduled to appear today from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the KIA of Orange Park located at 6373 Blanding Blvd. Jacksonvvile, Florida, 32244.
