Undertaker Teases Rematch With John Cena On Instagram

The Undertaker has teased a rematch with John Cena on Instagram.

“The Deadman” joined the social media world not too long ago, and its been entertaining to say the least. Undertaker has shared photos of himself at concerts, vacations and even showed off his new gun safe.

He also posts a lot of old photos from his career with people such as The Rock and Paul Bearer. Undertaker’s latest picture was a shot from his WrestleMania 34 meeting with John Cena.

Undertaker defeated “The Leader Of The Cenation” in New Orleans in a squash match. Cena has expressed interest in a rematch since the defeat.

Many have speculated that the match could take place at SummerSlam. However, there are currently no indications that Cena or Undertaker are booked for the show.

The WWE’s Super Show-Down in Australia on October 6th has also been suggested. The only issue with that is Undertaker is slated to face Triple H on that show.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter has since reported that there have been talks “around in certain circles including insider circles.”

Undertaker Teases Rematch With John Cena

All rumors aside, Undertaker now seems to be getting in on the fun. He posted the following photo from he and Cena’s match in April:

In an interview with Sports Illustrated earlier this year, Cena talked about his WrestleMania loss to Undertaker and said it was an honor to bring back a WWE icon:

“I did not do well in this match. My ‘WrestleMania Moment’ was to spend the time in the crowd and not do well in a very short performance, but I loved it because it got the job done.

“The focus was not me, the focus was someone else. Often times, we look at things so selfishly, asking, ‘What’s in it for me?’ Well, what was in it for me was the chance to reintroduce a WWE icon.

“I had to stretch the suspension of disbelief to its breaking point to do it, but it was awesome.

“Every single week, the crowd would chant at the top of its lungs and no one thought I would be sitting in the crowd at WrestleMania, but I was able to do that. I was able to go out and be handily defeated in three minutes and bring back an icon.

Hillbilly Jim Reveals Why He Almost Skipped WM 34 Before HOF Induction

WWE Hall Of Famer Hillbilly Jim was recently interviewed on The Toddcast Podcast to talk about several professional wrestling topics. Jim revealed that he nearly skipped out on WrestleMania 34 this year after having a difficult time in Orlando the year before. That all changed, of course, when he got the Hall Of Fame call:

“I wasn’t really gonna go to WrestleMania this year because I had such an awful time last year,” said Jim. “I said to myself, if I get home, I’m not gonna go to this again this year, I’m gonna stay off a year because we were in Orlando, Florida last year and I had the worst time getting up there and getting back from it.

“I was three hours delayed out of the airport getting in to Orlando. Then, the whole weekend down there, I was just out of sorts. Whatever I did, I seemed like I couldn’t get caught up. It seemed like it was stressful and I didn’t enjoy it. Then, lo and behold when I came back, tried to get back home, I was four hours delayed. So, I said, if I get home, I’m not going next year.”

Jim tried to avoid WWE, who were relentlessly trying to get ahold of him, as much as he could just prior to WrestleMania. He told Mark Carrano in a voicemail that he thinks he’s going to skip out on “The Show Of Shows” this year:

“8:30 that morning, [WWE] started calling me, and I was curious,” said Jim. “Cause I know [WWE], when they want something, man, they’re like the government… finally, they start calling again, I’ve gotta make a decision. I picked up the phone, and I call one of these numbers back for this guy named Mark Carrano.

“He was the one calling me, and he had Howard Finkle trying to call me and everybody. I said, I might as well handle this now. So here’s what I did on that Sunday morning. I got his machine, I said Mark this is Billy, blah blah blah. Hope you had a good Christmas and a good New Year, I haven’t talked to you a while. But look. I know you’re trying to get me for WrestleMania in New Orleans, but I think I’m gonna pass this year.”

After hanging up the phone, Carrano called Jim right back and told him something that completely changed his mind – “Vince wants you in the Hall of Fame”:

“That was like getting hit in the ear by George Foreman,” said Jim. “I wasn’t ready for that. I totally was just trying to get out of going in the first place. I had no idea about this. I did not know this was in the workings.

“I didn’t know they would offer this, I didn’t know they had this going on. And my brain just knod of shut down, and I was talking like I had marbles in my mouth. And I said, ‘Mark, I gotta reboot my brain, here. And so that’s how I found out about it.”

  • Ronda Rousey Reportedly Had Food Poisoning Before WM 34

Ronda Rousey Reportedly Had Food Poisoning Before WM 34

Ronda Rousey impressed a lot of people during her in-ring debut at WrestleMania 34 this past April.

The Rowdy One teamed up with WWE Hall Of Famer and Monday Night RAW General Manager Kurt Angle in a Mixed Tag Team match against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Rousey surpassed a lot of fans’ expectations and actually put on one of the more entertaining matches of the night.

In the end, Rousey and Angle emerged victorious. It turns out that Rousey was very ill in the days leading up to her in-ring debut in New Orleans. Triple H recently did an interview with GiveMeSport and revealed Rousey had food poisoning while preparing for the match.

The Game credited Rousey for her determination after she refused to stop training despite how terrible she was feeling. Triple H himself had to stop the training session in order to let Rousey get some rest before the match.

  • Chris Jericho Reveals He Almost Replaced Shane McMahon At WrestleMania 34

Chris Jericho Reveals He Almost Replaced Shane McMahon At WrestleMania 34

Former WWE Champion Chris Jericho almost ended up wrestling at WrestleMania 34.

On the latest episode of Talk is Jericho, former WWE World Heavyweight Champion and SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan was the special guest.

Right out of the gate, Jericho dropped some interesting news about how he almost competed at the biggest event of the year for the sports entertainment company, WrestleMania 34.

He noted that he was the backup plan to be Bryan’s tag team partner at WrestleMania 34 in a match against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

Originally, SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon was supposed to be Bryan’s partner but that idea was in jeopardy due to McMahon’s health problems leading up to the show.

If you recall, in March, just one month before WrestleMania 34, McMahon was dealing with acute diverticulitis and an umbilical hernia.

McMahon had an infection due to acute diverticulitis and was hospitalized for several days in Antigua as he was on vacation with his family before being flown back to a New York-area hospital, where he was being treated with heavy doses of antibiotics.

There was some concern that he would miss WrestleMania 34. Thus, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon reached out to Jericho about possibly replacing Shane in case he couldn’t work.

“A few weeks before WrestleMania, maybe three or four weeks, I get a call from Vince. And he’s talking about Shane and his appendix, or not his appendix, his diverticulitis, and he had an infection in his hand and he had… a staph infection and he had… a hernia. And he goes, ‘Listen, we don’t know if he can do ‘Mania.’

And he had somehow looked, or got someone to look at my schedule, and we had a Fozzy show that day… So he was like ‘I know you’re doing a Fozzy show, and you’re gonna watch WrestleMania with your fans,’ he goes, ‘what would you think about coming to New Orleans if Shane can’t do it?’”

At this point in time, Jericho was last seen on WWE television during a backstage segment with Elias at the 25 Anniversary episode of Monday Night Raw in January. He last wrestled in a WWE ring back in July of 2016.

Outside of WWE, Jericho made several surprise appearances for New Japan Pro Wrestling including his match against Kenny Omega at the Wrestle Kingdom event at the Tokyo Dome.

This was a big match for Bryan as it was his first bout back since he had to retire from in-ring competition due to his history with concussions. However, after two years of fighting for his dream, he was medically cleared.

Bryan chimed in by stating, “We’re in this stage now where they don’t tell the boys anything. So they keep all the secrets from the boys because they’re afraid all the boys are talking to the dirt sheets. And so I asked, cause when Shane called me and told me, he said ‘I’m in the hospital right now. I got diverticulitus while I was in Antigua, and then when they were giving me IVs I got a staph infection from the IVs, and then I have this hernia that’s coming out of my stomach… but don’t worry I’ll be ready for ‘Mania’…”

Jericho continued by saying, “And it’s funny because we were looking, we were googling airports, and it was in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, like the most out of the way place. We were looking up airports close to Hampton Beach and how long is the charter to get there [New Orleans], and he [Vince] was like ‘Okay, you can make it right on time and we’ll give you a police escort, and you’ll basically have to go right into the ring.’

And I said ‘Listen, I’ve got no problem with that, and I know that Bryan has no problem with it. Kevin and Sami – especially Sami – are gonna have heart attacks calling a WrestleMania match in the ring.’ I mean, obviously we would think of some stuff beforehand, but like, I can do it. I don’t have a problem, so can you. We could do it now. But like, Sami is going to die of a frickin’ aneurysm is we do that!”

What are your thoughts on Jericho being the backup plan as Bryan’s tag team partner at Mania? Sound off in the comment section below.

What will be left off WrestleMania 34’s DVD

WrestleMania 34 has concluded this past weekend and WWE fans can expect the DVD to be hitting shelves fairly soon. A report from WrestlingDVDNetwork reveals that the DVD will not be including this year’s WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony.

The Hall Of Fame event ran nearly four and a half hours this year. In its place, the DVD will include the episode of Monday Night RAW the night after WrestleMania 34. The Hall Of Fame ceremony has been included in all WrestleMania DVDs since 2005.

It should also be noted that all matches from the pre-show will be included in the DVD, as opposed to last year.

Days after the conclusion of WrestleMania week in New Orleans, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon took to Twitter to thank the city and the WWE Universe for experiencing WrestleMania 34 this past Sunday night:

  • Shane Douglas Explains Why WM 34 RAW Tag Team Match Was Worse Than David Arquette

Shane Douglas Explains Why WM 34 RAW Tag Team Match Was Worse Than David Arquette

One of the key storylines heading into WrestleMania 34 was who would be Braun Strowman’s tag team partner for his RAW Tag Team Title opportunity against The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro).

Speculation ran rampant from fans as to who the partner could be; with predictions such as The Big Show, Rey Mysterio, Bobby Lashley, Hulk Hogan, and many more being tossed around by fans.

When it came down to it, however, Braun Strowman’s partner was none other than – Nicholas. Strowman selected the 10-year-old elementary school student from the crowd, who just so happened to be WWE referee John Cone’s son.

The decision received a mixed review from fans – with some being happy for the child for getting to participate in such an amazing moment, and others being angered by the call as it devalues the RAW Tag Team Titles and both Sheamus and Cesaro as well.

On a recent edition of the Triple Threat Podcast, “The Franchise” Shane Douglas weighed in on WWE’s decision to have Strowman win the titles with Nicholas. He explained why it was a worse call than having David Arquette win the WCW World Heavyweight Title back in 2000:

“My understanding and from the guys in my entourage (that attended WrestleMania) were saying that the audience kind of died after that match and you could kind of felt the energy leave the room. But we’ve heard for eighteen years that Vince Russo is the worst thing ever to wrestling because he put the belt on David Arquette. As much as I disagree with that decision that was better than putting a belt on a ten year old kid. My thought as soon as I heard this was what about Cesaro and Sheamus?

“They’ve got to go out and do a job to one guy that has a ten year old kid as his sidekick. The only way that could have worked and this may sound terrible but if you think it through it is the only way that could have worked and that is if they had a kid that was a Make-A-Wish kid or a kid that had been sick or something and you bring him in and do something to pop the crowd. It would have still been up-roared by wrestling purists but you would have seen some kind of some light at the end of the tunnel with it.

    Braun Strowman
    Braun Strowman (Photo: Instagram @WWE)

“Vince Russo has been vilified for eighteen years over the David Arquette thing and now we have this. But to be fair and let’s throw some stuff in there from WrestleMania weekend. There was a show that shall go unnamed (but you can find it I’m sure if you looked) where they had The Invisible Man come out and win a battle royal. I go back to Bill Watts and I tell Bill Watts specifically about that and his mouth dropped open when I said it. To me, it reeks of and it seems that nobody has respect for the industry or their own work in the industry anymore.

“If everything is a spoof and everything is a Saturday Night Live skit where does it end? You mentioned in your lead in that Vince Russo has been vilified in this industry to this day and look at the feedback you guys got off of the interview you had with David Arquette. To me, that is so much more plausible as implausible and that was so much more plausible than having a ten year old kid come out of the audience and win the World Tag Team Titles.

“It speaks to all of what is wrong with our business today and this is what everybody hears me say in any interview and that this is the difference of sports entertainment to professional wrestling. There is a very stark difference. Nothing against the kid and I am happy that he lived a dream that he will have the rest of his life and remember forever but that is not what WrestleMania is supposed to be about and that is not what the product is supposed to be about.

“It just underscores to me just how far off the track our industry has gone. After eighteen years of vilification of Vince Russo of that (David Arquette) decision we now get this. In light of and at the same time we get The Invisible Man winning battle royals, we get freeze-frames, we get pretend hand grenades and all of this crazy stuff that has nothing to do with wrestling.”

  • WWE Reportedly Already Has Plans For Ronda Rousey At WrestleMania 35

WWE Reportedly Already Has Plans For Ronda Rousey At WrestleMania 35

Ronda Rousey really impressed during her performance at WrestleMania 34 this past weekend in New Orleans.

The former UFC women’s bantamweight champion teamed up with Kurt Angle to take on the team of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, and the four put on one of the best matches of the night.

Rousey picked up the win for her team by locking in an armbar on Stephanie McMahon, forcing her to tap out. The following night on RAW, McMahon attempted to bury the hatchet with Rousey – who instead pulled a flying armbar on McMahon after ripping off her cast.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio reports that Rousey’s impact on WWE has been so big that the company is already talking about her main eventing next year’s WrestleMania 35 in New Jersey.

No opponent was specifically named for the potential match, but if there’s anyone with the star-power to put on the first-ever female match to main event a WrestleMania card – it’s Ronda Rousey.

  • WWE RAW Results & Live Discussion (4/9)

WWE RAW Results & Live Discussion (4/9)

The April 9th, 2018 edition of WWE RAW was the first episode after WrestleMania 34, and it aired live from the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, LA. <s

    – Stephanie McMahon comes down to the ring to open up the show. Stephanie gets in the ring and on the microphone, and she admonishes the crowd for taunting her for tapping out last night. Stephanie says this was all her master plan, to challenge Ronda Rousey and bring out the best in Ronda like no one else can. Stephanie says she's proud of what she accomplished in bringing out the best in Ronda, then introduces "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey. Ronda comes down to the ring and high-fives fans on the way. Ronda gets in the ring, and Stephanie congratulates her on the win last night. Stephanie reminds Ronda she is under contract to her, and Stephanie says she can put the WWE machine behind Ronda to make Ronda a bigger star. Stephanie says Ronda needs Stephanie in her corner to succeed and get respect from the fans. The fans chant "bullsh*t" and "shut the f**k" up at Stephanie as she talks. Stephanie and Ronda shake hands, then hug, but then Ronda puts her in the arm bar again out of nowhere. Stephanie screams about her arm, then Ronda lets go and heads to the back as medics check on Stephanie. Ronda high-fives fans on the way to the back as Stephanie is assisted to the back. Stephanie cries about her arm as the fans chant "you deserve it." Jojo gets on the microphone off-screen and asks the fans to give some respect to Stephanie McMahon.

    – We go to the broadcast table where Cole, Graves and Coach talk about the "non-traditional" crowd for the night after WrestleMania, and they promote segments coming up with Roman Reigns and Nia Jax.

    – Nia Jax comes down to the ring with her new RAW Women's Title belt on her shoulder. Alexa Bliss and Mickey James come out next, and Alexa gets on the mic and calls both Ronda Rousey and Nia Jax bullies. Alexa says Nia throws her weight around, and it's a lot of weight, and she beat up Mickie for no reason last night. Alexa says she only lost because she was distraught by seeing Mickie attacked. Nia tells Alexa to shut up a couple times, and says she loved beating up Mickie and Alexa last night. Nia introduces her new partner, Ember Moon.

Nia Jax & Ember Moon vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Mickie James: It’s all Nia in the opening moments as she grabs Mickie and tosses her across the ring. Nia drops Alexa next, then goes back to work on Mickie and tags in Ember. Ember gets the tag and cleans house. She hits a springboard moonsault on Bliss, then trips her up and goes back up top for the Eclipse. Ember pins for the three count after a very short matchc.

Winners: Nia Jax & Ember Moon

    – Braun Strowman approaches Kurt Angle backstage, and he’s got his partner Nicholas with him. Kurt congratulates him on the win, but Braun informs him they have to relinquish the tag titles, because Nicholas has a scheduling conflict as he’s still in 4th grade. Braun says as soon as he graduates, they’re coming back to give these hands to the tag division.

    – We see a video package promoting No Way Jose’s debut on RAW coming up.

    – No Way Jose makes his way down to the ring with a group of dancing people in Mardi Gras masks.

No Way Jose vs. John Skyler: Jose strikes first off the opening bell and hits the wind-up knockout punch for the quick win after a squash match.

    Winner: No Way Jose

    – Jose dances to the back with the conga line.

    – Sheamus and Cesaro approach Kurt Angle in the back and say they heard Braun forfeited the tag titles. Kurt says they’ll have to recapture them to become 5-time Tag Champs, and Sheamus and Cesaro say they like the sound of 5-time champs.

The Revival vs. Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows: Gallows starts off in control, but The Revival uses frequent tags to double team Gallows and start working over his leg. Anderson finally gets the tag and he starts laying into Dawson with punches and chops. Anderson cleans house and hits a shot off the top on Dawson. Dawson rolls up Anderson from behind with a fist full of tights, but Anderson kicks out. Gallows misses a shot at ringside, which leads to Wilder getting a blind tag. Anderson briefly fights them off, but The Revival double teams him and hits the Shatter Machine for the three count.

    Winners: The Revival

    – New WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins comes out to the ring next. He gets on the mic and talks about his ups and downs over the last couple years. He thanks the fans for the loud ovation, and says he’s officially back now. Finn Balor comes out to interrupt, and he points out that he didn’t get pinned last night. Balon and Rollins seem to agree on having a singles match, and then The Miz and The Miztourage interrupt. They come down to the ring and Miz gets on the mic, and complains about his loss last night. The Miz seems to indicate that he can’t win without The Miztourage, which Rollins and Balor point out. The Miz teases that he’ll invoke his rematch clause, but he says not now, he’ll do it at Backlash. Miz adds that he and The Miztourage could easily take Balor and Rollins, and Balor and Rollins seem fine with that idea. Jeff Hardy’s music hits and Jeff comes out to interrupt. Jeff joins Balor and Rollins to even the odds, and Miz and The Miztourage retreat and leave the ring.

    – Still to come: Mandy Rose vs. Sasha Banks, and Roman Reigns is in the house.

Sasha Banks vs. Mandy Rose: Absolution is at ringside in Rose’s corner, and Bayley is at ringside apparently in Sasha’s corner. Sasha starts off strong and hits a superplex early on. Mandy and Sasha go back and forth with shots in the corner, and Mandy takes control when she slams Sasha’s neck on the top rope. Sasha fires up with some dropkicks and takes control of the match. The fight spills outside where some distraction from both Absolution and Bayley, and Bayley accidentally hits Sasha. This leads to Rose hitting a knee to the face of Sasha out of nowhere. Rose rolls up Banks immediately after for the three count. Bayley looks disappointing in her involvement, and Sasha looks angry.

    Winner: Mandy Rose

    – Paige gets on the mic after the match and says while some people might already know this, her days as an in-ring competitor are over. Paige gets emotional and says the ring is her home. She thanks the women’s division and Daniel Bryan, because Bryan showed it’s possible to come back from a career ending injury. She thanks Edge for showing her that there is life after wrestling. She thanks WWE for letting her perform and entertain the fans. She says she debut here in New Orleans four years ago, and this is where she wants to announce her retirement tonight. Paige thanks everyone again and heads backstage to an ovation from the crowd.

    – We see some replays of John Cena, Elias, and The Undertaker at WrestleMania 34 last night.

    – Elias comes down to the ring now for a song. Elias has some fun with the fans who repeatedly chant at him. Elias gets interrupted by the returning Bobby Lashley! Lashley hits the ring and drops Elias with a neckbreaker. Lashley picks up Elias for a vertical suplex and he holds him up one-handed for a while then slams him. Lashley heads to the back and high-fives the fans on the aisle.

    – Kurt Angle is in the back on the phone talking about how excited he is to have Lashley and No Way Jose here. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn walk in, who explain that they had a falling out with management. Kurt interrupts and asks if they came here looking for a job, which they answer yes. Kurt says that’s rough, because they got fired for attacking their GM and commissioner. Kurt says his tag division is full, but he “heard TNA is hiring.” The crowd gets loud for that line, and Owens and Zayn plead for a job. Kurt says he’ll offer them an opportunity, but Owens and Zayn have to fight each other to earn it. Owens and Zayn walk off, and Kurt says this is going to get interesting.

    – We see a promo for the upcoming Superstar Shake-up on the RAW and SmackDown rosters.

    – Heath Slater and Rhyno come to the ring and they remind everyone that they were the first SmackDown Tag Team Champions, and then they issue an open challenge to any tag team who wants a piece of them. The Authors of Pain answer the challenge and the Authors come down to the ring with Paul Ellering.

Authors of Pain vs. Slater & Rhyno: Slater hits a superkick early on, but Rezar no-sells it and takes down Slater. Rezar pummels on Slater, then Akam tags in and they clean house. They double team Slater with the Last Chapter for the three count after a short match.

    Winners: Authors of Pain

    – After the match, The Authors seem to tell Ellering to stay at ringside and leave them alone. It appears The Authors have fired their manager Ellering.

    – Roman Reigns comes down to the ring next. Reigns gets on the mic and says he’s here tonight and Brock Lesnar isn’t. Reigns says to be honest he still doesn’t really know what happened yesterday, and people looked at him weird, and Vince McMahon couldn’t even look him in the eye and “smarten me up.” Reigns says Lesnar is a hell of a business man. Reigns says he only found out on the internet that Brock is signed to a new deal and has a new match with Reigns in a steel cage. Reigns says he doesn’t know what the plans are, but if they keep putting him in matches with Lesnar, he’ll be the new Universal Champion. Samoa Joe comes out to interrupt. Joe gets on the mic and says let’s break out the tin foil hats, because Roman thinks there’s a conspiracy. Joe says he’s going to bring Reigns back to reality – Lesnar exposed Reigns last night, and the crowd pops. Joe tells Reigns he’s a failure and a liar. Joe continues to taunt Reigns about being repeatedly beaten by Lesnar, and then making excuses for it. Joe says after Lesnar is done beating Reigns in their next match, Joe will be waiting for Reigns at Backlash to put him to sleep.

    – Apollo Crews & Titus are in the ring awaiting their opponents. Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt appear on the big screen with the Andre Battle Royal statue. They come out to the ring, and we have a match.

Titus & Apollo Crews vs. Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt: Matt and Titus start off dueling “worldwide” and “delete” chants, before locking up. Wyatt tags in early and they double team Titus. Crews tags in and does a back flip to avoid an attack. Hardy and Wyatt agree that Crews’ back flip was wonderful. Sheamus and Cesaro are shown in the back watching on a monitor. Wyatt drops Crews and starts pummeling on him with elbows. Matt asks for a tag and Bray tags him in. Matt now pummels on Crews, then slams him into the turnbuckles repeatedly. Wyatt now tags in and slams Crews in the turnbuckle repeatedly. Matt tags back in and Bray hits a splash in the corner, then Matt hits a Side Effect. Titus breaks up the pin, then Wyatt tags in. Crews connects with a kick to the head of Wyatt, then he goes off top. Wyatt catches crews and hits a side suplex. Matt tags in, and Wyatt throws Crews to Matt for a Twist of Fate. Matt pins for the three count while Wyatt blocks Titus.

Winners: Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt

    – Matt and Bray pose after the match, and Matt leads the crowd in a Delete chant.

    – We go to some photos of Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 34, and some of the headlines about her debut. Cole then introduces a replay of Ronda’s assault on Stephanie earlier in the night.

    – Still to come: Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn

    – We see some more still photos from WrestleMania 34 last night.

Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn: The winner of this one will apparently get a spot on the RAW roster. They go back and forth in the opening moments and Kevin takes control with an elbow to the face and a kick. Sami ends up dumping Kevin out to ringside and then hits a suicide dive. Kurt Angle is shown backstage watching. Sami slingshots Kevin in to the ring post, then rolls him back in the ring. Back in the ring, Sami puts the boots to Owens, then Sami looks for a spingboard off the ropes, but Owens crotches him on the top rope. Owens takes control of the match now and tries to keep Sami grounded. They fight up to the turnbuckle and Sai turns it around and drops Owens. Sami hits the Blue Thunder Bomb for a two count. Owens starts firing up with some shots in the corner, but Sami answers with a big boot, and both men are down. They fight up to the corner again, and Owens hits a brainbuster off the middle rope. Both men are too slow to get to their feet, and the ref counts to 10.

    Winner: Double count out

    – Jojo announces that neither men won, so neither men will get the spot on RAW.

    – Jeff Hardy, Finn Balor and Seth Rollins are backstage, and they run in to Matt Hardy. Matt and Jeff briefly exchange words. Jeff says he left Matt a voice mail but never heard back. They talk about Matt winning the Andre Battle Royal. Matt then introduces Wyatt, who welcomes Brother Nero and hugs him. Matt and Wyatt walk off, and the camera pans out to show a very confused Finn Balor and Seth Rollins watching.

    – The Miz and The Miztourage are out to the ring next.

    – We see another promotion for the Superstar Shake-up next week with Kurt Angle and Daniel Bryan.

    – Next Week: Bray Wyatt & Matt Hardy take on The Revival in tag action; and Bayley vs. Sasha Banks in singles action.

The Miz & The Miztourage vs. Finn Balor, Jeff Hardy, & Seth Rollins: The Miz starts off, but immediately tags in Axel before doing anything. Rollins and Axel go at it now, and Axel gets a shot on him and tags in Dallas. Rollins fights them off and hits a leg drop on Dallas. Jeff Hardy tags in now and hits the Poetry In Motion on both Axel and Dallas. Dallas beats on Rollins until Balor gets the tag, and Balor cleans house. Balor hits a double foot stomp on Axel, then lays into him with chops in the corner. Dallas gets a shot on Balor then Miz tags in. Miz takes control of the match now and hits a neckbreaker on Balor. Gladiators From Charlotte Flair’s WrestleMania Entrance Identified

SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair had one of the best WrestleMania entrances of the night in New Orleans for her title defense against Asuka. Charlotte made her way to the ring accompanied by three men dressed as gladiators – a bit of a callback to when Flair served as one of the masked women involved in Triple H’s WrestleMania 30 entrance alongside Alexa Bliss and Sasha Banks.

It turns out the three men dressed as gladiators for Charlotte’s entrance were NXT stars Tino Sabatelli, Riddick Moss and Dan Matha:

As for Flair’s match, she became the first woman to ever defeat Asuka in WWE history. Flair ended Asuka’s undefeated streak of 914 days with a Figure-Eight that nobody was expecting would force The Empress Of Tomorrow to submit. Despite Asuka being favored to walk out of New Orleans with the gold, Flair pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the night in an incredible match.

Report: Brock Lesnar & Vince McMahon Involved In Backstage Altercation After WrestleMania

Things appear to be getting heated between Brock Lesnar and Vince McMahon.

Last night (April 8), WrestleMania 34 took place inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. In the main event Lesnar defended his WWE Universal Championship against Roman Reigns. The match was not what fans had anticipated.

Going into the WrestleMania headliner, many had expected Reigns to emerge victorious and for Lesnar to make his way back to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Whether fans agreed with Reigns’ fourth WrestleMania main event or not, the general consensus was that the match would be able to deliver. Those in attendance certainly didn’t feel that was the case.

Lesnar won the match after delivering a series of F-5’s. Reigns kicked out of several finishers before finally succumbing to the “Beast Incarnate.” Fans were not having it and made it clear they weren’t fans of the match. Chants of “boring” and “this is awful” echoed throughout the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Apparently, they weren’t the only ones who weren’t happy with the match.

    The Heated Exchange

Ryan Satin of Pro Wresting Sheet reports that Lesnar got into a verbal confrontation with Vince McMahon. Sources told Satin that Lesnar initiated the heated verbal exchange and McMahon fired back. The argument ended with Lesnar throwing his Universal championship. Sources are split as to whether or not Lesnar threw his title at McMahon or a wall.

The report also notes that Lesnar is said to have gone off the script near the end of the match. Satin was unable to confirm whether or not that was the case. SEScoops.com will keep you up to speed as more details emerge from this reported confrontation.

    https://twitter.com/totaldivaseps/status/983124786627915776

Opinion: Rollins, Balor and The Miz put on a very solid match to kickoff WrestleMania 34. The crowd was into it and in the end and gave Seth a great reaction when he won the title. The Miz seems to be undergoing a transition into a face. He called off The Miztourage and wanted to win this match on his own. Of course, The Miz could revert right back into an annoying heel tomorrow night, but WWE has been using the birth of his daughter to claim he is a changed man. He certainly was a different character tonight and we will see that turns out going forward. It will also be interesting to see what WWE has planned for Finn Balor going forward.

Charlotte Submitted Asuka To End Her Streak

Charlotte Flair defended the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Asuka tonight at WrestleMania 34. Charlotte was in a throne on the entrance ramp with smoke surrounding it. https://twitter.com/totaldivaseps/status/983131257184903168

Charlotte applied the Figure Four and then bridged into the Figure Eight in the middle of the ring. Charlotte applied the move while using only one arm and then Asuka had no choice but to submit. Charlotte Flair is still the SmackDown Women’s Champion and Asuka’s undefeated streak is over.

After the match, Asuka grabbed a microphone and shouted “Charlotte was ready for Asuka!”. Asuka then congratulated Charlotte and the two hugged in the ring.

Opinion: This was a very good match, but I completely disagree with the decision to have Asuka’s undefeated streak come to an end at her first WrestleMania. I would have preferred for that to be reserved for a Superstar that needs it, Charlotte is already established in WWE. I’m having a very hard time wrapping my head around the decision WWE just made here. The streak hadn’t been built up enough on the main roster and this  felt like a total waste.

Rusev kicked him to the floor, but turned around into a Khallas from Mahal. Jinder then pinned Rusev to capture the United States Championship.

Opinion: I couldn’t have imagined a worse outcome for this match than what happened. Absolutely terrible. Jinder Mahal pinned Rusev to win the title. Rusev made his way into this match because the fans were behind him, only to take the pin for one of the most boring Superstars I’ve ever seen. If only Jinder Mahal were remotely entertaining, WWE would be on to something with here. He doesn’t have heel heat, he has “just go away” heat. The only hope I have is that this title run is incredibly short.

Opinion: Ronda Rousey absolutely killed it in her in-ring debut. She knocked it out of the park. Everyone in this match did well and it was very entertaining. This match was very well put together and the crowd went bananas for it. After the previous two matches, this match needed to be good and it damn sure delivered. If anyone has questioned if Rousey can be in a star in WWE, they got their answer tonight. Yes.

The Bludgeon Brothers Won The SmackDown Tag Titles

The Usos defended their SmackDown Tag Team Championships against New Day and The Bludgeon Brothers. Harper and Rowan Dropkicked Jimmy Uso into the steel steps to start off the match. They then took out Big E and turned their attention towards Xavier Woods. Xavier wasn’t even competing int he match, but Harper and Rowan didn’t care. https://twitter.com/totaldivaseps/status/983150464026935296

Opinion: This match was predictable, but I’m fine with it. Harper and Rowan deserved to look dominant and should now have a long run with the SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

John Cena sprinted backstage after the Asuka and Charlotte match earlier in the night when a referee told him in the crowd that The Undertaker was here.

Cena ran down to the ring and the lights in the Superdome went out. Elias showed up with his guitar and the crowd booed him out of the building. Elias told everyone to silence their cellphones and shut up.

Elias started strumming his guitar and asked the crowd if they were expecting somebody else with a smile on his face. Elias claimed that “that somebody else doesn’t have the charisma and unlimited talent that I carry in my soul”. The crowd started chanting “you suck!” at Elias. Elias got into the ring with Cena and told him that he will take it from here. John got out of the ring and got back in the crowd.

Elias started performing a song in the ring and the crowd started booing him again. John got back into the ring and beatdown Elias. Cena connected with the Five Knuckle Shuffle and followed it up with an Attitude Adjustment. Cena booted Elias’ guitar out of the ring as the crowd chanted “Undertaker!”. Cena’s music hit as John looked disappointed in the ring.

John made his way up the entrance ramp, but his music stopped as he was halfway up. The Undertaker raised his fist on the top of the ramp and then walked backstage.

    https://twitter.com/totaldivaseps/status/983156897439240192

Opinion: I got goosebumps during when The Undertaker made his way to the ring. I knew it was coming, but I still couldn’t help it. The main thing to takeaway here is that The Undertaker looked much better than he did last year. I’m guessing that this match will happen again, maybe even at next year’s WrestleMania. There sure was a hell of a lot of buildup for what essentially was a squash match. I understand that some may be disappointed by this match. Personally, I am not simply because of how mobile The Undertaker looked. He can still go and I’m looking forward to seeing him in the ring once again.

Alexa Bliss defended her RAW Women’s Championship against Nia Jax tonight at WrestleMania 34. Bliss descended from a pedestal and was then accompanied by Mickie James down to the ring. Nia Jax walked down to the ring and stared at Alexa Bliss as JoJo made their introductions.

Nia attacked Mickie James before the match started and bashed her into the barricade with incredible force. Bliss got out of the ring and tried to attack Nia from behind. Jax shrugged it off and then planted Mickie with a Samoan Drop to the floor outside the ring. Nia then marched into the ring as Alexa Bliss had a frightened look on her face.

Bliss screamed and tried to run away, but Nia caught her and starting slinging her around the ring. Nia lifted Alexa above her head and threw her to the canvas. Bliss rolled out of the ring and grabbed her title. Jax got out of the ring and leveled her with a Clothesline.

Bliss thumbed Nia in the eye as the referee was distracted. Alexa connected with a few kicks in the corner. Jax missed with a boot and got stuck in the ropes. Bliss stomped on Nia’s knee and Jax collapsed to the canvas. Bliss stomped on Nia’s back and then bounced her head off the mat a few times. Nia battled back and dropped Bliss back-first to the mat. Nia charged at Bliss in the corner, missed and crashed into the ring post. Alexa climbed to the top rope and connected with a Twisted Bliss onto Jax outside the ring.

The action returned to the ring and Bliss hit a Dropkick that sent Nia face-first into the turnbuckle. Bliss followed it up with a DDT for a two count. Alexa threw a tantrum and shouted that the referee was counting fast enough. Bliss slapped Nia in the face and shouted that she was nothing like her. Nia got pissed off and told her to shut the hell up. Nia hit a Body Slam and then threw Alexa to the corner. Jax decked Bliss with a Clothesline.

Bliss battled back with a punch and leaped onto her off the second rope. Jax caught her and slammed her into the turnbuckle. Bliss once again poked Jax in the eye and charged at her. Nia lifted her up and slammed her down to the mat. Nia shouted “I loved you” and lifted Bliss onto her shoulders. Jax climbed the turnbuckle with Bliss on her shoulders and planted her with a Samoan Drop off the second rope for the pinfall victory. Nia Jax is the new RAW Women’s Champion.

Opinion: The match itself was decent at best, but Nia Jax finally got her moment on the main roster. It is about time for Nia, as she has been wasted on RAW for a long time now. I’m looking forward to Nia’s title reign and hopefully WWE books her as the dominant Superstar she should be from now on.

AJ Styles Retained & Nakamura Turned Heel

AJ Styles defended his WWE Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura tonight at WrestleMania 34. There was a live performance on Nakamura’s entrance music.

The dream match started with AJ and Shinsuke locking up. They broke the hold and circled each other in the ring. AJ drove Shinsuke to the corner and Nakamura shoved him away. Styles brought Shinsuke to the mat, but Nakamura connected with a kick and drove AJ to the topes. Nakamura taunted AJ and Styles responded with a slap to the face. Nakamura connected with a kick to the face for a one count.

Styles floored Nakamura with a knee to the face and then brought Shinsuke to the corner. Styles planted Nakamura with a snap Suplex for a one count. AJ connected with a Neckbreaker and both Superstars fell to the canvas. Styles got back up and delivered a few kicks to Shinsuke’s back.

AJ slowed things down and applied a Headlock in the center of the ring. Shinsuke battled to his feet, but was sent back to the mat with a Dropkick from Styles. Nakamura rolled out of the ring and Styles went for a kick from the apron. Shinsuke booted him in the leg and AJ fell face-first to the mat.

The action returned to the ring and Nakamura connected with a boot to the side of the head. Nakamura leaped off the second rope and connected with a kick to the face. Shinsuke hit a Splash in the corner and then draped AJ across the top turnbuckle. Nakamura hit a knee to the ribs and went for the cover but AJ kicked out at two.

Nakamura slammed Styles face-first to the mat and then Styles immediately responded by slamming Shinsuke face-first to the canvas. Both Superstars slowly made their way back to their feet in opposite corners of the ring. Styles connected with a forearm to the face for a two count.

Styles connected with a Pump Handle Slam into a Gutbuster for another two count. AJ went for the Styles Clash, but Nakamura blocked it. AJ went for the Phenomenal Forearm but Shinsuke caught him and connected with a Landslide for a two count.

Nakamura brought AJ to the top turnbuckle and went for a Superplex. Styles held on and slid under Nakamura and back to the mat. Nakamura escaped a Powerbomb, but Styles responded by booting him in the knee and Shinsuke collapsed to the canvas. Nakamura lifted AJ up but his leg gave out and AJ locked in the Calf Crusher in the middle of the ring.

Nakamura countered into a Triangle in the middle of the ring. AJ started to fade but lifted Nakamura up and slammed Shinsuke to the mat to break the hold. Styles tried to lift Nakamura again, but his back gave out and he limped to the corner. Shinsuke got back up and booted AJ in the face.

Shinsuke put AJ across the top rope and went for the knee again but Styles got out of the way. Nakamura slammed his knee into the top turnbuckle and turned around into a Phenomenal Forearm from Styles. AJ went for the cover, but Shinsuke Nakamura kicked out at the last second and the match continued.

Styles went for the springboard 450 Splash but Nakamura got his knees up. Shinsuke went for the cover but AJ kicked out at two. Both Superstars got back to their feet and traded forearms to the face. Styles hit a Pele Kick, but Nakamura hit a knee to the back of AJ’s head for another two count.

Nakamura patted AJ on the head and connected with a reverse Exploder Suplex. Shinsuke geared up in the corner and went for the Kinshasa. Styles ducked and countered with the Styles Clash for the pinfall victory. AJ Styles is still the WWE Champion. After the match, Nakamura got down on a knee and presented AJ with the WWE Championship. Nakamura then hit AJ with a low-blow and Styles fell to the floor. Nakmura then booted AJ in the face several times on the apron and then kicked him to the floor. Shinsuke then hit Styles with the Kinshasa outside the ring and walked up the entrance ramp.

Opinion: This match was a bit of a letdown, but the ending saved it. The crowd absolutely sucked during this match for some reason and brought nothing at all to the table. This feud clearly isn’t over after Shinsuke’s actions tonight. That is a good thing because these two are capable of having a much better match than the one we saw tonight. It was certainly a fine match, but my expectations were through the roof and this didn’t come close to living up to them.

However, I’m looking forward to seeing Nakamura as heel. The crowd booed him out of the building as he walked up the entrance ramp and that was a great sign. The match tonight wasn’t what everyone thought it would be, but the ending gave me hope that we will see a better one in the future. I also hated where this match was placed on the card. It should have been the main event and had much more time.

Braun Strowman & Nicholas Are The RAW Tag Team Champions

Sheamus and Cesaro defended their RAW Tag Team Championships against Braun Strowman and a mystery partner. Sheamus and Cesaro came down to the ramp on a Margi Gras card. Strowman promptly destroyed the cart and came down to the ring. Strowman said that his partner is someone from the crowd and asked who wanted to be his partner.

Braun walked through the crowd and selected a child. Strowman brought a kid down to the ring as Sheamus and Cesaro looked confused. Strowman stood on the middle of the rope and shouted for the kid to get in the ring. The kid said his name was Nicholas and Strowman shouted for the crowd to give it up for Nicholas. Strowman told the kid to stand on the apron and watch him battle The Bar.

Braun beatdown Cesaro and slammed him to the mat. Strowman went for the cover, but Sheamus broke it up. Strowman chased Sheamus around and Cesaro caught him with a Dropkick. The Bar Suplexed Strowman to the mat and Sheamus followed it up with a knee off the top rope. Cesaro jumped of Sheamus’ shoulders onto Strowman for a two count.

Strowman planted The Bar with a Crossbody and then got back up. Braun knocked Sheamus out of the ring and then tagged in Nicholas and the crowd erupted. Nicholas quickly tagged Braun back in and Braun planted him with a Powerslam for the pinfall victory.

Opinion: My apologies to Nicholas, but this was an embarrassment. I didn’t find it cute at all. I found it pathetic that this is what the RAW tag division has come to. Sheamus and Cesaro just lost to Strowman and a child at WrestleMania. How the hell are they supposed to recover from that? It made a mockery of the entire division and wasted everyone’s time for weeks wondering who Braun’s partner was. Both Cesaro and Sheamus deserved better and wrestling fans who spent thousands to attend this event deserved a better title match than this garbage.

Brock Lesnar Retained The Universal Championship

Brock Lesnar defended his Universal Championship against Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 34. Reigns got his typical negative reaction and Brock’s pyro returned for his WrestleMania entrance. Heyman took the microphone from JoJo to introduce Lesnar.

Lesnar started off the match in control and drove Reigns to the corner. Roman battled back with a couple of punches. Lesnar hit a three German Suplexes in a row. Reigns hit two Superman Punches in a row and Lesnar rolled out of the ring. Reigns followed him and connected with a Superman Punch off the steel steps.

Reigns rolled Lesnar back into the ring only to Clothesline him right back out of the ring. Roman went for another Superman Punch, but Lesnar caught him and planted him with a Belly to Belly Suplex. Brock connected with another Belly to Belly Suplex as the crowd chanted “CM Punk!”.

Brock slammed Reigns face-first off the table and brought him back to the ring. Lesnar with another German Suplex and then paced around the ring. Lesnar hit a fifth German Suplex and then another Belly to Belly Suplex. Brock bounced around in the ring as the crowd booed.

Lesnar hit another Belly to Belly Suplex and Roman fell out of the ring. Lesnar cleared off an announce table and made his way back to Reigns. Brock dragged Reigns by the hair and threw him into the barricade. Roman responded by slamming Lesnar into the ring post. Reigns lifted Lesnar up and threw him over the announce table.

The action returned to the ring as the crowd booed and chanted “delete!”. Roman hit another Superman Punch and followed it up with a Spear. Reigns hit a second Spear and Brock kicked out at two. The crowd made no noise at all when Lesnar kicked out.

Roman went for a third Spear, but Lesnar was ready and caught him with a knee to the face for a two count. Lesnar followed it up with an F5 and went for the cover but Reigns kicked out. The crowd didn’t react at all as Lesnar hit a second F5. Brock went for the cover again but Reigns kicked out at two. Brock hit a third F5 and Reigns kicked out once again.

Lesnar threw Reigns out of the ring as the crowd chanted “boring!”. Brock connected with a fourth F5 through the announce table. Brock brought Reigns back into the ring for another German Suplex. Lesnar hit a fifth F5 and Reigns kicked out once again.

Brock took off his gloves to expose his knuckles. The crowd chanted “this is awful!” as Lesnar punched Reigns in the face. Roman’s head was busted open and Reigns started to bleed everywhere. Reigns connected with two Spears out of nowhere but Lesnar kicked out at two. Reigns sprinted off the ropes for another Spear, but Lesnar caught him with another F5 for the pinfall victory. The crowd cheered after Lesnar retained the Universal Championship.

Reigns was shown walking up the entrance ramp as his entrance music played. Reigns looked back at the crowd and stumbled backstage as WrestleMania 34 went off the air.

Opinion: The ending of this match was certainly a surprise and stopped the crowd from crapping all over the main event. Time will tell what this means for Roman Reigns. Everyone thought that he was guaranteed to win this match. He kicked out five F5s, but ultimately the sixth one kept him down. I’m not excited at all that Brock Lesnar is still the Universal Champion either. This was a main event that the crowd totally rejected and never really had a chance.

Overall, I thought WrestleMania 34 was a massive disappointment. There were some great moments, but many of the matches didn’t live up to the hype. This was one of the most stacked WrestleMania cards ever and it just didn’t come through. When the best match of the night includes Stephanie McMahon, you know the show was a letdown. On the bright side, the RAW after WrestleMania is always entertaining.

Who Will Win The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal?

The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal has had some memorable moments at WrestleMania. New England Patriots Tight End Rob Gronkowski interfered in last year’s Battle Royal to help Mojo Rawley eliminate Jinder Mahal to win the match. The moment most people remember from previous Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royals happened at the very first one at WrestleMania 30. Cesaro showed off his incredible strength and lifted Big Show over the top rope for the victory.

Dolph Ziggler, Baron Corbin, Tyler Breeze, Fandango, Mojo Rawley, Dash Wilder, Scott Dawson, Goldust, Heath Slater, Rhyno, “Woken” Matt Hardy, Zack Ryder and Primo Colon have all been confirmed for the Battle Royal. WWE usually has some surprises up their sleeve and there will surely be an entrant or two that you weren’t expecting.

Baron Corbin and Mojo Rawley have already won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and are looking to do so for a second time. The winner may wind up being a Superstar flying completely under the radar and will surprise everyone with their own WrestleMania moment this Sunday.

Two Friends Will Battle For The Vacant Cruiserweight Championship

Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali will battle for the vacant Cruiserweight Championship at WrestleMania 34. Alexander and Ali are friends, but both went all out in their match against each other on the January 23rd edition of 205 Live.

Newly appointed 205 Live GM Drake Maverick announced a week later that there will be a tournament to crown a new Cruiserweight Champion at WrestleMania 34.

Alexander defeated Gran Metalik, TJP and Roderick Strong to earn his way to this match. Ali defeated Jack Gallagher, Buddy Murphy and Drew Gulak. The finals will go down this Sunday, and Ali will look to avenge his loss to Alexander and capture the Cruiserweight Championship. Alexander will once again try to prove that he is the better Superstar at the biggest show of the year.

Bayley & Sasha Banks Will Meet In The Women’s Battle Royal

Sasha Banks and Bayley were best friends up until the first-ever women’s Elimination Chamber match. Bayley was climbing up one of the pods and Sasha Banks booted her to the steel floor surrounding the ring. The camera caught Sasha Banks with a grin on her face as she betrayed her best friend and it was an image that Bayley couldn’t get out of her head. Bayley refused Banks’ attempt to tag her during a match on the March 12th edition of RAW, which led to Sasha confronting Bayley the following week.

Things got worse on the March 26th episode of RAW between Banks and Bayley. Banks stated that she was sick of Bayley’s passive-aggressive nonsense. Bayley said that she thought Banks liked that she was passive and always put her first. Sasha had zero interest in apologizing for doing whatever it takes to get ahead and added that Bayley should do the same so that everyone doesn’t think she is a loser. A brawl eventually broke out between the two Superstars backstage.

On this past Monday’s episode of RAW, Bayley defeated Sonya Deville as Mandy Rose and Paige were ringside. After the match, Mandy Rose and Deville attacked Bayley from behind. Sasha Banks came down to the ring for the save and then demanded that Bayley raise her hand for helping her. Banks and Bayley started fighting again and Absolution capitalized. Rose and Deville beatdown Bayley and Banks as Paige cheered them on.

Bayley and Sasha Banks will both compete in the women’s Battle Royal this Sunday at WrestleMania 34. Natalya, Lana, Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan, Liv Morgan, Becky Lynch, Naomi, Mickie James, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville and Carmella have also been confirmed for the women’s Battle Royal.

Who Is Braun Strowman’s Tag Team Partner?

Sheamus and Cesaro have dominated the RAW tag team division as of late. They got a bit full of themselves and proclaimed that they had no competition on RAW anymore because they had run through everyone. On the March 12th edition of WWE RAW, Sheamus & Cesaro were set to battle The Miztourage. The RAW tag division decided to come down to the ring before the match and beat the hell out of Sheamus and Cesaro.

RAW GM Kurt Angle announced that there would be a Tag Team Battle Royal to determine who will face The Bar next. Braun Strowman wound up coming down to the ring and eliminated everyone else with ease. The  problem with Braun winning was that Strowman didn’t have a tag partner and wanted to face The Bar by himself.

Strowman battled Cesaro on the March 19th episode of RAW and then faced Sheamus the following week. On this past Monday’s episode of RAW, The Bar came down to the ring and called out Strowman. Braun offered them a deal, he would go get his tag partner if either of them agreed to face him in a match. The Bar accepted the offer and Braun Strowman went backstage. Strowman’s music hit again and he came down to the ring as “Brains Strowman”. Braun beat up Sheamus and Cesaro for a bit and then posed in the ring. Braun’s mystery tag partner will finally be revealed this Sunday at WrestleMania 34, when they battle Sheamus & Cesaro for the RAW Tag Team Championships.

Will April 8th Be Known As Rusev Day?

Bobby Roode and Jinder Mahal were in a rivalry over SmackDown’s Top 10 list. The list was supposed to reveal a weekly ranking of SmackDown Superstars as voted on by their peers. Mahal tried to get under Roode’s skin by poking fun at his ranking on the list and claimed that other Superstars didn’t respect him. Jinder then claimed to have stumbled upon Bobby Roode’s own top 10 list on the February 20th edition of SmackDown, in which he ranked himself first and didn’t have Orton in the top 10.

During this time, Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan were still not on the same page. Shane McMahon announced later during the same show that Bobby Roode will defend his United States Championship against Randy Orton at WWE Fastlane. Daniel Bryan thought that Jinder Mahal also deserved an opportunity at the title, but Shane McMahon shot that idea down.

WWE Fastlane 2018 aired on March 11th. Randy Orton picked up the victory over Bobby Roode to capture the United States Championship for the first time in his career. Orton also became a Grand Slam Champion by winning the US Title.

Bobby Roode battled Jinder Mahal two nights later on the March 13th edition of WWE SmackDown. Jinder Mahal picked up the victory over Roode, making his case even stronger that he deserves a shot at the United States Championship. Bobby Roode still had his rematch clause, thus it was announced that Orton would defend his United States Championship against Jinder Mahal and Bobby Roode in a Triple Threat match at WrestleMania 34.

On the March 27th episode of WWE SmackDown, Jinder Mahal teamed up with Rusev to battle Randy Orton and Bobby Roode in a tag match. Rusev wound up pinning the United States Champion to earn the victory. Following the match, Jinder Mahal thanked Rusev backstage and stated that he could bring a guest to attend his Punjabi celebration after he wins the United States Championship at WrestleMania 34. Rusev wasn’t too fond of that idea and said that he was going to speak to SmackDown GM Daniel Bryan. Rusev felt that since he just pinned the United States Champion, he deserved to be added to the United States Championship match at WrestleMania 34.

It was announced later during the night that Rusev’s wish was granted and the US Title match at WrestleMania 34 was now a Fatal 4-Way. On this past Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown, Rusev defeated Mahal by connecting with a Machka Kick as Bobby Roode was on commentary for the match. US Champion Randy Orton rushed the ring after the match and planted Rusev with an RKO out of nowhere. Orton followed it up with an RKO to Aiden English as Bobby Roode got in the ring. In a sign of respect, Roode handed Orton his United States Championship and walked away.

Nia Jax Will Attempt To Squash Alexa Bliss Like A Bug

Once upon a time, Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax were best friends. Bliss preyed on Nia’s insecurities about herself and manipulated her. Nia Jax lost to Asuka on the March 5th edition of WWE RAW. Jax was upset with herself and Bliss took this opportunity to insult Nia under the guise of a motivational speech.

Things got much worse on the March 12th episode of RAW. Nia Jax demolished a jobber as Mickie James and Alexa Bliss were shown backstage getting ready for a backstage interview. Bliss and Mickie were unaware that the cameras were rolling and proceeded to poke fun at Nia’s weight. Bliss stated that Nia was pathetic and admitted to manipulating Nia. Jax heard every single word from inside the ring and stormed backstage to take out her anger on Bliss and James. Mickie and Alexa were informed that the cameras were rolling and the two escaped just before Jax arrived. Nia tore apart the locker room out of frustration.

The following week, RAW GM Kurt Angle informed Alexa Bliss that she will be defending her RAW Women’s Championship against Nia Jax at WrestleMania 34.

On the March 26th episode of RAW, Nia Jax battled Mickie James while RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss was ringside. Jax picked up the victory, but was attacked from behind by Bliss. Alexa’s attempt at an attack didn’t phase Nia at all and Alexa scampered up the entrance ramp. Nia turned her attention back to Mickie James and planted her with a Samoan Drop.

On this past Monday’s edition of WWE RAW, Nia Jax sat down with Renee Young for an exclusive interview. Nia admitted that Alexa’s words hurt her, but then vowed to squash Alexa Bliss like a bug at WrestleMania 34.

Later on the show, Asuka & Dana Brooke teamed up to face Alexa Bliss & Mickie James. Asuka maintained her undefeated streak by submitting Mickie James via the Asuka Lock. After the match, Bliss and James attacked Asuka and Dana Brooke. Nia Jax came down to the ring and tried to get a hold of Alexa Bliss. Alexa made it to the ring apron before Nia caught her by her hair. Mickie James attacked Nia from behind and once again Alexa Bliss escaped. Nia slammed Mickie to the mat with a Samoan Drop and then stared at Bliss while she was retreating up the entrance ramp.

Can Seth Rollins Or Finn Balor Finally Capture The IC Title From The Miz?

Back on the February 26th episode of WWE RAW, The Miz demanded to know his opponent for WrestleMania 34. The Miz boasted about being close to becoming the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion of all-time and took it as disrespectful that RAW GM Kurt Angle hadn’t notified him who will be challenging for the Intercontinental Championship. The Miz didn’t get the response he was looking for, as Kurt Angle placed him in a match against Seth Rollins. Angle noted that the match might sway his decision as to who The Miz will face at the biggest show of the year. After Rollins defeated The Miz, Finn Balor came down to the ring and defeated The Miz in a match as well.

The following week on RAW, The Miz hosted the The Mizzies and poked fun at both Balor and Rollins. Balor and Rollins then battled The Miz & The Miztourage in a Handicap match. Balor had The Miz set up for the Coup de Grace, but Rollins tagged himself in and delivered a Curb Stromp to The Miz for the victory. Immediately after the match, RAW GM Kurt Angle came out and announced that The Miz will defend the Intercontinental Championship against Rollins and Balor in a Triple Threat match at WrestleMania 34.

During an edition of Miz TV on the March 26th episode of RAW, The Miz attempted to trick Rollins and Balor by getting in an argument with The Miztourage. The plan worked for a moment, as Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas attacked Rollins and Balor from behind. Gallows and Anderson sprinted to the ring and battled The Miztourage all the way backstage. This left The Miz alone with Balor and Rollins in the ring. Balor planted The Miz with a Slingblade and the Intercontinental Champion rolled out of the ring. Finn then decked Rollins with a forearm to the face and posed with the IC Title in the ring.

On this past Monday’s episode of RAW, Finn Balor faced off against Seth Rollins as The Miz was on commentary for the match. The Miz displayed a new attitude and claimed that he was a changed man after the recent birth of his daughter. Rollins picked up the victory over Balor in an excellent match.

Kurt Angle & Ronda Rousey Will Fight The Authority

Ronda Rousey made her WWE debut following the first-ever women’s Royal Rumble match. Rousey got into the ring with Charlotte, Asuka and Alexa Bliss and pointed at the WrestleMania sign hanging above the ring. Rousey then approached Stephanie McMahon at the announce table and shook her hand.

At WWE Elimination Chamber, things got heated as RAW GM Kurt Angle revealed that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon only signed Rousey so that they could manipulate her. Angle claimed that they referred to Rousey as a “has-been” and wanted to get revenge for Rousey embarrassing them at WrestleMania 31. Triple H and Stephanie tried to play it off that Angle was suffering from an illness and had no idea what he was talking about. Rousey didn’t buy it and wound up slamming Triple H through a table.

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon tried to smooth things over the following night on RAW. Rousey demanded an apology from Stephanie McMahon and Stephanie obliged. Triple H then cracked Kurt Angle with a punch to the face out of nowhere and exited the ring with Stephanie McMahon.

Things escalated even further on the following week’s episode of RAW. Stephanie McMahon revealed her true colors and reminded Rousey that she was her boss. Rousey brought up the fact that she gets to choose her opponent for WrestleMania and chose RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon. Triple H and Stephanie claimed that Rousey didn’t have the power to make that match, but RAW GM Kurt Angle chimed in and stated that Triple H and Stephanie also have contracts as WWE Superstars. Angle wanted revenge on Triple H and the tag match was made official for WrestleMania 34.

Stephanie McMahon and Triple H got some revenge of their own on this past Monday’s edition of WWE RAW. Jonathan Coachman hosted a Q&A will the four competitors and things quickly fell off the rails. Coach asked everyone to take a “classy and respectful” photo before the match, but naturally a brawl broke out. Stephanie wound up slamming Ronda Rousey through a table just six days before WrestleMania 34.

Can The Usos Or New Day Stop The Bludgeon Brothers?

The Usos defended their SmackDown Tag Team Championships against New Day at WWE Fastlane 2018. Their match was quickly interrupted by The Bludgeon Brothers. Harper and Rowan attacked both teams and then brought their mallets into the ring. Both The Usos and New Day were able to escape, but they would be nursing their injuries from the attack for weeks to come.

The Bludgeon Brothers attempted to systematically take out New Day and The Usos on episodes of SmackDown following WWE Fastlane. It was eventually announced that The Usos will defend their titles in a Triple Threat match against New Day and The Bludgeon Brothers at WrestleMania 34. The Usos have not been featured on the main card at WrestleMania up until this Sunday. They will somehow have to survive The Bludgeon Brothers and overcome the New Day once again at WrestleMania 34.

Will Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn Ruin Daniel Bryan’s Return To The Ring?

Shane McMahon and Kevin Owens were already having their issues, but their rivalry reached a new level when Kevin Owens brutally attacked Vince McMahon on the September 12, 2017 episode of WWE SmackDown. Owens left Shane’s father bloodied and beaten down in the middle of the ring.

The following month, Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon were surrounded by steel at WWE Hell in a Cell 2017. Shane McMahon wanted to avenge his father and take Kevin Owens out for good. Shane set up Owens on the announce table and then scaled the 20 foot cage. Shane went for an Elbow Drop off the structure, but Owens’ longtime friend/enemy Sami Zayn dragged Kevin off the table.

Shane crashed through the announce table and Sami Zayn placed Owens’ hand over him to earn him the pinfall victory. Sami Zayn explained his actions the next night on SmackDown. Zayn was bitter about being passed by over and over again in WWE as Kevin Owens captured championships. He wanted to join Owens and take over SmackDown on Tuesday nights.

Shane McMahon simply could not get over what went down at Hell in a Cell and how he had been robbed of getting his revenge on Kevin Owens. Shane let his emotions get the better of him time and time again on SmackDown, he made it his mission to make Zayn and Owens’ life a living hell.

SmackDown GM Daniel Bryan called Shane McMahon out on his actions and then their relationship started to unravel. Shane thought Bryan was in Sami and Kevin’s corner because he was living vicariously through them. Bryan claimed that Shane McMahon was turning into his father, using his power in the company to dictate who receives opportunities on SmackDown.

AJ Styles defended his WWE Championship in a Six-Pack Challenge at WWE Fastlane against John Cena, Sami Zayn, Baron Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. At this point, even Owens and Zayn were not on the same page. Shane McMahon decided to sit ringside for the match and was inadvertently Superkicked by Kevin Owens. Shane once again let his emotions get the better of him and cost both Kevin Owens and Zayn the WWE Championship.

On the March 13th episode of SmackDown, Shane McMahon announced that Kevin Owens will face Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 34. Shane admitted that he had crossed the line at Fastlane and said that he was taking an indefinite leave of absence as SmackDown Commissioner. Owens and Zayn showed up and brutally attacked Shane McMahon.

WWE announced that Daniel Bryan was medically cleared to return to the ring on March 20th. Bryan came down to the ring and gave a passionate speech about getting to do what he loved again. Daniel added that he will address Owens and Zayn tonight about their attack on Shane McMahon.

At the conclusion of the March 20th episode of SmackDown, Daniel Bryan asked Owens and Zayn to come down to the ring. Bryan admitted that Shane was right about living vicariously through them, but noted that he did not understand why the felt the need to attack Shane after he said he was leaving. Daniel was left with no choice but to fire both Owens and Zayn. Sami and Kevin shook Daniel’s hand and went to exit the ring. Owens changed his mind and attacked Bryan. Daniel fought them off for a moment, but the numbers game caught up to him and Owens Powerbombed Bryan on the ring apron.

The following week on SmackDown, Daniel Bryan issued a challenge to Owens and Zayn. He proposed a tag match, Owens and Zayn versus Bryan and Shane McMahon. If Owens and Zayn win, they will be rehired on WWE SmackDown. If they lose, they will be gone from SmackDown forever. On this past Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown, Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan settled their differences and hugged it out. Later on the show, Zayn and Owens invaded through the crowd and vowed to obliterate Bryan and Shane at WrestleMania 34.

Daniel and Shane came down to the entrance ramp and instructed everyone in the crowd to point their cellphones at Owens & Zayn because this is the last time they will be on SmackDown. Bryan and Shane then sang goodbye to Zayn and Owens as they marched up the arena steps.

    Is Charlotte Ready For Asuka?

Asuka won the first-ever women’s Royal Rumble match back in January. Asuka debuted as a RAW Superstar, so it was just assumed that she would face Alexa Bliss for the RAW Women’s Championship. That didn’t turn out to be the case, Asuka confronted Charlotte after she successfully defended the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Ruby Riott at WWE Fastlane 2018.

Asuka appeared on SmackDown once again on the March 13th episode to confront Charlotte. She stated that she chose Charlotte because she wanted to beat the best at WrestleMania 34. Charlotte remained confident and claimed that she was ready for Asuka.

On this past Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown, Charlotte defeated Natalya via the Figure Eight. Carmella came down to the ring to cash in her MITB contract but Charlotte booted the briefcase away. Asuka once again confronted Charlotte and stated that The Queen will bow down to the Empress of Tomorrow. Charlotte stated that The Queen bows down to no one and once again said that she was ready for Asuka. After SmackDown, The Miz and Asuka defeated Bobby Roode and Charlotte to win the Mixed Match Challenge tournament. Asuka will enter WrestleMania 34 undefeated and will look to capture the SmackDown Women’s Championship from Charlotte Flair.

Will The Undertaker Accept John Cena’s Challenge?

John Cena has spent the past few months desperately trying to earn a spot at WrestleMania 34. He has come up short every time and was down to his final option, challenge The Undertaker to a match.

John Cena continued to demand that The Undertaker answer his challenge on the March 19th episode of RAW. Instead of The Undertaker showing up, his brother Kane marched down to the ring and planted him with a Chokeslam.

Cena then battled Kane on the March 26th episode of RAW and defeated him. Following the match, Cena couldn’t believe that The Undertaker didn’t show up to answer the challenge. John called The Undertaker a coward for not showing up for the fans that have been chanting his name the whole time. Cena pleaded with The Undertaker to do something and warned him that he only had one week left to answer the challenge.

On this past Monday’s episode of RAW, Cena attempted to call out The Undertaker one final time. The Atlanta crowd chanted as loud as they could to try and summon The Undertaker but it did not work. Cena said that he will be attending WrestleMania 34 as a fan and once again insulted The Undertaker for turning his back on the fans. The Undertaker will most likely show up in New Orleans this Sunday and confront John Cena at WrestleMania 34.

AJ Styles Will Battle Shinsuke Nakamura In A Dream Match

Shinsuke Nakamura won the men’s Royal Rumble match in January and immediately announced that he wants to face AJ Styles for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 34. AJ Styles successfully defended his WWE Championship in a Six-Pack Challenge at WWE Fastlane 2018 to ensure that the dream match will happen.

Shinsuke Nakamura has spent the past few weeks trying to play mind games with AJ Styles on SmackDown. Shinsuke Nakamura saved AJ Styles from an attack from Rusev and Aiden English on the March 13th episode of SmackDown. AJ Styles thanked Nakamura backstage, but Shinsuke stated that he was going to take his WWE Championship with a knee to the face at WrestleMania 34.

Nakamura continued his mind games in the following weeks and even faked that he was going to hit AJ with a Kinshasa. Nakamura pulled up short and patted Styles on the head. AJ Styles teamed up with Shinsuke Nakamura in the main event of this week’s episode of SmackDown to face Gable and Benjamin.

AJ Styles hopped on the ring apron right next to Nakamura and delivered a Phenomenal Forearm to Chad Gable for the victory. After the match, Gable and Benjamin attacked Shinsuke Nakamura as AJ Styles was on the entrance ramp. Styles looked on for a moment before deciding to help Nakamura out. Styles then played mind games with Nakamura and made it seem like he was going to hit him with the Phenomenal Forearm. Instead, Styles pulled up short and patted Nakamura on the head.

Can Roman Reigns Survive The F5?

Roman Reigns won the men’s Elimination Chamber match to earn a shot at the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 34. Brock Lesnar was supposed to be at the February 26th edition of WWE RAW but ultimately did not show up. Roman Reigns took offense to that and stated that everyone in the back was sick of Lesnar disrespecting the fans and the business. Reigns added that he does not respect Brock Lesnar and he damn sure does not fear that b****.

Brock Lesnar failed to show up once again on the March 12th edition of WWE RAW. Reigns accused Lesnar of being Vince’s boy and stormed backstage to confront Vince McMahon. Vince escorted Reigns to his office and later announced that Reigns had been indefinitely suspended.

The following week on RAW, Universal Champion Brock Lesnar finally showed up. Roman Reigns violated his suspension and entered the ring while RAW GM Kurt Angle was speaking. Reigns was in the process of being taken into custody but Lesnar decided to brutally attack him. Roman was loaded onto a stretcher but The Beast wasn’t done. Lesnar came back down to the ring and attacked Reigns some more before finally leaving.

Roman Reigns’ suspension was lifted before the March 26th episode of WWE RAW. Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar came down to the ring and claimed that Roman Reigns didn’t show up. The Big Dog made his way through the crowd and confronted Lesnar in the ring. Reigns was still injured due to the attack from Brock and Lesnar took advantage. Reigns was able to get in some shots with a steel chair, but Lesnar overpowered him and beat him down with the steel steps in the ring. Brock put an exclamation point on the attack by connecting with an F5 to Reigns on top of the steps.

On this past Monday’s episode of WWE RAW, Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman once again came down to the ring to close the show. RAW GM Kurt Angle had spent the entire night pleading with Lesnar and Reigns to not fight tonight and to save it for the WrestleMania 34 main event. Heyman claimed that he would keep things civil, but quickly started insulting Reigns during his promo.

Roman tried to get to Lesnar in the ring, but Kurt Angle had instructed several WWE Superstars to prevent him from doing so on the entrance ramp. Reigns convinced the Superstars to let him through because they know that Brock Lesnar doesn’t respect them. Reigns got into the ring with Brock and the Universal Champion immediately retreated to the outside of the ring.

Brock decided to grab a steel chair and join Reigns in the ring. Roman then connected with five Superman Punches in a row and the Universal Champion was down. Lesnar then managed to regroup and planted Roman Reigns with an F5. Lesnar exited the ring as Paul Heyman shouted that the F5 kept Roman Reigns down.

New Photo Of The WrestleMania Stage Being Set Up At Mercedes-Benz Superdome

Construction is underway for the stage and set up for WrestleMania 34.

Fans should expect the WWE to release a ‘set reveal’ video later this week as we’ve seen in recent years. This photo gives a good idea of what to expect this weekend.

WrestleMania 34 is set to be held on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. This event airs on pay-per-view (PPV) and WWE Network. It’s the most successful and longest-running professional wrestling event in history.

  • Paul Heyman: Working with Roman Reigns Would Be ‘Career Defining Moment’

Paul Heyman: Working with Roman Reigns Would Be ‘Career Defining Moment’

Paul Heyman will walk down to the ring alongside Brock Lesnar for the main event at WrestleMania 34 this weekend but if he has his way, he’d love the opportunity to work with his opponent Roman Reigns as well.

It’s no secret that Reigns has remained one of the biggest superstars on the WWE roster and fans generally feel passionately about him — either he’s beloved or he’s despised and there doesn’t seem to be much of a middle ground.

Perhaps one of the biggest shortcomings during Reigns’ WWE career has been his inability to really cut a solid promo, which is a staple for most athletes that transcend from superstar status to icon.

That’s why some have suggested that Reigns teaming up with Heyman would be the best thing for his career as the former ECW owner is typically regarded as the best talker and hype man in professional wrestling today.

If given the chance, Heyman would love to work with Reigns and he believes that the 32-year old veteran performer might already be the biggest commodity on the entire WWE roster if not for his current client who holds the WWE universal championship.

“Three years ago in the buildup to WrestleMania 31 I said straight to Roman Reigns’ face a comment that can be taken as both story line and as reality. Roman Reigns is the right guy, in the right place, at the wrong time,” Heyman told NBC Sports. “In any other time in history, Roman Reigns would be so dominant on top, both in a story line capacity and a box office capacity in WWE. No one would be in his stratosphere. He would absolutely be the Paul Heyman guy for I would be auditioning every single solitary day to define my role as a Roman Reigns guy. We would be sitting here talking about Roman Reigns approaching 1,000 days as the top champion in WWE. There’s no doubt in my mind about this. No one would be in his league.

“But the unfortunate thing for Roman Reigns is that he lives in a time period that is dominated by Brock Lesnar. Brock Lesnar is the only athlete who can go in-between WWE and UFC seamlessly at a top tier, main event level.”

“Working with Roman Reigns would be an absolute career defining moment for me” ~ Paul Heyman

Still given the chance to work together, Heyman believes that he could do great things alongside Reigns while serving as his ‘advocate’ on television.

It’s entirely possible that scenario plays out considering Lesnar is a free agent after WrestleMania 34 and there has been a ton of speculation that he’s considering a return to the UFC rather than signing a new long term deal with WWE.

If Lesnar exits, that could open the door for Heyman to team up with Reigns after WrestleMania 34 is finished.

“Working with Roman Reigns would be an absolute career defining moment for me,” Heyman stated. “I have nothing but the upmost respect and admiration for him as an athlete, a performer, and as a man.”

  • Main Event Of WrestleMania 34 Revealed

Main Event Of WrestleMania 34 Revealed

We now know which match will close the show this weekend at WrestleMania 34.

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon and the rest of the creative team have been planning Roman Reigns challenging Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at the biggest event of the year for the sports entertainment company since 2017.

The idea is to have Reigns go over on Lesnar to make him a top babyface, which is something that the WWE has been attempting to do for many years now despite the backlash from their fans.

Bryan Alvarez reported on Tuesday’s edition of Wrestling Observer Live that as of Monday, the plan is to have Lesnar vs. Reigns serve as the main event.

Keep in mind that historically, WWE doesn’t make the final call on which match will main event the show until the morning of each WrestleMania.

Both Raw and SmackDown rosters will be featured.

  • WrestleMania 34 Predictions

    WrestleMania 34 Predictions

This weekend’s WrestleMania 34 pay-per-view is sure to be one of the top pro wrestling shows of the year. WrestleMania is always a huge deal, but WWE has stacked the deck with this year’s show. The card is strong from top to bottom and there are several special attractions (Daniel Bryan’s return, Ronda Rousey’s debut, Styles vs. Nakamura) that all but guarantee this is a show that will stand out from a historical perspective.

As we march towards Sunday, we gathered some predictions from the SEScoops team, including Robert Lentini, Brad Davis, Jake Jeremy, Fernando Quiles Jr. and Roderick Stedman. Here are our predictions for each match on the card. We encourage you to share your own predictions in the comments thread!

Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal

Robert: WWE likes to bring up NXT talent on special occasions.  Andrade “Cien” Almas and Adam Cole were in the Royal Rumble match this year.  Sullivan will be a force when he arrives on the main roster and maybe the WWE Universe will get a preview of that at WrestleMania 34.

Fernando: There should be some surprises at this year’s Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Celebrities such as Shaquille O’Neal and Rob Gronkowski have made their presence felt at the Battle Royal. I’m getting some WrestleMania 32 vibes with this one and I feel another NXT star will get the win here. My pick is Killian Dain.

Brad: This should be a fun filler match with some surprises, whether it’s NXT or the world of professional sports. I’d love to see a callback to WrestleMania 2 with a few New Orleans Saints NFL players, which you know the crowd would go nuts for. As for a prediction – I say Matt Hardy DELETES the other competitors and gets a WrestleMania Moment in this fifth installment of the Andre battle royal.

Roderick: Elias is a great shout.  However I’m going to throw in a curve ball in the form of Big Cass who returns from injury.

    Consensus: A Superstar From NXT

    Women’s Battle Royal

Robert: Sasha Banks and Bayley haven’t been on the same page since the Elimination Chamber, where Banks betrayed Bayley and shoved her off one of the pods. I think Bayley will get her revenge in New Orleans and win the Women’s Battle Royal at WrestleMania 34.

Ian Carey: After doing something dastardly to Bayley, Sasha Banks.

Brad: There’s something oddly familiar about the shape of that trophy, I just can’t put my finger on it .. Anywho, Sasha Banks and Bayley kind of got the shaft by not getting a singles match on the main card. For that reason, I say one of those two get the win here – I’m going with the Boss.

Fernando: I expect more NXT stars to be a part of the women’s battle royal as well. While Sasha Banks and Bayley may be considered favorites to some, I believe they will cause each other’s eliminations and brawl to the back. It wouldn’t surprise me if a legend returns and wins it, but my pick is Becky Lynch as she needs this win perhaps more than anyone.

Roderick: Compared to the men’s battle royal, the women’s has a much larger pool of talent in the ring.  Naomi, Ruby Riot, Natalya and Becky Lynch are just some of the competitors who could win the historic match.  I’d like to see Bayley return to the reputation she had in NXT.

    Consensus: Bayley

The Usos vs The New Day vs The Bludgeon Brothers

Robert: The Bludgeon Brothers have dominated New Day and The Usos lately and I don’t expect that to change at WrestleMania 34. The Usos will finally make a WrestleMania main card, but will drop their titles to Harper and Rowan.

Ian: I’m thinking The Uso’s win the triple threat tag match for the SmackDown Live tag team titles, but they will get the pin on New Day and not the Bludgeon Brothers.

Brad: This one has the potential to be a sleeper hit. The Usos and The New Day have had some killer matches and the Bro’s bring a level of physicality that changes the dynamic. WWE loves featuring The New Day, for better or for worse, and you could see WWE giving them to win so they can dance and celebrate a win on WWE’s biggest stage.

Fernando: No doubt about it, WWE seems high on this new gimmick for Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. The Usos and New Day have had a great rivalry, but SmackDown’s tag team division needs to spruce things up a bit. I don’t know if the Bludgeon Brothers are the answer, but I do believe they’ll become the new SmackDown tag team champions.

Roderick: Bludgeon Brothers.  Just watch their recent attacks and matches on SmackDown Live.  Harper’s agility and athleticism is remarkable!

    Consensus: The Bludgeon Brothers

    Cedric Alexander vs Mustafa Ali

Robert: Both Alexander and Ali deserve the title at this point. This match is a total toss-up. This is a match that is completely flying under the radar right now. I have no idea where it will wind up on the card, but I just know that it will be a highly entertaining match that will be worth watching.

Ian: I’m taking Cedric Alexander to defeat Mustafa Ali.  Cedric has been so close many times and I feel this is his chance to finally wear the gold… or purple, or whatever.

Fernando: Man, this one is a tossup. Since the direction of 205 Live shifted, Alexander and Ali have been positioned as two of the most promising cruiserweights. I think Ali has gold in his future, but it won’t be at WrestleMania 34. It’s been a long time coming for Alexander and I believe he gets his rewards.

Roderick: Please don’t make me decide.  They’re both worthy.  Let’s go with Mustafa Ali to win so that Cedric Alexander can chase the title to win by SummerSlam.

    Consensus:  Cedric Alexander

    Alexa Bliss vs Nia Jax

Robert: Nia Jax deserves her WrestleMania moment and I think she is going to get it this year by defeating Alexa Bliss for the RAW Women’s Championship. WWE has been stop and go with Nia Jax. One week she looks like a dominant Superstar and then the next she is either losing a match or completely off the show. It is time for Nia Jax to become dominant on RAW every week.

Ian: Nia Jax will defeat Alexa Bliss.  She might even squash her in a short match.

Fernando: WWE has been saving Alexa Bliss’ comeuppance for WrestleMania. Fans have been clamoring for Nia Jax to not only get her hands on Bliss, but to also capture her first title in WWE. I think she’ll do just that.

Brad: WWE has been getting pretty heavy handed with the body shaming of Nia Jax #Blubber. I don’t think she’s ready for a championship push yet – Alexa Bliss is a much more polished act – but WWE would be somewhat tone deaf to not give Nia the last laugh after all they’ve put her through and the empowering “comfortable with herself” message they’ve been pushing. Nia goes over.

Roderick: Alexa Bliss must have been pretty relieved when Asuka chose Charlotte for her WrestleMania opponent.  However with Nia Jax, Bliss should still be extremely concerned.  It is time for Nia Jax to become a dominant Superstar on RAW.

    SEScoops Winner: Nia Jax

The Bar vs Braun Strowman & Unknown Partner

    Braun Strowman
    Braun Strowman (Photo: Instagram @WWE)

Robert: The tag divisions on both RAW and SmackDown need a jolt. Strowman is one of the most popular Superstars on the roster right now, so it will help the division if he becomes a tag champ. Sheamus & Cesaro could use a fresh start on SmackDown after WrestleMania.

Brad: Braun Strowman clearly does not need a partner, but he’s more than ready to wear his first championship gold in WWE. James Ellsworth would be the perfect pick – and they’re money in them as a wacky unlikely duo. Ellsworth will be in town for WrestleMania weekend – but I don’t see WWE bringing him back as a full-time performer this soon. Samoa Joe returns as Strowman’s partner and the two monsters terrorize RAW’s tag team division for months to come.

Fernando: Rumors have been swirling that Rey Mysterio will be Braun Strowman’s tag team partner to challenge Sheamus and Cesaro for their titles. I don’t care if Gillberg teams with Strowman, “The Monster Among Men” is walking out of WrestleMania with gold.

Roderick: Strowman is winning this one… on his own.  No partner, no nothing.

    Consensus: Braun Strowman

Randy Orton vs Bobby Roode vs Jinder Mahal vs Rusev

Robert: The crowd loves Rusev.  He singlehandedly has made this match interesting and is the only Superstar I want to see win this Fatal 4-Way.

Fernando: Rusev may have been added to this United States title match at the last minute, but I think he’ll be celebrating Rusev Day with another U.S. title reign. The momentum Rusev has seems to be too great for even the WWE to ignore.

Brad: Had it not been for the addition of Rusev, this would have been my surefire bathroom/beer break. Jinder Mahal would be a logical choice here – and he was probably better suited for the US Championship than his never-ending WWE title reign, but WWE is not blind to the popularity of Rusev day.

Roderick: No one wants Randy Orton and Jinder Mahal to be in the same ring ever again, and while Bobby Roode has potential, and 2018 will surely be glorious, it’ll be Rusev’s Day without a doubt.

    Consensus: Rusev

The Miz vs Seth Rollins vs Finn Balor

Robert: The Miz has done an admirable job with the Intercontinental Championship, but I think it is time he lets it go for a bit. Seth Rollins should be vying for the WWE Championship or the Universal Championship. I wouldn’t mind seeing Rollins switch brands during WWE’s Superstar Shake-Up following WrestleMania. He belongs in the main event and maybe he will get that chance on SmackDown. Finn Balor would make an awesome Intercontinental Champion because he is capable of putting on the best match of the night every time he goes to the ring.

Brad: The Miz just won the IC title back recently – he’s not dropping it just yet. The money is in the chase – and whether it’s Seth Rollins or Finn Balor who ultimately catches him, they’re going to continue running with Miz as champion.

Ian: The Intercontinental Championship Match to me is the hardest to predict.  One line of thinking says Miz will hold the title until he is just about to break Morales’ record and then he’ll lose; another line of thinking is they can just do that story later anyway.  I think Finn Balor takes the title his match however.

Fernando: Three main event wrestlers fighting for the Intercontinental title certainly should make the title seem relevant again. Miz has made it clear that he wants to be known as the greatest Intercontinental champion of all time. I think he steals one here and retains his gold.

Roderick: Finn Balor wins the match to set up a rematch which sees The Miz terrified by The Demon as only he could.

    Consensus: Finn Balor

Daniel Bryan & Shane McMahon vs Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn

Robert: It wouldn’t be right for Daniel Bryan to lose his first match back in WWE. I am expecting someone to tap out to the Yes Lock, or get pinned following a running knee to the face from Bryan. I’m looking forward to the crowd reaction to Daniel Bryan more than the match itself. I’m not going to expect a ton out of Daniel Bryan in his first match. I think the crowd in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome will add a ton to this match and make it feel even more special.

Ian: I’m picking Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens to defeat Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon to get their jobs back.

Brad: A month ago, who would have imagined we’d be talking about Daniel Bryan’s in-ring return in the building that he achieved his biggest career milestone. Bryan and Shane will make for one hell of a team – but I say Shane turns on Bryan and screws him over. Owens and Zayn will pick up the win here – with Bryan feuding with all 3 in the months ahead.

Fernando: You couldn’t script it any better. Daniel Bryan’s return match is happening in the same place where he capture the WWE World Heavyweight title back at WrestleMania 30. I don’t see WWE giving Bryan a loss even with the possibility of Shane getting pinned. I see Bryan making Owens or Zayn tap to the “Yes Lock” sending the “Yep Movement” to Monday Night Raw.

Roderick: Prepare for waterworks, we could see tears as Daniel Bryan picks up the win on his return.

    Consensus:Daniel Bryan & Shane McMahon

    Charlote Flair vs Asuka

Robert: Charlotte versus Asuka is one of the matches I am most looking forward to at WrestleMania 34. I think it would be a bad idea to end Asuka’s streak at WrestleMania 34. Asuka needs to win the title and continue winning. Charlotte could very well wind up being the Superstar that defeats Asuka, but just not at WrestleMania 34.

Fernando: It’s hard to imagine that Asuka’s streak would end before capturing a title and before going one-on-one with Ronda Rousey. Charlotte will provide the challenger with a stern test, but in the end I see Asuka taking it. I think she’ll make Charlotte pass out rather than tap.

Brad: There is still a lot of mileage in the thank for Asuka’s undefeated streak. I expect this to be one of the biggest matches on the show – and it really says a lot that WWE has two Japanese performers with limited English speaking ability challenging for two of the company’s top titles. These two have a very good chance of stealing the show and this is one of the matches I’m most looking forward to. I predict Asuaka is crowned queen and moves over to the SmackDown brand ahead of the next Superstar Shake-Up.

Roderick: If AJ Styles vs Nakamura doesn’t make match of the night, Charlotte versus Asuka will, with Asuka winning her first title on the main roster.  What’s that I hear you ask?  Will Carmella cash in?  No.

Jake Jeremy: Charlotte vs Asuka will be one of the most important matches in WWE history.  It could determine whether WWE takes a chance on the Women’s Division headlining next year’s show with Asuka vs Ronda Rousey.  For now, Asuka to win.

    Consensus: Asuka

Kurt Angle & Ronda Rousey vs Triple H & Stephanie McMahon

Robert: I’m hoping that this match turns out well. Rousey is new to the world of professional wrestling, so it was smart to place her in a match alongside Kurt Angle, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. I’m not expecting an instant class, but I think we will see Ronda Rousey force Stephanie McMahon to tap out.

Ian: Angle and Rousey defeat Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.  This will bring Triple H’s WM losses up to 13.

Brad: Ronda Rousey’s first-ever professional wrestling match. Kurt Angle’s WrestleMania return. There’s no way in hell these two don’t go over. Yeah, there’s always the possibility of a screwy heel turn here, but I already predicted the screwy heel turn in the Bryan/Shane match. Rousey and Angle get their feel-good WrestleMania moment and WWE hammers home for Ronda Rousey that she made the right call by joining WWE.

Fernando: I can totally see Triple H and Stephanie picking up a win, even if it isn’t the right thing to do. At the same time, Triple H has a bevy of WrestleMania losses. For the sake of Ronda Rousey’s future and Kurt Angle’s WrestleMania return, I believe “The Game” and the bosses’ daughter will take a backseat.

Roderick: I’m predicting a simultaneous armbar/ankle lock during the match at some point, with Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle picking up the win.

Consensus: Ronda Rousey & Kurt Angle

    AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura

Robert: Nakamura won the men’s Royal Rumble match and immediately selected AJ Styles as his opponent at WrestleMania 34. It has been billed as a “dream match” and rightfully so. I’d like to see Shinsuke Nakamura win the WWE Championship on April 8th. Nakamura is an incredibly talented Superstar that has had an up and down first year on the main roster. It would be awesome to see his efforts culminate in winning the WWE Championship at the biggest show of the year. AJ Styles is the perfect opponent for Nakamura, as he will bring out the best in him. I simply cannot wait to see this match.

Brad: I predict this match steals the show and Shinsuke Nakamura is crowned WWE Champion.

Ian: AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura is another tough one.  Which guy do you keep strong?  I’m taking Nakamura to win the title here.

Fernando: When these two met at Wrestle Kingdom 10, the roof nearly blew off the Tokyo Dome. The atmosphere will still be insane. A lot has been made about the injury status of Styles. Honestly, even without the injury my pick remains unchanged. I’ve got Nakamura making history.

Roderick: If you compare the first year of Shinsuke Nakamura on the main roster with AJ Styles, it’s easy to give AJ Styles the win straight away.  I think we’ve seen flashes of brilliance from Nakamura, while Styles has been Mr Consistency, but in the end I’d like to see Nakamura with the belt by the end of the night.

Jake Jeremy: This has been ‘The Match’ ever since the moment they stood opposite each other at Money In The Bank.  WWE has done the right thing in keeping these two apart until now.  As for who will win? Nakamura.

    Consensus: Nakamura

    Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns

Robert: I would be absolutely shocked if Roman Reigns does not defeat Brock Lesnar to become the new Universal Champion at WrestleMania 34. Everyone already knows that WWE wants Roman Reigns to be the face of the company and everyone is going to reject it again. Reigns will survive Suplex City, kick out of an F-5 and then win the match with a giant Spear. Yay.

Ian: Unfortunately, Roman Reigns defeats Brock Lesnar here.

Roderick: I’ve been told time and time again by SEScoops contributor Jake Jeremy that Roman was destined for the Universal Title at WrestleMania 34, even before he defeated The Undertaker… he’s been spot on the money all the way along.

Fernando: Roman Reigns has to win this match, right? Even if Lesnar re-signs with WWE, it’s hard to imagine having Lesnar reign much longer under his schedule. It’s even more difficult to picture WWE’s golden boy falling to a part-timer fair and square in the main event of WrestleMania. There really is no other option in my mind.

Jake Jeremy: If Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns mainevent, the crowd could (will) dampen the ending where Roman stands tall with the Universal title.  Hopefully Cena/Taker or AJ/Nakamura main event to leave the crowd happy… potentially.

Brad: Is there really any other scenario here beyond Roman Reigns slaying the beast? Reigns has been getting better reactions from WWE crowds in recent months and WWE has done enough damage to part-timer Brock Lesnar that this probably won’t be rejected like it could have otherwise. The best part of this match is Reigns will finally beat Lesnar and this cloud that’s been looming over WWE for years will finally pass. Make no mistake about it – Roman Reigns is now “the guy” and we’ll move on to the next chapter of his story where the big plot point isn’t so predictable a 4th grader could see it coming a mile away.

    Consensus: Roman Reigns

What Happened After RAW, Rousey Reacts To RAW Table Spot, Elias-WM34 Update

    – After RAW went off-air last night, RAW Tag Team Champions The Bar (Cesaro and Sheamus) hit the ring to attack Roman Reigns. John Cena’s music hit and The Leader Of The Cenation came down for the save. Cena hit an Attitude Adjustment and Reigns hit a Spear – both at the same time – to send the crowd home happy.

    – In the opening segment of Monday Night RAW, a Q&A session took place inside the ring between Kurt Angle, Ronda Rousey, Triple H, and Stephanie McMahon – hosted by Jonathan Coachman (which was awfully similar to a UFC pre-fight press conference).

During their face-offs things got physical between the four, which led to McMahon putting Rousey through a table. Rousey and Angle will team up against Triple H and Stephanie at WrestleMania 34. It will be Rousey’s official in-ring debut for WWE.

Rousey took to Instagram to comment on being put through a table, using a quote from George Santayana:

    – Elias is not currently penciled in for a match at WrestleMania 34 this weekend, however, he noted on RAW last night that he’s preparing for the greatest performance of a lifetime in New Orleans this Sunday:

  • WWE Is Still Teasing John Cena vs. The Undertaker At WrestleMania 34

WWE Is Still Teasing John Cena vs. The Undertaker At WrestleMania 34

For several weeks now, WWE fans have been wondering when the WWE will announce that John Cena would face The Undertaker at WrestleMania 34.

As seen on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in Atlanta, GA at the Philips Arena on the USA Network, Cena once again issued the challenge to “The Deadman” for a match at the biggest event of the year for the sports entertainment company.

Many fans of the WWE thought that with this episode being the go-home edition of WrestleMania 34 for the RAW brand, Taker would make an appearance and accept the challenge. However, that wasn’t the case.

Over the past few years, he has gone from being a full-time talent to a part-timer. After years of speculation of when Taker would retire from pro wrestling, it appeared that he had his farewell at WrestleMania 33 in the main event against Roman Reigns last year in Orlando, Florida. After the match, Taker put his gloves and hat in the middle of the ring before leaving.

Taker was last seen on WWE television back in January during the RAW 25 Anniversary episode where he cut a promo in the ring about how he has beaten everyone that there is to beat. Cena vs. Taker will reportedly take place at WrestleMania with the WWE announcing the match during the show.

Here is an excerpt from the teaser that the sports entertainment company posted on their official website:

“Will The Undertaker return to battle John Cena at WrestleMania?

After coming up short in several attempts to secure a WrestleMania bout, including the Royal Rumble Match, a career-altering contest inside Elimination Chamber and a WWE Championship Six-Pack Challenge Match at WWE Fastlane, John Cena has seen his Road to WrestleMania hit a dead end.

However, before accepting his fate and preparing to go to The Showcase of the Immortals as a member of the WWE Universe, The Leader of the Cenation decided to exhaust one more option and challenged The Undertaker to a one-on-one match on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

So, what now for Cena? With The Undertaker offering no answer to his challenge, perhaps the showdown between the two iconic Superstars is simply not meant to be. Is Cena destined to experience this year’s Showcase of The Immortals as a spectator? Will he aid another Superstar to victory or perhaps offer his expert knowledge of The Grandest Stage of Them All as a guest commentator? Or, is there still a chance that a match between John Cena and The Undertaker may take place? Find out this Sunday at WrestleMania, streaming live on WWE Network at a special start time of 7 ET/4 PT”
