Bianca Belair made sure a WWE 2K24 game player’s creativity came to life at WWE Survivor Series. Belair joined the crew of babyfaces to kick off the festivities of Survivor Series with the women’s War Games match, but had a one of a kind attire that so happened to be designed by a user of the WWE 2K24 Creative Community.
The Create-A-Wrestler days are quite different from the times of WWF No Mercy as fans can not only create their own wrestlers, but can be the tailor for some of their favorite WWE Superstars. One fan did just that for Belair and they made it very reflective of Bret Hart. Belair sported the pink, white and black duds as she made her way down for the opening “match beyond.” Belair is notorious for literally sewing her own outfits so that sense of creativity likely came from both her and the fan that made it via the gaming platform.
As Belair made her entrance, Michael Cole noted on commentary of the fan’s handywork before telling fans that WWE 2K24 was nominated for “Best Sports Game” for the forthcoming Game Awards. There’s only a set of five games in total nominated for the category as WWE 2K24 finds itself up against NBA 2K25, Top Spin 2K25 (a tennis game), F1 24, and EA SPORTS FC 25.
In a major announcement that has wrestling fans and gamers buzzing, WWE 2K24 is set to join the PlayStation Plus lineup for October 2024. This news comes as part of Sony’s recent State of Play event, where they unveiled the free games available to PlayStation Plus subscribers for the upcoming month.
Grapple with WWE 2K24 at No Extra Cost
Starting October 1, 2024, PlayStation Plus members will be able to download and play WWE 2K24 on both PS4 and PS5 consoles without any additional charge.
This offer provides an excellent opportunity for wrestling fans who haven’t yet experienced the latest installment in the popular WWE 2K franchise.
Key Features of WWE 2K24
Expanded Universe Mode
One of the game’s standout features is the enhanced Universe Mode. Here, players can create their own WWE superstar, craft compelling heel or face storylines, and work their way up to championship glory. This immersive experience allows fans to live out their wrestling dreams in unprecedented detail.
Improved Gameplay and Graphics
While WWE 2K24 may not be a revolutionary leap from its predecessor, it does offer refinements and improvements across the board. The game boasts enhanced graphics, smoother gameplay mechanics, and a variety of match types to keep players engaged.
Part of an Exciting October Lineup
WWE 2K24 isn’t entering the PlayStation Plus ring alone. It’s joined by two other notable titles:
Dead Space (PS5) – A remake of the classic sci-fi horror game.
Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! (PS4, PS5) – A psychological horror game disguised as a dating sim.

Wrestling & Soccer
WWE isn’t the only major wrestling promotion to form a partnership with a Premier League soccer team. News of this collaboration with AFC Bournemouth comes mere days after AEW reached a deal with Fulham Women FC to serve as the front-of-kit sponsor of the team.
Fulham is owned by Tony Khan’s father Shahid Khan and the AEW President has a prominent executive role with the team. With the new season kicking off earlier this month, AFC Bournemouth will face the men’s Fulham team on December 29, and once more on February 12, 2025.

One of the best parts of any WWE game is the CAW (Create-a-Wrestler) system, with some incredible uploads being shared each year.
From AEW stars to WWE legends, the community creations are top-notch every time a WWE 2K game comes out, and 2K24 is no different.
Here’s a look at some of the best WWE 2K24 CAWs out there right now and which creators you need to be following to get them.
AEW Stars
Adam Copeland (Edge)
Creator: Valoween Tag: #Valoween
Adam Copeland, of course Edge during his WWE tenure, is another CAW that you need to be looking for if you want some Rated-R Superstar in your 2K this year.
This creation from Valoween is absolutely fantastic and perfectly captures Copeland’s AEW look.
Darby Allin
The Darby Allin CAW from RebelCaws is absolutely incredible, there’s no other way of saying it. Rebel has NAILED it in terms of the look for the skateboarder turned pro wrestler and daredevil and you NEED to download it if you’re a fan of the former TNT Champion.

Darby Allin is uploaded! Just this version for now. Moveset copied from Fight Forever. Thanks to Status for helping me bypass the image points. His arm tattoo still isn’t perfect but it’s close enough. I gotta move on, I don’t have time for this anymore. See ya around ✌️ #WWE2K24… pic.twitter.com/Knqpux4jT1
Defract’s Will Ospreay model is another fantastic addition to your CAW downloads in 2K24, with the British star’s model bearing a striking semblance to his modern All Elite in-ring style.

Pat McAfee hit back at critics ahead of the following WWE 2K24 downloadable content.
WWE 2K24 has received some backlash for the next installment of content from their season pass. The popular video game series is set to release the Pat McAfee Show Pack on July 24. It will feature the fan-favorite Monday Night Raw Commentator and his sports talk show co-hosts Ty Schmit, Boston Connor, AJ Hawk, and Darius Butler as playable characters.
The downloadable content doesn’t have a price listed yet or is available on digital stores as a standalone. However, it’s expected to be $9.99, like thePost Malone & Friends and ECW Punk Pack from the WWE 2K24 season pass. The decision to add McAfee and his co-hosts hasn’t been universally well-received, as fans have wanted to see more active superstars or former legends in the game.
The developers of WWE 2K24 have also yet to promote the Pat McAfee Show Pack like the previous DLC additions. In response to the negative feedback, McAfee has called out the critics of his and his friends’ inclusion in the game.
The popular WWE personality reposted a Smackdown Hotel X Account tweet, which sarcastically questioned whether they were excited about the upcoming DLC. McAfee responded by calling out the critics in the internet wrestling community and saying that the Pat McAfee Show Pack won’t be released on July 24.
Some of these bumass IWC folks are calling this the worst DLC of all time..
The DLC is still listed on the WWE 2K24 website to come out on July 24. A new announcement to reschedule the Pat McAfee Show Pack seems unlikely, as they have two more DLCs to release from their season pass and more updates to be added to the game.
Upcoming WWE 2K24 Downloadable Content
Although fans have responded negatively to the Pat McAfee Show Pack, WWE 2K developers plan to end their season pass with more legends and active superstars.
The Global Superstars Pack will be released on September 18. It will feature six current talents, including Jade Cargill, Lyra Valkyria, and Dragon Lee, who will make their debut in the WWE 2K series. The game will conclude the season pass with the WCW Pack, hitting digital stores on November 13. Wrestling legends Diamond Dallas Page, Iron Sheik, Mr. Perfect, Great Muta, and Lex Luger will return to the popular video game series to add more depth to the stacked roster.
WWE 2K24 fans may continue criticizing the developers’ choice to include McAfee and his co-hosts in their season pass. However, the following DLC, which will come later this year, has the potential to be a fantastic inclusion in the well-received wrestling game.
A new round of wrestling legends and one major pop superstar have been added to WWE 2K24. The popular video game released their latest downloadable content, Post Malone & Friends, on June 26 for $9.99. Along with Malone, the update features Honky Tonk Man, Sensational Sherri, and The Headbangers (Mosh & Thrasher) as playable characters, and Jimmy Hart is included as a manager.
Fans will already notice that the game marks the WWE 2K debut of the Grammy-nominated artist. However, it also marks the return of the featured wrestling legends in the video game series. Honky Tonk Man and Sherri haven’t made an appearance in a WWE game since WWE 2K16, where the former WWF Intercontinental Champion was the only superstar playable. For The Headbangers, they haven’t been playable in a WWE game since WWF Attitude, which came out in 1999.
It’s been long since these legends were made available to WWE 2K fans, but was it worth the wait? I’ve played with each character to give my review on the Post Malone & Friends and will rate it between 1-10. I also won’t count Malone, as comparing a special guest character to people who have wrestled wouldn’t be fair.
WWE 2K24: Sensational Sherri Collage
All Character Models Look Amazing
In my review of the ECW Punk Pack DLC, I was blown away by the job the developers did to make each character model look realistic to their counterparts. I believe the Post Malone & Friends takes the look of each of the characters to another level. Honky Tonk Man, Sherri, and The Headbangers look absolutely incredible and show how much the developers cared about representing each legend.
The standout among the new stars of WWE 2K24 was Sherri. She looks fantastic and almost accurate to her look during her wrestling career. Her attire seems nearly identical to that of when she faced Rockin Robin for the WWE Women’s Championship on December 26, 1987.
There are notable differences like her hair used to be brown. WWE 2K24 gave Sherri black hair, which would resemble her look when she was a manager. It’s small details of these legends that younger fans may not notice, but people who have watched Sherri during her wrestling career may criticize. That said, all of the character models are very close to where their real counterparts were during their wrestling careers, which the majority of fans should love.
One of my complaints from the ECW Punk Pack was that the developers could have done better at having more of the iconic moveset for characters. One example was how The Dudley Boyz(Bubba Ray Dudley & D-Von Dudley) didn’t have one of their signature moves, which I believed should’ve been included. In this latest DLC, the developers did a perfect job getting each legend’s move set to make them unique. Fans will notice how Honky Tank Man and Sherri both have a style that resembles more of the wrestling they did in their careers. Their move set is simplistic but effective.
For example, Sherri has moves in which she utilizes her opponent’s hair to either slam or throw them down. Another example was how well the tag team moves for The Headbangers were in the DLC. I noticed every signature move they did and couldn’t think of a tag move the developers missed. Compared to the move set from The Dudley Boyz, The Headbangers seems flawless and makes it more fun to play with them.
Conclusion
ThePost Malone & Friends DLC sets a high bar for what will come. I thought the ECW Punk Pack was great, but the developers took it to another level with the latest DLC.
The character models are near perfect, and the attention to detail in making each legend use a move set that is natural to them is incredible. When looking at the following slate of new content from WWE 2K24, I believe the Post Malone & Friends is the new standard.
WrestleMania XL was a massive night for the company, and now gamers can relive the card however they like on WWE 2K24.
The new WrestleMania 40 arena dropped for the upcoming DLC content on WWE 2K24. The new model for Lincoln Financial Field will be available on June 5.
WWE Games’ official Twitter/X account revealed the new playable venue, and the reception from fans has already been very positive. Many of them can’t wait to get inside the stadium and create their own WrestleMania moments.
This official update from WWE 2K24 is awesome, but the creator community has also been going in overdrive. We invite you to check out the first of our weekly feature highlighting the incredibly talented people who are making custom content for the new 2K game.
Future DLC Packs
Here’s a look at future WWE 2K24 DLC packs:

WWE 2K24 Reception
The standard edition of WWE 2K24 features Cody Rhodes on the cover. The special edition marks a milestone with Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair, the first time female wrestlers have shared the cover. Initially, the “40 Years of WrestleMania” special cover included Brock Lesnar, but he was later removed.
The game is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Critics have praised WWE 2K24 for its significant improvements and refinements over previous versions.
It received scores of 8/10 from IGN and GameSpot, and an 81% on Metacritic. Users have rated it 3.7 based on 316 reviews. We rated the game an 8.5/10 in our exclusive review:
WWE 2K24 fans can rejoice as the series has released the ECW Punk Pack from their Season Pass. The latest downloadable content features ECW legends The Sandman, Terry Funk, and The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray Dudley & D-Von Dudley). It also spotlights WWE fan favorite CM Punk, who returns to the video game series after his last appearance in WWE 2K15.
When WWE 2K24 was revealed on January 22, fans wanted Punk to be playable at launch. Unfortunately, the game’s roster was already set, and the developers decided to make him a part of their DLC.
The beloved wrestling game offers fans the option to buy Season Pass for $39.99 or the ECW Punk Pack as a standalone for $9.99. I’ve played with the new characters from the DLC enough to share my review, which I’ll rate from 1 to 10.
WWE 2K24 Delivers On The Realism
As the case for the base game, WWE 2K developers did an incredible job making each wrestler from the DLC look stunning. The game captures each character model to look as realistic as their counterparts.
For example, Punk looks like he is currently on TV, with great detail, from his tattoo to the greys in his beard. I was also pleasantly surprised by how much care the developers put into each character’s entrance. It’s very noticeable when Punk comes out on the stage and does his signature pose; the fans chant his name loudly as they do each week on TV.
Another fun detail is when The Sandman makes his entrance and smashes a beer can on his head; he starts to bleed like he did during his career. Unfortunately, he doesn’t make his signature walk from the crowd but instead comes from the stage. It’s unclear why the developers could not add this feature to his entrance. However, I appreciate that they try to make The Sandman entrance unique.
WWE 2K24 may have its issues, but it undeniably does a great job of capturing the performers realistically. Each ECW Punk Pack character model makes me appreciate how far wrestling games have come over the years.
Move Set For Each Character Is Great
One of my concerns was if WWE 2K24’s latest DLC would include the signature move set of each character. For the most part, I can say that the WWE 2K developers did a great job of getting the in-ring moves with a few omissions.
The noticeable move missing from my playthrough with The Dudley Boyz was not having their popular assisted Diving Headbutt to the groin. It would’ve been nice if fans would’ve been able to recreate a move that is signature to their style. However, the 3-D is in the game and could be done from the corner. Another excellent inclusion for longtime Punk fans is that the Pepsi Plunge(Avalanche Pedigree) is his super finisher in the game.
I wish certain moves were included with each wrestler. However, it’s not enough to bring my enjoyment down from playing with them. The WWE 2K developers captured most of their signature and think fans will appreciate what they put into the game.
Conclusion
I think WWE 2K24 ECW Punk Pack is an excellent start for Season Pass. Fans may complain about specific decisions, like The Sandman’s entrance, that don’t capture each character to their fullest potential. That said, I enjoyed playing with the addition to the already-loaded roster and can’t wait to play against other gamers online or local with them.
This DLC sets the tone for what fans should expect for the following four packs later this year. Hopefully, they can also deliver as well as the ECW Punk Pack for character detail and signature moves.
I give WWE 2K24’s latest DLC ECW Punk Pack a 9 out of 10.
2K has released the last update for the upcoming ECW DLC pack for WWE 2K24, known as the ECW Punk Pack, which will be available on Wednesday, May 15. They have revealed CM Punk’s appearance in the game, accurately capturing his likeness. They even nailed the WWE Universe’s rambunctious “CM Punk” chants.
WWE and 2K recently released previews of the ECW Punk Pack characters, featuring The Sandman, The Dudley Boyz, and Terry Funk. Today, they unveiled a screenshot of CM Punk, the last member of the pack. This release was accompanied by a video showcasing his entrance in the game.
This marks CM Punk’s first official appearance in a WWE game since WWE 2K15. During the interim period, the only way fans could get Punk in the game was via a talented CAW artist in the 2k community.
CM Punk returned to WWE during the closing moments of the 2023 Survivor Series event. That surprise in the Windy City caught everyone off-guard, and 2K also didn’t have him prepared for their upcoming game. They got to work in rapid fashion to correct this omission from the roster.
In case you’re wondering how far WWE video games have come since CM Punk was last featured in a game, you can check out his 2K15 entrance below. The difference is pretty astounding.

WWE 2K24 Release & Reception
WWE 2K24 dropped on March 8, 2024, with Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, and Rhea Ripley leading the promotional charge as the game’s cover Superstars. The special 40 Years of WrestleMania cover of the game saw an alteration after Brock Lesnar was scrubbed from the game.

IGN and GameSpot each gave the game a score of 8 out of 10. Metacritic has given it a score of 81%. Users have also shared their opinions, rating it 3.7 based on 316 reviews. In our exclusive review, we gave WWE 2K24 a score of 8.5 out of 10:
We’ve got a first look at the Dudley Boyz’ ring entrance in WWE 2K24. WWE Hall of Famers Bubba Ray and Devon Dudley will be available next Tuesday, May 14 as part of the game’s first DLC pack. The ‘ECW Punk Pack’ also includes The Sandman, Terry Funk and CM Punk.
Devon Dudley is rated 84 in the game, while Bubba Ray is an 85.

We rated the game an 8.5/10 in our exclusive review:
WWE 2K24 is set to have the first batch of downloadable content on May 15. The popular video game series will have five DLC packs, which fans can purchase together in a season pass for $39.99. In preparation for next week’s release, WWE 2K24 has shared a first look at ECW legend The Sandman.
The upcoming DLC titled the ECW Punk Pack features The Sandman, The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray Dudley & D-Von Dudley), Terry Funk, and CM Punk as playable characters. It will mark the first time they will be playable in the last few years, including The Sandman, who hasn’t been in a WWE video game since Smackdown vs. Raw 2008.
WWE 2K24’s X/Twitter account previewed a first look and the entrance for The Sandman.
Although the hardcore icon character model looks good, his appearance resembles his time in WWE. Fans may be disappointed that his signature ECW theme, Enter Sandman by Metallica, isn’t featured in his entrance. It’s also noticeable that the ECW legend doesn’t come to the ring from the crowd in the game.
The Sandman is rated 86 in WWE 2K24
It’s unclear why WWE 2K developers didn’t include The Sandman’s signature entrance in their latest installment. Alongside the first look at the hardcore legend, WWE 2K24 revealed that he has an 86 overall. The Sandman’s stats come as a surprise, with the ECW icon having better numbers than current WWE superstars.
The Sandman’s Overall Compared To Current WWE Superstars In The Game
The Sandman’s high overall may surprise some fans compared to active WWE talent featured in the game. WWE 2K24 has the former ECW World Heavyweight Champion rated higher than the likes of AJ Styles (85), Chad Gable (80), and Austin Theory (72). He also has a better overall than other WWE Hall of Famers featured in the game, like Booker T (85) and Harley Race (84).
SEScoops’ Thomas Lowson transcribed the following quotes.
“For us on the design side, we’re really big on character differentiation and making sure that when you select a character that they are of their appropriate hierarchy on the card. Not everybody can be a Roman Reigns. You have people that are at the tippety top of the card and then you have people that are not, but there’s no slight on anybody,” said Williams.
Williams also noted how many championships a wrestler has held and their win/loss record were considered when making the decision.
It’s unclear why the WWE 2K developers felt The Sandman should have a better overall than several top current talent and legends. However, fans of the ECW legend will soon get a chance to put his overall to the test next week.
WWE 2K24 has released Patch 1.06, targeting stability improvements across several game modes. The update fixes issues with MyFACTION leaderboards, Ring Announcer settings in Title Matches, and allows more flexibility in MyGM mode by enabling players to book SuperStars from different tag teams in the same match.
WWE 2K24 has rolled out its latest update, bringing a series of stability improvements to enhance the gaming experience. This update addresses several issues reported by players, ensuring smoother gameplay across various game modes.
WWE 2K24 Patch 1.06 Notes
Stability Improvements
Addressed reported concerns of leaderboards not loading correctly within MyFACTION
Addressed reported concerns related to setting the Ring Announcer to None when entering a Title Match
Addressed reported concerns of auto complete preventing players in MyGM from booking SuperStars from different tag teams in the same match
One of the key fixes in this patch includes a solution to the leaderboards not loading correctly within the MyFACTION mode. Players had reported this issue, which affected their ability to track progress and standings accurately. The update ensures that leaderboards will now function as intended, displaying data correctly and reliably.
The patch resolves a problem related to the Ring Announcer settings in Title Matches. Previously, setting the Ring Announcer to “None” could cause issues during these matches. With this update, players can now choose this setting without experiencing disruptions.
Another significant fix addresses the issue in the MyGM mode, where auto-completion settings prevented players from booking SuperStars from different tag teams in the same match. This enhancement will allow for more flexibility in match setups, providing players with a broader range of strategic options.
These updates, along with several other minor fixes, are part of WWE 2K24’s ongoing efforts to respond to community feedback and improve the overall gameplay experience.
Patch 1.06 is now available for download across all platforms where WWE 2K24 is supported.
Previous WWE 2K24 Update
2K keeps putting hours into releasing updated patches for their latest offering. The 1.05 update for WWE 2K24 introduced significant audio enhancements, including full Create-A-Superstar (CAS) support for announcers Samantha Irvin and Alicia Taylor. Additionally, the update expanded match options, allowing players to select their preferred Ring Announcer from Mike Rome, Samantha Irvin, or Alicia Taylor, providing gamers with more customization options for their in-game experience.
They also tweaked camera angle issues for several moves in the game. They also addressed reported concerns related to shadows not displaying properly in the WrestleMania 31 daytime arena.
WWE 2K24 Reception
WWE 2K24 was launched on March 8, 2024, and is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The game was well-received by critics, earning generally favorable reviews. It was praised for its incremental improvements and refinements compared to its predecessor. Notable scores include an 8/10 from both IGN and GameSpot, and an 81% on Metacritic. Additionally, it has a user rating of 3.7 based on 316 reviews.
We reviewed WWE 2K24 before it was released. SEScoops correspondent Tyriece Simon gave the game an 8.5/10:
A WWE 2K producer has shared what exactly goes into the often controversial, much-discussed rankings of playable characters.
Earlier this month, WWE 2K24 was released and has proven to be another hit in the series. Once more, the game features rankings for the Superstars, which often appear on WWE programming. These rankings are often heavily-discussed and during an interview with the Squared Circle Pit, WWE 2K24 producer Bryan Williams spoke about what goes into an in-game ranking.
“For us on the design side, we’re really big on character differentiation and making sure that when you select a character that they are of their appropriate hierarchy on the card. Not everybody can be a Roman Reigns. You have people that are at the tippety top of the card and then you have people that are not, but there’s no slight on anybody.”
Williams added that in contrast to previous years, WWE 2K24’s ratings were determined much more on what sort of year a Superstar has had since the previous game’s release.
“We kind of take all that into account to see, did they hold championships? Were they winning more than they were losing? Are they consistently pushed?”
Controversial Ratings
During the February 26, episode of WWE Raw, Michael Cole spoke about WWE 2K24. The veteran broadcaster said the character ratings in WWE 2K games are “always controversial.”
Kurt Angle is in WWE 2K24 and many fans have been angered by his rating. The WWE Hall of Famer, Olympic Gold Medalist, King of the Ring, and World Champion has an 89 rating in the game. On social media, fans argued that this ranking was too low and pointed at Logan Paul’s 90 rating as proof Angle should be higher.
A Very Real Controversy
Though fans often debate whether a Superstar should be ranked higher or lower than another, one Superstar this year sparked a controversy out of the confines of the ring. GUNTHER was given an 88 rating for WWE 2K24, which caused concerns among some fans.
88 is known as a Nazi dog whistle which allows Nazis to signal their beliefs to others covertly. A simple numeric alphabet code (A=1, B=2, etc) sees 88 translated into HH (Heil Hitler.) While WWE 2K did not address this directly, GUNTHER’s rating was changed to an 89.

Belair is one of the cover stars of WWE 2K24 and is featured on the ‘Deluxe Edition’ alongside Rhea Ripley. This week, WWE Games shared a photo of Belair, Ripley, and Cody Rhodes, the latter being the cover star of the standard edition of the game.
While the vast majority of comments were positive, two were hateful in nature. One said that while Rhodes and Ripley deserved to be there, Belair did not, which many took as a racially motivated. A second comment left nothing to interpretation, as the person said that Belair did not deserve a spot on the cover but “gotta have a black.”
Wrestlers Support Bianca Belair
These comments have received backlash from fans as well as those in the wrestling industry. In a series of tweets, Zelina Vega made it clear those racist fans should be ashamed of themselves.
The “fans” that took part in the blatant disrespect and hate towards her and other black men and women should be ashamed and embarrassed. It’s disgusting. But your hate will never EVER dim their shine. We love you B. You continue to be an inspiration to all of us.
TNA Wrestling’s AJ Francis stated that such comments are hardly new when it comes to black athletes.
I told yall over a year ago it was racist how people would always compare B-Fab to Bianca or Jade even though none of the 3 of them are even close to looking alike…
“Ratchet” or “ghetto” are words people loved using to describe actions by all of them. Coded language is…
Rhea Ripley, Belair’s cover co-star expressed her support for the EST and said these ‘fans’ are mad that she’s better than them.
EST ain’t just a nickname… @BiancaBelairWWE is a history maker, a trailblazer, and one of the nicest humans that you would have the privilege to ever meet. Y’all just mad that she’s better than you 💁🏻♀️ #EST
Kacy Catanzaro praised Belair as an inspiration to her who has shattered glass ceilings throughout her WWE career.
. @BiancaBelairWWE is a huge inspiration and has been good to me since the day I walked into the performance center. Thank you for all that you continue to do to shatter glass ceilings. A true legend in and out of the ring. ❤️🫶🏼
WWE referee Daphanie LeShaunn spoke about her own experience facing racism as a black woman in wrestling.
I never expected the amount of hate and racism I face every single day for existing in this profession. But quitting would be giving them what they want. I can only imagine what Bianca goes through…The hate is strong but our accomplishments are even greater.🙏🏾❤️ https://t.co/RGkSY6F3EI

Raw Superstar Ivy Nile credited Belair as everything she strives to be in WWE and praised the efforts of all three WWE 2K24 cover stars.
. @BiancaBelairWWE is everything I strive to be in the WWE. All 3 are the hardest working and influential people in my life, and I’m so grateful to know ALL of them. Much love, B 💜 #TennesseeStronghttps://t.co/6R7ljd55V4
The comments made by these fans are clearly abhorrent and do not reflect the wrestling world or its fanbase. The standard edition of WWE 2K24 hits shelves today.
Gamers will have a lot more to do with WWE 2K24. This year’s game is coming soon, and plenty of headlines are popping up for the game as additional details about the release are made available. SEScoops got a hold of a copy early, and you can check out our extensive review here.
The official roster for WWE 2K24 is expansive, and you can check out all the names at this link. This year’s edition of WWE 2K24 will also see a larger focus on certain fan-favorite features. Their Faction Wars mode is going to get a bit more love, and 2k was happy to make this announcement.
WWE 2K24 Faction Wars
Faction Wars return with updated features and a brand-new structure! Assemble your team of four Superstars for battles against A.I.-controlled teams, progressing through various matches and stages until the ultimate Boss showdown.
Better than ever. ?
Introducing, revamped Faction Wars! Take your Faction as far as you can in multiple matches. Each run requires a ticket to enter. Check it out in #WWE2K24! pic.twitter.com/SCqC1BrYb9
The new drop from WWE Games’ Twitter/X account certainly gives gamers a lot of hope that this year’s game will give them a lot more to do. We will have to see what this adds to the game, but fans are excited for what they will find.
Late WWE 2K24 Edits
WWE 2K24 had to see some edits after Janel Grant’s lawsuit accused Vince McMahon of several heinous acts. Brock Lesnar, although he wasn’t named, was also brought into the situation. He was removed from the special Forty Years of WrestleMania edition of the game.
Brock Lesnar is included in the game files, but he is not a playable character. Likewise, Vince McMahon was censored from the game as they made attempts to remove Mr. McMahon after that damning lawsuit.
NXT General Manager Ava is defending WWE Superstar Bianca Belair from racist comments levied at her by a wrestling fan on social media.
Belair, a 3-time Women’s Champion, is one of the cover stars of the new WWE 2K24 video game. She and Rhea Ripley are on the cover of WWE 2K24: Deluxe Edition, while the ‘American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes is on the cover of the Standard Edition. The ‘WWE Games’ Instagram account posted photos from a recent shoot involving the three cover stars.
One Instagram user replied and said Belair “doesn’t belong” and was only included because of her race.
Ava, who is unfortunately no stranger to online harassment, came to the defense of ‘The EST.’ She offered love and support, sharing in the frustration that this type of behavior is all too common these days.
“Disappointed but not surprised… we [love] you, B.”
Ava is the daughter of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, one of the most famous people in the world. The children of famous parents experience a host of unique challenges, especially when they themselves pursue a career in public life.
Ava’s most recent brush with online trolls came when it was looking like her father would be usurping Cody Rhodes to wrestle Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. Of course, this has absolutely nothing to do with Ava, and she had no involvement in WWE’s WrestleMania booking. However that didn’t stop some fans from literally threatening her life online.
Forget Trolls & Celebrate Greatness
No matter what some fans may think, Ava and Bianca Belair are talented young women pursuing and achieving their dreams.
Belair has established herself as a trailblazer and indeed cover-star worthy as she and Mercedes Mone became the first two African-Americans to main event a match at WrestleMania 37. She nearly won the 2024 Elimination Chamber to meet her 2K24 cover co-star at WrestleMania, but it ended up being Becky Lynch who came out on top.
Belair’s in-ring plans for Philadelphia currently remains unknown as we’re a month away from pro wrestling’s premier event.
With WWE 2K24 recognizing the promotion’s past, there have been questions as to how WWE would handle McMahon’s presence in important moments. After all, some of WWE’s biggest feuds that led to matches at the Showcase of the Immortals have included the 78-year-old billionaire.
With the game’s Deluxe Edition already out, gamers have been able to get their hands on WWE 2K24. One match in the WrestleMania Showcase mode is the Women’s triple threat that headlined WrestleMania 35 in 2019.
Fans who have played the WrestleMania Showcase mode will have noticed that in archive footage for the WrestleMania 39 match, McMahon appears alongside Charlotte Flair. In the footage of the segment which saw Flair added to the match, McMahon’s face is blurred out. The narration also states WWE replaced Becky Lynch with Flair without mentioning McMahon by name.
Vince McMahon in WWE 2K24’s Showcase mode.
What’s Next?
The regular edition of WWE 2K24 will be released later this week. As for McMahon, the lawsuit against him will continue forward despite his resignation from the promotion. against the former WWE Chairman.
With WWE 2K24 around the corner, excitement for the new game is at a fever pitch, with top stars like Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins all confirmed.
While these three will have some of the highest ratings in the game, not everyone can have great stats, and there’ll always be somebody with the outright worst ranking in the game. In this feature, we look at some of the worst-ranked playable characters in WWE video games.
Eric Bischoff – 52 – SmackDown: Here Comes The Pain
Perhaps it was a battle for brand supremacy that led to then-Raw General Manager Eric Bischoff having the lowest ranking in SmackDown: Here Comes The Pain. Bischoff’s martial arts prowess and all-black gi helped little whenever you played as him in the game.
Ribbie – 60 – WWE 2K20
WWE 2K20 was a disaster of a game but it did give fans their first-ever playable anthropomorphic rack of ribs. Ribbie is the mascot of the Memphis Sliders, a minor baseball team, according to Byron Saxton, and with his BBQ sauce haircut, we imagine wrestlers weren’t eager to face him.
Curt Hawkins – 64 – WWE 2K19
The master of the losing streak, Curt Hawkins’ unfortunate record was replicated with his woeful score in WWE 2K19. Nowadays, Hawkins is faring much better in TNA Wrestling as Brian Myers.
Jimmy Hart – 67 – SmackDown Vs. Raw 2008
It makes sense that the Mouth of the South’s rating would be so low, given he very rarely wrestled. This ranking shows that in SVR ’08, Jimmy was best being kept at ringside.
Bo Dallas – 67- WWE 2K17
All the Bo-lieving in the world couldn’t save Bo Dallas from this dreadful score in WWE 2K17. Good luck winning any titles as the third-generation wrestler! His brother Bray would be well ahead of Bo in the game with a score of 87.
Sawyer Fulton – 69 – WWE 2K18
The forgotten member of Sanity, Sawyer Fulton’s 69 is the worst in the entire WWE 2K18 game. What makes this worse is that this would mark Fulton’s first and only time in a video game.
Eric Bischoff (again) – 69 – WWE 2K22
Things clearly picked up for Easy-E between Here Comes The Pain and WWE 2K22, but that wasn’t enough to save him from having the worst rating once again. Sorry Eric!
Michael Cole & Jim Ross – 71 – WWE ’12
These WWE commentators shared the same woeful rating in WWE ’12, so it’s only fair we lump them together. Frankly though, why anyone would play as either man, especially Cole, is anyone’s guess.
Pro wrestling fans and gamers often come together for the yearly 2k video game drops, just to see what the company has in store. Now, we have even more information on the MyRISE feature, and this should keep players entertained for hours.
WWE 2K24 is going to offer fans a ton of gameplay options. The popular feature MyRISE is coming back, and in the latest installment, the gaming franchise will unveil two captivating storylines: Unleashed and Undisputed.
WWE 2K24 MyRISE
2k has dropped even more information about the upcoming MyRISE feature in WWE 2K24. With 80 rewards awaiting players, including arenas, Paybacks, entrances, MyFACTION cards, and championship belts, gamers are set for an immersive journey. Over 6 hours of dialogue, complete with voiceovers from WWE icons like Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio, Mick Foley, and Shotzi, promise an engaging experience.
In Unleashed, the focus shifts to the women’s division storyline, where players embody a wrestler carving her path by her own rules. From building a thriving wrestling company on the indie scene to grappling with the opportunity to showcase their talents on WWE’s grand stage, players face crucial decisions: to unleash their full potential or hold back.
WWE 2K24 MyRISE Extras
William Regal reprises his role as the General Manager of Raw in both narratives, aiding players in navigating backstage rivalries. In Unleashed, Regal serves as a confidant, guiding players through the intricacies of larger-than-life WWE characters, urging them to “take big swings” and “live the fantasy.”
Undisputed also offers players significant choices, including aligning with SmackDown GM The Miz, leading to unique storylines, cutscenes, and alliances. Whether players opt to collaborate with Miz or oppose him, each decision shapes their gaming experience.
For the first time, MyRISE introduces MyFACTION cards exclusive to Undisputed and Unleashed, featuring beloved characters like Cole Quinn, Chosen, Slade, Tavish, and Xavier Woods’ alter ego, Zero.
WWE 2K24 will see one of the series’ largest-ever rosters, but one former Superstar wishes that she was a playable character in the new game.
WWE 2K24 will be the latest game in the 2K series of games that began with the release of WWE 2K14 a decade ago. The Standard Edition of WWE 2K24 will be released on March 8, while the Deluxe and 40 Years of WrestleMania Editions will be released three days earlier on March 5. Earlier this week, fans caught their first glimpse of gameplay footage from WWE 2K24.
Kelly Kelly and WWE 2K24
With 4 decades of WWE being on display in WWE 2K24, not everybody can be featured in the upcoming video game. Recently, Kelly Kelly’s name was trending on social media as fans rallied for her to be included. Responding, Kelly said that she wishes she could be a part of WWE 2K24.
When WWE 2K recently revealed its roster for the upcoming game, fans noticed how several notable names were missing. Two-time WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, who will compete for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40, was among those missing. In a statement, 2K said this was a simple error and has since included McIntyre and others in updated rosters.
Kelly Kelly in Video Games
Kelly appeared in six video games during her run with WWE and made her in-game debut in SmackDown Vs. Raw 2008. From there, she appeared in SVR 2009, 2010, and 2011. After the game series rebranded, she appeared in WWE ’12 and WWE ’13. In Mexico, a videogame store sold an exclusive cover of WWE ’12 featuring Kelly Kelly on the cover.

WWE 2K24 is not going to include CM Punk from the look of it. Of course, CM Punk appeared in AEW: Fight Forever, even after his firing. This is a very interesting issue, and Punk is going to look into things.
CM Punk certainly noticed that his name is not included in 2K’s plan to roll out this new game. His name is absent from the roster, and DLC plans have not featured him, either. The Second City Savior is never short on words, and an investigation is apparently underway.
WWE 2K24 is preparing for its upcoming release, introducing several new features to fans. Notable enhancements include the incorporation of real WWE referees and highly lifelike character models. However, to the surprise of many, CM Punk’s absence from the game, including any future DLC plans, has prompted him to launch an inquiry.
Acknowledging his absence from the game, CM Punk took to social media to address the situation. He admitted to being aware of his late return to WWE, which consequently led to his exclusion from the game’s initial roster.
CM Punk brought up that 2K had revealed the full roster for the upcoming WWE video game. He expressed his disappointment at not being included, recognizing that his return to WWE occurred after the game’s development. Despite this, he had hoped to see himself featured in the recently released DLC teaser. In response to fan demand for his inclusion, CM Punk stated that he would be conducting an investigation into the matter.
Punk also realizes that fans will go crazy because he’s not in the game, but that is the situation we’re in right now.
”And I know this because the fans are going crazy, they’re asking where I’m at and asking how come I’m not in the video game. So, I decided to make it my thing to try to get to the bottom of this, because the fans are demanding that I be put in this video game. Now I’m not a video game guy, so I don’t know how fast they can do this, but like I said, we’re gonna try to get to the bottom of this, and I’m gonna tag them here just to put some pressure on. Let’s put some feet to fire today, ladies and gentlemen.”
CM Punk didn’t return to WWE until Survivor Series 2024, and that was a massive surprise. 2K had no time to get his character design all ready, let alone the entrance on Punk’s level deserves in the game.
Hopefully, 2k will announce Punk as a DLC addition later on. Right now, it appears that fans will have to keep waiting, or they will have to make a CAW of Punk for one more year.
WWE 2K24 Release Details

Update: CM Punk will be Included
It was announced during WWE RAW that CM Punk, Jade Cargill, Pat McAfee, and more will be included as DLC in the season pass of this year’s game.
Cody Rhodes will be a playable character in the WWE 2K24 video game, as both himself and an action figure recreation of the American Nightmare.
On social media, a clip was uploaded featuring the action-figure version of Rhodes making his entrance in the upcoming video game. This figure of Rhodes depicts his WWE Hell in a Cell 2022 attire, complete with torn pectoral injury. Rhodes would compete despite the injury and defeat Seth Rollins inside Hell in a Cell. This figure comes from the WWE Mattel Elite: Defining Moments range of action figures.
In addition to being a playable character, in both flesh and plastic form, Cody Rhodes is one of the cover stars for WWE 2K24. That’s despite Cody being unable to finish the story at WrestleMania 39, a loss that hit the popular Raw Superstar hard. Rhodes has even said that he doesn’t want to be part of the next WWE 2K video game if he is unable to become a WWE World Champion.
Unusual WWE Video Game Characters
Ribbie, a delicious BBQ rib, was a playable character in WWE 2K20.
The action-figure version of Cody Rhodes is hardly the first bizarre entry into a WWE video game. For WrestleMania 2000, fans could play as a Crash Test Dummy, not to be confused with then-Hardcore Champion Crash Holly. Al Snow was a part of WWF Attitude, as was ‘Head’ which for the game had grown hands and feet and hovered at head height above the canvas.
Colonel Sanders would bring his finger-lickin’ fury to WWEK 2K18 while WWE 2K20 saw the inclusion of ‘Ribbie’ a BBQ rib brought to life who serves as the mascot for a minor league baseball team referenced in the game’s story mode.
