The following are results from the WWE Supershow live event in Washington, D.C. The event was held on Sunday, September 1, 2013.

-Dolph Ziggler defeated Big E. Langston via Pinfall. Ziggler picked up the clean victory via pinfall after hitting Langston with his Zig-Zag finishing move. Ziggler got a big reaction coming out. Langston did more work than we’re accustomed to seeing out of him on television.

-WWE United States Champion Dean Ambrose defeated R-Truth via Pinfall. Was said to be a decent match. In the end, Ambrose retained his U.S. title via pinfall by rolling Truth up for the 1-2-3.

-Vickie Guerrero came out to the ring. She announced that after a fan poll via text-voting, we will have a Divas Dance-Off. The dance competition featured AJ Lee, Layla, Brie Bella, Kaitlyn, Naomi and Natalya. Pretty much the same deal as last week here. AJ Lee refused to dance. The heel girls danced, and when the face girls went to dance, they were attacked by the heel girls, setting up a tag-match.

-Kaitlyn, Naomi and Natalya defeated AJ Lee, Layla and Brie Bella via Pinfall. At one point in the match, Brie Bella, disgusted with AJ due to her promo on RAW last week, simply walked off and left AJ by herself. This allowed Kaitlyn to spear AJ for the 1-2-3.

-Rob Van Dam and The Big Show defeated Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns via Disqualification. RVD filled in for Mark Henry in this one, who couldn’t compete due to a hamstring injury suffered during his run-in at the Boston live event on Saturday. Van Dam and Show pick up the “W”, but the WWE Tag-Team Championships remain with The Shield.

-The Wyatt Family defeated The Usos via Pinfall. This was kept extremely short, with the Wyatt Family picking up the clean victory in what was basically a squash-match.

-CM Punk defeated Curtis Axel via Pinfall in a Non-Title Match. Paul Heyman was in Axel’s corner for this one. He cut a promo before the match explaining that the bout would not be for Axel’s WWE Intercontinental Championship. In the end, Punk picked up the victory via pinfall and blasted Heyman with a kendo stick-shot after the match.

-WWE Champion Randy Orton defeated Daniel Bryan via Pinfall. Was said to be a very good match that went about 20 minutes. At one point during the match, Orton was stuck in the “Yes! Lock” submission hold. Brad Maddox ran-in and pulled the referee out of the ring so he did not see Orton tapping. This led to The Shield beating down Bryan, setting up a RKO from Orton, which was immediately followed by the 1-2-3. After the match, The Shield continued their beatdown of Bryan. This resulted in all the babyfaces coming out. Orton ran off, leaving The Shield to take a beating from all of the good guys.

NOTES:

-Both Mark Henry and a World Heavyweight Championship match between Alberto Del Rio vs. Christian was scheduled. Henry didn’t appear, and the Del Rio-Christian match never happened.

WWE House Show Results (8/24): Las Cruces, N.M. – CM Punk Honors Eddie Guerrero

The following are results from the WWE live event in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The event was held on Saturday, August 24, 2013.

-The Prime Time Players (Darren Young & Titus O’Neil) defeated 3MB (Drew McIntyre & Jinder Mahal) via Pinfall. Young and O’Neil got a good babyface reaction from the crowd. The finish saw O’Neil pick up the pinfall after hitting his finishing move.

-The Great Khali defeated Hunico via Pinfall. Hunico, who was basically in his hometown here, got a decent babyface reaction from the fans. The match was said to be pretty slow, and somewhat boring. The finsh saw Khali pick up the pinfall after hitting Hunico with the Karate Chop Of Death.

-Ryback defeated Kofi Kingston via Pinfall. No Shell Shock finisher here. The finish saw Ryback, being a bully, squeezing the referee in the middle of he and Kingston for a meat hook off the top-rope for the 1-2-3.

-Natalya & Kaitlyn defeated AJ Lee & Layla via Submission. The fans got the vote for the stipulation in this one. They chose a Dance Competition over an actual tag-match. AJ refused to participate in the dance-off. Layla went all out, doing a lot of the popular dances from the 1990s for a decent crowd reaction. As much as one could expect, giving the fact it was just chicks dancing. Eventually, AJ and Layla attacked Natalya and Kaitlyn, which led to a match. In the end, Natalya put Layla in the Sharpshooter and got the tap out.

-Dolph Ziggler defeated Big E. Langston via Pinfall. Langston cut a little promo before the match on the video screen. He basically talked about how SummerSlam was a fluke and he wouldn’t lose again. The match started off slow, but eventually picked up and the crowd got with it. In the end, Ziggler hit the Zig-Zag for the 1-2-3.

–Intermission–

-Cody Rhodes defeated Damien Sandow via Pinfall. Sandow cut a small promo on his walk to the ring saying he deserved a better reception when he comes out from the fans here in Las Cruces. He bad mouthed the city a bit and then the match started. The finish came when Rhodes hit his Corss-Rhodes finisher on Sandow for the 1-2-3.

-Christian defeated Alberto Del Rio via Disqualification. Del Rio, due to the pro-Hispanic crowd, got a pretty good pop coming out. Del Rio ended up getting some heat from the crowd by trying to cower away by taking his title and leaving. Christian wouldn’t let him, however. At one point, Del Rio applied his Cross Arm-breaker after throwing the referee into Christian. Christian ended up tapping, and Del Rio started celebrating. However, it was revealed that Del Rio didn’t win. He was DQ’d for throwing the ref at Christian, so the tap that came later didn’t count.

-CM Punk defeated Curtis Axel in a No–DQ Non-Title Match via Pinfall. Paul Heyman came out with Axel and cut a promo. He said the stipulation was unfair, being a no-DQ match for Axel’s WWE Intercontinental Championship. So, Heyman revealed that he had his lawyers make sure that since it was a no-DQ match, it would not be for the title after all. Punk came out to one of the loudest reactions of the night. Punk was selling a knee injury throughout the majority of the bout. In the end, Punk got the win with a simple roll-up pin for the 1-2-3. After the match, Punk nearly got his hands on Heyman, but Axel ultimately prevented that from happening. Punk hit Axel with a GTS and sold the knee injury after hitting it. After Heyman escaped, Punk cut a promo. Punk saw a sign in the crowd and made Tony Chimel go get it for him. The sign read, “Eddie Guerrero Country.” Punk said being here always makes him think of Eddie, and got a loud “Eddie” chant going from the crowd. Punk called Eddie the “Best In The World.”

Notes:

-The arena was said to be approximately 3/4 of the way filled up.

-Crowd wasn’t the hottest in recent memory, but was alive in certain points during the show.

Bryan vs. Orton Title Match Scheduled, Justin Credible Blogs About Darren Young

-WWE is advertising a main event of Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at the upcoming live event in Montreal on September 6th. The semi-main event of the card features CM Punk vs. Curtis Axel in a no disqualification match. Also advertised to appear are Rob Van Dam, Big Show, Mark Henry and The Shield.

SESCOOPS.COM reader Phil Johnson sent along the following:

-Former ECW Champion Justin Credible has posted a new blog. This week Credible talks on Darren Young “coming out,” Sunday’s WWE SummerSlam, Monday’s Raw, being 9 months sober, among other topics. Jason Knight is this week’s special guest on Justin Credible’s Pro Wrestling 101 video series. Here is an extract from “The Justin Credible Report:”

“What a week for the WWE. Summer Slam is in the books, and there is so much to talk about. First leading into the PPV in LA, Darren Young comes out to TMZ that he is gay.

As you know WWE got a ton of free mainstream press heading into their second biggest PPV of the year. I’m happy for Darren, and I applaud his courage. On the other hand, there is no way that this was just a spur of the moment statement. I have been told that this was carefully thought out, and Darren and the WWE had this planned the whole time. There is just no way that Darren was conveniently asked that specific question and he just happened to decide now is as good a time as any to come out.”

WWE House Show Results (8/16): Portland, Oregon

The following are results from the WWE live event in Portland, Oregon. The event was held on Friday, August 16, 2013.

-WWE RAW General Manager Brad Maddox was the host and ring announcer for the evening. At the top of the show, Maddox announced that WWE Champion John Cena would not be appearing as advertised for the second consecutive WWE live event. He told fans they could receive refunds upon request. He then announced a Battle Royal where the winner would receive a title shot against World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio later in the show.

-Daniel Bryan won the Battle Royal. The match featured R-Truth, Rob Van Dam, Ryback, Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Dolph Ziggler, Big E. Langston, Mark Henry and Christian. As noted, with the victory, Bryan earns himself a title shot later in the show against World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio.

-Kane defeated Luke Harper via Disqualification. Fun match. Crowd was very into the Wyatt Family here in Portland. The finish came when Bray Wyatt and Erick Rowan interfered, causing the disqualification. The match was kept relatively short.

-AJ Lee defeated Kaitlyn via Submission to retain the WWE Divas Championship. The crowd was surprisingly very into this match. AJ got a lot of heat as the heel, and Kaitlyn got a lot of cheers as the babyface. Needless to say, the finish in this one wasn’t botched nearly as bad as it was on RAW this past Monday night.

-R-Truth defeated Ryback via Pinfall. Shocking upset here. Ryback basically dominated Truth throughout the entire duration of the match. The finish came when Truth simply managed to roll-up Ryback for the 1-2-3.

-Christian, Mark Henry & Rob Van Dam defeated The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns) via Pinfall. Very fun match. The crowd was very hot for Van Dam. The finish came when Henry hit Rollins with the World’s Strongest Slam, and Van Dam followed up with his Five Star Frog Splash for the 1-2-3. This was said to be the match of the night.

-Dolph Ziggler defeated Big E. Langston via Pinfall in a No-Disqualification Match. The fans were allowed to vote on the stipulation in this one, thus the No-DQ rules. Due to the fact that neither man could be disqualified, there was use of a lot of “foreign objects,” such as kendo sticks and steel chairs. The finish came when Ziggler hit his Zig-Zag finisher on Langston for the 1-2-3.

-CM Punk defeated Curtis Axel (with Paul Heyman) via Pinfall. Heyman got, by far, the loudest heel response from the fans in Portland. Crowd didn’t seem to care much about Axel either way. Finish came when Punk hit his finisher for the 1-2-3. The heat for Heyman at one point was so loud that fans were having trouble hearing him cut his promo.

-Daniel Bryan defeated Alberto Del Rio via Disqualification. Because of the DQ win for Bryan, Del Rio managed to walk out of Portland as the World Heavyweight Champion. Crowd was very into Bryan as a babyface, to the surprise of no one. Was said to be a very good technical match that the crowd thoroughly enjoyed.

CM Punk Rips Ryan Braun For Drug Use, Update On Cena Missing WWE Live Event

-Yahoo! Sports has an article up on their website today featuring the “straight-edge” WWE performer himself, CM Punk, ripping baseball star Ryan Braun for his announced performance-enhancing drug use during baseball season. You can check out that story online at Yahoo.com.

-To add one note to the story we reported earlier today regarding John Cena being pulled from the WWE live event in Portland on Friday, despite being advertised by the company up until the day of the show, apparently WWE again offered refunds to fans who attended the show that felt ripped off with Cena not appearing as advertised.

Cena missed last week’s WWE weekend live event due to his elbow injury as well, and WWE offered refunds to those fans as well.
