More Details On New Jim Ross Podcast, WWE Payback Date & Location

– The 2014 WWE Payback pay-per-view will take place on June 1st at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois. The Payback pay-per-view in 2013 was held in the same location and was headlined by John Cena vs. Ryback in a “Three Stages of Hell” match for the WWE Championship.

– The new Jim Ross podcast will begin airing in mid-February and will be released on Wednesday’s at PodcastOne.com.

    – Six years ago today, WWE Hall of Famer “Sensational” Sherri Martel died at her mother’s residence in McCalla, Alabama. A toxicology released later that year stated that she died of an overdose with multiple drugs in her system, including high amounts of oxycodone.

    Former NWA World Women’s Champion Tiffany Roxx posted this message in remembrance of Martel, “RIP Sensational Sherri. You were one of my biggest inspirations and I’m still learning from your work.”

    – Bo Dallas is now officially recognized as the new NXT Champion after defeating on Big E Langston on this week’s episode of WWE NXT on Hulu Plus. The official WWE website has published an article acknowledging the title change that also profiles the third-generation wrestler.

    – Prior to this Sunday’s WWE Payback pay-per-view event, Sheamus will duel with Damien Sandow in the WWE Payback Kickoff, which streams live at 7:30 p.m. on YouTube. WWE has released this video previewing the contest.

    – John Cena is currently booked to defeat Ryback in the Three Stages of Hell match this Sunday at WWE Payback.

    – Over the weekend, several changes were made to the Payback card. Playing off their recent dissension, WWE had been planning for Daniel Bryan to wrestle Randy Orton at the pay-per-view. Instead, the two will be teaming up against The Shield’s Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns.

    – Also discussed over the weekend, it’s possible we see two heels turns for Daniel Bryan and Chris Jericho. As previously reported, Daniel Bryan is scheduled to feud with John Cena over the WWE Championship this summer.

    Dolph Ziggler & A Big Rematch Announced For RAW, New Payback Title Match Confirmed

    – At Tuesday’s WWE SmackDown tapings from Uniondale, Long Island, it was announced that Triple H will face Curtis Axel once again on Monday’s RAW.

    World Heavyweight champion Dolph Ziggler also appeared during the show via sattelite and said that he will be returning to RAW this coming Mondahy as well.

    – A Triple Threat match for the Intercontinental championship has been added to WWE Payback. Champion Wade Barrett will defend against both Fandango and The Miz.

    Plans For The Shield At WWE Payback, Rumored IC Title Match

    Following Monday’s RAW, here’s the latest backstage news heading into next month’s WWE Payback pay-per-view:

    – Intercontinental champion Wade Barrett is expected to defend his championship against Fandango and The Miz in a Triple Threat Match. As noted earlier, Sin Cara is no longer in the title picture.

    – On RAW, The Shied defended their respective titles against the former champions who they defeated at Extreme Rules. Ambrose retained the US Title against Kofi Kingston, while Reigns & Rollins successfully held on to the Tag Titles after a hard fought match against Team Hell No.

    With those rematches already having taken place, it looks like The Shield will have fresh opponents

    * When The WYATT FAMILY Will Debut In WWE, WWE Title Reign Planned For Ryback?

    John Cena vs. Ryback Three Stages Of Hell Match, Cena Troops Video

    – Following Monday’s RAW, John Cena’s WWE Championship defense against Ryback at next month’s WWE Payback pay-per-view will now be a Three Stages of Hell match.

    Originally booked as an Ambulance Match, the first stage of “hell” will be a Lumberjack Match. The second stage will be a Tables Match. The third stage, if necessary, will be an Ambulance Match.

    – Former WWE creative team member Court Bauer revealed on Twitter that David Kreizman, who started with WWE months ago, is now a WWE head writer. He is a Daytime Emmy award winning soap opera writer.

    – TNA star Kurt Angle has been added to the Alumni section of WWE.com. It’s true.

    – WWE is holding a ticket pre-sale this week for the new Payback pay-per-view. The event takes place on Sunday, June 16th from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois. The online pre-sale begins Thursday morning with the password PUNKPPV. Tickets will be on sale for $500, $300, $90, $70, $50 and $25 and go on sale to the general public this Saturday.

    – Another match expected to be added to the WrestleMania 29 card is Team Hell No defending the tag team championships against Dolph Ziggler & Big E Langston. WWE got the feud started on RAW when Langston attacked Daniel Bryan and continued the angle at the SmackDown tapings.

    – In response to online reports that Drew McIntyre appeared to be shaken up after getting attacked by Mark Henry and Ryback on RAW, McIntyre tweeted the following:

    WrestleMania 29 Card Changes, WWE Announces Payback PPV & More

    – WWE officially announced the new June “Payback” pay-per-view today, which takes place on Sunday, June 16 from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois. Tickets go on sale Saturday, March 23.

    WWE.com published an article looking at the 25 “grandest” WrestleMania celebrities. Muhammad Ali topped the list, followed by Donald Trump, Mike Tyson, Mr. T and Ozzy Osbourne.

    – With WrestleMania 29 less than a month away, WWE officials are still undecided on the undercard matches that will take place at the show. The top of the card is set – but as of this weekend, a lot of changes were made to the other planned matches. There is a lot of tension backstage due to Vince McMahon constantly changing creative plans.
