WWE Introduces New World Tag Team Titles, Retiring Raw Tag Belts

Triple H presented Awesome Truth with the new WWE World Tag Team Championships during the 4/15 episode of WWE RAW. This was a historic moment in front of a frenzied Montreal crowd.

Awesome Truth won the RAW Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 40. Two weeks later, the company did away with those titles and replaced them with totally new belts.

WWE is in a new era, and that has brought many changes. The Undisputed Tag Team Championships were split during WrestleMania 40, and now the RAW Tag Team Titles are no more. In their place, Triple H introduced new titles.

WWE World Tag Team Title reveal

Crowning New Champions on 4/15 WWE RAW

Triple H made his way out during RAW this week and the Montreal crowd was pumped to see him. Then the camera revealed that the ring was done up in its red carpet look, with something covered on a podium in the center.

It did not take long for Triple H’s promo to get directed toward the new RAW Tag Team Champions. Then Awesome Truth made their way to the ring. Triple H revealed that Awesome Truth are no longer RAW Tag Team Champions. They are now the World Tag Team Champions, and that came with new titles.

WWE’s New World Tag Team Champions title belt

When The Game revealed Awesome Truth’s new titles, R-Truth flipped out and thought it was an amazing magic trick. Then he mistook Triple H for Tommaso Ciampa once again.

Triple H left, but not before taking Awesome Truth’s old titles and putting the new ones around their shoulders. As R-Truth and The Miz raised their new titles up, fans cheered the new belts.

After the new WWE World Tag Team Titles were given to Awesome Truth, they held a triple threat tag team match to decide a new #1 contender. Team DIY, Creed Brothers, and The New Day. In the end, Team #DIY won the match, so they will face Awesome Truth for the new World Tag Team Titles first. That might get confusing for R-Truth, because he thinks they are Shawn Michaels and Triple H.

WWEShop already has the new World Tag Team Champions replica belts available for pre-order here:

Rhea Ripley Vacates Women’s World Title on WWE Raw, Will Be Out For Months Due to Injury

Rhea Ripley has been forced to relinquish the WWE Women’s World Championship due to an injury that doctors have told her will keep her sidelined for months. She was injured during the backstage attack from Liv Morgan on the RAW after WrestleMania 40.

The April 15 edition of WWE RAW started with Rhea Ripley making her way to the ring with her arm in a cast. She also had a sullen look on her face, and a bit frustrated at her current situation.

Ripley started by saying, “obviously you guys know what’s going on,” before explaining that she is not medically cleared to compete for a few months. She will also need to vacate her title, The Nightmare was not happy about this.

WWE Women’s World Title Vacated

Rhea Ripley put her title down, and Montreal members of the WWE Universe were not happy about seeing Mami go.

The fans chanted “bullsh*t,” while Ripley said she agreed with them. She also said the Women’s World Title means the most to her, but she had to put it down anyway.

After laying down her title, Rhea Ripley cut a promo directly to whoever wins the Women’s World Title. Mami said her revenge tour will before blood.

Liv Morgan has been flexing online after the news broke of her injury. It remains to be determined how WWE will crown a new champion, but you have to imagine that Morgan will be in the running.

Morgan came out to rub salt in Ripley’s wounds after being warned that the Eradicator will hurt her. Security had to separate them, and then Ripley took out a security guard with a headbutt for good measure.

It was later announced during RAW that they will crown a new Women’s World Champion next week in Columbus, Ohio during their 4/22 episode.

WWE Raw Preview (4/15): Rhea Ripley, Chad Gable IC Title Shot, Sheamus Returns & More

WWE returns to Montreal, Quebec, Canada tonight for WWE RAW at the Bell Centre. Nearly 12,000 fans will be on hand to see the next chapter in this new era as we look ahead to WWE Backlash: France on Saturday, May 4. Here’s a quick preview, followed by our detailed breakdown of what to look forward to:

Matches

  • Jey Uso vs. Finn Balor
  • Chad Gable vs. Sami Zayn (c) for the Intercontinental Championship
  • Andrade vs. Dominik Mysterio
  • Ivy Nile & Maxxine Dupri vs. Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell
  • Katana Chance & Kayden Carter vs. Chelsea Green & Piper Niven

Segments:

  • WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley addresses Liv Morgan attacking her last week
  • Sheamus returns for the first time since last summer
  • Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes will appear

Jey Uso vs. Finn Balor

Last week, Jey Uso secured himself a future title shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, which is currently held by Damian Priest. Before he vies for the title, though, Uso will test himself against Priest’s Judgment Day stablemate Finn Balor on tonight’s episode of WWE RAW. While Uso and Balor have frequently shared the ring in tag team competition, this will mark their first-ever televised singles match

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Sami Zayn vs. Chad Gable

Ahead of WrestleMania 40, Chad Gable provided Sami Zayn with advice on how to beat “The Ring General” GUNTHER, with the expectation that Zayn would later repay Gable in some fashion. Zayn’s implementation of Gable’s advice later resulted in a triumphant victory at WrestleMania 40, as he unseated GUNTHER to become the new WWE Intercontinental Champion. Following his win, Zayn has now extended an invitation for Gable to vie for the Intercontinental Championship on “WWE Raw.”

For Zayn, tonight’s title match will not only mark the first defense in his current reign, but also a homecoming, as he grew up in the Quebec province. For Gable, tonight serves as an opportunity to capture his first singles championship in WWE.

Sheamus Returns

The WWE Universe last saw Sheamus on the August 18 episode of SmackDown as he battled WWE Hall of Famer Edge in what would be their first, and last, singles match. After an 8-month hiatus, “The Celtic Warrior” will now return to WWE, greeted by a new landscape and a new era.

Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes Appears

After meeting face-to-face with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on last week’s episode of RAW, newly-crowned Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes is slated to appear in a promo segment of sorts tonight. While the topic of this segment has yet to be revealed, it is worth noting that Rhodes is one step closer to finding out the identity of his first challenger.

Katana Chance & Kayden Carter vs. Chelsea Green & Piper Niven

Following a loss to Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair on WWE SmackDown, Chelsea Green and Piper Niven have an opportunity to regain their momentum as they take on Kayden Carter and Katana Chance later tonight. These pairs last met on the January 8 episode of Raw – a month after Chance and Carter defeated Green and Piper to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.

Andrade vs. Dominik Mysterio

At WrestleMania 40, Andrade and Rey Mysterio defeated Santos Escobar and Dominik Mysterio with the help of the NFL’s Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson. Later tonight, Dominik Mysterio will have the opportunity to avenge his loss when he battles Andrade in singles action.

Dominik previously attempted to recruit Andrade to The Judgment Day. Ultimately, those efforts were done in vain, as Andrade opted to align himself with the Latino World Order instead.

Ivy Nile & Maxxine Dupri vs. Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell

For the last month, Candice LeRae has directed several ill-mannered remarks toward Alpha Academy’s Maxxine Dupri. Naturally, this led Dupri’s ally Ivy Nile to stand up in her defense. On tonight’s episode of WWE RAW, this feud will seemingly culminate as Dupri and Nile square off against LeRae and Indi Hartwell in tag team action.

This tag team contest will mark the third in-ring encounter for these competitors, with each team heading into tonight with one previous victory. Who will win the rubber match?

Rhea Ripley Addresses Liv Morgan’s Attack

Fueled by the feeling of revenge, Liv Morgan brutally attacked WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley with a chair last week. On tonight’s episode of RAW, Ripley will respond. What will the champion have to say?

Watch: What Happened With CM Punk Once Raw After Mania (4/8) Went Off Air

CM Punk made a surprise appearance during the main event of the Raw after WrestleMania 40 and once again made a big impact on the world title scene.

McIntyre held the world title briefly at the Show of Shows. His decision to taunt the Straight Edge Star after the win over Seth Rollins cost him big, however. After Punk snapped on the Scottish Warrior, his attack allowed Damian Priest to successfully cash in the Money In The Bank contract.

The main event of this week’s Raw then saw McIntyre alongside Bronson Reed, Ricochet, and Jey Uso battling for an opportunity to challenge for the world title.

Right as Drew was going to win the whole thing with a Claymore on Uso, CM Punk made a surprise appearance. His distraction allowed the former Bloodline member to take advantage and pick up the win.

The show went off air with Punk standing on the announce desk, celebrating Jey’s victory with his signature hand gesture. He stayed around after the cameras stopped rolling and cut a promo for the crowd:

CM Punk first put over the Philadelphia crowd for their wrestling spirit and then shouted out the WWE crew for putting together the show. The former world champion ended his promo by promising to have his wrestling boots on the next time WWE visits the city.

What Happened On Raw After WrestleMania

Elsewhere on the show we saw surprise appearances from people such as Jade Cargill, John Cena, and even The Rock.

Jade Cargill defeated Chelsea Green in a short match while John Cena teamed up with the new tag team champions R Truth and The Miz for a match against The Judgement Day. Cena and Awesome Truth picked up the win in this bout

The Rock, on the other hand, confronted the new Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes in a tense segment and further confirmed that his run with the company was not over just yet.

Jey Uso Becomes #1 Contender For WWE World Heavyweight Title On RAW After WrestleMania 40

WrestleMania is in the rearview mirror at this point, and we have a new World Heavyweight Champion in Damian Priest. This week’s RAW after WrestleMania 40 sorted out his next challenger.

Damian Priest needs a challenger, and Jey Uso won a match on the RAW after WrestleMania 40 to clinch that #1 contender spot.

WWE RAW After WrestleMania 40 Main Event

The main event of the RAW after WrestleMania 40 was a fatal four-way match to determine the #1 contender for Damian Priest World Heavyweight Championship. Drew McIntyre, Bronson Reed, Ricochet, and Jey Uso battled in this match.

This match ended in controversy, because just as Drew McIntyre was about to nail Jey Uso with a Claymore Kick, CM Punk appeared from under the ring to hold Drew’s foot to screw him up.

Jey Uso responded by getting the best of McIntyre, which included a top rope splash for the win. Now, Uso will get a shot at Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship. The date of their upcoming match was not confirmed.

CM Punk was very happy about Jey Uso’s win, as he did the YEET hand movements after the match. Then again, Punk was also elated to get one over on Drew McIntyre by costing him the big win.

Uso had a big WrestleMania, where he defeated his twin brother, Jimmy Uso at WrestleMania Saturday. He was also a part of the main event on WrestleMania Sunday, where Cody Rhodes got to finish his story against Roman Reigns.

Drew McIntyre Not Happy

Drew McIntyre made it very clear that he wants the World Heavyweight Championship back. He had the title for just over five minutes at WrestleMania Sunday, but then CM Punk’s attack on him opened the door for Damian Priest’s successful Money in the Bank cash-in.

McIntyre was not happy about how things went down at Mania. He is also not a fan of the Money in the Bank concept, because it’s cost him two championships at this point. After all, The Miz cashed in his MITB contract on McIntyre in 2021 to win the title from him.

Ominous Glitches Appear During WWE RAW After WrestleMania 40

WWE is resetting a lot of the deck after WrestleMania 40, and that could bring a brand-new storyline to the picture.

During Bronson Reed’s promo on RAW this week, something very interesting happened. A glitch appeared on the screen, and it looks like this was all on purpose.

Fans in attendance at the Wells Fargo Center received a crazy, ominous tease as well. The lights went down, and strange music started to play before the show even started.

It appears that WWE is teasing something, because production glitches like this don’t just happen out of nowhere, as they are very likely choreographed to be a part of the show.

Possible Meaning Behind The Tease

If you remember, Bray Wyatt’s initial return with his revamped character after his release was started with playing Jefferson Airplane’s “White Rabbit” at house shows, as they bathed the crowd in a red light. That was followed by a slew of QR codes. These new teasers have a lot of those same vibes.

With the idea that WWE may use Bo Dallas again, and the Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal documentary ending with an apparent tease for Uncle Howdy’s return, this is a very interesting situation.

Fightful Select went on to report that details about Bo Dallas’s return, including the version or character he may portray, remain uncertain. While under WWE contract since 2022, he hasn’t made an appearance on live WWE programming for over a year, coinciding with Bray Wyatt’s absence from television due to illness.

It’s anyone’s guess what this means, but WWE is certainly up to something.

SEScoops will keep our eye on this story for more details. It appears that Triple H has a lot of stories planned for after WrestleMania 40.

John Cena Shocks Fans With Appearance On WWE RAW After WrestleMania 40

John Cena was able to make it back for WrestleMania 40, and he stuck around Philly for the RAW after the show of shows.

Much to the surprise of fans in Philly, John Cena showed up on the RAW after WrestleMania, where he took part in a match. He also helped his team achieve victory in the process.

Cena’s Surprise Appearance

Judgement Day came out on RAW this week to hype their WrestleMania accomplishments. They are down the Tag Team Titles, but they are still covered in gold.

After Damian Priest was introduced as the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, R-Truth came out next. He carried on his story with the Judgment Day, and then The Miz entered the situation. This resulted in a proposed match, but a six-man tag team match was arranged instead.

R-Truth said that their tag team partner against Judgment Day would be a guy that nobody can see. Some thought he was talking about Little Jimmy, but that’s not who he had in mind.

The six-man tag team match started as a handicap match. Suddenly, near the end of the match, John Cena entered the contest as Awesome’s Truth partner.

The three babyfaces executed triple 5 Knuckle Shuffles, and then they all hit Attitude Adjustments. The new RAW Tag Team Champions won the match with John Cena’s assist. It was quite a moment for fans in the Wells Fargo Center.

Cena Wants Another Run In WWE

John Cena just appeared on the Pat McAfee Show at WWE World. He said that he would like another run in WWE.

During an interview, Cena expressed his desire to temporarily step away from Hollywood to return to WWE for one final run.

He mentioned his hope for the Hollywood system to slow down a bit, allowing him the chance to reunite with his WWE “family” and embark on this journey.

The Rock Spotted Before 4/8 WWE RAW After WrestleMania 40

The Rock won his tag team match during WrestleMania Saturday, but things didn’t go so well for the Bloodline on WrestleMania Sunday. Now, it appears the Final Boss is at WWE RAW.

WWE RAW is at the Wells Fargo Center for their episode after WrestleMania. The Rock has been spotted before show at the site of RAW this week.

A video is going around social media showing The Rock arriving at the Wells Fargo Center. It appears that he will be on hand, but it is unclear if he will appear during the show.

WrestleMania 40

The Rock and Roman Reigns beat Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in the main event of WrestleMania Saturday. That meant the main event of WrestleMania Sunday would be Bloodline rules.

During the Undisputed Universal Title match on April 7, Cody Rhodes finished his story and beat Roman Reigns for the title. The Rock was around as well, where he did interfere, but he also ate a chokeslam from The Undertaker, which put him out of the match.

WWE Raw Preview (4/8): The New Era Begins

With WrestleMania 40 now in the rearview mirror, the fallout is soon to follow, beginning with tonight’s episode of WWE Raw, which emanates from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Although no matches or segments have been confirmed for Raw, several WWE talents are advertised to appear, including:

  • Newly-minted Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes
  • New Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn
  • WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley
  • Seth “Freakin” Rollins
  • “Main Event” Jey Uso
  • “The Man” Becky Lynch
  • Ricochet

Interestingly, WWE SmackDown star Kevin Owens is also slated for the show, per WWE’s official website.

WrestleMania 40 Fallout

Despite the uncertainty surrounding the specific contents of the Raw after WrestleMania, fans can likely expect a new era, or at least a new story, to begin tonight.

Coming out of WrestleMania, seven new champions were crowned, four of which have major implications for the red brand. The biggest title change, of course, occurred in the main event of night two, as Cody Rhodes unseated the long-reigning “Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns. With Rhodes’ victory, Reign’s historic title run officially ends at 1,316 days. For Rhodes, his victory marks the official finish to his story, as he is now the first member of the Rhodes family to claim the WWE Championship. As that story closes, though, another one will shortly start, which begs the question — what is next for Cody Rhodes?

Roman Reigns wasn’t the only WWE Superstar to have a historic reign ended at WrestleMania. After a grueling battle on night one, Sami Zayn now holds the honor of snapping the longest Intercontinental Championship reign in WWE history – a reign that was set by “The Ring General” Gunther. How will Gunther respond to his shocking loss? That question may soon be answered.

The WWE World Heavyweight Championship also changed hands, not once, but twice, at WrestleMania. In the opening match of night two, Drew McIntyre defeated Seth Rollins to claim his third world title in WWE. Unfortunately for McIntyre, his celebration was soured by a series of kicks from CM Punk and a successful Money in the Bank cash-in from Damian Priest.

Heading into WrestleMania, the WWE Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships were held in unison by The Judgment Day’s Damian Priest and Finn Balor. Coming out of a six-pack ladder match, though, both sets of titles now have their own homes. While Grayson Waller and Austin Theory claimed the SmackDown Tag Team Championships, R-Truth and The Miz are now the proud owners of the Raw Tag Team Championships. How will the separation of the tag titles impact WWE’s tag team division?

John Cena Joining The Pat McAfee Show Before WWE Raw

John Cena is making the most of his trip to Philadelphia for the WrestleMania 40 fallout. Cena was a surprise run-in for night two of the “Grand Daddy Of Them All” as the future WWE Hall Of Famer aimed to help Cody Rhodes against Roman Reigns. It was “Bloodline Rules” which meant anything goes and anything went as Rhodes vs. Reigns had several interferences and John Cena was one of them.

Cena saved Cody from a double attack from Reigns and Solo Sikoa as he ran down to take out Solo, putting him through a commentator’s table and giving Reigns an Attitude Adjustment. However, The Rock came out and delivered a Rock Bottom to his old rival from over a decade ago, taking Cena out of the equation. However, it was The Undertaker who trumped The Rock by delivering a chokeslam to ‘The Final Boss’ and Cody ended up getting the job done by hitting three Cross Rhodes to ending Roman’s reign.

Cena was one of many babyfaces to celebrate with Cody after he “finished his story” but Cena will have his own story to tell at WWE World in Philadelphia before WWE RAW.

Cena will be the guest of Pat McAfee on The Pat McAfee Show. He’s scheduled to show up at 1 PM ET, but fans haven’t seen him since last year after making a memorable run over the summer.

Serendipituosly enough, the last person to beat Cena was Solo Sikoa at WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.

WWE Breaks All-Time Record With 4/1 RAW Before WrestleMania 40

WWE keeps raking up the records around every corner. This week’s episode of RAW was a loaded one before WrestleMania 40. They also captured another impressive achievement.

Fans showed up in Brooklyn this week for the go-home RAW before WrestleMania. That included breaking a new all-time record for any previous episode of RAW. This week marked 13 straight sell outs for WWE television, and it was the largest domestic gate in the history of the show.

WWE Breaks New Record

During WWE RAW this week, The Rock opened up the show with a brutal promo. After he buried Cody Rhodes a bit, he had a big announcement to make.

Dwayne Johnson revealed that WWE RAW in Brooklyn for their April 1 episode brought the biggest episode of RAW ever. This was a huge note as the go-home episode before WrestleMania 40.

Ariel Helwani previously said on the MMA Hour that he had heard that WWE was going to break a record for all-time gate tonight in Brooklyn. It seems that came to pass after all, and those fans were thrilled to be a part of history.

WWE RAW Attendance on 4/1

WrestleTix’s Patreon account noted that WWE RAW event at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY was a legit sell-out. With a total setup capacity of 13,345 seats, all of which have been distributed, there wasn’t an empty seat in the house. Michael Cole claimed that there were 15,546 fans in the building during the show.

They broke their previous attendance record dating back to SmackDown on December 1, 2023, which saw 12,241 attendees. The Rock took credit for this achievement as they kicked off RAW this week. The crowd was also on fire for the opening segment.

SEScoops will have more on this story, and so many more, for more updates. Please keep checking back throughout the day for more updates!

4/1 Monday Night RAW Shaping Up To Break All-Time WWE TV Gate Record

The final WWE Raw before WrestleMania 40 will be a historic night in many ways and is expected to see the highest gate for any TV show in the history of WWE.

Sources told Ariel Helwani of the MMA Hour that the show is “shaping up” to break the record for WWE programming. The show will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Another Big Success

The April 1, 2024, Raw is just the latest in a long line of successes for WWE. As Wrestle Tix reports, this show is also completely sold out. 13,345 tickets have been distributed for the Barclays Center with 0 available tickets re

WWE Monday Night Raw – April 1, 2024

It’s hardly a surprise that tonight’s Raw is in high demand given the stacked show that has already been announced. It has been confirmed that both The Rock and Roman Reigns will be on the show. The duo will team up to face Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins at WWE WrestleMania 40: Saturday.

Sami Zayn will hope to build momentum on tonight’s Raw ahead of his Intercontinental Championship match with GUNTHER at WrestleMania. That may be easier said than done as Zayn will take on ‘Big’ Bronson Reed.

It’ll be eight-man tag-team action on Raw when DIY & the New Day take on The Judgment Day. DIY, the New Day, and Finn Balor & Damian Priest will all be in the WrestleMania six-pack challenge ladder match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championships.

Ivy Nile & Maxxine Dupri hope to get revenge on Candice LeRae following weeks of horrific comments by the Poison Pixie. LeRae will team with Indi Hartwell to face Nile and Dupri on Raw.

This is some of the action from the April 1, WWE Raw. Fans watching at home will have to get comfortable as the first hour will be commercial-free.

WWE Raw Preview: The Rock & Roman Reigns Appear, DIY & New Day vs. Judgment Day

The final episode of WWE Raw before WrestleMania 40 will emanate from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Here are the 3 matches (and 1 segment) announced for Raw, followed by our detailed preview of each one:

• The Rock & Roman Reigns To Appear

• DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) & New Day (Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston) vs. The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, Damian Priest, & JD McDonagh)

• Ivy Nile & Maxxine Dupri vs. Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell

• Sami Zayn vs. Bronson Reed

Here’s what you need to know heading into this week’s WWE Raw:

Roman Reigns & The Rock Return

Five days before they battle Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins on night one of WrestleMania 40, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be present on tonight’s episode of WWE Raw.

For Johnson, this will mark his second consecutive appearance on the red brand. Last week, Johnson ended the show by delivering a brutal (and bloody) beatdown to Rhodes in the venue’s parking lot. For Reigns, tonight will mark his first Raw appearance of 2024, as his work is primarily typically dedicated to the SmackDown brand.

Sami Zayn vs. Bronson Reed (Round 2)

After punching his ticket to WrestleMania 40 with a grueling gauntlet match victory, Sami Zayn was tasked with facing one of the men he previously emerged victorious against, Bronson Reed.

Unfortunately for Zayn, his wave of momentum was interrupted by a giant Tsunami, resulting in Reed scoring the win on last week’s episode of Raw. With WrestleMania 40 now just a few days away, Zayn has the opportunity to avenge his recent loss as the two square off in a rematch tonight.

DIY & New Day vs. The Judgment Day

A few weeks ago, WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce and WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis announced that Judgment Day’s Damian Priest and Finn Balor would be defending their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships in a six-pack ladder match at WrestleMania 40. As such, several qualifying matchups were made to determine the five challengers for this title match. Two of those challenging spots were claimed by DIY (Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano) and The New Day (Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston).

Before DIY and New Day collide on the grand stage of WrestleMania, they will join forces on tonight’s episode of WWE RAW. Together, DIY and New Day will take on Priest and Balor, in addition to their fellow Judgment Day stablemates Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh, in eight-man tag team competition.

Ivy Nile & Maxxine Dupri vs. Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell

For nearly a month, Candice LeRae has displayed a much more aggressive attitude – an attitude that has been primarily pointed at Maxxine Dupri. Last week, Ivy Nile fought LeRae in Dupri’s honor, but much like previous weeks, LeRae was drawn to using underhanded tactics to secure the victory.

Tonight, Nile and Dupri look to score some retribution as they face LeRae and Indi Hartwell in a tag team match.

WWE Raw Preview (3/25): CM Punk Returns, Sami Zayn vs. Bronson Reed, Andrade vs. Ivar

As the Road to WrestleMania inches closer to the finish line, WWE makes a stop at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

Here are the 5 matches (and 1 segment) announced for Raw, followed by our detailed preview of each one:

  • CM Punk Returns
  • Andrade vs. Ivar
  • Ricochet vs. JD McDonagh
  • Ivy Nile vs. Candice LeRae
  • Sami Zayn vs. Bronson Reed
  • Jey Uso vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

Here’s what you need to know heading into this week’s WWE Raw:

CM Punk Returns

CM Punk returns to WWE programming in his hometown of Chicago.

While he may not be able to compete at WrestleMania 40, CM Punk will make a special appearance on the penultimate WWE Raw on the Road To WrestleMania. Tonight will mark Punk’s first appearance on the red brand since he revealed that he sustained a torn triceps during the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match.

Tonight will also serve as Punk’s official return to the city of Chicago, which, aside from being his hometown, holds an added significance given that his surprise return to WWE emanated from this very same venue.

What will “The Voice of the Voiceless” have to say?

Andrade vs. Ivar

At the 2024 Royal Rumble, Andre made his official return to WWE. As he continues to reacclimate himself with the WWE Raw roster, Andrade has been approached by Dominik Mysterio with the idea of potentially joining The Judgment Day stable.

Earning an entryway into this stable is no easy task, though. As such, Andrade will attempt to gain favor with the Judgment Day as he takes on Ivar on tonight’s episode of Raw.

Ricochet vs. JD McDonagh

On last week’s episode of WWE Raw, Ricochet earned a hard-fought victory against The Judgment Day’s Dominik Mysterio. After the match, Mysterio’s Judgment Day stablemate JD McDonagh attempted to blindside Ricochet with an attack from behind. Unfortunately for McDonagh, Ricochet’s flexes kicked in relatively quickly, allowing him to duck under McDonagh, and eventually, escape him altogether. Now, the two will meet one-on-one inside the ring.

Ivy Nile vs. Candice LeRae

After Candice LeRae launched several unkind remarks toward Maxxine Dupri, Indi Hartwell implored her tag team partner to issue an apology to Dupri. While it seemed like LeRae was headed down the course of making amends, she, instead, double-downed on her previous statements, telling Dupri she was “rotten” at wrestling.

Infuriated by LeRae’s comments, Ivy Nile seized the opportunity to stand up for Dupri, and challenged her to pick on her instead. As such, LeRae and Nile will now settle their differences in the ring.

Sami Zayn vs. Bronson Reed

Sami Zayn has earned the right to challenge Gunther for Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 40. Before he steps onto WWE’s grandest stage, though, he must overcome a giant obstacle, literally.

Two weeks after eliminating “Big” Bronson Reed in a grueling gauntlet match, Sami Zayn is slated to face him again on this week’s episode of WWE Raw. Will Zayn’s wave of momentum continues its course, or will Bronson Reed come crashing through with a thunderous Tsunami?

Jey Uso vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

In less than two weeks, Jey Uso will face off with his own brother, Jimmy Uso, on “The Grandest Stage of Them All.” Tonight, though, he is tasked with taking on the unpredictable Shinsuke Nakamura in what will be their first singles match since January 2021.

WWE Raw Preview (3/18): Last Woman Standing, WrestleMania Tag Team Qualifiers, IC Title Contract Signing

The Road to WrestleMania continues forth as WWE makes a stop at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina for tonight’s episode of WWE Raw.

Here are the 4 matches (and 1 segment) announced for Raw, followed by our detailed preview of each one:

  • Last Woman Standing: Becky Lynch vs. Nia Jax
  • WrestleMania 40 Tag Team Qualifying Match: The Miz & R-Truth vs. Indus Sher (Veer Mahaan & Sanga)
  • WrestleMania 40 Tag Team Qualifying Match: The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed) vs. DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa)
  • WrestleMania 40 Tag Team Qualifying Match: Alpha Academy (Otis & Akira Tozawa) vs The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods)
  • Gunther and Sami Zayn contract signing

Here’s what you need to know heading into this week’s WWE Raw:

Last Woman Standing Match: Becky Lynch vs. Nia Jax

While Becky Lynch has seemingly forged a truce with Liv Morgan, the same cannot be said in regards to Nia Jax.

Following her victory over Morgan last week, Lynch extended her hand to Morgan backstage, signaling a peace offering, Unfortunately, as the two then shook hands, they were ambushed by Nia Jax. After throwing Morgan into one of the nearby chests, Jax sent Lynch crashing through a table.

Later in the evening, Lynch challenged Jax to face her in a Last Woman Standing match on this week’s episode of Raw. For Lynch, this will mark her second encounter with the stipulation, as she previously outlasted Charlotte Flair at WWE’s 2018 Evolution event. For Nia Jax, tonight will be her first time competing in a Last Woman Standing match.

WrestleMania 40 Tag Team Qualifying Matches

Last week, WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce and WWE SmackDown General Managers Nick Aldis announced that Damian Priest and Finn Balor would be defending their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships in a six-pack tag team ladder match at WrestleMania 40. Given the raised stakes, WWE has organized a series of qualifying matches to determine which five teams will be challenging them for the titles at WrestleMania.

Tonight, six teams from the red brand will vie for the first three spots in the WrestleMania ladder match. The respective qualifying matches are as follows:

The Miz & R-Truth vs. Indus Sher (Veer Mahaan & Sanga):

While the last decade has seen them on opposite sides of the ring, veteran R-Truth and The Miz have since reunited, namely in an effort to counteract attacks from The Judgment Day. Tonight, though, they have an opportunity to put themselves in line for a tag team title shot, as they take on Veer Mahaan & Sanga of Indus Sher.

The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed) vs. DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa):

Paired with their mesmerizing athleticism and stately displays of strength, Brutus and Julius Creed have made quite an impression since moving up to WWE’s main roster last October. With a high-stakes WrestleMania 40 spot on the line, the Creed Brothers now look ahead to veterans Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa, whom they will face on tonight’s episode of Raw. These teams faced off once before, as the Creed Brothers defeated DIY in November 2023.

Alpha Academy (Otis & Akira Tozawa) vs The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods):

You can’t have a tag team qualifier without one of the most decorated WWE Tag Team Champions of all-time. As such, it is only fitting that the New Day’s Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston also have an opportunity to secure their positions on the WrestleMania 40 card. For this occasion, they will be squaring up with Alpha Academy’s Otis & Akira Tozawa.

IC Title Contract Signing

Following a hardy performance (and victory) a number one contenders gauntlet match, Sami Zayn will come face-to-face with the man he is now slated to battle on The Grandest Stage of Them All — Intercontinental Champion Gunther.

With his win last week, Zayn has earned the right to challenge Gunther for his title at WrestleMania. Before they can lock up there though, the two must make this match official with a contract signing.

WrestleMania 40 Challenge: Jey Uso Sets Sights On Match Against Twin Brother Jimmy Uso

WrestleMania 40 is less than 30 days away, and this week’s episode of RAW saw a lot of momentum toward the show of shows. Jey Uso took the microphone, and he had a lot to say.

Jimmy Uso screwed his brother, Jey, out of an IC Title match a couple of weeks ago. Now, Jey wants to face his brother on the grandest stage of them all. He was on RAW this week, where he laid down that challenge.

Jey Uso’s WrestleMania Challenge

Main Event Jey Uso’s journey as a singles competitor on RAW saw him carve out his own path and establish his legacy apart from The Bloodline. That being said, his progress has often been impeded by interference from The Bloodline, particularly his estranged brother, Jimmy Uso. Frustrated over his brother’s interference and tired of missed opportunities, Jey Uso took matters into his own hands on the latest edition of RAW.

During the show, Jey Uso confronted the situation head-on and proposed a solution to resolve their ongoing conflicts. He issued a challenge to his older brother, Jimmy Uso, for a high-stakes ‘Brother vs Brother’ showdown at WrestleMania 40.

The crowd responded with enthusiastic YEET chants, indicating their excitement for the potential clash between the siblings on the grand stage of WrestleMania. It looks like we may get YeetMania this year.

WrestleMania 40 For The Bloodline

This match holds significant value for WWE’s stories, and The Bloodline saga. After all, a brother vs brother match for the Usos has been on fans minds for a very long time. Given the history between the two brothers, particularly Jimmy’s betrayal of Jey at last year’s SummerSlam, things could get very interesting.

Jey Uso recently spoke about this match, and he said he can’t wait for the promo battles. It looks like he got started early on that with a great promo on RAW.

SEScoops will have more on this story as additional updates are made available. You never know what will break next, but we will be here with all the headlines you need.

CM Punk Set For Chicago WWE RAW Before WrestleMania 40

CM Punk made his grand return to WWE back in November in the closing moments of Survivor Series 2023 from Chicago. He began feuding with Seth Rollins and they were on track to have a top match at WrestleMania 40. Unfortunately, Punk tore his right tricep in the Royal Rumble, underwent surgery and won’t be cleared for action any time soon.

Since then, he’s made a few public appearances. Punk was at UFC 298, along with Bianca Belair and Montez Ford. He’s appeared in front of the live crowd after WWE Raw has gone off the air, and explained to fans why he’s not part of the WWE 2K24 roster. We now know when CM Punk will be back on WWE television.

WWE has announced that CM Punk will be there live in person when Monday Night Raw stops through Chicago, IL on March 25.

Here’s the official announcement for CM Punk’s appearance when the ‘Road to WrestleMania’ runs through the Windy City:

CM Punk’s Injury

CM Punk tore his right tricep in the Royal Rumble, underwent surgery and is now on the road to recovery.

Although it’s unclear exactly how long CM Punk will be out of action, he probably won’t be wrestling for several more months.

The injury was a devastating setback for the controversial figure, who had been away from WWE for nearly a decade prior to his return. Punk arrived in WWE the same way he did in AEW: seemingly rested, refreshed and excited to write the final chapter of his career on his own terms.

Whenever CM Punk does return, we can expect a motivated veteran eager to get back to his game-plan to remind fans why he’s still the Best in the World.

WWE Raw Preview (3/11): Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan, Gauntlet Match To Challenge Gunther at WrestleMania

The Road to WrestleMania rolls on as WWE heads to the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas for tonight’s episode of WWE Raw

Here are the 3 matches announced for Raw, followed by our detailed preview into each one:

  • Gauntlet Match (Winner will challenge Gunther for Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 40): Ricochet vs. Chad Gable vs. Sami Zayn vs. Bronson Reed vs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. JD McDonagh
  • Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan
  • Women’s Tag Team Championships: The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane)
    (c) vs Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark

Here’s what you need to know heading into this week’s WWE Raw:

Gauntlet Match: Winner Challenges GUNTHER at WrestleMania

After a successful title defense over Jey Uso, Intercontinental Champion Gunther declared that he was on the hunt for his WrestleMania 40 challenger. Naturally, this statement then boasted several possibilities. In the weeks following, various members of the WWE Raw locker room pitched their case as to why they should be the one to oppose “The Ring General.”

While Chad Gable is out for familial vindication, Ricochet pointed out that he was the last person to hold the Intercontinental Championship before Gunther’s historic reign began. Sami Zayn, on the other hand, is simply eager to secure his spot on the WrestleMania card (as well as potentially tacking on a fourth run with the title).

Who will challenge Gunther at WrestleMania 40?

With many names expressing interest in facing Gunther, WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce finally narrowed the field down to six. In addition to Zayn, Gable, and Ricochet, the likes of JD McDonagh, “Big” Bronson Reed, and Shinsuke Nakamura will have an opportunity to punch their ticket to WrestleMania when they compete in a number one contenders match.

The winner, of course, will also earn the right to challenge Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship at the two-night premium live event.

What goes around, often comes back around. That certainly was the case for Becky Lynch last week.

Two weeks ago, Nia Jax blindsided Becky Lynch with an attack from behind on WWE Raw. Lynch later retaliated with an ambush of her own while Jax competed in a match against Liv Morgan. As a result, Morgan was handed a loss via disqualification, and Adam Pearce set up a rematch between Lynch and Jax.

Though Jax and Lynch were keen on settling their score, Liv Morgan used their match as an opportunity to get some revenge of her own. As Jax stood on the outside of the ring, Morgan launched herself off the barricade to deliver an elbow to Jax’s face, forcing the referee to call for the bell.

Upset by Morgan’s actions, Lynch confronted her backstage, and subsequently challenged her to a fight on this week’s episode of Raw.

Women’s Tag Title Match

Six days after successfully defending the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships against Lyra Valkyria and Tatum Paxley on WWE NXT, Kairi Sane and Asuka look ahead to their next challengers — Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark.

Sane, Asuka, in addition to IYO SKY and Dakota Kai, watched on as Baszler and Stark defeated Kayden Carter and Katana Chance on last week’s episode of Raw.

Seemingly impressed by their performance, Kai announced that the two would earn an opportunity to challenge Sane and Asuka for their titles tonight. Kai, however, also vowed that Sand and Asuka would leave the both of them crying, much like they did with former Damage CTRL stablemate Bayley.

WWE RAW Preview (3/4): Becky Lynch vs. Nia Jax, Jey Uso vs. Drew McIntyre

The Road to WrestleMania continues as WWE makes a stop at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas for tonight’s episode of WWE Raw.

Here are the 2 matches announced for Raw, followed by our detailed preview into each one:

  • Becky Lynch vs. Nia Jax
  • Jey Uso vs. Drew McIntyre

Raw Preview (3/4/24)

Here’s what you need to know heading into this week’s WWE Raw:

Becky Lynch vs. Nia Jax

Following her win in the grueling Women’s Elimination Chamber match, Becky Lynch confronted the woman she will now be challenging at WrestleMania 40 — WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley. Unfortunately for Lynch, their February 26th meeting was interrupted by “The Irresistible Force” Nia Jax, who blindsided Lynch with a pair of leg drops and an Annihilator.

Fueled by her “Irish rage,” Lynch later retaliated, unleashing a counterattack on Jax during her singles bout against Liv Morgan. While Jax was eventually able to flee from her flurry of strikes last week, Lynch convinced Raw General Manager Adam Pearce to let them settle their differences in a one-on-one match tonight. This contest, of course, will serve as a rematch of their encounter at the Day 1 episode of Raw, where Jax emerged victorious.

Despite losing in their previous entanglement, Lynch is confident that she can permanently take Jax out of her path, so she can then properly focus on her WrestleMania title match against Rhea Ripley.

Jey Uso vs. Drew McIntyre

Old foes will meet once again following a backstage brawl on last week’s episode of WWE Raw.

A week after his brother, Jimmy Uso, cost him the Intercontinental Championship, Jey Uso reflected on the pattern of his recent losses in a backstage interview with Jackie Redmond, pointing out that they seem to occur when the stakes are raised. Despite these losses, though, Jey Uso has vowed to keep showing up to Raw as the “Main Event” superstar he knows he is.

Before Uso could complete his thoughts, he was approached by “The Scottish Warrior” Drew McIntyre. Initially appearing to be extending Uso some empathy, McIntyre’s expression then turned cold as he proclaimed that Uso “deserve[s]” the misfortune that has come his way. Naturally, this led the two men to a backstage brawl.

Interestingly, former Intercontinental Champion Ricochet is also advertised — via WWE.com and the Frost Bank Center website — to appear on Raw. Should he compete, it will mark his first televised match since the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble.

WWE RAW May Be Homeless In Months Before Netflix Jump

RAW is leaving the USA Network, because SmackDown is going to that channel. The longest-running weekly episodic television show in history is actually leaving cable altogether, as they are jumping to Netflix. There is a lot to unpack with this story, and it gives WWE an interesting situation as well.

WWE’s deal with Netflix shook the pro wrestling world for many reasons. The groundbreaking arrangement will also leave the red brand in a strange transition state after their deal with the USA Network expires.

WWE’s Lack Of A Plan

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that WWE doesn’t have anything arranged at this time for RAW’s final months in 2024. Their deal with the USA Network is up in September, and there is no home for the red brand until their Netflix deal starts in January next year.

“RAW will end on the USA network on the last week of September, and it will debut on Netflix on the first week of January 2025, so we have three months where we don’t know anything. On the investor’s call, it was brought up — the three months — and one thing that was very clear is that they have no idea. They expect that it will be somewhere, they told me that they’d have something to announce relatively soon, and now here we are, and not only do they not have anything to announce, but when they did their perspective of 2024, you know as far as money and profits, their predictions of 2024 were lower.”

Looking Ahead For WWE Television

It was then noted that since WWE has nothing in line for RAW during October, November and December 2024, those three months are left without any note next to them on the budget sheet, so they are going to draw no television money at this point.

WWE is in a tough spot here, because any network would love to have RAW, because it would draw a lot of viewers. The problem is that the show would be entering the situation with the intention of going to Netflix as soon as 2025 starts.

WWE NXT is also leaving USA Network, as the CW is picking up that weekly show in October. As of this writing, we still have no official announcement of WWE’s plan for October through December this year when it comes to RAW.

WWE may already have a television arrangement in line for RAW for the last three months of the year. If that is true, then that begs the question about why WWE hasn’t announced those plans yet. At this point, it is affecting WWE’s overall earnings to leave three months blank before their jump to Netflix.

SEScoops will keep a close eye on this story for more updates. You never know what will happen next in the pro wrestling world, especially when it comes to television rights deals.

Unmasking Real Identity of NYPD Officers That Attacked Cody Rhodes On Raw

Cody Rhodes had quite a match against Grayson Waller on WWE RAW this week, but then Paul Heyman came out with some reinforcements. While Heyman claimed that his backup was off-duty police, it seems that wasn’t the case at all.

The WWE extra who was brought in to take a brunt of Cody Rhodes’ abuse has now stepped forward. It was indie wrestler Nessy Skylark was the man behind the stunt.

Backstory of Unprotected Chair Shot

Amidst the aftermath of the match, Paul Heyman made an appearance, seeking to dissuade Rhodes from his pursuit of The Rock. Unfazed by Heyman’s attempts at persuasion, Rhodes stood firm, armed with a chair as a defensive measure against Heyman’s men.

Rhodes’ then said that one more step toward him would result in a lot of violence, and Heyman thought this didn’t apply to him at first, but he was mistaken. After Cody destroyed Heyman’s henchmen, that action forced Heyman to retreat, while calling up The Rock and Roman Reigns in the process.

During the melee, Rhodes delivered a devastating blow to one of Heyman’s associates, striking him squarely in the face with a chair before executing a punishing Cross Rhodes maneuver.

Cody Rhodes’ Victim Revealed

The repercussions of Rhodes’ assault were evident as the injured associate, later revealed to be professional wrestler Nessy Skylark, took to social media to showcase the aftermath, revealing a visibly swollen half of his face.

”Only slightly less handsome than before, but we good”

Some fans were a bit shocked that Cody Rhodes whacked this extra with a chair, because unprotected shots to the head are not allowed in today’s WWE. That being said, it seems that everything is okay in the situation.

On another note, right after RAW went off the air, Cody Rhodes also took part in a gender reveal for an expecting couple in the San Jose crowd. It’s a boy, and it was also quite a moment.

SEScoops will have continued coverage of WWE RAW, and Cody Rhodes’ journey as he tries to finish his story at WrestleMania 40.

Watch: Cody Rhodes Does Gender Reveal For Fan After Raw Went Off Air

Cody Rhodes has made it a tradition to do something unique at the end of every show he main events. However, even the American Nightmare wouldn’t have expected what a fan would request to him after this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw from SAP Center in San Jose, California.

The former IC Champion main evented the show in a match against Grayson Waller following their segment at Elimination Chamber.

Despite interference from Austin Theory who was at the ringside, Rhodes managed to win this bout. He first sent Theory crashing over the announce desk and then used the Cross Rhodes to pin the Australian superstar.

After this bout, Paul Heyman came out with three ‘NYPD Officers’ and tried to talk to Cody. The Royal Rumble winner, however, wasn’t having any of it and he stopped Heyman from entering the ring.

Cody Rhodes then declared that The Bloodline wasn’t hunting him anymore and it’d be him that would hunt the Bloodline now. The show ended with Cody taking out the police officers as Heyman called both The Rock and Roman Reigns.

What Happened After Raw

The former AEW star stayed in the ring for the fans after Raw went off air. During his promo a fan asked the wrestling star to do a gender reveal for his baby.

Even Rhodes was a little surprised at this request and mentioned how the internet was mad at him when the last time he did a gender reveal for his own baby. Cody then told the fans in the arena that they will also become the parents to the child after this before finally doing the gender reveal.

The Rock will be returning to WWE programming this Friday at SmackDown. We’ll have to see how The Great One responds to the challenge from Rhodes after tonight’s show.

Paul Heyman Delivers Message To Cody Rhodes From Bloodline During 2/26 WWE RAW

Cody Rhodes shocked fans during Elimination Chamber when he called out The Rock to a match “any time, anywhere.” This week’s episode of RAW continued that story, as Paul Heyman showed up on RAW to deliver his own message.

Heyman advised that Cody Rhodes needs to take The Rock’s name out of his mouth.

Cody Rhodes Gets Message From Paul Heyman

After Cody Rhodes beat Grayson Waller in the main event of RAW this week, he had company. Paul Heyman made his way to the ring with security guards around him, who he claimed were off-duty police officers.

Heyman said that he knows how embarrassing it must have been for Cody to get “Will Smith’ed” by The Rock like he did during the WrestleMania kickoff conference in the T-Mobile Arena, but he said Cody “needs to take The Rock’s name out of your freaking mouth.

After a back-and-forth, Cody delivered a message to The Rock through Heyman. He told The Rock to come get him, and that caused Heyman to get into the ring, but Cody wouldn’t let him.

Heyman’s security guards got in the ring instead, and they surrounded him. Then Cody made it clear that he will drop everyone in the ring if anyone takes a step closer to him. Paul said that doesn’t count if he’s the one person stepping toward him, and Rhodes said that was wrong before he took out all the security guards.

Cody made it clear that he is hunting The Bloodline, and it’s not the other way around.

After Paul Heyman got out of the ring, he pulled out two cell phones. He told one phone to call The Rock, as the other he ordered to phone up Roman Reigns.

RAW ended this week after Cody Rhodes laid out another dish of punishment to Heyman’s security guards. The Rock will be on SmackDown this week, so we will have to see if he answers Rhodes’ challenge for a match.

WWE RAW Preview (2/26): Elimination Chamber Fallout, Imperium vs New Day Street Fight

WWE RAW’s February 26th episode will go down in the SAP Center in San Jose, California. The episode promises to feature fallout from the recent Elimination Chamber event held in Australia. As WrestleMania approaches, with only 40 days until the grand event, the anticipation is palpable. Let’s take a look at what WWE has booked already.

There are currently two matches scheduled for RAW, including Sami Zayn taking on Nakamura, and a Street Fight between the New Day and Imperium. Additionally, Drew McIntyre emerged victorious in the Elimination Chamber, earning the opportunity to challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40. Furthermore, Becky Lynch secured a significant victory in the Elimination Chamber, earning the right to challenge Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship at the upcoming WrestleMania 40 event.

  • Sami Zayn vs. Nakamura
  • Street Fight: New Day vs Imperium

Raw Preview (2/26/24)

Sami Zayn vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

Zayn and Nakamura were excluded from WWE’s Elimination Chamber booking. They already had this contest booked for RAW, and both men have a lot to prove. Sami is still trying to find his footing, and his eyes are on GUNTHER for a WrestleMania IC Title shot. Also, Nakamura could use a big win, as his efforts to derail Cody Rhodes as he tried to finish his story were not successful.

Street Fight: New Day vs Imperium

New Day and Imperium have been building toward this match for a while. Both teams were left off Elimination Chamber, and odds are, they will leave it all on the table in San Jose. Since we are on the road to WrestleMania, every match is even more important, especially in a contest like this were both teams could use the boost in momentum. After Judgment Day retained their titles in Perth, it is very possible that the winner of this match will have a title match in their future.

Drew McIntyre’s Next Move

Drew McIntyre won Elimination Chamber to challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40. The Scottish Warrior will be there to really start his WrestleMania build, something that he has actually been at work on for a while now.

Becky Lynch Celebrates Road to WrestleMANia

Becky Lynch won Elimination Chamber to challenge Rhea Ridley for the Women’s World championship at WrestleMania 40 as well. With both Chamber winners coming out of the red brand, it seems that this week’s episode of WWE RAW is more must-see than ever.

SEScoops will have more coverage of WWE RAW as updates are made available. Keep checking back during the show for breaking headlines!

Michael Chandler’s Mic Drop Moment: UFC Fighter Unveils How WWE RAW Appearance Happened

Michael Chandler stepped out of the UFC world to take part in WWE RAW this week. He was in the crowd, and he had a lot to say. Luckily for the UFC fighter, he was also handed a live microphone without a script.

Chandler Speaks On WWE RAW Appearance

Michael Chandler, who is usually recognized for his prowess on the microphone in the MMA realm, left a significant mark on RAW this week. Chandler delivered a speech on the show, shedding light on whether it was scripted.

In this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, UFC Lightweight contender Michael Chandler issued a challenge to Conor McGregor for a fight inside the Octagon. Concluding his impassioned appeal with the phrase, “See you at the top!”

In an interview on the MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Michael Chandler dove deeper into his time on the mic during WWE RAW, revealing that he strained his voice during the promo.

“I actually strained my voice during Monday Night Raw,” he explained. “Before going on, a producer mentioned, ‘Hey, this microphone has a gate.’ I asked, ‘What does that mean?’ They replied, ‘It means you need to speak up.’ I didn’t think it would be an issue. The moment seized me, and a star was born. While it was planned for me to be at Raw, it was the first time UFC and WWE were blending crowds, bringing in fighters. Placed in the front row, I took initiative.”

When questioned if he deviated from the script during the promo, Chandler disclosed that he improvised the entire speech without any scripted guidance.

“Two minutes before, they said they were going to put the camera on me. I said, ‘Why don’t you give me the microphone?’ ‘Hold on, let me run it up the flag pole.’ About a minute later, ‘You’re going on and you’ll get the microphone if you want it.’ Magic happened. There was nothing prepared. I was thrown into the fire. Smacked myself a couple of times, and we went.”

Who Was Behind Michael Chandler’s WWE RAW Appearance? (Exclusive)

After Michael Chandler appeared on RAW for his call-out of Conor McGregor, I asked around about who made these plans. I was told that he did not have any type of script, and the booking was done through TKO.

Since WWE and AEW have the same parent company, there is a very good chance that fans will see more crossover segments like this. Chandler certainly made the most of his time with a microphone on live television.
