SmackDown Spoilers: Taping Results Airing 11/29

WWE taped the November 29 episode of SmackDown after the November 22 episode of the show this week from the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. They had the Prime-branded canvas for the second taping. Below are the complete spoiler results:

Triple Threat Women’s US Title Tournament Match – Michin def. Piper Niven and Lash Legend: Legend replaced Jade Cargill in the match after the former AEW star was attacked by an unknown assailant this week. Chelsea Green was at the ringside for Niven and she attacked Michin during the bout. B-Fab came out to even the odds, allowing Michin to finally pick up the victory.

Singles Match – Shinsuke Nakamura def. Andrade: Nakamura entered with a new variation of his theme song. He defeated Andrade with a Kinshasa. US Champion LA Knight tried to attack the Japanese star after the bout but Nakamura sprayed black mist into his eyes.

Singles Match – Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes def. Carmelo Hayes: This match was made official after a backstage confrontation between the two at this week’s show. Rhodes beat Melo with a Cross Rhodes.

WarGames Segment: Bianca Belair, Naomi, Bayley, Iyo Sky, and Rhea Ripley all came out to promote the Women’s WarGames match. Bayley was there replacing Cargill into Ripley’s WarGames team. Rhea cut a promo before Liv Morgan, Nia Jax, Raquel Rodriguez, Tiffany Stratton, and Candice LeRae came out. Morgan said that it was suspicious for Bayley to join the team right after Jade was taken out. The two teams then got into a brawl before the security ran down to break the fight up.

Singles Match For Advantage In Men’s WarGames – Jacob Fatu def. Jey Uso: Fatu won the match with a springboard moonsault to get the advantage for his team.

WWE also taped a Speed match where Zelina Vega beat Chelsea Green in between the two SmackDown episodes. The advance taping will allow the talents to stay home for the Thanksgiving holiday instead of traveling.

CM Punk & The OG Bloodline Stand Tall After 11/22 WWE SmackDown

The OG Bloodline, alongside CM Punk, continued to stand tall after this week’s SmackDown went off the air. In the closing moments of the show, Punk returned to programming to align with Sami Zayn, The Usos, and Roman Reigns. The group, accompanied by the also-returning Paul Heyman, brought the fight to Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline, putting to rest Solo’s plan for Reigns’ faction to surrender.

After the show, Reigns had a tense face-to-face with Punk, before the OTC, Sami, and The Usos, threw up the iconic Bloodline finger. Punk, beating to his own drum as always, didn’t join in with the gesture and instead hit his own ‘Go To Sleep’ taunt.

It remains to be seen whether Punk and Reigns will be able to co-exist, as both men had strong words for one another prior to Punk’s WWE return. Punk was openly critical of WWE during his AEW run, with Roman Reigns saying the following to BT Sport in response:

“CM Punk was not as good or as over as John Cena. [He] wasn’t as good or as over and moved the needle like The Rock.”

Now, Punk and Reigns will have to co-exist to take on Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline inside WarGames. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on the Bloodline saga ahead of WWE Survivor Series: WarGames on November 30.

The Monster Among Men ended up joining Lee and Mysterio and the match was converted into a six men tag. The former Universal Champion picked up the victory for his team in the end and the babyfaces stood tall to end the night:

New WWE Women’s United States Championship Introduced

WWE has introduced a new Women’s United States Championship after years of discussion from wrestlers and fans alike about a secondary women’s title on the main roster. Raw and SmackDown roster members are eligible to challenge for the Women’s US belt.

WWE has made major strides in elevating its women’s division for the last decade after pushing its female stars as Divas. NXT was already a step ahead of WWE in this respect, with an NXT Women’s Champion and an NXT Women’s North American Champion.

The introduction of secondary titles for female superstars could bring greater depth, more storylines, and additional title opportunities to the women’s roster, giving a platform to more wrestlers outside the main title picture.

WWE/NXT Women’s Championships

With the addition of the United States title, there are now seven sanctioned women’s championships in WWE and NXT.

Sami however, decided to align with his old friends instead. The show ended with the original Bloodline standing tall after taking out Solo and his teammates.

The Motor City Machine Guns Comment On SmackDown Debut

The Motor City Machine Guns say it’s a dream come true to finally make their WWE debuts after teaming together for almost 2 decades.

The duo had been teased on WWE programming in recent weeks and the company officially announced their signing before this week’s episode of SmackDown.

Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin would go on to make their in-ring debut on the October 18 show and win a triple-threat tag match to put the whole tag division on notice.

The duo appeared on SmackDown LowDown after their big debut and made their first comments. Sabine said that it’s pretty crazy to finally be in this position:

“It’s pretty surreal. I’d like to say it’s a dream come true, but it’s more than that. This is a goal accomplished for us. It might have taken over 20 years to get here, to get to this position, but being one match away from being number one contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championships? That’s pretty crazy. Just saying it out loud kinda blows my mind a little bit,”

Best Tag Team On The Planet: Motor City Machine Guns

The Motor City Machine Guns defeated both Los Garzas and A-Town Down Under upon their arrival. The win is a step towards winning the Tag Team Championships and the duo will now face DIY in a #1 contenders match next week.

Speaking about their upcoming bout, Alex Shelley claimed that they have come to WWE to prove that they’re the best tag team in the world. The team of Johhny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa are the perfect opponents to do this against:

“We take things one step at a time, but DIY is exactly why we came to WWE. Exactly why we want to declare ourselves the best tag team on the planet, because we beat all the great tag teams that already exist in the WWE Universe. So I apologize to you in advance DIY, but you’re looking at the next WWE Tag Team Champions.”

Motor City Machine Guns first started teaming together in 2006. They made their TNA debut in April 2007. The duo never looked back after that and they have revolutionized tag team wrestling with their unique style since then.

The ending of the match saw Michin first sending Niven crashing through the side of the dumpster. She then power-bombed Chelsea Green through a table set inside the dumpster and closed the lid to win the match.

What Happened On SmackDown

The Bad Blood go home episode of SmackDown was full of many noteworthy moments. The show saw the TV return of AJ Styles who unfortunately seems to have suffered an injury during his match with Carmelo Hayes.

The event also featured the return of the Dumpster match. Michin picked up a victory over Chelsea Green in the bout, sending Green into a Twitter tirade.

Spoiler Behind Mysterious ‘Coming Soon’ Vignette On (10/4) SmackDown

The mystery personnel behind the vignette on this week’s episode of SmackDown from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville have been revealed.

The Blue Branded show this week featured a ‘Coming Soon’ vignette with a speeding car seemingly running away from law enforcement in a metro city.

The first sign of the persons behind the video package was observed in the skyline shown in the video. Fans recognized it as a scene of Detroit, the hometown of the veteran tag team Motor City Machine Guns.

If the hints weren’t enough, the WWE Brazilian announcer Marco Alfaro confirmed during the broadcast that the teaser belonged to the legendary tag team:

Motor City Machine Guns To WWE

The duo of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin became free agents in April this year after their TNA contracts expired. Initially believed to be AEW bound, the Guns have come much closer to making their WWE debuts in recent months.

Shelley and Sabin regularly competed in independent promotions in the months after their departure from TNA but they have since said goodbye to the indie scene.

WWE is usually very strict about allowing contracted talents to make outside appearances. The Guns wrapping up their indie dates was a big hint towards their future.

The reports that first suggested that they would be joining the NXT brand have subsided. The tag team is now believed to be heading directly to the main roster.

The new vignette pretty much confirms that the former Impact stars will be joining the SmackDown brand in the very near future.

AJ Styles’ TV Return Finally Confirmed By WWE

WWE has finally announced the return of AJ Styles to TV, putting a lot of rumors about the former World Champion to rest.

The Phenomenal One has been absent from WWE programming for more than three months, causing all kinds of speculation about his health and status with the company.

The promotion finally announced his return for the October 4 episode of SmackDown from Nashville during tonight’s episode of the show. The announcement was made via a video package featuring Styles’ best in-ring moment and his catchphrase ‘This is still the house that AJ Styles built’

Apart from this big return, the upcoming SmackDown episode will also feature a couple of high-profile matches. Below you can check out the card for the Bad Blood go-home show:

  • Ladder Match For WWE Tag Team Championships: The Bloodline vs. Street Profits vs. DIY
  • Dumpster Match: Michin vs. Chelsea Green
  • AJ Styles Returns

AJ Styles Reacts To Will Ospreay Using His Move: “Why do you think it bothers me?”

AJ Styles’ Mysterious Absence

AJ Styles has not been seen on WWE programming since WWE Clash At The Castle: Scotland PPV in June. He unsuccessfully challenged Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at the show.

The former world champion had continued competing at live events. He even traveled with the roster when they made the trip to countries like Japan, Belgium, and Germany. During this time, AJ also made a rare non-WWE appearance, competing at the NOAH Destination event on July 13.

The unexplained absence resulted in much speculation and rumors about the status of the high-flying star. Fans began to wonder if Styles would also be let go from the company like Bobby Lashley when it was revealed that his contract was set to expire later this year.

The announcement of his return, however, confirms that the officials have plans for the wrestling veteran yet and they will likely re-sign him before his deal ends.

Watch: What Happened With Cody Rhodes After SmackDown Went Off Air

A lot happened after tonight’s episode of SmackDown from Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma went off air.

The show featured not one but three dark matches including two women’s bouts. The first dark match saw Kairi Sane picking up a submission win over Chelsea Green.

Liv Morgan defended her Women’s title against Zelina Vega in the second dark match of the night. The two women had a lot of fun with the match. Zelina mocked Liv with her signature pose while Liv pulled out the Three Amigos to try and get the win. In the end, Morgan retained her title.

The final non-televised bout of the night featured Cody Rhodes taking on Austin Theory. Rhodes addressed the fans after his win and even held a fan’s baby for a while.

What Happened On SmackDown

The SmackDown episode tonight saw some very interesting developments for The American Nightmare. The main event featured Kevin Owens and Randy Orton taking on The Bloodline.

KO had asked Rhodes not to come out for the match but the Undisputed WWE Champion still tried to help his friends. In doing so, however, he inadvertently caused Owens and Orton to lose the bout.

Kevin Owens was visibly frustrated with Cody for this. Orton tried to make peace between the two but KO also shoved him, opening the possibility for some interesting story developments in the future.
