Toni Storm Brings Back ‘Timeless’ Persona on AEW Collision

Toni Storm just delivered the performance of a lifetime, as the former Women’s World Champion has been ‘Timeless’ all along. During a face-to-face showdown with Mariah May on AEW Collision: Homecoming, Storm fully embraced her “rookie” persona, appearing wide-eyed and naive. That facade shattered the moment May attacked her with the AEW Women’s World Championship belt. In an instant, the truth was revealed, Storm had been acting all along.

After enduring the brutal beatdown, Storm dropped the innocent act and coldly declared, “I’ve never forgotten anything… I am Timeless Toni Storm again” much to the shock of her former protege turned enemy.

Storm had been absent from AEW television since losing her championship to May at AEW All In. When she returned at Dynamite: Winter is Coming, she portrayed a clueless rookie who was ignorance of her past. Storm had appeared excited to meet people like Tony Schiavone and Thunder Rosa, individuals she has worked with for years as part of AEW.

With the mind games over, Storm and May are set to collide at AEW Grand Slam: Australia, which will serve as a homecoming for the Timeless star. After May won the AEW Women’s World Championship in her native England, Storm hopes to repay the favor next month at AEW’s first-ever event down under.

JoJo Offerman Debuts As AEW Ring Announcer

On January 4, 2025, wrestling fans at AEW Collision in Charlotte, North Carolina, were treated to an unexpected surprise when JoJo Offerman made her AEW debut as a ring announcer during a dark match. Known for her previous work in WWE, Offerman’s appearance marked a significant moment in her return to the wrestling world.

Saudi Arabia to Host 2026 WWE Royal Rumble (Report)

The 2026 WWE Royal Rumble is reportedly set to take place in Saudi Arabia, marking a significant international milestone for the iconic event. According to PWInsider, the deal has been finalized, and an official announcement could come as early as this Monday during the premiere of Raw on Netflix.

Financially, the partnership has been highly lucrative, with WWE reportedly earning $50 million per event in Saudi Arabia, per SES reports. Liv Morgan Update After Injury Scare at Saturday Night’s Main Event

Liv Morgan was said to be ok following her Saturday Night’s Main Event title defense.

The Women’s World Champion defended her championship against IYO SKY at the show. Both Dominik Mysterio and Raquel Rodriguez were at Liv’s side.

The ending of the bout saw SKY hit a running Meteora and she then climbed up the top rope. Morgan, however, countered with a Moonsault of her own and pinned her challenger with an Oblivion.

While Liv successfully retained the title, fans were concerned about the current Champion’s health coming out of the bout. A video of SKY hitting a rough-looking knee to Morgan that went viral made many believe that she might have suffered a broken nose during the match.

PWInsider is reporting, however, that this wasn’t the case. The Judgment Day star somehow managed to avoid any injury and she was said to be ok after the bout.

Rhea Ripley came out to confront Morgan on the ramp as the women’s champion was making her way back. This suggests that we’ve not seen the last of this rivalry and the two female stars will meet again down the road.

Apart from this, Saturday Night’s Main Event featured matches such as Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn and the finals of the US Women’s Title tournament.

The closing match of the night saw Cody Rhodes retain the Undisputed WWE title against Kevin Owens. Though the night didn’t end with Rhodes’ win and there were some major post-match developments after the show went off air. You can check out more about it here.

Dark Side Of The Ring Season 6 Premieres March 25 on Vice

Dark Side of the Ring is a popular documentary series that delves into the controversial, untold, and often tragic stories from the world of professional wrestling.

Produced by Vice TV, the show has earned critical acclaim for its in-depth storytelling, emotional interviews, and exploration of wrestling’s darker and more human elements. The series features wrestlers, their families, and industry insiders recounting personal experiences, providing rare insight into the often tumultuous lives behind the larger-than-life personas.

It was announced through Deadline.com that the series would be returning for another season. The show’s X account announced the season six premiere for March 25th, 2025.

Notable Episodes of Dark Side of the Ring

Some of the most talked-about episodes include:

“The Killing of Bruiser Brody”: Examining the murder of wrestling legend Bruiser Brody.

“The Montreal Screwjob”: A deep dive into the infamous incident involving Bret Hart, Vince McMahon, and Shawn Michaels.

“Chris Benoit”: A two-part episode about the career and tragic double-murder-suicide involving Benoit and his family.

The series has spawned spinoffs and inspired similar projects, solidifying its place as a must-watch for wrestling enthusiasts and documentary fans alike.

WWE Transfer Window Opens: Major Changes Ahead

WWE has officially announced the opening of its transfer window, signaling significant roster changes across its flagship brands: RAW, SmackDown, and NXT. The news was revealed during Friday night’s episode of SmackDown, where commentator Michael Cole stated that the General Managers from all three brands are collaborating to orchestrate strategic moves.

This move comes as WWE gears up for its next big milestone—the highly anticipated debut of RAW on Netflix. The collaboration between the GMs—Adam Pearce (RAW), Nick Aldis (SmackDown), and Shawn Michaels (NXT)—marks a unified effort to realign WWE’s talent pool to enhance storytelling and match quality across the board.

What the Transfer Window Means for WWE

The transfer window concept, akin to drafts and trades in professional sports, offers WWE the flexibility to reshuffle its rosters and elevate new talent into prominent roles.

This initiative ensures fresh matchups, reinvigorated storylines, and a chance for underutilized talent to shine. It also allows the creative teams of each brand to adapt their shows to upcoming challenges, including major events and shifts in audience demographics.

Michael Cole emphasized that the moves being discussed are “major” and could significantly impact WWE’s landscape heading into WrestleMania season.

Fans are already speculating about potential trades on social media, including the movement of top-tier superstars and the promotion of standout performers from NXT to the main roster.

The title LFG stands for “Legends & Future Greats” and will follow a format reminiscent of Tough Enough. Contestants will undergo rigorous training, participate in weekly matches, and learn the behind-the-scenes aspects of the wrestling business. Mentorship will be provided by celebrated stars, including Booker T, Mickie James, and Bubba Ray Dudley.

Executive producers for WWE LFG include Triple H, Lee Fitting, Ben Houser, Shawn Michaels, and Jeremy Borash, representing WWE, with Elaine Frontain Bryant and Brad Abramson producing for A&E.

In addition to LFG, A&E has green-lit two other projects with WWE:

  1. WWE’s Greatest Moments, a series that will highlight the most iconic matches and events in WWE history. Michael Cole is set to host.
  2. WWE Rivals returns for its fifth season, continuing its deep dive into legendary feuds.

“A&E has proved to be an excellent home for WWE content, and we’re excited to partner with their fantastic team on these new show concepts and the latest season of WWE Rivals,” said Triple H, WWE’s Chief Content Officer.

WWE’s Greatest Moments will also be executive produced by Triple H, Fitting, Houser, and Marc Pomarico, alongside A&E’s Bryant, Abramson, and Jonathan Partridge.

This collaboration continues WWE’s successful track record of creating compelling content that bridges sports entertainment and storytelling.

Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods Turn On Big E During Anniversary Segment

Monday’s WWE Raw took fans on an emotional rollercoaster as Raw GM Adam Pearce welcomed Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods to the ring. The segment, filled with props and nostalgic moments, celebrated a decade of The New Day’s success.

Woods expressed gratitude to the fans for their unwavering support over the years, while Kofi reflected on their incredible journey, emphasizing how they couldn’t have achieved their success without the WWE Universe. But the mood shifted as Woods began to hint at unresolved tensions, assuring the fans that their love and appreciation weren’t to blame for what was coming next.

Before they could continue, Big E made his surprise return, receiving a thunderous ovation. He thanked the fans for their support during his recovery, but his tone grew serious as he addressed the discord between Kofi and Woods.

Big E reminded his teammates of their humble beginnings, recalling how their group was born out of desperation—when Kofi considered retirement and he and Woods were on the verge of being released. Big E recounted their unbreakable bond, from comforting him during his neck injury to supporting each other through life’s toughest moments.

With heartfelt words, Big E revealed his plans to serve as their manager until he is medically cleared to return to the ring. However, his declaration was met with skepticism and frustration from his longtime partners.

Woods questioned Big E’s timing, accusing him of abandoning them during their struggles. Kofi joined in, pointing out that other wrestlers like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, and Edge returned after similar injuries, while Big E seemingly chose new opportunities over reuniting with them.

Big E defended his absence, reminding them of the severity of his neck injury, but his words fell on deaf ears. Woods and Kofi expressed their anger and disappointment, with Woods calling Big E a burden and Kofi accusing him of prioritizing himself over the team.

The segment ended on a somber note as Big E sought reconciliation, asking for a hug. Kofi refused, and Big E walked away, leaving the ring. In his absence, Woods and Kofi embraced, vowing to stick together despite the cracks in their friendship.

This emotionally charged reunion left fans wondering if The New Day can ever truly mend their bond or if this marks the end of their storied partnership.

CM Punk and Roman Reigns’ Alliance Draws Insane Social Media Numbers

Roman Reigns and CM Punk have once again cemented their place as top draws in WWE with impressive social media numbers on various platforms. At Survivor Series: WarGames, the pair forged an uneasy alliance as the OG Bloodline with Punk defeated Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline with Bronson Reed in the main event.

Across WWE’s social media platforms, clips involving Punk and Reigns amassed a reported 204 million views in the 24 hours after the show. One Instagram Reel, which sees Reigns block Punk’s entry into the match has hit 91 million views, a reported record-breaking figure for any IG Reel from the promotion within the time window.

Other highlights of this social media dominance include:

  • Reigns blocks Punk’s entry – 13.6 Million views on TikTok
  • Roman Reigns scales the WarGames cage – 10.8 Million views on TikTok
  • Punk enters when Reigns intended – 7.4 Million views on TikTok
  • The OG Bloodline Win WarGames – 7.4 Million views on TikTok
  • Punk saves Reigns from Bronson Reed’s Tsunami – 18 Million views on Instagram. 3.1 Million views on TikTok

The pair are also dominating on Instagram and YouTube, with clips featuring Reigns and Punk being the most viewed from Survivor Series: WarGames. The event came one year after Punk’s shocking return to WWE, which also broke records in terms of viewership.

These numbers highlight the immense star power both Roman Reigns and CM Punk bring to WWE’s table and bodes well for the promotion’s long-term plans. In the build to Survivor Series: WarGames, Punk was promised a favor from Paul Heyman, with fans speculating that this favor could see Punk share the ring with Reigns again, this time as adversaries. Heyman and Punk embraced after the WarGames main event, though the WWE Hall of Famer did not embrace Roman Reigns.

Reigns has confirmed his role in WWE Raw’s debut on Netflix, a show that Punk is also expected to be a part of. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on CM Punk and Roman Reigns as the pair continue to be bonafide draws on WWE programming.

Rhea Ripley Shares Injury Update and Revenge After WarGames Victory

Rhea Ripley is feeling “pretty good” regarding her fractured orbital bone following her victory inside WarGames at Survivor Series. Inside Vancouver’s Rogers Arena, Ripley joined IYO SKY, Bayley, Naomi, and Bianca Belair to defeat Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, and Candice LeRae.

The match was Ripley’s first in close to two months as she has been out with a fractured orbital bone injury. At the post-Survivor Series press conference, Ripley, who donned a horned mask inside WarGames, was asked for an update on her condition.

“Honestly, I can’t see it, so I don’t know. But it feels pretty good.”

Ripley’s orbital bone hasn’t prevented her from seeking revenge on Morgan and Rodriguez, who on WWE TV, caused the injury with an attack at the October 29, show. While she may not be fully recovered, Ripley has her sights set on the pair, as well as former ally Dominik Mysterio should he try to get involved.

“Revenge seems to be the topic of conversation of me and Liv. Dom is in that conversation now. I’m not done with Liv. If Dom wants to stick his nose where it don’t belong, then I’m not done with Dom either. If he’s going to come out and interfere, of course, I’m going to put my hands on him.”

Ripley will have to wait for another shot at Morgan’s Women’s World Championship as IYO SKY is the current number one contender for the gold. Nevertheless, the Australian is far from finished with Morgan, as made clear inside WarGames.

Britt Baker Reveals How Her ‘Cobra Kai’ Role Was Years in the Making

Britt Baker has shared how her perseverance landed her in Cobra Kai after impressing one of the show’s writers with her ‘attitude.’ The former AEW Women’s World Champion appears in the ninth episode of Cobra Kai’s sixth season which landed on Netflix on November 15.

While Baker has only now arrived in the show, getting a role in Cobra Kai has been in the works for the DMD since meeting writer Hayden Schlossberg at the season 4 premiere.

“He recognized me from social media. I kind of joked, but not joking, ‘If you ever need anything, I’m a huge fan and would love to be involved.’”

Schlossberg later contacted Britt, who he feels embodies the “Cobra Kai never-say-die attitude.” While Baker, who plays Russian sensei Oksana, has been working on getting on the show for years, she’s still yet to watch herself on the hit Karate Kid-spinoff.

“I have to be honest, I haven’t even watched it yet. I want to wait for all of it to come out so I can watch it all!”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5cr1J4fI5g&pp=ygUVYnJpdHQgYmFrZXIgY29icmEga2Fp

Baker’s role in Cobra Kai is a huge opportunity for the AEW competitor to extend her star power outside of the squared circle. It remains to be seen if this role will lead to bigger things for the DMD, but years after pitching herself, Baker has at long last found herself in one of the most popular shows currently airing.

Ricky Starks Set for HOG Wrestling Debut Amid AEW and GCW Withdrawal

Ricky Starks will make his debut for House of Glory Wrestling next January, amid his ongoing hiatus from AEW programming. Starks will compete at the Watch The Throne show on January 17, where he’ll challenge Mike Santana for the HOG World Championship. Santana has held the gold since December 1, 2023, when he ended the reign of the self-professed ‘Indy God’ Matt Cardona.

Starks’ impending arrival in AEW comes amid his hiatus from AEW as the former World Tag Team Champion hasn’t been used on TV since March. Starks has speculations about why he’s not being used but has yet to be told by AEW management why the company is not using him.

Not only is Starks not competing in AEW, but he was recently pulled from a GCW event, and all future events for the promotion. It has been reported that a comment by Effy, Starks’ planned opponent for the night, resulted in Tony Khan cutting Starks from all GCW plans. GCW owner Brett Lauderdale only learned that Starks had been pulled at the same time fans learned of the situation on social media. Instead of Starks, Effy will face Matt Cardona at the Highest In The Room 3 event on December 14.

Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Ricky Starks, as fans wait to see what’s next for him, and when, if ever, he next competes in an AEW ring.

Watch: Matt Riddle Makes Surprise TNA Turning Point Debut

Matt Riddle has arrived in TNA.

The Anthem-owned promotion presented its latest Turning point PPV from the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina this Friday, November 29.

One of the announced matches for the night was a six-man tag, featuring the team of Zachary Wentz, KUSHIDA and Trey Miguel taking on The Hardy Bros and Ace Austin.

Earlier in the day before the show, however, the company announced that Miguel would be missing the event due to a travel complication.

Matt Riddle would go on to make his surprise debut as a replacement for the young star, coming face-to-face with the legendary tag team in the process:

The team of Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, and Ace Austin ended up picking up the victory in the end, after Jeff took down KUSHIDA with a Swanton Bomb.

The former US Champion has a history with Zachary Wentz. The two have shared the ring on multiple occasions in the past and Riddle also briefly mentored MSK in NXT

The Bro of Bros has been a featured star on MLW since the start of this year, after being released from WWE late last year. He is set to challenge Satoshi Kojima for the MLW world title at the Kings of Colosseum event on January 11th.

Update On Alexa Bliss And Drew McIntyre’s WWE Return

WWE has started figuring out storylines to bring both Drew McIntyre and Alexa back to TV from their hiatus according to the latest reports.

McIntyre was last seen at the Bad Blood PPV in early October where he lost the Hell In A Cell match to CM Punk, culminating their nearly 10-month-long rivalry. The Scottish Warrior had taken time off from the company afterward for family reasons.

Now PWinsider is reporting that the officials have started discussing the creative to bring the former WWE Champion back. While no plans have been finalized yet, pitches have been made indicating that Drew is closer to a comeback.

Alexa Bliss on the other hand has not been seen on WWE programming since the 2023 Royal Rumble event. She failed to beat Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship at the show.

The former champion has since welcomed her first daughter Hendrix Rouge Cabrera into the world. She has also been dealing with a multitude of health issues, prolonging her absence.

This new report suggests that the company is planning to bring her back after the holiday season. While an exact date for her return has not been set just yet, the belief is that the former champion would make her comeback sometime during the WrestleMania season next year.

Bliss’ name has been teased in recent times. In a recent promo against Wyatt Sicks, Karrion Kross asked them where their sixth member was. This got people speculating about Alexa’s return and in a Twitter exchange, the former NXT Champion claimed he would welcome The Goddess in his Final Testament faction.

Grand Slam: Australia was announced during All In: London 2024 and was originally set to take place at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium. At this time, no matches have been confirmed for the pay-per-view.

While no official word has been given for the change, reports have come out that ticket sakes for Grand Slam: Australia have underperformed. In September, Dave Meltzer shared on Wrestling Observer Radio that sales were “not good” while Bryan Alvarez said that he’s heard similarly from “everyone” he’s spoken with from Australia.

Suncorp Stadium has a capacity of 52,500, while the Brisbane Entertainment Centre has a much smaller capacity of 13,601. This should make filling the arena a much easier task for AEW and lower the risk of embarrassing photos of throngs of empty seats, which have been shared on social media following multiple AEW TV events.

While AEW moving to the smaller venue is clearly not a step Tony Khan and his allies wanted to make, this is what all involved believe is the right course of action. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on AEW Grand Slam: Australia including breaking news and live results.

Roman Reigns Confirms Status For Raw’s Netflix Premiere

Roman Reigns has confirmed that he’ll be making an appearance at Raw’s Netflix premiere on January 6.

The Monday night show’s debut on the streaming platform is shaping up to be a PPV-level event with names such as Cody Rhodes, John Cena, CM Punk, and more being announced already.

The Tribal Chief was also asked about his status for the specific episode and beyond during a recent appearance on the SI Media podcast. Reigns confirmed that he is booked for the premiere:

“I’m not exactly sure. I’m just trying to get to the premiere. I’m on the premiere. I don’t think I can share too much more than that at this point.

I Completely Understand: Roman Reigns

With Netflix spending an average of $500 million per year for the 10-year deal, it’s not hard to imagine that the company would want to see WWE’s top names being featured on Raw including The Head of The Table. It won’t come easy however, as USA officials would like the current lineup for SmackDown to remain as it is.

Roman Reigns knows that he’ll be the subject of a tug-of-war between the two platforms. Though he is not giving anything away when it comes to his future appearances beyond the January 6 show. The former Undisputed champion claimed that they have not scheduled his dates beyond the show just yet:

“We haven’t scheduled my exact dates for going into WrestleMania from Rumble forward, but that is definitely a topic that has to be addressed. It’s an understandable one for the impact, the amount of money that is part of this deal.

I completely understand. These are all great problems to have. Nobody loves being in the tug of war more than me. It usually works out pretty good.”

The OG Tribal Chief will be leading the team of Sami Zayn, the Usos and CM Punk against Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline and Bronson Reed at the Survivor Series: WarGames event on November 30. There are a lot of moving parts in this story.

Fans believe Paul Heyman, who brought Punk into the fold might double-cross Roman for abandoning him after WrestleMania 40. There is also the possibility of The Final Boss making a surprise appearance like he did at Bad Blood.
