Daily Drop (2/27): John Cena Having Fun On OnlyFans During WWE Break, AEW Makes Another On-Screen Hire

Welcome to SEScoops: the Daily Drop, your go-to for the latest news and rumors in wrestling. February 27. WWE RAW was an eventful episode this week, with tons of Elimination Chamber fallout. Let’s get right into things!

Days until WrestleMania XL: 39

Before we get started, the pro wrestling world lost Ole Anderson yesterday at 81-years-old. The pro wrestling world also reacted in a big way, and you may check out some of those reactions here.

WWE:

Cody Rhodes did a gender reveal after WWE RAW went off the air this week, but it wasn’t for himself. The American Nightmare was thrilled to announce the gender of a fan’s baby, and it’s a boy!

– CM Punk addressed his absence from WWE 2K24, but that didn’t stay relevant for long. 2K later announced that Punk, Jade Cargill, Lex Luger, Pat McAfee and so many more will be a part of this year’s DLC as part of the season pass.

John Cena got pretty risqué with an OnlyFans post last night to promote his upcoming Ricky Stanicky movie on Amazon Prime.

– Former WWE announcer Kevin Patrick spoke about his release from the company, and he claimed it was amicable.

Giulia is expected to leave STARDOM next month. Of course, WWE is a popular landing pad for her. Only time will tell where she decides to go next, but she’s leaving Japan at this point.

Piper Niven is out of action with an injury, and we’re wishing her the best in her recovery.

The Rock announced the following upcoming WWE TV appearances on Instagram:

  • Friday, March 1: Glendale, AZ at the Desert Diamond Arena
  • Friday, March 8: Dallas, TX at the American Airlines Center
  • Friday, March 15: Memphis, TN at the FedExForum

NXT is planning another live episode this week, and they have a packed card ready for fans. You can check out the lineup below.

WWE NXT Card (2/27):

  • The O.C. vs. Malik Blade & Edris Enofe
  • Kiana James vs. Kelani Jordan
  • Lexis King vs. Von Wagner
  • Dijak vs. Luca Crusifino
  • NXT Heritage Cup: Noam Dar (c) vs. Member of No Quarter Catch Crew
  • Ilja Dragunov and Carmelo Hayes face-to-face
  • Ridge Holland addresses the WWE Universe

AEW:

Adam “Hangman” Page’s situation for March 3’s AEW Revolution event is “touch-and-go” at this time.

– Ric Flair just celebrated his 75th birthday, and The Nature Boy isn’t slowing down by a long shot.

QT Marshall clarified his status with AEW, as he posted on Twitter/X to say: ”I’m not wrestling at AEW. The fans didn’t like me out there so I’m going to wrestle everywhere else. I’m a man of the people.”

AEW hired a new backstage interviewer with Arkady Aura, and she will be joining the company’s television landscape very soon.

AEW has also responded to the current plagiarism lawsuit that they’re dealing with.

Sammy Guevara showed off the crazy amount of welts that he had on his back after his insane ladder stunt on AEW Collision last week.

– Kevin Nash further explained why he won’t be at Sting’s Revolution retirement match during his Kliq This podcast, “I never said that (that I was on the WWE payroll),” Nash said. “What I said is I’m a WWE guy. I can’t have a picture of me in the crowd and underneath it says, ‘Is all Elite.’ I just can’t have that. It just doesn’t work. One of my closest fu**ing friends is Paul Levesque. As much as I love Steve and I know he will only have one last match, I will watch it. We will talk about it. I haven’t been to a WrestleMania, a RAW, a SmackDown, or any of the other pay-per-views. I haven’t been to any events. I don’t want to go to any place and be around a bunch of people, let alone wrestling people. I just don’t want to do it. I’m a hermit and that’s it.”
